Pokemon: The Isshu Region (IC Thread/ started/ accepting on ooc thread)

James decided to end his Holiday after that short time and return to the others, he arrived on Private Jet and looked around. Eventully, he saw Kai and Luna talking about an battle,"Hello I've returned from my extremly short Holiday, after I discovered why we've all had a slow day...Most of the Gym Leaders have moved away from Isshu Region, the only Gym with a Leader is the 3rd, so we have a lot of waiting to do."

When the ferry reached port, Edward got off and headed for the nearest pokemart. As he went in, he noticed a newspaper with a article about a huge robbery in the Kanto Region. He smiled and went to the food section to buy some snacks for his Squirtle. As he went to the counter to buy the stuff he needed, he heard a commotion outside of the store. There was a overweight woman screaming about a missing necklace. Edward smiled as he payed the cashier. As he left the store, he went down the road and out of town. Now, it's for the start of his journey.

Kai turns around to see James " Oh hey James i dident even relize you left, i was just about to battle Luna here" Kai pauses to hear what James has to say, as james talks about the regions gym leaders kai shakes his head " The gym leaders all have it to easy these day, who do they think they are to just get up and leave their gym they have a job to do....." Kai freezes up for a bit as he relizes that he was about to do the same thing the gym leaders was doing.

"Hi, James." Luna said before facing Kai again, "I don't really care what the rules are, just nothing comepletely unfair." She withdrew the pokemon she had brought out before talking to Kai, and selected one. It wasn't much of a decision. She always led with this pokemon.

 

"So, James, you said that the third gym leader is the only one not on holiday? It's like they're out to get us."

Kai nods to Luna " Ok then how about a three on three match, we dont need to have long drawn out battle, besides i still havent done any training with my pokemon today, and i dont need them to be all worn out from facing you" Kai takes a few steps back, he cracks his neck and knuckles " ok lets do this" Kai takes the pokeball he was holding and throws it onto the grassy field. " Go Rampardos " the pokeball opens and reveals a rampardos, but something seemed off, the rampardos seemed very angry, Kai's rampardos let out a loud roar as he stamped his foot on the ground like a wild bull ready to charge.

Rampardos - Ramparrrrrrrrrrr!

" Easy, easy boy, calm down" the rampardos seemed to settle down a bit "sorry about that out burst rampardos here is a strong competitor, but he has a very bad temper thats why i never used him in an official match, because he would let his rage get the best of him and cloud his judgement"

The pokeball was practically flying of of Luna's hand. She really needed this battle. "Go Ditto!" Luna screamed, as the ball sent forth the small pink blob that she knew so well. It looked at the rampardos sharply, and the battlefield was comepletely silent for what could have lasted forever. Then Luna broke the silence. "Transform..."

 

It had begun.

(( ooc- ok so kai's Rampardos has Hyperbeam, irontail,headsmash, and zen headbutt i just tought i would let you know seeing how you have a ditto and all ))

 

Rampardos got angry to see a next Rampardos stand before him. " Ah Ditto i should have expected that coming from you Luna, many trainers freeze up and falls under pressure when facing your Ditto, but not us no matter how much he looks like Rampardos it can never compare to the realthing! Go Rampardos and use Zen Headbutt"

 

Rampardos - Ramparrrr!

 

Kai's Rampardos roars, and speeds off towards Ditto. The thunderous sound of Rampardos feet hitting the ground fills the air as it runs towards Ditto, When Rampardos gets within range it lowers its head and when he does the tip of his head starts to glow blue with physic powers as he heads closer towards Ditto.

James grinned as he looked at the two Pokemon,"Looks like the Trainers are going to have a challenge, I'll tell you when another Gym Leader is comming back, I'll dought the Gym Leaders will come back in groups."James said as he looked at Luna's Ditto that Tranformed,"I'll be watching the battle...A Ditto's form, reminds of a Zoroark's Illision, except more advanced."James remembered as he stared at the Bright Blue glow on Kai's Rampardos,"Traveling at fast speed and massive defense is sure tricky to stop."

The mini Rampardos that was formerly Luna's Ditto dived out of the way. "Brightpowder. Love it or hate it." That's when she realized the Zen headbutt was now coming at her. She dived, and watched as Rampardos ran right past her, the glowing blue skull the first thing sailing past.

"Ditto! Use Iron Tail!" The words barely escaped her mouth before she hit the dirt.

Before Rampardos could recover from using its Zen headbutt, a glowing white tail was heading towards it. " Rampardos defensive formation quick " Kai's Rampardos quickly turns around proping its body to use the top of its head as a shiels to reduce the impact. Ditto's iron tail comes down heavy on top of Rampardos head, and it was clear that the move took its toll on Rampardos. Rampardos legs began to wobble from the force of the attack. " Good move Luna, using a steel type move on my Rampardos knowing that hes a rock type, but this match is far from being over" Rampardos started to grind its teeth, and his temper began to flare. Kai smerked and tought to himself > Good that worked perfectly, to use zen headbutt to close the distance between us, now i got you where i want you< " Rampardos you know what to do lets go! " Rampardos opened it's mouth and faced Ditto, small energy particles began to form inside it's mouth. If Kai was renowned for anything it was his hyperbeam, he made sure to teach everyone of his pokemon that technique, he even taught that move to inspiring trainers. So when Luna heard Kai's catch phrase -Lets Go- it was clear as day that a HyperBeam was on its way.

Even James knew it was comming, he decided to step back slightly. Because Hyperbeam was an powerful move that even several of the tougest Trainers have feared. He knew that Kai's Rampardos would inflict great normal damage to Luna's Ditto." Smart thinking,"James exclaimed as he remembered the History of Hyperbeam,"One of the most powerful moves in the Kanto Region, so powerful the move passed through the Generations,"

Leonard moved on through to Hiun City, only to find himself lost. He looked for a Pokemon Center, and found it, though it took him about fifteen minutes. There, he healed his Charmander and Meguroko. He then asked Nurse Joy for directions, and she handed him a map of the Isshu Region. He went to the gym, only to find that was closed. So he decided to stay at the Pokemon Center for the night.

Suddenly, James mobile phone rang, as he reached into his pockets and slammed it into his ear, he was excited,"This is James, the first of the Elite Four speaking....Yes, that was a problem, so you've got some imformation........................"James paused as he listened clearly then he hanged up,"Good news."James remembered as a smile broke on his face,"The Gym Leader of Furrity Island is heading back, the person isn't back yet, but is comming soon and apparently this person has Water Pokemon."

Luna bit her lip as the rampardos was charging up. Her Ditto was as good as out. Then she spotted an opportunity. A suicidal chance, and her Ditto would almost certainly faint, but it could ready the rampardos for fainting by her next pokemon.

"Ditto! Aim another iron tail at Rampardos' stomach!" And the tail began to glow.

 

"That is good news, James." Luna said not wanting to watch what happened next."

Rampardos was hit by another iron tail, and it was another hard blow. Rampardos was in pain from reciving another blow by a steel type blow, but his anger kept him focus on Ditto. Rampardos fired the hyperbeam with full force, the hyperbeam caused Rampardos to slightly slide backwards on the grass. The hyperbeam flew towards Ditto with a great amount of force. Kai looked at Rampardos with some concern, and tought to himself > Rampardos is looking worn after taking two iron tails, plus he will need sometime to recover from that hyperbeam i will have to play my cards right if im going to win this. haha i forgot how clever Luna could be in battle< " Nice counter Kiddo "

Ditto had undoubtably fainted. Taking its pokeball and retrieving it, she whispered a quiet "I'm sorry." before placing it in her belt. She immediately selected another pokemon. "Claydol! Go!"

She didn't even wait for a response from Kai. They both knew that Rampardos needed to recharge. "Claydol! Use Grass Knot!" Ramardos was heavy enough to take a lot damage from it.

 

Now she could talk, "Thanks." She was getting more terse, like it was an official battle. She needed to snap out of it. She was outside! Why would this be official?

When Leonard got up the next morning, he headed to the front desk to say goodbye to Nurse Joy. She then told him that the Gym Leader in Hiun had just arrived, and he should try the gym. Leonard found himself lost again in a big mob surrounding the gym. "Oh boy." said Leonard. This might take a while. He sat down and reached for some Poke-Balls, the ones that contained his Charmander and Meguroko. When he realized the sign "3 on 3 battling," he smacked himself. He really had to get another Pokemon? No matter. He would battle 2 vs. 3 and see what happened.

Amy studied her map as she made her way into the city. "Hiun City?" she muttered, trailing a finger over the dot on the map and looking up at the sign marked 'Welcome to Hiun City!' The girl smiled and nodded. "Awesome, we're not lost, Eevee," she said, addressing the small brown Pokemon perched on her shoulder. The Eevee chirped and opened its eyes to look around the city.

 

The first thing that drew the girl's attention was a mob of some sort forming near one of the buildings. Curious, she wandered over, adjusting her ponytail briefly, which prompted her Eevee to swat at it playfully. Amy paused near one of the people nearby.

 

"Excuse me," she said, addressing Leonard. "What's going on?"

"Oh hi. The gym just opened, and everybody wants to get in to battle. My name's Leonard. What's yours?" Leonard asked in a polite manner. He didn't want to be too excited, a girl finally approaching his face and asking him question without running and screaming for her life because she saw it terrifying. He mentally slapped himself, he thought that he should stop thinking about those things. He realized if he kept thinking about bad things, bad things would happen.

Kai was about to pull out his pokeball to return his Rampardos, but he was to late. The blades of grass wraped it self around Rampardos legs and tail, Rampardos fell down hard face first. " Rampardos are you ok " Kai was shocked to see Rampardos eyes have become swrils, but he could understad why Rampardos would, after all every attack that Rampardos recived was based off an element he was weak aginst. " Rampardos you did well, and you gave it all that you had thats all i could have asked for, now return" Kai held up his pokeball returning his pokemon. " Ok Luna i think its time to step up my game, i think im going to have to use one of my pokemon in my roster. Go Scizor! " Scizor appears from the pokeball, he crossed his arms across his chest, Scizor glares at his target. Kai covers his ears " Scizor lets do this use bug buzz " Scizor extends its wings and begins to vibrate its wings causing a loud ear piercing sound wave that covers the area. Kai smerked knowing that Claydol was half psychc, so bug buzz should do a fair amount of damage.

Which they did.

All across Hiun, television monitors suddenly changed from their regularly scheduled programming to a broadcast from a young man with pale-blonde hair, red eyes, and a red suit.

"Greetings, citizens of Hiun City." The young man smoothly announced. "I am Desna Adats, leader of Team Rocket."

As he said this, several large black planes flew over the metropolis and started dropping black troops with red parachutes as thousands of people across the city suddenly took off their disguises and reveled themselves to be soldiers as well.

"Team Rocket, which, as you have probably heard, is waging a war in several other regions across the globe."

Several strange black battleships suddenly surfaced off of the coast of the city and aimed their cannons at the city as a few more planes off-loaded their paratroopers onto the bridge connecting Hiun to the mainland and at the northern entrance to the city.

"Do not be alarmed. We have decided to capture your city to use as a front for the conquest of the rest of your region."

More troops swiftly captured the town hall and took the city officials hostage with very little resistance.

"Please cooperate with your new masters, and no one will have to be punished."

Several special squads then went up to any place flying a flag and took down the flags, and stared flying black flags with a red "R" on them.

"Thank you, and have a nice day."

Within a matter of minutes, Hiun City was now under Team Rocket's control.

(("a girl finally approaching his face and asking him a question without running and screaming for her life because she saw it terrifying"....what? That's one...very self-conscious kid))

 

"Oh, Gym Battles," Amy said, understanding blazing onto her face. "I'm Amy. Amy Breeze," she continued, smiling. "And this is Eevee," she said, pointing to the Eevee on her shoulder. The Eevee cringed a little, but still looked at Leonard with a mildly curious expression. Amy chuckled and scooped up the Eevee in her arms gently, squeezing it lovingly. "I've just been traveling through the region, so I wasn't sure if something special and exciting was going on the city, you know?"

 

That's when she heard the sudden announcement. "Uh...I didn't mean THAT special or exciting..." she said, biting her lower lip.

Just then, several Team Rocket Grunts surrounded the Gym Leader and the Trainer. A black armored van rolled up, and a dozen more Grunts rolled out. "Hey! You!" A Grunt that seemed to be in charge called out to Leonard." You're the local Gym Leader, are you not? Lenny or...Leon or...Leonard! That's it! Leonard! We've received orders from up top for you to come with us!" A pair of female Grunts grabbed Amy and her Eevee. "Come nicely, and we won't have to hurt your little lady friend and her Eevee!"

Amy let out a squeak of shock when two women grabbed her by the arms. At the same time, her mind was racing. There had to be some sort of mistake! Leonard didn't seem like the Gym Leader. He could be, maybe, since she didn't actually know anything about the City or really even the region. And they somehow knew his name, but he didn't look old enough or even experienced enough to be the leader.

 

Eevee, on the other hand, did not appreciate her trainer being grabbed. She squirmed in Amy's arms until she was dropped, then crept over to the Rockets' ankles and sank her teeth into the nearest leg.

I get back from vacation, and a day later, Team Rocket attacks. Figures.

The crowd around Valerie's gym soon became pure anarchy as Team Rocket Grunts swiftly took the city. Valerie threw all of her pokeballs into her bag before escaping her gym under the cover of the people, who were running in different directions, shouting family member's names, searching for their bags, or calling for their pokemon. The grunts tried to surround the crowd, but everything was just too chaotic. Hiun City may be under the control of Team Rocket, but it'll take a while for them to control the people.
