Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

Proud to be the only game that actually forces the Gamecube equivalent of the BSoD, this game is hella scary. Basically, you're this chick who is investigating the murder (by decapitation) of her grandfather in his mansion. You find a book bound in human skin and sealed with shrunken bones that details the events of people past who were involved with the book (although the first two were inderectly). As you advance, your sanity slowly slips away causing "Sanity Effects" which range from Controller issues, to BSoD, to noises in the background. It is the perfect game to play alone in the dark.

I remember that game. Pretty freaky, but not Nightmare Fuel, surprisingly. The runes were cool, though.
