Umbra
Stephen King, man. I have yet to be disappointed by anything he has written. If you don't mind a long read, I would recommend It.
Plateau
I don't know if you like High Fantasy but I really like the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Check out The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion for some really ace stuff. You can also read some Warcraft novels and understand the franchise, pretty good as well. If you wish to continue in high fantasy, try learning about Ursula Le Guin's works: pretty neat. I heard the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan is pretty good as well. Â Now if you dislike high fantasy, unfortunately for you, you can read works like Dan Brown's series of awesome books: Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol. He also has some other good books. Now don't shoot me, but The Host is a good book by Stephenie Meyer. Her Twilight series is OK to read, terrible to watch. Just try to read The Host. By far her best story in my opinion. Â I read a lot of stuff so I'm not going to start writing off my recommended list for you (or my wishlist). If you want to talk about books anytime though, don't mind sending me a personal message. ;)

Just try to read The Host. By far her best story in my opinion. [/quote'] I found The Host quite boring after the main character spends a few chapters curled up in a small cave with no end in sight, complaining about how attractive her captor is. That might just be me, though. There was nothing wrong with the setting, it just wasn't handled that well.

Kiyo
The individual books are short (though the series as a whole is pretty big), but the Deltora series is probably my favourite fantasy series. The riddles and plot twists are good fun to read even now.
DARKPLANT RISING
Pleas answaa kwestion. I'm 15. ...oh, so you have no homework because you graduated! I see... lucky you... If you're 15, then you should be able to read Bartimaeus. I read it at 12, a few weeks ago. Cried at the end a bit... *sob sob*And Demonata is also easy enough. I was thinking you were 7 or something, and the school was easy on you. But if it is so, I can say both books I said above are great. Guest Merciful Idiot
Have you tried Artemis Fowl? There's also House Of The Scorpion. Also, the movie of Twilight and New Moon makes the books look bad. Don't trust the movie, the book is much better than the movie, trust me.
Felix
His Dark Materials trilogy, by Philip Pullman. Naughts and Crosses is also good, by Sadia Khatri.
Blamonchesix
It depends on what genre you're after Here's my recommendation - Sidney Sheldon: The Other Side of Midnight
-Athena-
Thanks for all of the suggestions you guys. I'm currently checking (not literally) the books out and seeing which ones are good. But keep on telling me which books you think are good. I finished the book called "The Red Pyramid" last week and I loved that book. That might help you guys find which types of books I like. P.S-And I do love books about creature, fantasy and magic. --Athena--
rhstanley3
hmmm.... fantasy.... have you read the inkheart, inkdeath, and i forget the second one. The first book was extreamly boring in my opinion, but completely sets up the second book in the series, which was much much better. I have yet to read inkdeath. The story is based around a man and his daughter. the man repairs books for a living and has taught his daughter to love books. What she doesn't know is that when he reads aloud, he can turn the characters in the book into real people in his world. The price is that something living has to replace whatever came into our world. It makes a very very great read, and it is definitely a great fantasy book. Guest Merciful Idiot
You might like Artemis Fowl. It has magic. And technology. And fairies. With highly-advanced technology AND magic.
~Umbreon~
If you haven't read it, try the Hunger Games Trilogy! The first two books are out and the third comes out in late August. Anyway, it's about a country living in the ruins of North America. This country is Panem. Panem has one shining capitol and twelve outlying districts. During the war, the capital took control (not in the book but mentioned). And to remind the districts that they are powerful, every year, one male and one female (from the ages 12-18 are sent to the capitol to fight for their life. This battle is on live TV. When one contestant is left alive, the capitol comes to their rescue and heals them back to health. The arena is changed every year. Winning means fame and fortune, losing means certain death... This year is the 74th games, Katniss Everdeen, a sixteen year old girl, lives in district 12, the most ridiculed district. They provide the country with coal. Every district does something that may help the citizens in the Hunger Games... District Twelve doesn't really get any advantages. Katniss illegally poaches on the Capitol's land, but nobody cares, even the Peacekeepers buy from her! Katniss's little sister (Primrose) had turned twelve, and is now to be entered in the random drawing. On the day of the drawing, the female comes first. It isn't Katniss... It's Primrose Everdeen... Katniss then offers to go in her sisters place in the fight for her life. When the boy is picked. It's a childhood acquaintance, Peeta Mellark. Peeta worked in a bakery after Katniss's father had passed. Katniss had to provide for her mother and sister. She had went out to find food... Luckily Peeta came to the rescue. Peeta had provided the family with a loaf of bread.
