Yu-Gi-Oh!: Flames of the Duel [Started/Accepting via OOC]

OOC: Shooting Star Dragon, this time, please don't ignore my post.

 

Kryos had been sitting on a bench waiting for what only he knows. He had been there for several hours, and was on the point of falling asleep, when suddenly, an enormous red flame had erupted from the ground. "Finally! I've been waiting so long!" He swung his backpack over his shoulder and pulled back his sleeve, revealing a mark with a dragon, lion, and pegasus crossing together. He walked calmly into the flames and closed his eyes. As soon as Kryos made contact with them, the flames dissipated but he was no longer there.

 

Once more, flames erupted out of nowhere, in a different location, but this time, in the air. "Whoa!" Kryos yelled, falling out of the flames. He pulled himself off the floor. "Leo!" He yelled, noticing him in a duel.

Pandora bumped into Haseo while attempting to ignore TheFinalFan.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I was just trying to get my mind off of...a friend of mine."

 

((YOU'RE LUCKY HE CAN'T HEAR ME!!!))

 

"My name is Pandora Atlas, and I want to ask you a favor." Pandora rached down to her hip, pressed into the side, and dug her fingers in, which didn't hurt her at all. After trying to find something, she eventually pulled out a picture of a white-haired man.

"Have you seen this man, or someone that looked like him? His name might be Protheus."

"K-Kryos." Leo stated, he fell on one knee and managed to get back on his feet LP: 2600. "I'll be fine." Leo stated with a thumbs up. He turned his attention to Malefis, Leo had an intimidating look in his eye. Knowing there was a chance he would lose, this duel was- wait, Leo forgot to tell the Duel Spirit Resistance about that. But this duel as now about getting their attention. Just needed to draw one more card.

[Barian Warlord]

He looked at the picture though he didn't recognize he man. "Sorry I don't know him, though if you have something of his I might be able to find him." Haseo knew he wasn't the only outside to this world and by how over the past couple of days more and more people from other dimensions started to arrive this man could easily be one of them. "This might sound rude but what are you,your anima is odd and well you just stuck your fingers inside your body."

In a dark throne room, a dimensional rift opened up and out came Arkeamis, otherwise known to his subordinates as the Twilight King. "It seems as though nothing interesting has yet happened. Maybe I should have a couple of Shadow Drones invade the human's precious city? That would be something worth seeing." Arkeamis spoke in a deep demonic voice as he walked towards the giant doors. As he walked towards the gargantuan doors, they automatically opened by themselves. As Arkeamis walked out, he opened up another dimension rift and entered inside. As he entered, the rift closed in a manner similar to something being stitched up.

Zac finally arrived at the area that all of the noise had come from. He noticed there was a duel going on between some dragon Duel Spirit and a boy not much older than himself. Zac also noticed the others that were watching the duel and wondered just what exactly was going on. Hmm guess I'll have to stick around and find out just what's happening around here and if anyone can tell me about the Resistance. Zac thought to himself.

Malefis flicked her tongue in an expression of pleasure. "Did that hurt you?" she taunted. Victims who dared challenge her to a duel soon learned that lifepoints depleting took a physical toll on the one taking the damage. "It'll be worse next time," she assured him.

 

"When Magna Drago inflicts damage, it gains 200 ATK points," Malefis continued, the red dragon growling, a red aura surrounding its body. (ATK: 1600) "My turn is over, child."

 

Her gaze flicked momentarily to the one who dared mock her name. Her eyes flashed in cold rage. She never got the respect she deserved. Allies, foes, family...it didn't matter. She was always the lesser one. No matter how strong she got, no matter what she did. Well, she had had enough of that! But for now she said nothing, just let the emotions stew a little longer.

Pandora blushed. "Well, I'm not exactly human. I'm mostly a nanobot-based construct with my vital organs tucked safely away inside my head and torso. This allows me to not only store things in pockets inside of my semi-solid body, but also be virtually immortald and indestructible. Really, only the blast from a nuclear warhead has the potential to be fatal to me." She then realized what else Haseo said. "My WHAT is odd?!?"

Leo drew his card "I summon Morphtronic Magnen Bar. Now I activate my trap, Reckless Greed!" Leo declared as he drew two cards "Now I activate Double Summon." Leo stated. "I sacrifice my Morphtronic Magnen Bar. In order to summon Gadget Haller. Now I discard the remaining two Morphtronics in my hand to power up Gadget Hauler." Leo explained [ATK: 1300 - 2900] "Now I play the final card in my hand, Factory of 100 Machines! Now I remove from play the five Morphtronics in my graveyard to power up Gadget Hauler by 1000!" [2900 -> 3900] "Now! Gadget Hauler! Take out that Magna Drago!"

MiB sensed that Malefis was mad. SHE THINKS SHE GOT NO RESPECT? LOOK AT ME. NO ONE WANTED TO NAME ME SO THEY BASED ME OFF MY SOUL COLD, DARK AND BLACK. He started walking away and saw Haseo and Pandora. He pretended to smile as he walked up to Pandora. " Well look who it is. It is Miss Pandora Atlas. Ob haven;t seen you since you killed me and had me 'live'. Well enough about me. Hows you life going? Killed anybody else besides me in the past two millenia?" MuB asked her in a sarchasyic voice.

"Um, anima is hard to explain, and about your friend if he's here I should be able to track him by his anima." It was at that time that MiB had come, Haseo was surprised by what he had said, almost as much as the things Pandora told him. "Okay so wait what did she do to you?" Haseo kept thinking about what Pandora had said and about what the man who had come across them said, just how much power does this little girl have.

Kryos' spirits lifted as "Gadget Hauler's" ATK had lifted. Leo has a fighting chance! He's not going to lose!, he thought excitedly. He noticed that another boy had been watching the match too (Zac), and he asked, "Resistance?" But his heart sank a little when he realized that Malefis still had a face-down. Whatever it is; please don't be something like "Magic Cylinder", he hoped very hard. If it is, we're all doomed...

Zac saw a man (Kryos) standing near him and thought he should start asking questions to help his search. Zac had seen many people good and evil in his time and he thinks this guy is one of the good guys.... or at least so he hopes. "Hey, my name is Zac Black and you look like someone who knows whats going on. I was wondering if you could tell me who's dueling over there and if you knew anything about this 'Duel Spirit Resistance' I've heard about."

[~Duo~]

Kryos was startled as the Zac had introduced himself. "Oh..." he muttered, then said in a more friendly tone, "I'm Kryos Senai; I'm part of the 'Duel Spirit Resistance'. Um... Well, there is this group of Duel Spirits who had taken control of the Dragon Signers. Apparently, they have this really powerful unknown Duel Spirit as their leader. I have no idea who it might be, but I have a feeling that it's a Dragon Fusion. I've been guessing around 'Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon'." He cocked his head. "That over there is the leader of the 'Duel Spirit Resistance', Leo, who is the brother of one of the missing Signers and the other one is part of the group I told you about, I'm guessing." Then he rubbed his hands together quickly and when he parted them, there was a tiny flare in both hands.

Malefis showed no reaction to Leo's move as it was in progress, but laughed when he had finished. "Are you a complete imbecile, child?" she sneered. "You gave up every card in your hand, every card on your field, and locked yourself from drawing for 2 turns, just to summon that monster and boost it a little?"

 

His monster charged her dragon, striking it and blowing it apart with no resistance. Waves of pain struck her nerves and although she gasped in pain, she shivered in what was undeniably pleasure. She laughed cruelly as she straightened.

"Your Factory's effect disappears at the end of your turn, reducing your Hauler back to 2900," she noted softly.

 

She extended a claw and a card appeared within in. "My turn," she whispered. She looked at the card in her claw and a cruel smirk appeared across her face. "I activate Heavy Storm!"

 

A massive gale of wind surrounded the field, threatening to destroy both of Malefis' remaining cards. "I know you can't chain, since you have nothing TO chain, so I activate my facedown Starlight Road!"

 

The last Trap flipped up, displaying the silhouette of a Stardust Dragon. "When two or more of my cards are being threatened with destruction, this trap negates that effect and destroys it!"

 

Heavy Storm's card exploded harmlessly, the Dragon Canyon remaining intact as it was. "You may be wondering, child, why I negated my own card, or why I even tried to activate that card," she sneered. "Starlight Road has a second effect...it allows me to Special Summon 1 Stardust Dragon!"

 

A powerful, familiar roar echoed through the canyon walls as the triumphant shiny dragon appeared on the field before the armored dragoness. With them side by side, the similiarities between them were striking. (Lvl 8, 2500/2000)

 

Malefis cackled, her eyes shining with delight. "A familiar sight to you, I'm sure, child!"

 

She pointed a claw forward. "Stardust Dragon, attack Gadget Hauler!" Obediently and without hesitation, the weaker dragon rose into the air, charging white energy within its jaw and spitting it towards the Gadget Hauler.

Kryos, with his attention back on the game, was confused. "Why would she attack with something weaker than 'Gadget Hauler'? I know Stardust's effect... but I don't see how that would help her... I know she has skill, so Leo'd better brace himself for what she might do!" he murmured to himself. In his excitement, the tiny flares in his hands had became larger, the size of golf balls. He felt no heat, however, he was just like that...

Zac suddenly jumped at the sight of two flames coming from nowhere in Kryos' hands. "H-How are you doing that? And doesn't it hurt?" Although still a little startled Zac managed to pull himself together. "So you're part of the Resistance huh. Well thats great cause I've been looking everywhere for you guys. See my family was taken by Duel Spirits when I was young and I heard that you guys are looking for people to help fight these Spirits and save the Signers." Zac turned away from Kryos to watch the duel. " I suppose I should ask Leo if I could help out," Zac said in a quiet tone.

[~Duo~]

Kryos nodded head and said, "Well, you see... some of the people in the resistance have 'special abilities'. Why? I have absolutely no idea myself. Mine happen to be teleportation and flame manipulation. Although I get really tired when I teleport, except if I wait a few hours for it to happen." He had been watching the duel the whole time as he had replied to Zac. "Although, wait until we're out of this mess before you ask him," he said, smiling.

[D-Von]

"I see," Zac said. "I guess my ability to see into my future only helps my chances. Although sadly I haven't fully learned how to use them." Zac had been so caught up in the conversation that he barely even noticed that Malefis had just attacked with a weaker monster. "What a foolish dragon, does she even know how to play the game? A child could tell that her monster is weaker than Leos."

[The White Wolf]

Leo's eyes widened as Malefis summoned Yusei's Stardust Dragon. "W-Whaaaaa?!" Leo asked as Stardust Dragon was attacking. Leo's eyes widened as he couldn't bare the thought of destroying Yusei's ace card. Even if he had no choice but to as Stardust Dragon was charging at Gadget Hauler. Leo just closed his eyes so he didn't have to see Yusei's card get destroyed. "(This is impossible!)" Leo thought.

Stardust Dragon fired its sonic blast, striking the machine on Leo's field. In response, the machine fired its cannon, striking the dragon in the chest and blowing it apart. Another wave of pain flooded Malefis' nerves and she clutched her body for a moment. Yet when it faded, she began to pant, almost as if excited, her body shivered in delight.

 

LP: 1300.

 

"A Level 8 monster on my field was sent to the graveyard," she sneered. The last card in her hand spun around, displaying a man making an agreement with the Dark Ruler Ha Des. "Quick Play Magic, A Deal With Dark Ruler! This allows me to summon Berserk Dragon from my deck!"

 

A circle of black mist surrounded the area in front of Malefis, and soon a black zombified dragon emerged, long white hair of some sort sweeping behind it. It roared at Leo and took a step towards the Gadget Hauler. (Lvl 8, 3500/0)

 

"Bet you regret discarding all your cards and staking all your hopes for the next two rounds on that pathetic junk bucket," Malefis sneered. "Berserk Dragon, destroy his tin can!"

 

The zombified dragon groaned and spat a fireball from its mouth, encompassing the machine and blasting it apart. Malefis paused to savor the drop in lifepoints.

 

"I end my turn, and you skip your draw phase. Berserk Dragon's ATK points drop by 500 at the end of each of my turns, but 3000 will be enough to wipe out your pitiful remaining lifepoints!" she jeered. (ATK: 3000)

 

"There is nothing you can do, and I refuse to permit you to stall," she hissed, raising a claw and a card appeared in it. "My turn. Berserk Dragon, direct attack! You're mine, child."

Deep in the main fortress of the Five God Dragon, Shiro simply viewed everything that had been going on with his favorite soldiers with his Dragon's Mirror. "Well, I have to say...Malefis has become quite popular...hasn't she?....facing their leader so early, she is quite bold....all for the hatred of her brother....of course, who here doesn't dislike that Traitor?" behind his throne was a Pentagon shaped altar, in each corner under a protective field were the other 4 signer Dragons' cards, from all of them roars could be heard, they seemed to be in a great deal of pain wherever they really were.

 

"Oh shut up...all of you" He looked at them disgusted of their actions for the last 5 years, but soon enough he turned to a new mirror. "Ah...I know her....she's his daughter...what's her name? I believe it's Arc....and interesting name....I have to say, she's grown quite nicely as well...even in her human form...."

 

He had the other mirror's in the room disappear for a while with the exception of 5. "These are the most interesting.....for now....I'll just have to stay and watch...." He sat back down in his throne, keeping an eye on his subordinates, behind him the distinct roars of F.G.D. could be heard. "Yes...your majesty....I do think they are doing well....the human called Leo was a fool to even begin this...."

Leo collapsed as his life points hit zero. Before falling unconscious he had hoped that his plan had worked. For the rest to have arrived, he did not know if they were there.... All he had, was hope. Duel Spirits all around had witnessed Leo's defeat and were both surprised and yet not surprised. All they knew is that they had witnessed the defeat of the leader of the 'Duel Spirit Resistance' and were happy about it.

Malefis hissed in glee, letting out a roar of cruel triumph. Just as she thought, the human had been no match for her. Such a small child, rumored to be the mastermind behind the lingering resistance. Well, she'd just have to put an end to that, wouldn't she? With a smirk, she flapped her wings, lifting herself a foot or two above the ground and gliding over to where the boy and collapsed. Not even an adult human, was he? She reached down and seized the boy's clothing with her claws, lifting his limp form.

 

It would be no fun to slash his throat with her claws now...no, she needed to punish the vermin for existing...and for daring to resist the current rule. Humans...all of them were pitiful beings, so arrogant and yet so ignorant of where they placed on the chain.

As Leo laid there unconscious Blues came and took him from Malific, "I'll take him back I have a favor to ask of you Malefic, do you think you could take care of a group of duelists not far from here, we already have one person on it but I'm worried I hate to admit it but your better at handling this kind of stuff than I am." With that Blues removed Leos Duel Disk so that he couldn't try anything in case he woke up, soon a chariot flew by with nothing pulling it, "You don't mind do you I'll only be holding him till your done."
