I recorded it on my DVR 3 or 4 weeks ago, thinking it would be good. So the next night, at midnight, I started to play it and it scared the living hell out of me.

 

But I dunno about the book.

Well, the original author of the thread is banned, but, considering the movie of this book was directed by Tim Burton, I have a question. Did Johnny Depp do one of the voices? xD

 

To answer the question, yes, the book is good.

The book's actually scarier since there's no Wybie, so it was only Coraline and the cat. The way she defeats the hand is way different because of that.

I adore this book. The movie was a bit different from what I expected, but all the weird imagery in both makes up for it. :3

I remember I read the novel ages before it was adapted into movie form and I loved it, simply because it's such an unusual and creepy piece of children's fiction. Even though they made a few (in my opinion, unnecessary) changes when it was turned into the movie, it's actually one of the few novel-to-movie adaptions that I'm fond of.

Coraline is a REALLY good book, unless you don't like not being able to get out your chair from pure creepiness ^_^
