800 Character Count?

Recommended Posts

[align=center]While editing my signature I keep receiving the "You have reached the 800 character limit" message and so I was thinking it would be nice if there was a way I could see how many characters I have left to put in my signature before this shows up so it doesn't get in much of a shock when the message appears.

So what I'm suggesting is to have a character count in the sig editing page so you can tell how many characters you can fit in it so you can plan what to put in your signatures more effectively.

They do this on Youtube when you post a comment so is it possible to do the same for the signatures?

Generalistically if you are going to exceed the 800 character limit, you're having to place things in spoilers already. In which case, you're sig is already too large.

No Support.

Its possible to put it in a sig with a bit of coding. Also' date=' I support

And increase the stress on the servers? Nty.

@Icy: The stress would be so small' date=' if noticeable at all. I don't really see the logic in not wanting this, as if YCMaker would actually do it, it would save some time for people and their signatures.

I'm thinking coding like HTML, which loads the items directly onto the server (at least to my knowledge). YCMaker has it enabled on the Announcements however, but that is due to it rarely being used for such things.

True. Also, I may be supporting this, but do I think it will happen...? No.
