Anime PKMN team making contest/tournament.

Alright so Ash in the anime has gotten to victory road and he is using pokemon that he has caught from other regions. This is a contest and tournament. We all know Ash sucks beyond belief so we will see how he is in these situations.

 

Rules:

No uber stats. Using pokesav to max eV's and IV's is legal

You can only use pokemon Ash has caught.

You may not evolve the pokemn he has caught EX. Pikachu into Raichu

No items

you may use any moveset as long as it's legit.

These pokemon had to have been caught by Ash so no Haunter nad pokemon like that, Lapras is allowed

The best team will be determined by wi-fi battles.

I understand that Dark knows the damage formula so every participant is required to learn it or use it.

All pokemon will have to be checked before the battle starts so any pkmn coders like Dr Pikachu (gbatemp) and I will be the referees.

you can that's why I said you can use pokesav to max out the EV's and IV's. But Dr Pikachu and I can tell if stats were hacked or not.

Burn isn't a Clause.

 

I thought your tournament was about how stupid ash is and how we can use his Pokemon better, so that's why we should use Items. Items are built into a lot of sets and you're killing them off by not using them. Breloom being one of the best Pokemon in OU is significantly worse without Toxic Orb.

 

The anime has no rules, it's like the first season of yugioh. If you can shoot a thunderbolt into a cloud, fly into it and turn it into armour on your game, then fair enough, Clauses should go out the window. Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause and OHKO Clause. That's all I'm asking for. They're their to make the game fair.

Clauses are for people that can't play the game correctly. The game is always fair unless the pokemon has abnormal stats or moves it cannot learn as well as abilities that it cannot have. You can't use Breloom anyway because never had one.

If this was Yugioh, you'd be ditching the forbidden/limited list because they don't use it on the anime.

I stand by what I said. Every strategy has a weakness. Any combo can be countered. We're not using Clauses. the game is more enjoyable because you're not having to worry against good combos. I don't see the swords dance + baton pass + substitute abuse as a seen problem and that strategy is good. In my opinion, Clauses were made by people who hated losing to the same combo all the time because they were too stupid too find the weakness. So No Clauses

This. I cba to hack an entire team. The tournament would be better with Shoddy, cause we don't have to worry about crappy Wi-Fi connections and stuff.
