Hmm... Well, you just proved my point. At the bottom, it says all rights reserved to devian art. Now, if you will, show me the page where it says you can't use devian art's sprites.

Just figured I'd add this one last thing, and its not so much the copyright here, since that argument involves all of splicing, even with nintendo and gamefreak's sprites. Its that in the description the artist specifically said he doesn't want them to be used.

 

Ok now I'm done

Yeah well, just saying that you don't want them used does not make it illegal for them to use it. If you say, "I'll hunt you down and kill you if you use them", it's fine to use them, as it is called sarcasm. Hurting peoples feelings may be senseless, and rude, but not illegal. Now, if he had copyright, stating that they were legally his, then neries would be breaking the law. But, since the only copyright is that of devianart, and devianart allows you to use their sprites if you insert the copyright, which was done, everything here is legal.

Never claimed to be special General Smiley. If Michael doesn't want me here, I'm happy to leave.

Yeah, I think I'll stick around a couple days just to see how this all ends, but I think I'm set frequenting the forums again. I got my bi-annual splicing binge out of the way, and boy was it a good one. I could just use some last C&C on my new sprites from Jappio if you wouldn't mind. Just the dogs in my sig. You already cced the fire one.

So yeh, probably wont be posting much more. School starts in a few weeks, still have a ton of reading. X-C practices start soon, and I have several races in the upcoming days, so Ima stick to photoshop and flash

Ok, then, all done. You win. My internet ego has taken a huge blow :D good thing my splicing binge has kinda run out.

 

Haven't been able to do much splicing at a time since the old clubs were disbanded.....sbamber.........>.>

Something quick. The crystal eyes on the ghost works fine for Sableye because it was its thing. On yours though, it just reminds you of Sableye, pulls away from it being its own uniqueness. Also feels a bit idfferent than the other 3. I suppose because it doesn't have the same large amount of dithering =P

 

The electric one isn't bad. While glancing I can't find much wrong with it. maybe do something a little more with the stripe. Add some more flare in a few areas perhaps, it is the most plain of the four.

 

Ice one is nice, but the ice on the back could be organized a little better. The brown fur also makes it look like it doesn't belong with the other. The other had colors that were vibrant and made them more linked to their element. So a blue or white color might make them all feel more similar.

 

There might be more, haven't the time to look into it more though.

Good luck dude. I still have a little vacationing left to do before summer ends. Then, it's two weeks of relaxation before school starts. In fact, I can't wait to get away from all of this. Between settling arguments, dealing with annoying spammers, posting my beliefs, and disbeliefs in what is right and wrong, splicing, and so much more, I think I have only had a few minutes of fun in total. So, I can't wait to say austa lavista to you guys when I am gone for a week, and don't have to deal with all of this.

I was noticing that the ghost one kinda looked like a fish out of water, but I couldn't figure out why. I'll probably edit that sometime.

 

And yeah, someone else suggested coloring the ice one white or blue. But I kinda like the snow. Like the look that it has snow piles on its back. Maybee I'll try a grey, or something like that. Blue would probably blend with the ice too much, while white doesn't work with the snow. I'll probably try that at some point.

Yeah, I agree with this. its not like I had anything against neries or anything. I just get wrapped up in everyone else's argyments and everything. It sucks

Awesome is not a good enough word to describe how amusing that sprite is but on a serious note that is good it just looks like you did not put much efort into it but it is a good attempt.

 

Oh and I may have exaggerated how awesome it is but I really do think it is cool dude.

I know how you feel. It sucks. But that is okay. With school coming, I'll finally have something to keep my mind off of this. But, before that, I would like to have my mind elsewhere, in a large cabin, in idaho, near a large lake, during the summer, where I have nothing to do but have fun, and live. I'll be staying with my grandparents, swimming in the lake, and going to a new swim center. I'll be relaxing, and using my time wisely. The last thing I'll be thinking about is YCM, and all of this. I leave in a week.

Also, I'll probably do a final revamp of those 4 sprites tomorrow, (its 2 am now D:) and then I'll be off for a long while. Still like to join the club if the leader doesn't mind all that argument with neries. If not thats fine, wont be here all that often.

First off, you never want to enlarge a sprite like you seem to have done in those links. leave it its original size. Secondly, not sure if you can really call those splices so much as recolours. Just sayin
