[Guest Neo Fusion]

At first, Fusion was sure he had successfully beaten Tenkai by scrambling the signals in his nervous system. This, however, proved to not be the case as he could move his arm soon after and launch a shadow attack from Fusion's own shadow. No! I can't let him get me like this! A red aura enveloped Fusion and he flew towards El Make. Neo Fusion gives me enhanced power and speed, I need to finish him before he can attack me with my shadow. Fusion charged a Thunderhand in his palm and released the high voltage right in front of Tenkai.

OOC: Ok Fusion, it's mini-GMing if you dodge every single attack I make...

 

IC:

 

"You never quit, do you?" Tenkai gripped the katana stapped to his back, sliding it out of its sheath in a fluid motion. Holding it back, Tenkai readied himself for the blow of the Thunderhand. Putting all of his strength into one swing, Tenkai pulled the sword across his body and slammed it into Fusion's attack, creating a fountain of shimmering sparks. Holding this stance for a couple seconds, he was then flung backward along with a streak of lightning that blasted his left arm. Tenkai rolled on the ground away from Fusion, eventually coming to a stop near a dead tree.

"You... you have... that powerup of yours... And here I thought you were at your max..." Tenkai staggered to get up, gripping his left arm, the burning of the nerves and the lightning raking it with pain. Holding his katana with his right hand, Tenkai smashed it into the ground, letting the first few inches sink into the earth.

"Alright, if you want to fight like this, I'll show you, my own moves I've come up with!" Tenkai gripped the hilt tightly, shadows for surrounding objects flowing into the sword. The blade became pitch black, and the ground around it began to crumble.

Kage Yaburu! A single black line formed from the sword to Fusion, a strand of shadows wrapping arounde his ankle. The line began to burst into flames at the sword, racing towards Fusion.

 

OOC: Also, add this under my Shadow Infusion

Utilizing his katana, Tenkai stabs it partially into the ground. He then flows shadows into the sword, connecting a a shadow from his sword to his target. The line bursts into flames at the sword, quickly advancing towards the target. When the flames finally reach their target, they stay for about 2 seconds, buring the opponent. Then, the shadows contained within the sword are compressed and are drained out of Tenkai's sword, flowing down the line until they reach the opponent, which they burst up into the person's face.[/spoiler]

OOC: Sorry, I'll keep that in mind. Although, I never actually dodged your attack since my shadow comes with me wherever I go, so you still could have used it if it was quick enough. And alright I'll add it.

 

IC:

Fusion glanced at his right hand and saw a cut across the palm. He still managed to cut me when I was using a Thunderhand. Interesting. He then realized that shadows were constraining his ankles. Fusion powered down to normal to conserve energy, but saw that Tenkai was already unleashing a new attack. I can't dodge this, there's only one course of action. The flames reached Fusion's ankles and began to burn him, but his appearance became inverted as he activated Shokyoku Mode. The negative energy traveled along the line to the sword and reached Tenkai. "This is a good attack Tenkai, if not for Shokyoku, you would have won with it. However, the move has one weakness, it connects you with your opponent. Now your sense of movement should be even more impaired." Fusion then severed the shadows binding his ankles and began rolling around. It may look stupid, but hey, stop, drop and roll is the first thing I learned regarding fire safety. Fusion stood up and turned to normal. I'm a little worse for wear from that and Shokyoku, but Tenkai shouldn't be able to move well. Fusion picked up his hammer lying a few feet away and charged at Tenkai to knock him out.

"Wha..... what's going on....?" All of a sudden, Tenkai's movements became sluggish and irregular. His hand released the katana, leaving it standing in the ground. The buring in his left arm reached up towards his shoulder, curiving down through his heart and into his stomach.

I.... I can't move at all. The burning is becomeing worse... and... he completely destroyed my attack. Ugh, I have to go with the asumption that he still is holding back! And if that's really the case.... Tenkai struggled to lift his hand to the base of his neck, placing it over where the Curse Mark was located. Then.... I have no choice... The burning ceased, and was instantly followed by a chill consuming his body. Crippled, damaged, and his knock out move approaching, Tenkai struggled to focus on Fusion. He couldn't even speak.

This... is it. I can't lose now... I have no choice, but to break my rule of never using the Curse Mark unless I'm facing hell. Hehe... looks like I am, I guess. Tenkai felt the cold stop, and a heat starting at the base of his neck. The flame patterns that accompanied the Seal of Heaven spread up onto the left half of his face and began creeping down his arm. The marks stopped there, and the heat faded, along with some of the distortion. Now Tenkai began to be surrounded by a dark aura, raging into a strong wind that blew the grass back.

What the hell is that? The records never mentioned he could do this. Fusion halted his charge and stared at the new form his opponent was taking. All this power, it's too much! For him too... Fusion noticed that Tenkai also looked pretty worse for wear. I don't have a clue on what's coming, I better take some precautions. Fusion formed a green aura and ran in circles around Tenkai as Chisoku Fusion. Then he briefly halted, then ran toward Tenkai in an attempt to tackle him using power from his momentum and speed behind his body.

I still don't have complete control! Yet, the Curse Mark's power enabled some of it back into my body. If all goes well.... huh? What the frik is that guy doing!? Tenkai watched in pain as Fusion raced towards him, a strong blow surely coming. Standing up as best as he could, Tenkai pulled back his fist and punched his attacker square in the shoulder. The power from the Curse Mark super charged the punch, putting it almost up to par with Fusion's Chisoku Form attack. Almost. The collision created a shockwave that crunched the ground beneath them, and the speed from Fusion's attack overpowered Tenkai. His punch was knocked aside and he was rammed at high speed right in the chest. Hearing a crack and the air being knocked out of him, Tenkai slid back a few yards before the momentem ceased to carry him farther.

This speed he has.... I might not last longer with the Curse Mark wasting me away!

Gah! My shoulder! Fusion hit the ground right after he tackled Tenkai. My shoulder should have been dislocated there...I guess it was a good thing I had all that power backing me, otherwise I'd be worse off than a sprained left shoulder. Fusion stood up and panted. He's still affected from my attack, now's my chance! Fusion dug his heels in the ground, gripped his hammer, and sped right to where Tenkai was. He abruptly stopped a half-yard or so away and used the momentum gained from his charge to skid the rest of the distance in a crouching stance. "Take this Kurayami!" Fusion threw his hammer like a javelin at Tenkai's chest with barely any distance in between them. Since I'm weaponless, I better prepare for a possible counter-attack. Fusion gathered two fireballs in his palms, hoping he wouldn't have to use them.

[El Make]

Tenkai snapped to focus on the hammer, adreniline flowing throw him. By now the effects of Fusion's Shokyoku had almost worn off, and Tenkai had the reactions to move fast enough to put together a defense. Clapping his hands together, Tenkai built a 2'x2' wall of shadows where the hammer was meant to land. The weapon cracked and smashed it's way through the layers of his defense, completely destroying it. The hammer though had lost enough momentem to only smash into Tenkai and knock him to the ground with another broken rib.

Damn it.... I... have to.... get up.... Closing his eyes, Tenkai used shadows to grab his arms and force him back up. Bearly able to stand, Tenkai clapped his hands together again. Shadows created an orb around his hands, almost coming apart.

Curse Mark Ability: Kurayami Shōgekiha! Tenkai separated his hands and pushed them outwards to his side. The orb collapsed on itself and fell apart, blasting itself in in a 360 degree range. Continuous blasts kept coming out of the orb until in finally ran out of energy.

Fusion couldn't dodge the incoming blast in time, so he used his arms to take the brunt of it. His arms each had 2 deep cuts in them. Was it Shokyoku that was holding him back? He's regaining power and speed. Fusion brought the two fireballs together to form one giant fireball. This kind of attack won't work on him, my best bet is to stick with close combat. Fusion ran a few yards away, then in circles around Tenkai once more. He ran faster and faster until afterimages began to form. That should confuse him. Fusion jumped up and began to descend above Tenkai. He landed and a giant green fire erupted from the point of impact.

As Fusion came down with the fireball on Tenkai, he could only react enough to move to the side a few steps. As the fire exploded, Tenkai was thrown many yards away and into a thriving bush. Bugs flew away as the person wearing black invaded their home, snapping all the little branches it contained. His momentum still going, Tenkai rolled out of the bush and came to an abrupt stop.

"I never met someone who could actually do this to me," Tenkai said as the Curse Mark receded, "Congratulations on brining me to the brink of death. Though I never learned your name... And I wish to know it, so I can find you one day... to kill you. Maybe by then you'll have grown enough to for me to not take you so lightly." Tenkai got on his knees and pulled his katana out of the ground, resheathing it.

Using a small portion of the Curse Mark's power, Tenkai collects shadows around his hands which he claps together. Releasing his hands, he spreads his arms out. The orb created sends off layers of shockwaves, cutting and blasting the enemy in a 360 degree area.[/spoiler]

OOC: Ninjew, I HOPE you didn't get the gang idea off of my bios... but you probably didn't.

 

IC: Derek stood there, marveled for half a second. I don't know why, but I actually feel a bit more amazed than I do while sparring with others. Oh well. So, I can tell he's using energy. I wish I had the Cathesis ray. It would be more useful with the energy draining... He knew that his original plan wouldn't work, since Sven could float, therefore the air advantage wouldn't do much. He knew the swords weren't helping, since it could stop him from using a direct attack. However, he looked at the ground and realized a possible advantage. Derek concentrated and used his Old Power to create a barrier around him. He used his other powers to increase the barrier's size, making it surround both him and Sven. He left holes in it, so they could both breathe. "Let's see how well you can fight in the dark," he said. He hoped that Sven wouldn't notice that he was a bit fatigued from using his powers, and Derek couldn't concentrate too well. He began to stop thinking and rely on his senses and instincts.

OOC: Nope, but they are going to form a gang to gain more power from each other. no loyalty though.

 

IC: As it got dark, Sven knew it was time to use his tracking kidou He did this only because he had no pesquisa, one of his downfalls. He drew a circle in front of him and a bright light shown. He began saying a chant that ended in, "Bakudo #58 Kakushitsuijaku." Suddenly symbols started moving quickly across the screen as Sven tracked down Derek inside the barrior. In no time at all, he had tracked Derek and his movement. Sven began gathering more energy as he prepared to end this fight in one move. However in the blackness it would not even be seen.

 

Azera noticed the barrior form and got more interested. "The one who survives will be my fighter," he said to himself. He got within a few meters of the barrior and stopped. He simply waited for the barrior to disappear before he went to fight. Azera crossed his arms in waiting.

 

Kisune jumped off the wall when he saw the barrior form. He began walking towards it to see who would make it out of the barrior standing. "The one who survives I will fight," he said to himself. However because of the barrior he did not see Azera and so not knowing this, he would be in for a world of surprise.

[Spirit of DMG]

Wandering around for a while, Donovyn found a couple of people fighting. "Mmmm, it'd be fun to mess with the fight. Still, I recognize the green one, he was the one watching my fight. He didn't interfere. Then again, he wasn't in any proximity to mess with mine. If I do mess with the fight, how do I go about it? I mean, which one is the injured party here?" He says to himself in his head. He curled his mouth to the side, thinking hard. He picked up a stick and singed one end of it. He threw the stick into the air. "If the singe points toward me, I do it, if it doesn't, I leave them alone." The stick landed. He smiled at the result, and made a few hand signs. "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" he shouted, three simultaneous fire blasts emanating from a single point aimed at the area between the two fighters flying toward their target, which was nothing.

 

(No, really, I used a pen in place of the stick, and the writing tip in place of the singe.)

Derek's strategy managed to work. He could see Sven gather energy because he had night vision. He also could see how the symbols moved and how he was being tracked. He used his Old Power to adjust the earth below him. He created an Earth clone exactly ten feet away from him. While Derek charged at Sven, the Earth body started to go around and behind Sven. Just as they were both 5 feet away from Sven, Derek stopped and created another fissure below Sven's feet while the clone charged from behind.

Fusion saw the incoming fire and barely managed to dodge. A new enemy? This would happen to me...I better capture Tenkai now before more mayhem ensues. "You were a strong opponent, Tenkai Kurayami," he said to him. "My name is Fusion X. Denver and I'll be taking you in." Fusion formed a green aura and rushed toward Tenkai.

Sven tracked the new arrival and made a note of which was Derek and took note of where the second person was going as was the first. As a new fissure formed, Sven stayed in the air like before using Luna Paseo Cero to stay up. According to his tracker the clone was coming from behind and he put out his hand and fired a cero into it. It had be fired without any incantation or such and without Sven even looking that direction. Then he aimed his other hand at Derek and within the blackness a black box formed around him. With nightvision and in the dark, Derek wouldn't be able to see this attack. Suddenly spikes of energy from within the box, shot inwards into Derek and impaled him. However Sven made sure not to kill him, because he was only testing out his powers.

[El Make]

"Even though you won, that doesn't mean I'll give up so easily, Fusion." Tenkai pointed to the cracks in the ground where the shadows had sunk in earlier, and the shadows rose up in front of him. As he spread his fingers out, the shadows created a wall of spikes that blocked Fusion's way to him. Next, Tenkai pointed to the shadow of the bush he had just crushed, whipping it under himself and spreading it out to carry him. Raising his hand, the shadow lifted him off the ground and high into the air.

"It's been nice, but I really have to go now. But don't go soft Fusion, I'll be back!" Tenkai pointed off into the horizon, the shadow beneath him flying him away from the battle.

To finally find someone capapble of hurting me to this extent... making me use the Cursed Seal of Heaven... Tenkai placed a hand on his neck where the Curse Mark was. Next time, I won't hold back...

Derek used his senses to notice the spikes move towards him. He knew he couldn't dodge in time, so he used his Old Power to create a crust of Earth around him. He was still impaled, but the crust reduced the pain of the impact he took from the spike. For the first time, I'm thankful for the Hulk's DNA and his healing factor. He spread his wings and made them lightly touch the ground. He started running old power through himself, creating spikes surge out of the Earth in a total of a 15-foot radius with his increased distance. I know he'll probably dodge it, but I'm feeling lucky. And frustrated. Derek started dashing at Sven. His speed was tripled because of his rage, and he continued to generate spikes. He leapt at Sven, and his enhanced strength made him so fast that he generated a sonic boom. He aimed directly at Sven, using his wings to direct him.

Using the tracking kidou still, Sven knew where Derek was coming and how fast. At the right moment, he used Sonido and disappeared from Derek's view. "I don't know how you are still able to go on, but this is the end for you," Sven said from behind Derek. In a single swift action, Sven removed his hollow zanpakuto and sliced off one of Derek's wings just after he spoke. Since Derek couldn't see Sven directly behind him, he wouldn't know he was behind him until he had begun to speak. Even then Sven's strike would still hit him. Sven also had positioned himself to where a spike wouldn't hit him.

"Aww, I wanted to mess around with them some more..." Donovyn said, mimicking the disappointed voice of a five year old. He jumped onto the battlefield and ran toward Fusion. Laughing, he slowed down to a leisurely stroll. He didn't bother introducing himself, or lowering the hood on his cloak. He just stared off toward where Tenkai had flown off, stopping his walking one foot away from Fusion. "Well, that was fun. Sorry for almost incinerating you. Well, they say the un-aimed arrow never misses. Guess it's true."

Derek crashed through the Earth Barrier he created, and light flowed back into it. He writhed in pain as his wing began to be cut off, but he used that to his advantage. He used his second wing and angled it with the sun's rays to send a blinding ray of light directly into Sven's eyes. Because Sven was still able to track movements, Derek's wing was cut off in the same way. He saw one spike of earth appear directly ahead of him, and spun in the air to land on it. He used his old power to break off a part of it that was in the shape of a spike. He leapt off of the spike, directly at Sven again. He shrunk his wings this time, which would increase his overall velocity. At that moment, he broke the earth weapon he had in his hand which broke into dozens of tiny Earth particles that moved faster than an average bullet and were just as strong, but were much smaller. He charged right behind them, traveling much slower, but relying on his senses to counter Sven's inevitable counterattack.

Sven allowed the small particles to hit his body, however his hierro withstood most of the atatck being so strong. However because the particles were small and focused by each one, he took small damage. The only true reason why Sven had stayed where he was, was because of the momentary blindness that Derek had caused him. Though as Sven's vision returned to normal he saw Derek come towards him. "A frontal assault is never your best bet," he said. Sven aimed his left palm towards Derek and fired off another normal cero like he had down twice before now. Though immediately after firing he disappeared in a sonido and appeared to Derek's side that he would be able to fly when he extended his good wing. If Derek either extended his bad wing or took the cero, Sven would watch him go to the ground, but if Derek extended his good wing, Sven would slash and cut into it as well. This would render both wings useless and Derek would have to retreat.

 

Azera and Kisune watched as the barrier was destroyed and the two fighters emerge. They took note of the one obviously dominating and knew it would end soon. They also saw each other across the way since the barrier was gone, but decided not to think of any importance at the moment. "This will be fun," they both seemingly said to themselves.

Derek already predicted a counter similar to this one. He still managed to concentrate through his rage and pain. This allowed him to channel his Old Power. He raised an earth wall directly in front of him at a diagonal angle and bounced directly off of it to get away from the attack. He still took part of the cero, which disabled his right leg due to damage around the knee, but he took note of something: the blindness actually halted Sven. He extended his bad wing, which got another centimeter back due to his healing factor, and slowly started angling it. This was not as noticeable as his other wing, which was vividly motioning blinding Sven. At the same time, he planted his left hand against the ground as he would when he created fissures. This time, he created an earth platform around him. He angled it towards Sven, and rushed directly towards him. He used his senses to figure out if Sven was going to shoot another projectile or not.

 

Cortez was running to Avalon, ready to assemble his team of people. However, he got sidetrack by a beam of light that ran by him. He ran in that general direction and eventually saw Derek fighting another person in the distance. He saw that Derek was injured and losing, but he started running to Avalon again, faster this time. I hope he'll stop fighting once I give him the signal. Just about 2 more minutes and I'll be there. He said as he dashed back to Avalon. I hope he doesn't die before then. I already know a replacement, but I'd prefer Derek.

Damn...he got away. Fusion hit the ground in frustration. So basically all I got out of this is a new enemy and no money either. Terrific. Fusion heard someone behind him and turned to see a teenager clad in black. "I'm guessing you were the one who threw those fireballs at me, eh? Well look, I'm not in the mood for a fight right now, if you're that set on it, take it up with me tomorrow." Fusion began walking off back to Karamana Town to send out forces to apprehend Tenkai.

Tenkai began to descend, heading for a small cave located roughly a mile from his fight with Fusion.

Damnit... I'm loosing power! I need to get over to that cave before it's too late! The shadow swooped down near the ground, barely skirting over the small patches of grass that dotted the area. Tenkai felt his power slipping, and all to suddenly the shadow beneath him dispersed. A few yards from the cave, Tenkai skidded along the grass, his knees getting cut up in the process. Now at the entrance to the cave, he finally stopped. He began to crawl into the darkness, a familiar darkness to him.

"It was around here... somewhere!" Tenkai growned. Feeling around the cave, his hands gripped a small bottle. Popping the cap off, he drank the whole thing as a cooling sensation entered his body.

"Ahhhh...." Tenkai sighed, "I knew it was smart to leave a small base somewhere. And having a healing potion in here sure helps.... Though, even with this, I'm still going to need a while to fully recover... and I might not get any sleep tonight... not after I used the Curse Mark." Tenkai placed the bottle down and crawled deeper in. Soon he found a make-shift bed of straw, grass, and cloth.

"Home sweet home..." He said as he tried to get some sleep.
