Donovyn hit the ground. Hard. "Heh, you're good. I've gotta hand you that. My name's Donovyn. Still, if you think that 'good' is gonna be good enough, well, just wait," he said, forming handsigns yet again. "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" he shouted, three fireballs once again flying toward Fusion. The three separate fireballs that made up the Phoenix Flower Jutsu enhanced by the Oxygen Donovyn was feeding to them. "So tell me, what exactly do you plan on doing about this?" he asked, forming handsigns even while the three Phoenix Flower fireballs flew toward Fusion. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" he said, spinning around while that fire shot out, forming a ring of fire, enhanced by Donovyn's air control.

So the situation is I'm surrounded by a ring of fire and I have 3 fireballs headed toward me. I wonder if... Fusion crouched and formed a ring of green fire around himself. He exerted more heat into it to make it more powerful. "Thanks for teaching me this trick, Kurayami." Fusion muttered with a smirk. The ring of green fire blasted outward in all directions and clashed with the fire ring made by Donovyn. The flames canceled each other out, but the fireballs were still coming in. Fusion decided to be reckless and dashed into the barrage. A green aura formed around his body as he turned into Chisoku Fusion. He ran straight through the flames and was effectively singed, but the flames lingered on his body as he ran toward Donovyn. Fusion then crouched all the way to the ground and charged Donovyn with his flaming body at full speed.

"So, you have tricks up your sleeve. Well, here's something that I bet you didn't see coming." He formed several handsigns, pushing the limits of the human eye. He then placed his palm a few inches off the ground, grabbing his arm with his other arm. Then, lightning appeared in his palm. Except, this time it didn't spin in multiple directions, instead it clustered in his palm, giving off sounds like a thousand chirping birds. Then he dashed for Fusion, preparing to thrust his palm through Fusion's stomach. "Chidori!" he yelled as he began the dash.

I'm about to charge into his palm that's chock full of lightning, I have to counter now! Fusion abruptly stopped running, but his momentum still carried him to the point where he clashed with Donovyn. Quickly he grabbed the wrist that contained Chidori with his hand and crouched right below Donovyn. "This is my most powerful physical attack," Fusion stated. "My uppercut may only inflict minor damage if my focus is even slightly off. But I have you trapped and can't miss. And my uppercut completely devastates whatever it hits directly." Fusion thrust his right fist upward and connected with Donovyn's jaw.

"Guess you don't know just how far my power extends. You see, I'm able to control the air. Make it dense enough to stop very nearly anything. And since a fist has decent wind resistance. In that short a space, you can't get up a lot of momentum. So, by increasing the density of the air in that space, your physical attacks will be nearly useless unless you're able to gain enough momentum to break through the atmosphere I've placed around myself. I should warn you, it's pretty dense. That won't be easy. And, did you know that there are two skull plates that connect right about...here" he explained, jabbing Fusion in the head above and slightly to the right of his right eye.

Fusion's fist seemed to be repelled by an invisible force, but soon realized it was air. I can't get through- but his thought was interrupted by Donovyn's hand heading for his face. Fusion immediately reacted on instinct and did a backwards somersault and launched Donovyn away from him. He then powered down to normal to conserve energy. That was close, this guy knows the weaknesses of the human body well. It wouldn't be a problem if I could utilize Kyoja form, but it's not possible at this time. Fusion thought vigorously on how to proceed within the time span of a few seconds, and then decided to go with a risky plan. He turned into Chisoku Fusion once more and began running in circles around Donovyn as fast as possible. Next, he started shooting fire from his palms aimed at the ground, but kept running. Eventually, a giant ring of fire formed around Donovyn, which escalated into a tornado from the high speeds of Fusion's running. He may even be able to dispel a giant inferno like this, but I'm ready for that. Fusion rummaged his pockets and prepared to what Donovyn would do next.

Donovyn managed to land on his hands and feet, still sliding back a few feet. He was then surrounded by what he could have sworn was a tornado of fire. "Not good. I can force-feed Oxygen to make fire bigger. But I've never actually practiced keeping Oxygen from fire. That's a completely different story. Plus he's fast. Not gonna be able to stop that. And if he comes at me with another uppercut...he's got the momentum to break through my atmosphere." he thought. Unable to think of something to counter it. "Let's see, what would happen if I tried increasing these flames to the point of an explosion? I could deflect the shock wave, maybe, never tried it with one that big. Still, I know he'd take more damage, he's at ground zero," once more in his head, then, out loud, "So, here's the plan in motion!" and began feeding Oxygen to the flames, hoping to cause the air to super-heat, "which would form lightning, and a blast of thunder, the shock wave of which should be enough to knock him back several hundred feet. Hopefully it won't kill hi, this guy's fun!" he told himself in his head, a somewhat psychotic smile now on his face.

Fusion immediately sensed the danger that Donovyn was about to make happen. "You maniac, you'll level the whole mountain!" But he knew Donovyn would not listen to him. Go and Kenwei have probably retreated to the bunker underneath the cabin, so they're fine. But what will I do? Time was running out and Fusion was about to be taken into the explosion. Suddenly Fusion thought of something. He took an Ice Flower out of his pocket and turned into Ice Fusion. For a short amount of time, Fusion was able to freeze the giant inferno so Donovyn would be encased in a giant tower of ice made of the frozen flames. Next, he formed an ice path which he rode to the top of the tower. He turned to normal and landed on the top. "This will be hard on the both of us." He turned into Neo Fusion so he would be able to fly and began to charge a fireball in his palms. The heat and energy were more intense than normal since it was formed while Fusion was in Neo form. He then released the fire in the form of a giant wave that completely filled the hole from the top of the tower. The ice immediately melted and boiling water cascaded along the mountainsides, causing lots of steam to obscure Fusion's vision of Donovyn. He landed outside the steam cloud and turned to normal, using his knees as support while he caught his breath. So was it the fire or the flooding water that proved most effective?

A wind picked up, blowing the steam away, allowing Donovyn a clear view of Fusion. Donovyn was breathing hard. Not out of exhaustion, but more out of frustration. Of course, he burst into uncontrollable laughter after only a few seconds. "Wow. I can not remember the last time I fought a guy this fun! Man, if not for that air bubble I made, that scorching water would have finished me. Not to mention using the steam as a cover to get that far away from me. You're eight kinds of good. No lie."

Fusion stared in disbelief. "How the eff did you come out of that practically unscathed?" But he paused and started chuckling as well. "So many strong guys lately. You, Kurayami, that hedgehog dude, the Water Demon, Cortez, and that one bone ninja. You've all helped me improve my skills and strength. So far, I've had 1 win, 1 loss, and 2 ties in the past few months." He stood up to his full height and faced Donovyn. "You're an oddity. 2 of my fights had opponents who fought for fun and complimented me like you. The other 2 fought aggressively and acted somewhat maniacal like you. So I don't know where to place you exactly." Fusion said with a small grin. "But I refuse to lose. So come on!" Fusion went into Chisoku and ripped through the water towards Donovyn. He jumped and twirled himself in mid-air so he would be facing Donovyn's back. Fusion gripped his shoulders and swung down to kick Donovyn's legs with his own. They fell back and Fusion began to submission him into a grappling stance.

"And you've helped me as well, Fusion. You see, I never noticed it before, but when someone moves, they create shock waves. I never noticed this, but now, well, it's not exact, but I can tell the relative location of someone simply by feeling these shock waves. Along with their distance. It seems these things get weaker the farther they go, but that's to be expected." He spun around and threw a punch, expecting to hit Fusion square in the face, to find that Fusion had grabbed onto his shoulders and was attempting something. Then he fell to the ground. Fusion had kicked his legs out from under him. He rolled out of the way just in time to avoid a series of attacks, no doubt intended to submission him. "I've never tried this before, but now I know these things exist, I may as well try to enhance my own Shock Waves." He threw a punch aimed at Fusion, managing to enhance the shock wave enough so that it might at least be felt.

Fusion quickly threw up his left arm to block the shockwave formed from Donovyn's thrusting fist. It stung quite painfully, but no more extensive damage resulted. I suppose we all learn something about ourselves and others when we fight. "I've heard before that when two warriors of high or equal class fight each other," Fusion began to say. "They can read and understand each others' feelings simply by exchanging blows. So tell me Donovyn, can you get an idea of what I'm feeling?" Fusion backed up, then charged forward to slam Donovyn square in the chest using the momentum of his speed and the power behind his full body to inflict damage. But he knew this type of straightforward move could be easily countered, so he twisted his body horizontally and kept his left foot and hand gripping the ground as he skidded closer. "And now!" Fusion yelled as he thrust his right foot upward to connect with Donovyn's skull.

Acting purely on instinct, Donovyn jumped up. Going higher then he intended. When he landed a foot back, "well, that was weird. No time to try out more new moves, work it out later. Now, back to you, uhhh, unfortunately, I don't think that applies to autistic warriors. See, autistics aren't known for their skill at reading others. Though, I do know how to do this!" Donovyn formed another Rasenthunder attack, and charged at Fusion, a billboard of manic-ness at he shouted the name of the attack (which seems to be necessary to make ninja moves work) "Raaaseennn...Thundeeeer!"

"You're autistic? Oh, well then-" he was cut off as Donovyn charged with yet another RasenThunder. I can't get hit by that, that would be instant incineration. Fusion charged quickly to Donovyn's left side and kicked at his ankle, causing him to fall. The RasenThunder was then released onto the ground, effectively leveling it to form a crater. That was close... Fusion then grabbed Donovyn's ankles, rapidly spun him around a few times, then threw him into a wall of a cliff. Lifting all that weight is strenuous for my muscles when I'm in this state..

Donovyn stood up, a little shaky, but still giving a maniacal laugh, as though he hadn't felt a thing. The increasing manic in him apparent in his eyes and voice. "That's right. It has trade offs, but I think the lacking social skill is more than compensated for by the intellectual boost. You are no doubt familiar with my knowledge of Human Anatomy." In his head, he was still able to rationalize his own weaknesses. "Heh, all of this flashy showboating has left me with little chakra. won't be able to pull off to many more moves. His attacks are similar, though, he's drawing power from something other than Chakra."

What's he saying? Something about chakura or whatever. Maybe that's what he refers to everyone's inner energy as. I've heard names for it like chi, spiritual energy, and now this chakura, but I suppose it's all the same. It's what we run on and use for our special abilities, whatever they may be. But in any case, his is low, which is good. But my energy isn't so hot either. The battle should be ending soon.. Fusion picked up his hammer and sheathed it temporarily. Close combat isn't the best option, he can repel me with air resistance and create an opening. But using fire and thunder from a distance shouldn't work either since he's seen and used it already. Unless...I get creative. Fusion ran forward in Chisoku form, but jumped while he was still a good distance away. When he got close to Donovyn, he aimed his head downward and breathed a burst of fire which propelled him into the air and served as a feint. Fusion then took out his hammer and infused it with a lot of electricity. Hope this can penetrate. Fusion then threw his hammer like a javelin aiming right where Donovyn was standing.

"Should, no, I'll have to save my Chakra," Donovyn thought, barely dodging the hammer. "Great. Now my physical reaction time is shot. Gotta find a way to finish this. He's seen all my moves. And their all similar to his. Not to mention, he can infuse lightning and fire into that hammer," once more in his head, "Let me try something. I may not be able to make this very powerful, but it should provide a decent diversion. and as far as I know my Chakra is unaffected." He began a series of punches and kicks, enhancing the shock waves as much as possible. "I just wish the distance weren't so great. It'll have to do." He then formed a few handsigns, and waited for Fusion to get distracted. "I'll only have one shot," again in his head.

Fusion saw the incoming shockwaves and was stuck in mid-air. He transformed to Neo Fusion and quickly swerved direction to dodge the shockwaves in the nick of time. But then he realized that was a diversionary tactic and saw Donovyn making complex gestures with his hands. Shoot, he's up to something, perhaps an ultimate attack as a last resort? I have to be ready. Fusion formed another ring of fire and began to expand its width until he was completely encompassed in the sphere of fire. I can't hold it like this for long, but at least Neo form will increase its destructive power and help maintain its form for enough time. Fusion flew right at Donovyn, hoping he would escape from the collision with only minor injuries.

"He's coming at me? Not what I was hoping for. And he's got that fire? Guess he forgot." he thought, a smirk replacing the look of shock. "Have you forgotten what I can do?" He dropped the handsigns, and held both of his hands, palm out. He fed Oxygen to the flames, causing them to grow in intensity. "I just hope whatever happens happens before he gets too close. Otherwise...we're both screwed." he said, automatically, unaware he was speaking out loud.

Fusion smirked, "Looks like he's doing what I wanted him to." Fusion suddenly burst out a kiai which immediately extinguished the fire surrounding his front, then with lots of energy, charged straight into Donovyn, taking them both through the cliff wall. He used his right hand to keep pushing Donovyn back as he charged a Thunderhand in his left one. Then he finally slammed his Thunderhand straight on Donovyn's chest.

[Shadow Zero]

As Cortez approached the Enshrined Chaos Emerald, a giant stone door slammed down from above, along with several other slabs of stone that completely blocked access to the Chaos Emerald. At this point, Shadow Zero saw that there seemed to be a battle going on that had stopped, and used Chaos Control to appear in front of the ruins. He noticed that Cortez was there as well, and felt that there was another source of crystalized Chaos within what seemed to be a stone fortress laced with chaotic energies so as to keep anyone from approaching. Interesting. This seems to be a rather high security place. I wonder what could be so valuable to require all of this security. As he thought this, Shadow Zero approached. When he grew close enough, a hologram activated and showed what appeared to be is Shadow Form, except that it was human in appearance. Surprised by this, he watched as the hologram spoke. "These ruins are my final resting place, and the place where the seven lights were created. None bu my direct offspring shall pass. Any attempts to breach the security of this place are useless, and any attempts to use Chaos Control will result in the user being teleported far from these ruins. You have been warned." As the hologram finished speaking, Shadow Zero approached Cortez and said "Well, now what?"

 

((Personal Note: The Ranmyaku Ruins were created by Ranmyaku Shadou, as well as the seven lighs of Chaos, also called the Chaos Emeralds. He is a being that fought in a war long ago, and after that war created the Seven Chaos Emeralds based on the powers of his own Requiem Gems. Only direct descendants of his, i.e. Shadow Zero, Can pass this barrier. He does not yet know that he is descended from Ranmyaku though.))

Bando was sitting in his chair thinking "I need to get out of this place for a break so he walked out of Kougakure and took a stroll by his favorite river It was then he saw a shadowy figure on the other side. He had kinapped a ninja belonging to Kougakure based on the assumption by the head band. The ninja was crying out for help, while the shadowy figure only laughed with no remorse for what he had done. The same rage that had awoken Raigan when the Kunagakure ninja had attacked his village and killed his parents now coursed through his body when he saw the helpless kid. Of course, he had never met the kid but he cared very deeply for the people of the village. He awakened his Raigan and formed the horse hand symbol and used Raikou Mizu to shock his body with 50 Volts of electricity. Charred and defeated the shadowy figure showed himself in the light. It turned out to be a woman with dark hair. He was not phased by this as she sprinted through the trees. Bando followed in pursuit yelling" You think I'd let you get away with what you've done!" They ran out of view from the rescued kid and the kid heard a bloodcurdling scream and the shock of electricity. Bando came out completly unharmed and told the kid, " Let's go to the village and get you some help." The kid looked up to Bando and thought, " Thank you Lord Bando."

Donovyn groaned, having just been knocked through solid rock. He looked into Fusion's eyes, clearly displaying rage, all traces of manic lost, replaced by rage. "Well, I have to admit, I didn't think you'd try anything like that. Now, it's time to end this," he said, forming one final Rasenthunder. "This is it. If this fails, then I'll have no more Chakra. No more of these flashy attacks," he thought. Then he noticed that Fusion had the idea of using a lightning attack as well, and then both fighters thrust their attacks into the others chest.

Crap! We'll kill each other if our attacks land, what was I thinking?! But at any rate, I can't die now, not when I have friends waiting for me and I still need to bring that guy to justice. What do I do? Fusion thought in a split second when he saw the Rasenthunder. He stopped pushing Donovyn with his right arm and quickly whipped it against the arm containing the Rasenthunder. But in doing that, he couldn't hit Donovyn with the Thunderhand, so he discharged the electricity hoping it would hit. The Rasenthunder hit the side of the tunnel Fusion just created and blasted Fusion out of it, hitting him with debris. Can I even move? I'm in mid-air right now, so it's hard to tell.
