I know MK9 is still set for release, but I can't stand the direction they're bringing it in, so I will be sending them a script for the next MK game, which I have entitled Ascension.

 

The storyline

Millions of years ago, the Elder God's banished one of their own, Scyra, due to the terrible misdeeds she had commited against the Realms.

 

Now, with the help of Shinnok (Scyra's brother), Kahn sets her free in hopes that she'll help them take over. However, Scyra has other plans and betrays them to take over on her own.

 

In desperation to stop her, Kahn requests the help of Raiden to save the worlds from downfall.

Valian Razor - Commonly refered to as Razor, this Tae Kwon Do master joins the fray in MK10. Razor is a member of a secret group of assassins whom have been in hire for over 2000 years. As a good friend of Jax, Razor joins to help out the good guys.

 

Viktor - A behemoth from Orderrealm famous for guarding prisons with his fierce style of brute force kombat. A former friend, turned rival, of Dairou.

 

Dalton - A new main kharacter, and the Konquest hero. An English street fighter who roams the streets in search of a purpose. Soon meets Kano who takes him as his apprentice.

 

Scyra - An Elder God (Goddess) from Chaosrealm who was banished millions of years ago. After being freed by Kahn and Shinnok, she went off to cause destruction and mayhem in an effort to take all the Realms as her own.

I don't get it. What exactly can't you stand about it? 2D? Vs. Capcom-styled assists?

2D is a big reason why I don't like it. The assist thing isn't a big deal.

 

judge games based on four core standards. Storyline, graphics, selection and gameplay. The only one I can't base this remake on is gameplay since I haven't played it, but even that couldn't make up for the other three categories being crap

You only need good Gameplay and Story, that builds the game. Graphics while good, can go duck a sick.

 

Also, storywise Kano died during Deadly Alliance I think, he resides in Netherrealm now I think, try replacing him with Kabal maybe seen as hes still alive. For Scyra's background, make her from Chaosrealm. Viktor could be from Orderrealm instead of Russia, since Dairou was a jailguard from orderrealm, maybe he could have a feud with Dairou. The rest seems fine to me. Also I did not make up any realms, the five realms are Earthrealm, Outworld, Netherrealm, Orderrealm, and Chaosrealm.

Kabal is in it as well. And Liu Kang is a frickin' zombie, so I don't think Kano will be too big of a problem to have there.

The reason i think Kano shouldn't be in it is because Kano lives in Outworld now, not Netherrealm. In any case he has a huge bounty on his head in Earthrealm so he stays in Outworld.

Right, but I see Kano as a bada** who doesn't give a d*** what others think. I understand what you're saying, but he's one of my favorites and it wouldn't be MK without him in it.

It's not 2D I have the problem with. Apart from Megaman 9 & 10, I hate it when new video games are released with horrible graphics. I believe that when a game is released, it should use the graphics of the time.

 

Back when those were the best graphics possible, those games were good. Like the Megaman series and Super MArio Bros 3. But nowadays I don't want to see a game being released with old graphics. I expect current games to have current graphics, that's all. And from what I've seen of the new MK game, the graphics are more like the early 3D MK games, not good for this day and age.

you just said you didn't like the 3D. Being 2D doesn't in any way hurt the games over all look so why did you say you didn't like the 2D?

 

I've seen the graphics off the new MK games and they all look fine.

Classic fighting games are 2D. The system works and has worked for years. You shouldn't do what every one else is doing so just because MOST games are 3D doesn't mean they all should. And we've had many 2D games come out as of late because they were made to be 2D. NSMB Wii, MvC, Bother Street Fighters, and going back more Brawl. We have several more on the way with MvC3, and a couple Sonic games. Also tell the "games should be 3D" thing to Sonic. Not only are games not locked into 2D or 3D but if a game doesn't work in 3D, Sonic, it should stay with what it does best.

 

New MK looks just as good as other fighting games out now, so I have no idea why you're say it doesn't. And even if it isn't up to 2010 level, how old would people think it? 2008? 2 years makes a world of difference doesn't it?
