"What? He needed the exercise, right?" Fusion said as he looked up to Yoshi. Yoshi gurgled and hinted that he was tired. "That, and I needed some company. So where are you off to? I'm just off to Karamana Town for supplies. I'm running low on them and I need to ready myself for the next fight I'm dragged into, it's why I left that skirmish back there. Do you know any of those guys?"

"Yeah, the guy with the swords is new to me. The guy with wings is Derek Grant. He's a popular super hero in Jump City. Before he was popular, he was seen as a killer, so they called him Hell's Angel. Now, he's known as Avenging Archangel." He paused for a second. "So, anything on the killer recently? Or no? Derek is really smart. He could probably help with that. And I'm also going to Karamana Town. I'm looking for somebody there."

"That's cool," Fusion said. "I don't need that guy's help, besides, he attacked me for no good reason, what kind of hero does that?" He stopped at the front gate of Karamana Town and placed his Yoshi back down. He started to walk in but then turned to Cortez and said, "I haven't found anything new on him yet, but I'm hoping to find clues here. One of my many sources revealed to me that the killer comes around here once every two years or something. So something's in this town." He turned and walked into the town with Yoshi at his side.

Cortez followed Fusion into the town. "Fusion, just to tell you, Derek has an affiliation with the Teen Titans, earned the respect of all Gotham City heroes, and he might be the smartest human on the planet right now. And did I forget that the Avengers called for his assistance over 13 times? And he attacked you because he wanted training. He's not the best person around strangers. But, what can you expect out of a clone of both Peter Parker and Bruce Banner?" He paused for a few seconds. "Does the name Liz Morgan sound familiar to you?" he asked Fusion.

Fusion absorbed the message from everything Cortez said. "Well he sure sounds like a swell guy. If the dude wanted training, he should have flown down to me and said, 'Hey man, my name is Derek. Do you want to spar with me for training?' I may have obliged then, but not now." He paused. "How is someone a clone of two people? And no, never heard of a Liz Morgan."

"Um... Derek kinda grew up in a test tube. He usually doesn't like to talk to people unless he's comfortable around them. Once you become his friend, he'll probably do that." After a few seconds, he said, "Derek was the first successful experiment for a lab-created Super Soldier. He was created by Yakunan. He was created by making a body with both Peter Parker and Bruce Banner's DNA. He never told me where the wings came from, but that's how he's a clone of two people. And he has blonde hair because he dyed it." He then started looking around. "Do you know anybody in this town that could help me find Liz Morgan?"

"Try the tavern, isn't that where people go to find information in role-playing games?" Fusion said to Cortez. "It was nice seeing you Cortez, but I need to go to the general store here." Fusion left Cortez and went into the store to find many useful things. He loaded some Ice flowers, Rock Mushrooms, Tanuki Suits, and other various power-ups into his cart as well as food, water, and different fruits for Yoshi. He loaded his hoard onto the counter and asked how much it was. The cashier totaled it up and said, "That will be 1000 gold sir." Fusion opened his wallet and started tearing up. So much for picking up girls tonight.

"Fusion, last time you told me to go to the tavern, I ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom," Cortez muttered to himself. Cortez decided to start looking around. After asking four people about Liz Morgan, he decided to start looking around so he didn't seem too much like a stalker. Eventually, he noticed that Zugaikotsu has become blunt, so he decided to look for the nearest Blacksmith in the area. He noticed it was actually in the General Store. Who puts a blacksmith in the General Store? That's the worst idea ever. You can't have somebody that makes weapons work in a store with some of the most convenient items! While Zugaikotsu was getting sharpened, Cortez heard gossiping about a mutant in town. He turned back to the blacksmith and asked, "Would you happen to know where Liz Morgan is?"

[Ultimate Assassin Ninjew]

As the fissure came, Sven jumped to the side while watching the winged man at the same time. in case the ground nera his foot caved in, he made sure to be a few more feet away. "Is this all you have to show. A little crack in the ground," he asked him, "If this is it, then you are no match for me." He blinked once and crossed his arms. Then leaned back a bit. "I might even let you land a hit to see how much power you have," he stated.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero has switched to his humanoid state, and was annoyed to find that Donovyn was walking off. That's cheating! How did he manage to survive an explosion with pure chaotic energies as its source! I know he has control over the air, but that has nothing to do with air for craps sake! He then noticed that two others were fighting and walked over. After Sven had jumped back, he pounded his foot on the ground and caused the earth to rise up around both of them so as to encase them. "Okay morons, who are you, why are you fighting, and why are you being so casual about it? Or is this supposed to be a sparring match?"

Derek used his Old Power to throw the casing away. "You don't try to attack somebody with Old Power with Earth." Jeez, what's with these people? And why is he interrogating me all of a sudden? "I have absolutely no idea what he thinks, but this is supposed to be a sparring match." After saying that, he used more Old Power to increase his strength, as he dashed at the younger person with the whole in his body, and put his powers into his left hand. As he punched him in the left arm, it fell off because of his powers.

Age: 14

Personality: She tends to stay shy around people unless they start acting friendly. If that happens, she's friendly and energetic. She's enthusiastic, kind, and thinks that her powers were given to her in order to protect those that are dear to her. She does not believe in killing.

Appearance: [spoiler=Appearance]She has long blonde hair that she normally keeps loose. On special occasions or when she feels angry, it turns red. She has green eyes that most people find attractive. She tends to be wearing pink shirts and jeans, and always keeps a grey-blue ring on her left hand. She likes wearing flip-flops or sandals, even when it's winter. And she almost never wears make-up. Her costume is similar to Starfire's, but instead of green, it's red, and the suit is only Red and Cyan.

 

Powers: [spoiler=Powers]She's extremely strong and acrobatic. She has the ability to shoot green starbolts from her hand. She also has the ability to change into her costume by morphing the chemical structure of it. The process takes a split second. She can also set her whole body ablaze and can shoot fire blasts. She has laser eyes, and can fly with and without her flame. She can sense energy and sometimes emotions, and is extremely talented at using small blades as weapons.

 

Bio: [spoiler=Bio]Liz Morgan was born in a small family in Karamana town. She excelled in all of her classes, but amazed her Physical Education teachers the most. When she was 10, she accidentally fired a starbolt at one of the bullies. The rest of the school began to beat her, bully her, and ignore her because she was a mutant. Her family and the teachers continued to support her, but her life began to become a mess.

 

Many parents complained about having a mutant in the same school as her kids. The FBI eventually came to school to investigate a criminal in the area, but it was actually just an attempt of a parent to get Liz out of the school. After hundreds of complaints and votes about kicking her out of the school, the principle quit and the older teachers retired. Liz exploded under the pressure she was taking and lost control of her powers for a while.

 

After she resumed control of her powers, Liz tried to train on her own to regain control. During one of her training sessions, Yakunan killed her family. This barely helped Liz with her life. She was working for money, training to control her powers, and going to school at the same time. Eventually, she decided to become a costume hero... somewhat. She would work for hire and be more like a bounty hunter than a hero. However, she temporarily stopped after she almost killed somebody.

 

She now works with the blacksmith in Karamana town and knows how to control her powers. Recently, Cortez spoke to her about joining his team. Liz refused at first, saying that she has too much happening in her life because she was a mutant. Cortez comforted her, saying that she was actually quite attractive, and then Liz admitted she would have a crush on Cortez if he was human. Liz joined the team, and is currently getting ready to travel to Avalon.

Donovyn stretched out his shoulders. "Man. I've never had to control the air for that long or that many times. Looks like I'm gonna have to work on that." he exhaled slowly. He slowly and gracefully moved his arms, till they were stretched out, palms facing outward. He slowly exhaled again, then inhaled just as slowly. He moved both palms to cover his chest, left under right. He thrust both arms outward, causing a a burst of wind to shoot forth in front of him. "Heh, enough to move the branches of the trees." he stretched his shoulders again. "Best to lay off it for now, though."

As the earth rose, Sven put his hand next to it and using a small amount of force broke through it. Though this force was actually a lot compared to normal people, to him it was only a little bit. "I'm here to test how you beings fight. This place is not like where I'm from," he began until he saw Derek come at him. As the punch came, Sven moved slightly to the side, enough to dodge the punch, but not enough to be noticed immediately. Then his left hand jutted up, catching Derek's arm while his right hand was placed onto Derek's left abdominal. In one quick motion, using Derek's momentum, he threw Derek 20 meters away behind him. He turned to where he threw Derek and spit into the ground. "That's child's play. Fight me for real," he said. He kept his eye on the other opponent, making sure not to be caught off guard for no reason.

So, a direct attack might not work, huh? That might make this a bit more difficult, but I won't give up too easily. And besides, I won't die, right? Ah well. Derek called forth his Old Power yet again. This time, he also started running his power into his left hand. He lifted a big piece of earth above the ground, and left it above his opponent. Derek flew on top of that piece of Earth, and used his split the rock into many different pieces. They rained down around Sven, and during that barrage, he used his power to make another fissure in the ground. I'd like to see how he gets out of this one. I get caught every time.

Fusion payed for the supplies and went over to the blacksmith. He was surprised to see Cortez there and asked, "Hey, what are you doing here?" But before Cortez could reply, Fusion interjected to the blacksmith and asked, "Hey man, I'm Fusion X. Denver, do you have any hammers on you?" The blacksmith looked at Fusion with a puzzled look, but then said, "Actually, I do have 1 Ultra Hammer here," "Sweet, I'll take it." The blacksmith replied, "I noticed you ran out of gold over there, what will you give me for this?" "How about my Yoshi?" Fusion asked. "Sold." Fusion walked out with the Ultra Hammer, gave his Yoshi to the blacksmith, and the blacksmith continued his conversation with Cortez.

The blacksmith asked Liz to get the Ultra Hammer that was left. Wow. It was FINALLY sold after 2 years. Who would buy hammers anyway? It's kinda funny to think about. Liz gave the Ultra Hammer to the blacksmith, and he said, "Thanks, Ms. Morgan." As Fusion walked away, Cortez looked confused and startled at the same time. "Are you Liz Morgan, by any chance?" "Yep." "Oh. OK. So, how are you?" "I'm good. Why are you looking for me?" Liz asked shyly. "I'm actually thinking, I'm organizing a team, do you want to be part of it?" "Um... I would, except..." Liz went on to explain the whole thing about what is going on in her life and how she hates herself. After she finishes, Cortez asked, "Why do you think of yourself that way? You look quite beautiful." Liz blushed and said, "Uh... thanks. Actually, if you're human, then I would probably have a crush on you. So, is that spot still open?" Cortez blushed more than Liz and replied, "Yup. It is. Did you change your mind that fast?" "Pretty much." "OK." He did the same item procedure as he did with Derek. "So, I'm off. See ya!" "Bye." Cortez dashed and caught up with Fusion. "Nice hammer."

"Thanks, looks like that thing with the girl went well." Fusion said to Cortez. "Cute too," as he looked back at her without being obvious about it. Before Cortez could yell at him, Fusion said, "Anyway, this hammer should be put to good use, although I could have used my old one if someone didn't break it." He twirled it in his fingers and said, "I need money though, I think I'll give bounty hunting a try." He took out a Wanted poster and showed Cortez a picture of a teenager. "His name's Tenkai Kurayami, 'The Sneaking Shadow'. supposedly this kid uses shadows for minor crimes, but he hasn't done anything too dangerous that we know of. So I'm gonna try and find him first to start off easy."

He watched as a man traded an animal, albeit a very strange looking animal, for a hammer, albeit not a normal hammer, he could tell simply by looking at it. "Well, this just won't do," he thought. "I'm thinking I should do something about that." He walked up to the blacksmith and told them about something that required their attention across town. He was obviously asked why a messenger was in use. "It's not the kind of thing that can be easily transported." When he was left alone, he fetched the animal. He lead the creature around a building, and down a parallel road to the travelers. He mounted the creature, and rode at a brisk pace. A ways down, when he was confident that he was on their course, but out of eye shot, he tied the creature to a signpost, using a loose knot and rope around its neck like a leash. Just to be sure the owner found the beast, he sent up a fireball jutsu as a flare, then hid himself behind a building.

Tenkai Kurayami, sporting his normal black attire and frown, stood on the outskirts of Karamana Town.

Unbelievable, Tenkai thought, That I just made it to this place. My plan was to be here weeks ago, when the latest shipment of supplies came in!

He began to walk towards the town slowly, as he had done many times before in his life. His plan for stealling things was simple: Enter the town casually, drawing no attention to himself, aside from the glances of idiots who wondered why this newcomer was so negative looking, and raid the closest store or wealthy family he found. It wasn't that hard, really. His power allowed him to have the advantage of suprise attacks, for any shadow on the ground was under his command. An unknowing person would never suspect the shadow of his table would cut his arm off.

"Such idiots that this world contains," Tenkai mumbled, "You'd think by now I'd be more famous for killing the rich. Well, maybe I'll make my full debut today. Hehehe.... today might just be the day.... I slaughter everyone in Karamana Town, and let the world know I'm not just a theif."
