Prologue: It's been 15 years since the destriction of of the city of Paradox. When the cards of destiny returned there was an unknown war between those who used their power to defend and those who used it to destroy. In the end the holders of light lost and the entire city and its population were destroyed. But the dark holder survived, but no one knows how it happened.

 

Plot: In the city of Arsam, something is wrong. There have been multipale reports of murder on the streets and the cause is a orginsation known as the Ortho Aris. Their leader is the dark holder who survived the destruction of Paradox. When he escaped he found this city and decided to spreed mayhem, so he formed this orginsation to take out the entire city one by one.

 

No one knows who the Ortho Aris truely are or if anyone can stop them. But there is hope, this city is full of talented dulests and at least on of them can stop the comming darkness.

Bio: Jack is known as the "Elemental King" in his old Duel Academy. With that title he also received a card that looked like him but with clothes of what you'd expect of an Elemental Hero. The wings of Avian, the suit of Sparkman, the boots of Burstinatrix, the arms of Clayman, and the eye mask of Bubble Man was the picture of the card. Those exact suit parts/body parts were on the picture of a card known as "Elemental Fusion". Other than that, not much is known about Jack, other than his family being friends with the "Dratini" family.

"Game over." Aster said watching his opponet fall over. He walked over to his opponet and relped him up. "Nice duel." He said and walked away. "That was a little to easy." he took out his deck and found his favorite card, Life Force Dragon. "You know, duleing isn't fun anymore." He though to himself. "Everytime I even have a match all i have to do is get one good look at him and I know every card in his deck, it's just a little boring." He put the card back into his deck and went for ice cream.

"Hmmm interesting,"Neo Cadi muttered to himself, he was in his Mansion and was reading a papper showing reports from murders happening this year,"It seems more people have died this year mysteriously, than any other year in all of Arsam."Neo Cadi read through the papper carefully,"So bad that people are running around questioning it......"Neo suggested as he decided to walk out the door of his Mansionl."Seems like a Mystery, that I might attempt to solve.......Interesting, however, I have little chance of getting anywhere, Arsam is just too big.....But I'll try,"

Leonard walked out of his little bed. He brushed his teeth until thy were perfect, and then he brushed his hair. He made himself a nice grilled-cheese sandwich for breakfast, and went outside to find a good duel. Then, he somebody stabbed in the throat outside. It was by a man in a black robe, who took all of that person's cards. The robed man then went up to Leonard and pulled out a duel disk. "Now that you saw me, you must die, too." the cloaked man said, drawing 6 cards. Leonard also pulled out his disk and 5 cards, and a duel began.

 

"I summon Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind. Now, since there's a Blackwing on my field, I can summon Blackwing - Bora the Spear. I place 1 card face-down and end my turn." The black-robed man was done.

 

"I draw!" replied Leonard. "I summon my Archmage Donavon in ATK mode! Now, I use the Field Spell Card, Magical Citadel of Endymion!" I used a Spell, so my monster gets a Spell Counter. Now, I use Spell Power Grasp! I place a Spell Counter on my Donavon, and add another to my hand. Since that was also a Spell Card, both my cards get a Spell Counter. This ends my turn."

It was a wonderful day, in Arsam, well.... until lately

 

"Another murder...." Nero Murmered to himself as he read the paper

Nero made himself some toast with butter and set out for a duel.

"Hmm..... Let's see, I think i'll go to town square to duel someone..."

Nero goes to the town square, looks around, noones dueling.

"What the hell? It's supposed to be teeming with people"

Then he saw it, a newspaper blew across his face, which he caught and read.

"Hmm....looks like the murderers are after duelists cards...."

That explains it.

Then Nero saw a man in a black coat, waiting......

"Oh crap."

The man threw a knife at Nero, whiched Nero tilted his head to avoid

Neo walked around the streets in search for answers behind the mystery, as he sneaked in the shadows he heard a scream. That made Neo to react and run towards what happened, there he had a glance before gasping and hiding, of a Masked Man with a blade covered with blood, as an corpse lay dead on the floor.

 

"Come Out !"The Masked Man shouted as he pointed at the area Neo was hidden, as he pointed Neo reveiled himself."For witnessing this, you shall die."He replied as he charged towards Neo.

 

"I challenge you to a duel,"Neo exclaimed as he pulled his Duel Disk as jammed it to the Masked Man's weapon,"Do you except ?"Neo questioned as he noticed the dark shroud on the floor rising."What is this ?"

 

"Haha,"The Masked Man laughed as he pulled out his chaos Duel Disk, then we both drew our cards."Now me first, I set One Face Down Def Mode Monster and set an Face Down and end."

 

"I summon Tunic Soldier in Atk Mode (1600/0), I set a Face Down, now Tunic Soldier attack the Monster."Neo declared as Tunic Soldier drew his Blade and slashed the card, It was Pyramid Turtle (1200/1400)."No Way !"

 

"Yes now when my Turtle is Destroyed by Battle, I can Special Summon 1 Zombie Monster from my Deck to the Field,"The Masked Man grinned as he searched through his deck and selected a card,"Behold Ryu Kokki in Atk Mode (2400/2000)....Do you end."

 

"Yes,"Neo admitted,"If I don't hold this up im going to die, I better draw a better card."

As Aster got closer to the ice cream stand he hurd a scream. He emedatly stoped and went over to check it out, duel disk at the ready. He came around the corner and saw two duelests haveing a match. Oneof then was whearing a mask with a bloody..... well you get the idea. He looked over and saw the dead body gasping in horror. "What the hell is going on?" he wondered steping farther into the alley.

Down one of the back alleys of Arsam, a large, red, hawk-like Duel Runner is speeding through. Eventually, it screeches to a halt outside a dilapidated house and the rider steps off. Kazu Hamaki heads into the dis-repaired house and raps his knuckles loudly on the first door he comes across.

 

"Who is it!" calls a loud yet elderly voice from the other side.

 

"It's Kazu! Open up!"

 

"Ah, Kazu. I wondered when you'd get here," several clicks can be heard on the other side of the door, "Do come in. You should be bring your Duel Disk and Deck. We're not dueling but there's been some annoying little thieves around here and something as good looking as our equipment will no doubt attract them."

 

Kazu collected his stuff and entered his friends home. Looking around he noticed a lot of differences that this place held, compared to his old apartment in Domino. For one thing, there lacked the plethora of clean, though not necessarily new, furniture and random gadgets. For another, there was a large amount of scattered Duel Monsters cards over the floor. Even with these differences the place still seemed extremely homey and Kazu slumped into a sofa close to the door, with his friend resting in an armchair opposite. Taking a look at him, Kazu noticed some diffrences in this man. When Kazu had last visited, the man before him had brighter blue eyes than those before him. He also wore a baseball cap and had a deep, dark red head of hair. However, the man now before Kazu had a terribly misty look in his eyes and his hair had faded to grey. His clothing had changed too. Usually wearing a shabby suit, usually black or blue, he now wore a baggy looking, white tank top and khaki cargo pants. A large change, Kazu thought, that complemented his friend.

 

"So, I hear you're doing well for yourself in Domino." said Kazu's friend.

 

"Indeed I am," Kazu casually replied, "but to be honest, I'd rather find out what you've been up to while I've been gone."

 

"Oh you know me Kazu. Lots of money, flashy cars and many, many women."

 

"Of course," laughed Kazu, "after all, how could The Amazing Carl have anything less!" Kazu leaned towards Carl, with a new, deep look of seriousness and continued. "Carl. I've been meaning to ask you something."

 

"And what would that be?"

 

"I need you to try and get a card for me..."

 

"Hmm? I thought you would've had all the cards you wanted."

 

"Well to be honest I would but there's a certain card I'm lacking."

 

"And what would that be?"

 

"The Mighty Korne Beast Lord."

 

"Isn't that a card you already have?" Kazu immediately looked sheepish. He'd have to admit the embarrassing truth to Carl.

 

"Well... I sort of had it taken from me... By a guy with a large, green duel dis..." A flash of light had caught Kazu's eye. Near the back of the room, inside a dark cupboard, a green flash had struck Kazu's eyes as the Sun had moved across the sky. "Err..." Kazu said quickly, "What's that?" Pointing to the green flash, he moved across the room and brought Carl with him to the cupboard. Carl had an extremely guilty look on his old, grizzled face.

 

"That's-" Carl started but Kazu had yanked the door open and hung up opposite him, was a large green duel disk that greatly resembled a tortoise's shell. And in the middle monster zone sat...

 

"What the hell!" yelled Kazu, "YOU were the one who took that card from me!" Kazu had never felt so annoyed. His old friend had stolen a deeply treasured card.

 

"Hey! Calm down!" Carl was shaking slightly while speaking back to Kazu, "It's not that bad! I just thought if you needed something you'd ask me to find it. I wasn't far off, right?"

 

"Obviously, but why would you do this? If you wanted me to visit you could've just asked!"

 

"Well, sorry but I-" but Kazu had had enough, even though there hadn't been much. He took his card from the Duel Disk, slammed the door of the cupboard and burst out of Carls house, duel disk and deck in hand. Attaching his duel disk to the runner, Kazu started the hawk-like bike and drove off. Leaving his disappointed and guilty friend behind.

 

Speeding down the further alleys, making turns when he felt like, he eventually came upon what seemed to be an ongoing duel. On one side, a crazy wearing a mask, holding a duel disk and covered in what looked like blood, and on the other stood a young man with black hair and determination in his eyes. It seemed the duel had been going on at least for a few turns as the masked crazy had a Ryu Kokki on the field and that, Kazu knew, needed a sacrifice for its summon. Pulling up beside this ongoing street duel, Kazu spun on his runner so he could sit comfortably and watch the duel unfold.

Aster saw Kazu come by on his runner and stop. He stood up and motioned him to followed and he did so. "Look man we need to git him ut of there," Aster looked back at him with the body and th blood eyerywhere. "I think you know what the blood everywhere means." He pulled out his deck. "I hope you know how to duel." He said stareig back once again at that horrorable image. He took out his duel disk, inserted his deck, and activated it looking extremly cool in the moonlight but then he droped it and comleatly spoiled the mood.

Picking up the other guy's cards, he looked towards to the ongoing duel, then at the bloody body nearby. Things seemed pretty clear at the moment. The masked ne'er-do-well has killed someone and now gotten himself into a duel with a random stranger. Odd as it was, the dead guy to precedence.

 

"Look, I don't know why you think a duel's quite necessary at the moment. There's a dead guy and the guy who's probably the murderer over there. I say," Kazu looked down to think, noticed he was still holding the guy's cards and handed them back and continued, "We need to get the police or something. I'll be honest, I don't know whether or not our un-masked friend is or isn't related to this murder but that doesn't matter." Closing his eyes, Kazu starts to think. Someone could go and get the authorities while the other took (kidnapped) the probable bystander. Duel disks can't keep a duel on when the people our miles apart can they? Still with his eyes closed, Kazu tells the stranger his plan.

 

"Someone needs to go get the authorities. While whatever is the law here is on it's way, the other person takes our non-bloody duelist as far away from here as possible. I've got a place nearby either of us could go to. I just need answers to these three questions: What's your name? D'you have a phone? And finally, do you have a duel runner, if you don't I'll take our friend away. Obviously this'll only happen if you agree so what do you think?"

Aster took is card back and put it into his deck. "My name is Aster," He pulled his phone and diled a number, haveing a breef conversation with the man on the other line and hung up. "Athorites called, check." He put the phone into his pocket and looked at Kazu. "I have a runner but it's on the other side of town so right now your the only one who can get him out of here." Aster looked back around the corner one last time. "I'll stay here and keep the other guy here as long as I can until the cops arive."

"You sure you wanna stay? This guy doesn't exactly look like the guy who would enjoy being interrupted and what would you do? Duel him?" Kazu had started to become quite worried, specifically because Aster wanted to duel a man who had likely murdered someone. "Well, whatever you do it's down to you how it goes. Just keep in mind our freakish friend HAS murdered someone," Kazu pointed to the body, "and I doubt he'll take too kindly to losing. Anyway, I'll check with our current, un-masked duelist if he'd rather leave now or continue. Either way, here's where I'm at if you ever want to visit," Kazu scribbled his address on an old receipt he had in his pocket and handed it to Aster, "be seeing you Aster." Kazu headed towards, the two duelists and reached out with his right hand to gain the attention of the un-masked duelist. As he reached into the dark mist surround the two and let out a gasp. "What is this darkness?" He yelled, stepping back and looking at his hand. It seemed unharmed but the pain he had felt while reaching into the darkness had been very real. Turning to Aster, Kazu said, "I don't think this is going too well. That mist around the two of them, it's probably there to stop interruption." Sinking to the floor, Kazu raised his injured hand to his face, observing it more closely. "I hope the authorities get here quickly, or we at least grab that masked guy after this duel. It'll be hell if they get here and find us near a dead body." Pulling a pack of cigarettes from his breast pocket, he took a single cigarette from the packet, lit it and offered a cigarette to Aster. "Want one?"

"The Masked Man, well killed the person and I witnessed it."Neo replied as he turned around towards Aster and Kazu,"I suspect that this could be something to do with the Mystery Deaths, once I lose, or should I say if I lose, he will go after you, or should I have to say they will go after you....So be warned."

 

"My turn,"The Masked Man proclaimed as he drew a card and a slight grin appeared on his face,"I activate my Face Down Double Summon, this lets me have an extra Normal Summon, so I Summon Vampire Lady in Atk Mode (1550/1550), next I tribute her to Summon Vampire Lord in Atk Mode (2000/1500)....Now Vampire Lord attack Tunic Soldier,"The Masked Man ordered as Vampire Lord rushed in the wind and stabbed Tunic Soldier (Neo 7600 Life Points)."When Vampire Lord inflicts damage I get to select a Card Type and you get to send one from your Deck to the Grave.....So Monster !!!"

 

"Ok,"Neo understood as he skimmed through his deck and placed it in his Grave."So now I have 2 Tunic Monsters in my Graveyard."

 

"Who cares because my Ryu Kokki will attack you Directly,"The Masked Man declared as Ryu charged through the shadows and slashed Neo (Neo 5200 Life Points."Muhha !!!"

 

"My turn now,"Neo drew as he stared at his face down,"Now I Specil Summon Tunic Defender in Def Mode (0/800), next I set a Face Down Def Mode Monster, I sadly end."

 

"That's all."The Masked Man gasped with a grin,"All this, you're stalling your Defenses."

 

"Maybe, but you will be suprised soon."Neo admitted as he was still smiling, that made the man have a smug look.

Just then, in between the duo, something fell out of the sky and landed on the concrete.

The "something" appered to be a pink-haired robotic angel. She had a combination of porcelain skin plates, metallic pink armor that just barely covered her womanly sections, and black mechanical parts revealing her intricate joints.

She was also unconscious, or appeared to be.

"What... What the hell?" Kazu, dropping the cigarette he had offered Aster, stared at the immobile figure that lay in the middle of the two duelists. In the centre of the cracked floor was a manequin, at least that's what Kazu assumed it was. "Guys, we need to get this over and done with. There're others coming and this general scene is so odd that I wouldn't be surprised if we all got locked up, including our porcelain friend, just to simplify things."

"Hmmmm, I'll try but this duel is going to be long,"Neo admitted as he noticed The Masked Man angry as he notice them both hovering."What the,"

 

"This is going to be short and I've decided to do something interesting,"The Masked Man added as he drew,"I summon Regenerating Mummy in Atk Mode (1800/1500), next I remove Vampire Lord from play to Special Summon Vampire Genesis in Atk Mode (3000/2100),"He grinned as he stared at his 3 monsters then he pointed at the Defender."Now Regenerating Mummy attack Tunic Defender, while Ryu Kokki attacks the Mystery Monster."

 

"NO !!!"Neo shouted as his 2 monsters were devored by Ryu Kokki and Regenerating Mummy."Now im open,"

 

"Yes, now Vampire Genesis attack his Life Points."The Masked Man ordered as the Giant Caped Vampire charged through the smoke that appeared from the impacts from the last 2 battles,"Next turn will be over."The Man waited to see the results.

"Holy Crap!" Aster hurd sirens comming form the distant street waching the most intence moment in his life happen before him. This was all way to weard, and did she just fall from the sky! Then again since he could peer into the mind of anyone he wanted with just one look he considered this to be some what is an aquard day. He looked into the eye hole of the masked man but nothing happened. He looked over at Kauz as if he were open books but there was nothing useful to what was going on in his mind. Neo was covered in a smoke so he couldn't see anything. He tried to get a look at the person in the middle who fell out of the sky but once again nothing. "What the hell is going on?" Even if they were that far away he should be able to read the person across the alleys mind but nothing and again came the sirens. [Well wait till the duel is finished for the cops to get here].
