Pokemon: The Isshu Region (IC Thread/ started/ accepting on ooc thread)

Eko was polishing his 5 gym badges when he heard the new about Hiun city. He picked up his phone and dialed Valerie's number. He heard a click that meant she picked up He thought what to say. " Valerie this is Eko Tunde of Furrity Town. If yo want you can bring a group of citizens and trainers to my town and we can joint gym if you want." Eko said into the phone. then he hung up. He walked to the back of his gym and pressed a button some of the floors opened up to reveal a pool. He let his pokemon out and he walked to his station expecting a swarm of trainers. He activated the ferry out by the dock of the Island to send a ferry to Hiun city.

As James was watching the battle when suddenly his phone rang once again,"Hello...Yes that's good...Oh not so good........"as that came across James mind he decided to hang up."Luna, Rai, theres some good new and some bad news."James answered,"The good news, the 5th and 1st Gym Leaders have returned...The bad news, Huin City is invaded by Team Rocket, im going in by super private jet, that will take me 1 Hour and it's on the news, so goodbye for now,"James exclaimed as he ran onto the jet and before he left he threw his pokeball,"GO MAGNEZONE !!!"James shouted,"Magnezone check infront to see if Huin City is safe, therefore, you will have to use your own moves for now...Understood."

 

"ZZZ !!!"Magnezone buzzed as he sped through the air towards Huin City like a rocket.

Meanwhile, more Team Rocket forces were invading Hiun, taking control of the bridge leading out of the port city and the entrances into the desert, as well as initiating a naval blockade around the port with their submersible battleships. No one was allowed inside the city, or out.

The Grunt that was yelling at Leonard suddenly received a call, and talked to someone on the phone for a minute before returning to hear a Grunt scream in pain, who then released Amy. But Amy and Leonard were then pushed up against the wall, and Eevee was netted by another Grunt.

"Well, it turns out we had a bit of a misunderstanding." The lead Grunt told the two kids. "It turns out our spies misheard you, and thought you WERE the Gym Leader around here. We have started to make arrangements to secure Valerie, the actual Gym Leader, so we apologize for the mistake. However, we're still taking you with us!"

The Grunts shoved Amy and Leonard into the van after they were tied up, and threw Eevee in as well, then locked the doors. The van started to move, and headed deeper into the city.

Other Grunts started to surround the Gym, and a tactical squad entered the Gym, looking for Valerie.

Eevee squeaked and crawled over to Amy, whining pitifully and nuzzling against the girl. Amy hissed under her breath. Curse her rotten luck! She had to go to the city in Isshu that was about to be invaded by thugs. Why the hell was she getting mixed into this? She was just a traveler, in no way associated with the Gym Leader, yet for some reason she and her Pokemon was being thrown into a van and tied up.

 

"It's okay, Eevee," Amy assured the anxious Pokemon, even though she herself was not sure that it would be.

Luna was almost deaf from Big Buzz. She wasn't really expecting it. She did hear something about team rocket, though. That was bad news.

She had no idea how to deal with scizor. There was no moves effective against it really well. It was like Kai planned this out, and knowing Kai, he probably did. Two could play at that game, though.

"Claydol! Use power trick!" Claydol's body began to glow as its power and defence were switched. She covered her ears for another Big Buzz.

Leonard looked over at the poke-Balls at the side of his belt. "I have an idea," he said. "But I'll need to borrow Eevee." He was trying to think how well this would work. "Ok, I need you to have Eevee use it's nose to open Charmander's Poke-Ball. He will then be able to cut us loose, and set the truck on fire, while we jump through a hole burned in the back of the truck. It'll be tricky, but it just might work. What do you say? You wanna get out, or sit here, and possibly end up in a cell the rest of your life?" Leonard put a small smile on his face.

The Grunt in the passenger seat turned her head back to the captured Trainers, smiling happily, but not in an evil way. "Oh, don't worry. We're not taking you to a prison. We're simply gathering everyone and herding them to the internment camps that we are setting up in the various parks and squares in the city. That's all. Also, could I please confiscate your Pokeballs? We forgot to when your Eevee bit us, but both of you are allowed one Pokemon each that you can carry for comfort. Your Eevee is acceptable because you can carry it in your arms. Do you have a Pokemon that you can carry with you without a Pokeball?" The grunt asked nicely.

"Eevee's the only one I have," Amy muttered, trying to find some way to communicate to Eevee what Leonard's plan was, without tipping off the grunts in the van. Unfortunately, the small quadruped was too unnerved to do anything but cower against Amy's leg. "Come on, Eevee," Amy pleaded in a whisper, pointing a finger towards Leonard. She didn't like the sound of an "internment camp". But the anxious Eevee refused to move.

Sorry I haven't posted, but I was waiting for a post on the other thread and then I saw this just now...

 

Ever since the gym leaders went on vacation, Brian has been completely swamped with gym challenges. Very rare is it that his pokemon get knocked out, but they were so tired that he had to close the gym for a few days to recover and train. Over the next few days, the stress of being the only opened gyms was going away. Brian and his pokemon were becoming in sync once again. Samsara City was the kind of place where it wasn't huge, and everybody knows everybody. It wasn't until the day of their return that Brian had heard about what was happening in Hiun City.

Leonard was worried about this "Internet Camp." To stall for time, he decided he would ask for some questions. "So, what is this 'Internet Camp' thing anyway. We're not going to be slaves working on computers the rest of our lives, are we?" He hoped this even bit of stalling would give Eevee enough time to think about the place they were going. Then, he got an idea. It would be crazy, and he would be seriously punished for it, but it would work. "Hello, Officer?" he said, cunningly. "Yeah, me and this girl are being taken to a camp by Team Rocket. Sorry, I don't know the liscence plate. Ok, we're on Route 302, heading away from Hiun City. Thanks. Bye." his plan was to startle the driver and make him slow a bit.

"Silly Leonard!" The cheery Rocket Grunt chided. "It's an 'Internment Camp', not an 'Internet Camp'! We're basically going to keep you all there until we can get the re-education centers online! Then, you can become a productive member of Team Rocket and help us achieve our goals of world domination! And we're already in the city, and we're almost to Camp 5, where you two will be staying! I hope you have fun!"

Amy rolled her eyes. "You knew that wasn't going to work, right?" she asked. She prodded Eevee, which flinched and looked up at her anxiously. No matter what happened, Amy was not going to let go of her only Pokemon. And she didn't trust that the Rockets would let them just keep one Pokemon for company or whatever. That could easily turn into a rebellion and they should know that. Desperate times, desperate measures. She was not about to lose Eevee.

 

"Re-education centers?" Amy repeated, giving the grunt a puzzled look. "How does that even work? Can't people like...just fill out a job application to join and skip the long, long wait until the re-education?"

"Oh, no!" The cheery Grunt replied. "The re-education centers are where they turn ordinary people like you into productive members of Team Rocket, like me! First, we do a background check with a lie detector to find your perfect niche within the organization. Next, we take DNA samples for medical records and cloning purposes. Then, we hook you up to our re-education machine and condition your mind into being the perfect minion! Sometimes, if you have been a nuisance to Team Rocket, they will also give you a personality adjustment! I used to be a heartless b***h that killed 437 members of Team Rocket, until I was finally captured and given the chance to rectify the horrible things I did, and look at me now! I'm happier than I ever was before Team Rocket...slaughtered...my family...and...destroyed EVERYTHING I LOVED!!!!"

The formerly happy Grunt suddenly snapped the neck of the driver and took the wheel, disposing of the dead body and turning the van around. The Grunt turned her head back to reveal a psychotic look in her eyes and a malicious grin on her face.

"You have no idea how good that felt!" She told the Trainers as she started laughing maniacally. "And I can't wait to get to a hair salon and change my hair back to bubblegum pink instead of this horrid red-orange! And this suit! God, black is SO not the new black!"

She swerved out of the way of a tank and put her goody-two-shoes face back on to seem like she was under the control of Team Rocket, but went back to her "normal" appearance once they were out of sight. "The name's Ingwe. Ingwe Qasaam, formerly of Erika's Angels, the Celadon City Resistance Movement, before they brainwashed Oka, turned her into a sleeper agent, and flushed us out. I have no idea where Erika went, but Celadon was reconverted into a major Rocket base, which they used to attack Saffron. That's the last I heard of what's happening in Kanto. Now, any bright ideas of how we're gonna get out of this city?"

Amy was not having a good day. Whatever hope she had been banking on before was completely eradicated from her mind when the Rocket went completely insane. She couldn't decide what was worse: Snapping the neck of the driver, the swerving, the fact she acted like she had multiple screws loose, the fact Eevee had, in her terror, leapt onto her lap and dug her claws into her leg, or the fact she had no clue what the hell was going on.

 

"Not a clue," she moaned, trying to extract Eevee's claws from her lap.

Ingwe shook her head. "I'm sorry back there, but I just snapped when I remembered everything that I was fighting for back in Celadon. I used to work in the Gym there, as one of Erika's Trainers, a Beauty with pixie-cut bubblegum-colored hair and a contest-winning Sunflora that was raised from a cute little Sunkern. I had a boyfriend that worked for Bugsy in Azalea. We had matching Parasects that got confused for each other. That's how we met. I haven't heard from him since the war broke out. I apologize if I'm just prattling, but I need to in order to still stay me, and not that vapid bubbly imbecile they reprogrammed me into. Now, I will try to find a place for us to pull over and get you three untied. That sound alright?"

Brian used his luxaries as a gym leader and took a helicoptor to Huin City to help out. During the entire ride, Brian was uneasy. There was something about the two pilots that made Brian uneasy. When they were about an hour away, the pilots put the helicoptor on auto-pilot and stood up with smiles on their faces. They each grabbed for pokeballs on their belts.

"You know, for a gym leader, you're not very smart," said one of the pilots.

Both of them opened the door and tossed the pilot uniforms. They were now wearing Team Rocket uniforms. Next they tossed pokeballs into the air releasing two Golbats. Brian held up a pokeball and tossed it up. Out came the grass and ice pokemon, Abomasnow.

"And for two Team Rocket grunts, you're very stupid," said Brian.

"You have no idea who you're messing with kid," said the second grunt. "Golbat, use Air Cutter. You see, I know you use grass pokemon and I know that flying type moves are good against grass."

"Did you figure that out on your own or did somebody help you," Brian replied. "Abomasnow, there isn't much time, use Ice Shard on both of them."

The ice type pokemon raised its arms and shot pilars of ice in both directions knocking both pokemon down onto the ground. Then Abomasnow lifted both grunts and threw them out as well.

"Next stop, Hiun City," said Brian. "Return Abomasnow. Let's see if any of my gym leader buddies can be reached."

"Sounds fine, it's okay," Amy replied, feeling her head spinning with fear and confusion. This whole situation was nightmarish and Eevee clearly agreed as she still adamantly kept her claws digging into Amy's leg. She understood that this woman was evidently a reluctant Rocket, but most of the things she said were just plain alarming. Something about brainwashing and killing and...this was so not the type of world she had envisioned when she was younger. She had never before seen someone get their neck snapped...it was horrifying.

On the radio in every single helicopter, boat and plane headed for Hiun, the same transmission started to broadcast.

"Hello. This is Desna Adats, leader of Team Rocket. As you have heard, Hiun City is now under our control. Anyone who approaches the boundary we have set up around the city will be fired upon. I don't want to fire upon you all. Please, for your own safety, turn around, head back to whatever airport or harbor you came from, and live to fight another day, when you can fight us on much more common ground with much better odds in your favor."

"I may be the leader of the forces that have your people, and one of your greatest cities, as my hostages, but unlike my subordinates, I know all too well the true value of human and Pokemon lives. I do not want any of you to die in vain because you had loved ones in Hiun, or because you used to live there, or any of the myriad reasons you want to come in, but you cannot. I beseech you to leave, because this city will soon be something you won't recognize as Hiun City. Thank you."

" Scizor stop your attack " Scizor stoped his bug buzz, and glared at Luna. " Luna somethings not right,imsorry but we have to call off this fight for now" Kai move next to his scizor,and rest his arms on scizors shoulder. " I am not sure whats going on , but james left in a hurry and that look he had on his face really concerns me im gooing to head into town are you coming kiddo? "

"Oh I am definitely coming. It's not like another ten year old is going to waltz right in and cream every single Team Rocket member." Luna dashed inside the building and healed her pokemon. Then taking the one that was already in her palm, she tossed it into the air, "Go! Togekiss! Fly to Huin City!" Why take a jet when you could take a Pokemon?

 

Turning to Kai before she hopped on, Luna said, "I'll take this as a rescheduele due to extreme conditions, Kai. That was the best battle I've had in a while."

After hearing that radio tramsmission I was all fired up. A smile even came upon my face. This was going to be a "blast". Brian opened a pokeball and the pokemon reached the ground. Then Brian got on top of the helicoptor while waiting for his plan to fall into motion. Barracades of tanks rose up to defend the newly taken territory. They were so concentrated on Brian that they didn't see what was about to hit them. Just as the tanks were about to fire, they were flipped on their sides, firing at each other. The grunts looked onward to see Torterra, the giant turtle pokemon. He used Frenzy Plant to flip the tanks and defend his trainer.

"Torterra, we don't have time for this," said Brian. "Sweep this garbage away with Leaf Storm."

The pokemon roared and leaves began circling the area. Within seconds a twister began to form, lifting everything in the area out of the way. Brian climbed on Torterra's back and they began the march throughout the city. That's when Brian decided to try Valerie on her cell phone to find a meeting place.

As the first wave of planes, helicopters, boats, and flying Pokemon started to approach the boundary, pot shots were sent at anyone who started to get near. Most turned back, but a few did press on. Those were subsequently fired at, and anyone who did try to defy Team Rocket's blockade was killed. Pretty much every single person in the second wave and beyond, which consisted of the people who had decided to go to Hiun City when they heard of the attack, saw this, and almost all of them started to turn around. To add to the security, several Isshu fighter aircraft urged planes and helicopters to turn around as well. The Isshu military declared Hiun a military zone, with only authorized persons allowed through the barrier.

Team Rocket had made it clear that they not only meant business, but that no one was getting in or out of the city alive.

 

A pistol then dug into the side of Brian's head. "Put the cell phone away, slowly, and call back your Pokemon. I have no idea how you got past our battleships, but you won't be getting in touch with anyone now!" The Grunt grabbed the cell phone and smashed it.

Kai smiled back at Luna " Same here, give me one sec " Kai ran with great speed back inside to swap his pokemon, a minute later he came back outside. Kai grabed a pokeball and released a pokemon. " Go Aerodactyl" Kai patted Aerodactyl , and then hoped onto his back " Ok Luna off to Huin city then, soar Aerodactyl " Aerodactyl took off following behind Luna and Togekiss.

Brian looked around fast, after over hearing that some grunts had thought he spotted Valerie. Brian was in the area and found her out cold. He put her on Torterra's back and they were out before Team Rocket could get back up. Brian and Torterra ran over to the helicopter and took off for Samsura City. Even though he came to defend the region, he realized that there were other things that had to be done... plus Team Rocket has really dangerous weapons.

Ingwe saw the devastation, destruction, and death, and then witnessed some sort of guy with a Torterra land, then go into an alleyway. She dismissed the idiot as someone with a very short remaining lifespan, then proceeded to untie Leonard and Amy. "Alright, here's the plan. Before we picked you up, Team Rocket was planning on starting patrols of the sewer system. You can use that to escape the city, and get out of here before it's too late. Sound good?"
