Not too bad, but the flame on the top may have been placed in the wrong spot. Oh well. At least you tried. I was only asking becuz some guy in a shop ordered a splice of those two, and I needed some ideas on how to do it, and where to place things.

I'd like to point out to everyone, Neries has been banned. Took the mods a bit of time to get use to the new banning system I guess or something.

 

I'm not posting this as some type of victory declaration. I'm putting this out as a warning. I know .Jingles went off and took from the same guy Neries did because he thought it was OK. However both have gotten in trouble for their crimes, and I wanted to make sure you all understood this too. It's unwise to just use someone else's art without their permission or giving credit, especially if they ask it not to be used.

Jappio am I right in saying you steel work from gamefreak and nintendo and pokemon without giveing credit when there copyright specifically states they don't want you to or am I wrong.

I don't what mod he contacted when he claimed that. Either he didn't contact one that understood graphics/spriting, he didn't give all the info needed, or he didn't contact anyone at all. Before he even claimed to have talked to this mod I was already talking to Yin about the situation. The reason he wasn't banned until now was due to a bit of confusion. The new forum changed kind of delayed the banning process on their part, but now that was figured out.

 

Also you're a bit late to try and start the argument about if using GameFreak Pokemon is right or wrong. Neries and I argued it before, and I doubt it would be any different with you. I think since Neries has been banned and I have not. So obviously what I'm doing is not considered wrong and what he did is.

If you're talking about the generator there, those are fine. The standard normal Nintendo made sprites are allowed.

Okay hi everyone i know i am not a Member of this Club but i Posted in one of Leonidases Posts and i have to continue in this one about the whole Sprites Thing. By now Stealing from Big Corporate Companies is not treated as Big as it Used to be, which means that if Jappio is accused that he has Stole something from Nintendo then why not try to Close Down every Website that Illegally lets People Download Nintendo Games or try to Ban all the Devices Invented to help the Player Enter a Cheat Code or something else in the Device. So you see if you accuse Jappio of doing Acts of Stealing, you Accuse Half of the Nintendo Users for Buying Illegal Nintendo Devices or Half of the Internet Users for Downloading Illegal Games.

First of all, Pokemon are under Japanese copyright which holds no jurisdiction in the US (same logic the Pirate Bay uses)

Second, even I find what I just said flimsy, so Splicing can be seen as Fan Art. Stealing the Fan Art from others is the same regardless.

I'm not going over this. I just decided to warn the members of this club that mods have ruled that using sprites the way Neries did was wrong. I don't want to see anyone else make the same mistake.

 

I use sprites made by Nintendo, and besides the fact that I have paid for said games that the sprites come from, I in no other way have any form of permission to use their sprites. However Nintendo has yet to ever show any signs of being against fanart. The mods obviously have no problem with it either.

 

I know how this fight goes, I'm not going to continue it. It gets nowhere, and no one on either side bulges.

Look there is an easy fix to this:

 

The Mods Care that Neries stole a Member's Sprite. Nintendo dos not Care. The Mods care about YCM and it's Members who Rip. If Nintendo hasn't stopped Web Sites from Pirating their Work, why would they care about someone ripping their Fan Art? End of Statement. Question settled.
