You haven't proved anything. I think it's crap that you couldn't recognize your own work from someone else's. There is a large difference in skill and style. Regardless if you haven't been working with sprites in awhile, I'd think it would be obvious.

 

Not to mention that even if it was a mistake, it still is theft. Claiming another person's work as your own is something that us artists don't appreciate. I know when looking around at some of Heart of Thorn's posts that she too didn't seem like the person who would appreciate someone else going around and taking credit for her work, mistake or not.

Jappio sorry to say but it's not your place to complain about his work you should just inform the person who he has stolen from and if they wish to deal with it then that's up to them but if they do or do not you still have no right to take there matters into your own hands it is the owners right only.

Art theft is the top crime when it comes to spriters I hope you realize. I wouldn't be surprised if and when Michael or any of the other people running the club come back that they decide to prohibit you from joining.Even if you do get to stay, trust me when I say that people will be looking at you in a different light now.

 

I suppose I've said all I have to say at this point. Unless more is brought up, I suppose I am done.

Neries, I don't know if I can think of a single serious spriter who would be OK with someone else taking credit for there work. When looking around at Heart of Thorn's stuff, I saw her specifically say she didn't want anyone stealing her stuff.

 

I also have plenty of right to bring all this up. I may not be the original artist, but Awesome DZ is still claiming other people's works as his own. He still lied to all our faces, making us victims too.

 

Not to mention that what I'm doing is warning the other artists here of what has transpired.

I've explained already it's unlikely it was a mistake. I find it hard to believe he mistook a sprite of that level for his own. It just doesn't match up well with his other sprites. Then in the case he was telling the truth, still theft, and still a crime. Accidental crime is still a crime.

 

Not to mention my word is not final. I'm free to state my opinion in the matter. I would also think few of the artists here would really find me the one at fault for trying to reveal a potential thief.

Sorry I did not mean to ignore your post but I posted my last post before I saw this if you want to drop this then so be it I just get really angry when people pretend to be heroes to make there self feel good at the expense of some one els. But jappio if he wants to stop this then it's between you two so say what you like jappio I will concede whether this means I get put in the wrong or not.

I'm accusing him of lying, but I never said it as if it was fact in my most recent post. I said it was unlikely that it was a mistake, but that's not out right saying it as fact. I said it's hard to believe, but the only fact there is that's what I 'believe.' I didn't even call him a thief, I called him a potential thief.

 

I'll again point out that by taking credit for the sprite, he lied to us, which is a wrong directed at me and everyone here.

 

Also I don't care if I'm viewed as a hero or not. I'm going to continue to point out possible thefts. I'm going to let people know when they are being tricked. I'm going to let people know when someone is claiming to be something they are not. If I'm viewed badly for this, if I'm kicked out of this club for this, I do not care. I'm not going to just stand by and hold my tongue when there is potential theft amongst the community.

To your first part:

 

If the law system today followed that kind of logic, then people who committed manslaughter would be getting away free. Sure, it was an accident. Doesn't make it any less wrong. 1 way or another, using that Sprite IS theft. Now, I would like you to prove him innocent otherwise. If you bring up about it being an accident, I'm going to assume you've given in and are also saying he's guilty.

Yes, he did attack him, but he had reason to. Sprite theft is serious business.

We're not trying to feel good at the expense of someone else. Heck, if anything, DZ is my friend, but unfortunately this matter DOES need to get finished. Sprite Theft IS serious as I've said before. I mean, if DZ had just given credit for that sprite, then maybe none of this would of been happening. Just think about the last part carefully.

I came up with this idea from a nickname I picked up from yugioh tournaments since every one was afraid of my battery man deck lol.

 

 

 

This is done in the style of megaman cheap I know but I don't give a crap about the quality of this one I just think it's cool.

I'm sorry but unlike you I don't care whether I get proven wrong or right I was simply defending him cus he apologised and removed the splice and yet was hassled further which was not needed since the theft was dealt with so all that should have been done for the owner has been done but then jappio continued which means he was only doing that for him self but since awesomeness has given up there is nothing for him to gain so I can not help him gain it, so if I was to continue answering your questions then it would be sole for me and I'm not that selfish.
