Champions of Duelist Kingdom (Started/ALWAYS Accepting!/ PG-13)

Zack was looking around Duelist Kingdom after Pegasus' boring speech, when he saw a duel already started. It was Yugi vs. Insector Haga, Japans best duelist. Yugi won, which surprised Zack. Haga had Yugi cornered! He then went to the plains to see that Yugi and Co. had went there to. ((OOC:I'm following the manga btw ;D)) He caught up to them. "Hey guys!" Zack called. "Hey, Joey, wanna duel? Like, for real?" Zack asked.

 

((OOC: Joey won't leave, I'm plan on losing.))

"Nyeh?" Joey said as he turned around to see a random kid challenging him to a duel. "Uh, ok kid. But I gotta warn ya, no one beats Joey Wheeler at Duel Monsters!" "Joey, you can't even beat ME." Tea said. "Well this time, it'll be different!" (OOC: I'm following the English anime!) Joey replied, as the dueling field rose behind him. Joey stood at the blue podium as Zack, the challenger, stood at the red end. "Okay, kid. Let's duel! I'll start, and I'll play Masaki, the Legendary Swordsman! Attack mode! (ATK: 1100) Your turn!"

[Shang Tsung]

"I summon Kenetic Soldier in attack mode! (ATK:1350) And now I use his special ability! When he battles a Warrior type monster, he gains 2000 ATK! (ATK:3350) Now attack with electric cannon!" ((OOC: There's no facedown cards on Joey's field, and since that would be a 1-hit KO in the manga, I'll go by anime for the duels.)) Kinetic Soldier fired electricity at Masaki, thus destroying it. Joey LP: 1750. ((So you don't have to calculate.)) "I set 2 cards face down and end my turn."

[M-Cube]

IC: "WHAT? I'm already losing? Okay? Now what do I do? What's this? Oh, ok! Now I summon my newest card, Red Eyes Black Dragon! Attack! (Zack's LP: 2950) Plus, I'll put down a card face-down! Now what?"

[Recteik Shade]

Recteik was taken aback by the environmental deversity of this island. It almost seemed built to order for this tournament. As he wonder here and there he was challenged by several duelists. He brushed off every one. "I have someone specific to find." no matter where he looked he couldn't find Raptor. As he wondered he came acrossed some kids dueling and 1 had a Red Eyes. Raptor was the only one with a Red Eyes on this Island! "Hey you, the chump with the blonde hair! Where did you get that Dragon?!"

[M-Cube]

Joey turned his head to see another spectator. "This dragon?" Joey said. "Well I just won it from some chump named Raptor. Why do ya wanna know?" He said, staring at this new guy. "If ya have any more questions, you're gonna have to wait. I'm dueling a kid who shows no mercy. I got my only star chip on the line here!"

[Recteik Shade]

"You beat Raptor?!" Recteik couldn't beleive it. He had missed his chance to throttle Raptor! After a few moments he turned and walked away. "If He beat Raptor he was someone to watch." as he walked away he said with his back to the guy,"I'll talk to you later. Dont lose!"

[Pieanator]

Joe exited the cave. "It's been a couple hours, but I've yet to see a duelist. Maybe hiding in a pitch black cave wasn't such a bright idea." Joe decided to go through the plains, maybe he could find some weaklings there. Maybe even Yugi. He went there and saw that Field 122 - the only field in the area - was being heavily populated. There had to be at least 30 people watching. Joe looked to the left. The kid there had no monsters defending himself. He then glanced to the right. "What't this?" He was heavily shocked! The guy with a mop of blonde hair seemed to have just started dueling yesterday, yet he had a Red-Eyes Black Dragon! He walked over to the scene. "C'mon, Joey! You can do this!" Someone yelled. Joe glanced over in that direction. Some short kid with spikey hair was cheering on the Red-Eyes kid. "Hmf." He then looked at the short kid again. He looked familiar, but.........That's Yugi Moto! Joe said. "I'll wait till the duel's over. Then I'll grab the runt and kick the crud outta him. But for now, I'll relax and watch the duel."

[Recteik Shade]

Recteik saw the look on the guys face he was zeroed in on Blondey's kid freind. The man had the look of a starved wolf. He was muttering to himself about grabbing the kid. Recteik may be a sore loser but there was a differance between duelist and Hostages. This guy planed on kidnapping this little kid. Recteik walked up to him,"Duel me."

[Pieanator]

Joe was just standing there minding his own business. Suddenly, some kid in the crowd walked up to him and said "Duel me." Joe couldn't help but laugh. "YOU think you can beat ME? Heh. It would take me 20 seconds for me to wipe the floor with you, runt." The kid still stood there. "You don't understand, kid. I got some important businees to take care of, so why don't you run along?" The kid stood there still, and Joe knew he wasn't gonna move until he got a duel. "Fine. I'll duel you," Joe said. "But on my turf. The Graveyard field." Joe led the kid to the cave he was at earlier. Joe stood at one end of the field while the challenger was at another. Excellent. Joe thought when he saw his hand. "I'll start by playing a card in defense mode, and I'll set a card face-down. You're turn now, kid."

[Shang Tsung]

"Well, thanks for destroying him, Joey! It activates my Dimensional Prison and my Time Machine! Dimensional Prison removes Red Eye's from play, and Time Machine brings Kinetic Soldier back! And now he attacks! Electric Cannon!" Kinetic Solider fired his lazar, er, electric currents. Joey LP: 400. "I play Solidarity! As long there's a monster in the graveyard, my monsters gain 800 ATK! (KS ATK:2150) I set a card and end my turn!"

[M-Cube]

Bandit Keith was on the island, even though he wasn't supposed to be. As the American Dueling Champion, he had quite a bit of a reputation. But most of it was lost against a match with Pegasus. Keith was sure he cheated, but had no idea how. Pegasus knew exactly what Keith was going to play! It was like he could read minds. But now, Keith wanted revenge. He just beat up a kid and took his dueling glove and star chips, so now he fit right in. Keith was now walking along when he reached the plains. He saw a heated duel going on, many spectators. One guy had a Red-Eyes, and Keith couldn't believe it. He made a mental note to get that guy's card later on. He also saw a couple guys walk away from the crowd, So he decided to follow them. Something interesting could come up.

"Oh, Jeez..." said Joey. "Now what? Huh?" He noticed a card in his hand that might save him. "I summon," Joey said. "Time Wizard! And now I activate this little guy's special ability! Watch his time roulette carefully, and if it lands on a time warp, you lose LP equal to half of all ya monster's ATK points! GO!" Everyone watched carefully as the little arrow spun around and around. "Come on, Joey..." Yugi whispered. Slowly, the spinner stopped on.........the time machine! His opponent's monster faded to dust as he lost 675 LP (LP: 1875) "Plus," said Joey. "I play monster reborn, bringing back Red Eyes! Beat that!"

As Zack drew his next card, he got disappointed. "I guess I have no choice. I activate Obligatory Attack! Your monsters automatically attack me!" Zack LP: 0. "Good game, Joey! Here's your star chip! A pity that card wasn't used in the combo I wanted... oh well! See ya!" Zack left and heard "Kuri! Kuri!" "Had no choice, Kuriboh!"

[Recteik Shade]

Recteik was undaunted by his opponents scare tactic,"I'll wager one Star Chip." He drew his hand. "First I'll set three cards face down. Next I Summon Swiftersaurus!" ATK:800 "However He won't be around for long. I activate the Spell, Sudden Evolution, it lets me take a level 2 or lower Dinosaur and send it to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 level 6 or lower Dinosaur from my Deck. however it can't attack. I call out Vegasaurus!" ATK:2300 "When Vegasaurus is Special Summoned I can add all the cards in my hand to my Deck and draw 3 cards. I end..."

"Hey, wait kid!" Joey screamed. The kid turned around. "Why don't ya stick along? Another member of the Joey Wheeler fan club!" "'Joey Wheeler fan club?'" Tristan said. "I wouldn't even join that club if you payed me." "Well, who asked YOU?!" screamed Joey. "So whaddya say kid? Wanna stick along?"

Keith walked in to see a Graveyard Field, and the Duel already started. One kid had a face down card and monster in defense mode, and the other one had a dinosaur with 2300 ATK. Well, the duel just started, and already it's interesting! Keith thought. What's next?

[Shang Tsung]

Zack laughed. "Fan club? Joey, that win went straight to your head! You know, if I had drawn 1 certain card, I would of won." "Kuri!" "Besides, the tournament just started!" Zack walked away. "Kuri!" "Hm? Where ya goin'?" Change of Kuriboh flew over to some cave. Zack looked into the cave to see a duel. Why'd Kuriboh lead me here? Might as well watch.

[M-Cube]

"Hey, we'll come with you!" said Yugi. They all ran over to that one cave, where they could hear a duel coming from the inside. "A duel!" Bakura said. "Let's go check it out!" Joey yelped. Together, Zack, Yugi, Joey and the rest all ran in, where they met Bandit Keith already watching. "Well!" he said "If it isn't Yugi Moto! You beat Seto Kaiba didn't you?" Yugi was just about to respond when Keith said, "Well enough small talk! Let's see what happens next!"

Joe heard the commotion that was going on behind the kid, and decided to take a peek, gasping in surprise. It's Yugi! he thought. He walked right in here! What luck! As soon as this pathetic wimp is defeated, I'll duel Yugi! "Now it's my turn!" Joe drew his card and looked at it. "I activate Mystcal Space Typhoon, and I destroy one of the face-down cards you just played. And I Summon, Exodia's Apprentice! I draw three cards and remove them from play. If they are Exodia cards, they stay in my hand, and I draw an extra one! The total ATK of all the monsters becomes the ATK of my monster." He looked at the cards he just drew. Excellent! he thought. I just need 2 more necessary cards. "I have a total of 2700 ATK, due to Feral Imp and Obnoxious Celtic Guard! Exodia's Apprentice, destroy his monster!"

[M-Cube]

"Wow," Tristan said. "That guy lost quite a few Life Points! (Joe's LP: 4000, Recteik's LP: 3600) Plus, that guy's monster has 2700 ATK points." "That's a pretty strong monster!" Joey mumbled. "Do you think he has a chance?" Tea said. "Don't count him out yet," said Bakura. "Yeah, Bakura's right!" Yugi said. "This next card could be the exact one he needs to pull ahead!" "But," Keith said pessimistically, "What are the odds of that?"

"Ahh Exodia!" Recteik didn't realize he was dueling such a fool. When his face down blew up he set it in the graveyard without a word. As the monster lunged at Vegasaurus he couldn't help but laugh,"Trigger Trap! I activate Denided. With this your attack is canceled and you take damage equal to half the ATK of your monster!" 2700/2=1350. "Since you cant do much more, I guess its my turn?" He said nothing simply nodded. "Kool, Draw!" He shuffled throught the cards in his hand for a moment," Well I never thought I'd ever pull this combo but here goes. First I activate Mega Roar. I tribute a Dino to destroy your face donw spell or trap." Suddenly Vegasaurus began to glow and let loose a savage roar the blew up the face down. Then Vegasaurus faded into nothing and was destroyed. "Next I play the Spell Straight Shot! It only works when I have no Monsters. I pay 1500 Life Pionts and can destroy both your monsters."

 

Recteik closed his eyes and grinned wide,"I've never used this card before. I activate Suicide Run! It lets me romove from play every card in my deck!" He picked up his whole deck and moved it to the removed pile. "And that lets me take cards from my Extra Deck and add them to the Graveyard." He carfully picked six cards and put them in his Grave. " Now I know what your thinking it was a waste of a move. I just killed myself right?" He asked mockingly. Several people in the croud nodded. "But I still have 1 card left and its the key to all of this. I actvate the Trap, Perfection Formation! It requires that I pay all but 100 Life Points. I then alows me to remove 6 specific cards in my grave to Special Summon this!" He then remove the 6 cards he pulled from his extra deck. Suddenly a huge dragon appeared on the feild. The croud gasped. "Ladies and gentalmen let me introduce Perfection Dragon Alpha!" ATK: 8200 "Alpha gains ATK of every card removed. And I have 41 cards removed. Your feilds clear the path is opened! Perfection Dragon Alpha! Direct Attack!

Joe grumbled. "Fine..." he said, deflated. "You win one of my Star Chips,but I still have the other one! And with it, I challenge Yugi Moto to a duel!" Laughing maniaclly, he stood on the red podium, yelling, "GET UP HERE, MOTO! HaHaHa! WHAT ARE YA, SCARED?!" Joe was totally mental at this point. This was only his second defeat in his whole career. He wasn't like

this after his first defeat with Seto Kaiba. Actually, he expected to lose, because the guy was totally unstoppable. However, this defeat was against a rookie. A nobody. This kid's only reputation came from his hometown, which ironically, wasn't that big. But now, he was going REALLY crazy. "GET UP HERE NOW, MOTO! I MEAN IT! NOW!!"

[M-Cube]

Yugi stepped up to the dueling field, as his Millenium Puzzle took action, turning him into his alter ego. "Yugi, maybe this isn't such a good idea." Tea stammered. "No, Tea, I can do this." Yugi assured her. "But Yugi!" Joey yelled, "The guy is totally nuts!! Are you sure you wanna go through with this, pal?" Yugi turned around at smiled at them. "I'm sure." he said quietly. "I begin! And my first card is in face down defense position! I also place this card face down! It's your move!" "Wow, guys..." Tristan said. "He's starting on the Defensive!" "I know." Bakura said. "Maybe he has a plan, though....." I hope so. Tea thought

Recteik stepped down and the kid took his place. As they passed each other He said to the kid,"Careful, he's gunning for you for some reason kid." He walked over and jioned the croud. Many swarmed him and begged him to show them his Perfection Dragons. He ignored them and focused on the Duel. The kid Yugi was making his move. "Hmmm, Yugi I don't think being defencive is a good idea. He uses Exoida!" Recteik figured if he wasn't dueling the kid a little advise wouldn't hurt.

[Shang Tsung]

"I got a bad fellin' bout this..." "Kuri!" "This is why you came, Kuriboh?! To watch Yugi and some guy duel?!" "KURI Kuri." "Wha? Yugi's a..." Shadow Duelist? Along with Pegasus too? And me? Zack tried to understand this, but failed. Zack looked at Yugi's necklace thing. "Kuri Kuri KURI!" "It's an Egyptian artifact?" "Kuri!" "Kuriboh, there's a lot of Pharaohs. Did Moses see it?" "Kuri!" "...Duh."

[Pieanator]

"HEY, YOU!!" Joe yelled. "THE KID WHO JUST BEAT ME!! DON'T GIVE HIM ANY MORE HELP, OR YOU'LL REGRET IT!!" Joe was at his boiling point, but he quickly calmed down and drew his first cards. He had a slight grin on his face. "I activate Swords of Revealing Light!" Joe screeched. "And Summon Fiend Roar God Rulie! (LIGHT/Fiend - Effect/1/200/400)" This Yugi kid, Joe thought, Has absolutely NO IDEA what he's up against. He looked at the cards in his hands. No idea. "With that move I will end my turn!" Joe gripped the item in his pocket in his jacket. This little object right here, Joe thought, will change the WHOLE COURSE of this duel!
