[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero's Dark form didn't even try moving. It didn't need to, and simply waited for Cortez to be so close that he could not possibly escape. In that momen, without so much as moving, Shadow Zero's dark form unleashed a Chaos Blast, not even needing to charge in order for it to be fully powered. There was no way that Cortez would be able to escape as he was using a homing attack at the time, and as he gets hit Shadow Zero's dark form turned to look at him and said "And you said that I was a faker? I think you're the fake around here. You're comparing yourself to me? HAH! You're not even good enough to be my fake!"

 

Shadow Zero was starting to get the upper hand against his darker self. He had found ways to get in under his guard, and this pissed his darker self off to no end. Deciding that playtime was over, his darker self went through several transformations until he was completely black except for its eyes, which were a complete white in color. It then moved to deal the finishing blow, when suddenly Shadow Zero was surrounded by the Lights of Chaos, which erected a barrier that his darker self could not get past. "Sorry, but this ends here."

[BlackSkullCortez]

Cortez used a Sonic Boost so he would be able to keep himself in the same position as before. "I wasn't saying that you were MY fake. I said that you were a fake version of yourself!" The Sonic Boost ended before the Chaos Blast, so Cortez had to change his plans a bit. He got thrown back, but he started spinning in the air as he got a Cyan Color. "Alright, Shadow, insert innuendo here!" Cortez used his Cyan Laser attack, which allowed him to turn into a beam of light that hit just as hard as his Speed Break at the speed of light. Cortez dashed directly at Shadow, and as soon as they made contact, Cortez had a glimpse of Shadow's inner mind and the fight taking place. Just as Cortez ricocheted onto the wall, he said, "Well then, I managed to hit you and fend off 1 of your attacks. Now why was I not good enough to be your fake?"

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero's dark form didn't respond, merely fired of a blast more powerful then that which had been generated by Ix in the past of which was now being changed by the current events of the past future. In addition to this, he was still using Chaos Blast whose range was growing ever wider, and it was only due to the fact that the Biolizards were using their energy to shield the tribe that they were able to still survive, although it was not entirely clear how long that would last. Suddenly, Shadow Zero's dark form froze, and the Chaos Blast ended, although it was quite clear that he was still trying to move, and couldn't understand what had happened.

 

Shadow Zero absorbed the Seven Lights of Chaos and took on a form similar to that of his darker self, except that it was golden in color. "This ends now!" Shadow Zero suddenly disappeared and then reappeared behind his darker self and placed a hand on its shoulder. In that moment, his darker form started to vanish from the feet upwards. It's final words were "Well, this is frustrating. I guess I have no choice but to submit to your superior resolve and determination. Just make sure that you don't let the darkness consume you!" With that, Shadow Zero's darker self seemed to have disappeared, although he knew better, and that his darker self had simply returned to being a part of him as before.

 

In the moment that Shadow Zero won his internal struggle, he returned to his original form, except that he was flashing several different colors at once, and the Lights of Order and Chaos were all white as they reappeared, the seven Lights of Chaos slowly circling around him as he stood on the Light of Order. The Light of order returned to its central pedestal with Shadow Zero riding atop it and the Seven Lights of Chaos returned to their pedestals as well. Shadow Zero jumped down from the Light of Order as it turned back to its original color along with the Lights of Chaos and Shadow Zero himself stopped being an evershifting mass of multicolored hedgehog. With that, he looked at his tribe, his tribe that he knew would still be in existence and thriving when he returned to his own time and said "The ritual has been concluded!" The Ranmyaku Tribe erupted in cheers, and Ranmyaku himself breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that his tribe had survived this test.

Cortez smiled at Shadow and ran up to pat him on the back. "Great job. Didn't really expect you would be able to change history. Sorry about hitting you in the stomach during the ritual." Although, something was missing. Cortez looked around, and saw that everything was stopping around him. He couldn't move, for some strange reason, as everything else came back to normal. He felt tense on his arms, and he heard Uhu say, "Remember what your final task is." Cortez thought to himself, Shadow and I could just recreate what we did before, but that would kill everybody here. But... I still learned that... Cortez said, "Shadow, ready to go back to the present?"

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero nodded and said "Yeah, I just need to get the four Lights of Chaos from our time and everything will be ready. And don't worry about what we're doing hurting anyone, it won't. If it did, then your friends back in our time would have been killed. That's why I specifically modified the blast that brought us here so that it would only cause your aura field to pop. Uh, speaking of, you should probably form another one now and go into the mode that you were in the last time, I think it's part of the process." As he finished speaking Shadow Zero summoned the four Lights of Chaos from his time. Now that they were there, almost everything was ready for the return trip.

[BlackSkullCortez]

Cortez said, "Nah. I have a plan that makes us both get back to the present. I'll just be a bit behind you." Cortez saw Shadow glare at him, so he immediately put up the field and went into his Darkspines LV6. "Well, there IS something I should tell you once we get to the present. It's just not best to say it here." Cortez drew his sword and started channeling his powers into it. "Ready, Shadow?" Cortez was excited to get back to his day, his friends, and his world. But he did not know what waited for him there.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero knew what Cortez was about, and also knew that there was someone, another avatar, if that was right, whose sole job was to make sure that history never changed. Shadow Zero cared not for this, and usually would not mind, but he would not let his people be killed a second time. Without saying a word Shadow Zero suddenly absorbed the four Lights of Chaos and reentered his level four super mode. A the same time, reached out and grabbed Cortez by the throat, speaking so that only he could hear. "I don't care about whether or not history is supposed to remain the same in the view of some, I won't let my people die a second time, and I won't allow anyone to do anything that could harm them, even you. This is going to be risky with only four lights of Chaos, but I have no choice but to use Chaos Control." Shadow Zero then surrounded himself and Cortez with a bubble of chaotic energy so that Cortez wouldn't try to do anything to effect when or where they would land should it come to mind, and then used Chaos Control to open a portal to their own time where they belonged. Shadow Zero was going to make sure that his tribe survived, even if he had to fight to the death to make sure of it.

Ze'borova was taken a back by the blast, but it meant little to him, just a change of tactics. As he was headed for the tree, he landed on it and with enough force, he tore it down and was near enough to Bando. "That was rather interesting." He looked at Go, and wondered what tricks they really would be up to. "My reiatsu serves a different purpose than most others. Normally, it is used for attacks. Mineis used to enhance what my lightning does. This technique is relatively unique and only available through training with my Zanpaktou. Anyways, I tell you this so that your distracted long enough to not notice what I'm doing." The Ze'borova that was blown back had set up a field of electrical sphere. "Douken Sphere: Net." Cortez was exactly in the center so he wasn't close enough to get hit by the sphere's effect. But it was enough to allow him for his next move. "This isn't something I tend to do with my opponents...at all I've actually only done this a few hundred times." Ze'borova spoke as if he was born eons ago but looked as if he was 23 or 25. Ze'borova's hand shone as electricity formed in his open palms. He shot a ball out at Bando. Then he disappeared from Bando's field of vision, moving incredibly fast so that he couldn't be seen. He was wasting energy, but he didn't want to use that. It'd be too easy. As he moved, Ze'borova shot out 5 more balls of electricity. The were coming at him from four sides and above and below him. As this attack was happening, Raikou looked at the dragon which was pulled away from him somehow. He was rarely interrupted while the sort of things were happening, but he didn't appreciate it. The wolf opened his mouth and let loose a gigantic howl as a wave of heat began to set things near him a blaze. The spsirt then made a beam of electrical energy and shot it off where the dragon was, making sure too keep him away from the other battle, though Ze'b had already done a good enough job of this.

[El Make]

Tenkai and Yurusu closed in on Joseph and Black's area, steadily increasing his shadow's speed. He turned to his partner, slapping his face to get his attention.

"OW! What the hell was that-"

"Oh shut up. If you can't even take that like a man, go home now!" Tenkai yelled over the wind, "We'll be near them soon, so any information you can give me would be pretty helpful."

"Well, now they seem to have... disappeared." Yurusu said, shrugging, "I can faintly sense them but other than that... it's like there's this wall protecting them, with only a small gap letting their power flow out for me to follow!" Tenkai looked away from Yurusu, staring off into the area his targets were. After a while, he looked back at the shinigami, halting the shadows they rode to a complete stop.

"Then they've obviously sensed our presence," Tenkai mumbled, "and are trying to conceal themselves. Though, from what you're saying, it sounds like they know what they're doing! So here's what we're going to do: We arrive in the area, pretending not to notice that one whisp of power, looking around pointlessly until they reveal themselves. More than likely they'll attack secretly, trying not to gain our attention. So when they come out, they won't be expecting us to whip around and bash them."

"Okay, you have a point. But it's not like Jazeth to hide... oh, yeah... I forgot this might be his good side or something. Haha," Yurusu said as Tenkai launched them once again towards Black and Joseph. Soon enough, they landed near the opening in the garganta, pretending not to notice. Taking the plan into action, Tenkai and Yurusu walked around seeming to look for Black and Joseph, all the time trying to sense if they came out yet.

[Ultimate Assassin Ninjew]

As Fusion came up into the air, Azera flew towards him. Direct aerial combat was a Dragon's specialty. As Fusion went under him and blasted him with fire, Azera contorted his body and released a massive amount of fire from his mouth into the blast. However he could keep up the continuous stream unlike Fusion's simple blast. Azera's flames burst through Fusion's in a matter of a second from just the amount. The time it took to charge his attack was enough for him to be struck by the fire. Once Azera was sure Fusion was hit he stopped releasing the fire. "You need to work on fighting a Dragon. If you cannot simply beat me, you'll never stand up to Kisune," Azera taunted. The fire would do plenty of damage and would distract Fusion as well. He was so sure of himself, that he flew down ontop of a building, crushing it. Then he changed back into his normal armored form and brought his blades back out. "I'll beat you without using my Dragon form. Your no longer worth it," he claimed.

[BlackSkullCortez]

Cortez managed to say what he was trying to tell Shadow when they got back to their own time. He told Shadow in a voice so only Shadow could hear him, "It's too late for that. You already created the seven Chaos Emeralds. That, in the end, has decided the fate of you tribe. In the future, a battle will break out for the Chaos Emeralds, and the Master Emerald will be created. Chaos, the God of Destruction, will then become mature, and eventually use the Chaos Emeralds to become Perfect Chaos. This will kill of Pachacamac and Ranmyaku and possibly Nocturns, but only one sole survivor will be waiting. In the meantime, you stand here, grabbing me by the throat, as if that will change anything to save your clan. But is that really your clan? You haven't discovered them until you pursued me in the temple. And they expected you to arrive. They have been using you more than you claim you posses them. As much as you don't want to believe it, people like you and me, those who can control unlimited power, are used as tools. This bends the world, since when they break free, they wreck havoc onto the whole universe. Some people were never kept as tools because they are necessary. That's what the Seven Avatars do. Each one of us was given a specific task that I cannot reveal to you because of your power. But for history, we usually just sit back and relax. The course of history was already predetermined. Even if you try, you can't stop the dinosaurs from going extinct." Cortez swiped back Shadow's arm and was about to leap into the portal. Just before that, he turned and said, "If you want your clan to live, you can stay back and give Perfect Chaos 4 more Chaos Emeralds." With those words, Cortez jumped into the portal, starting a trip to his own time. Funny. Just like the first Shadow, his head is stuck in the past.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero couldn't say that he cared for Cortez's words, and he refused to believe that they would be wiped out. At that moment, the blue hedgehog from before walked up to him and said, Perfect Chaos huh? Sounds like that's going to be one hell of a party!" Shadow Zero simply smiled and said "Yeah, I guess so." He then turned more serious and said "If that happens, you must defeat him. If not, then at least make sure that our tribe survives." Shadow Zero then turned and jumped into the portal, ready to face whatever lies ahead back in his own time."

 

((I will be making a new updated app for my character soon. The reasoning for this is discovering his true name and true form due to the Ritual of Prosperity. Also, there may be some changes to his power structure.))

Cortez managed to turn himself off the original exit of the portal, and used his Soul Energy to create a new portal. This time, he was outside the ruins. When he landed outside, there were not changes. He picked up a rock from the rubble, this time it was destroyed from Water Damage. "Heh. Guess I was right!" His ear twitched as he heard a noise in the distance. It sounded like it came from Kirigakure, so that's where he ran. He ditched his Darkspines Mode in the process, so he was running on ground. He sent a message through the pendulum. It wasn't really too complex, and it didn't really say much to him. All it said was [i'M BACK]. Cortez managed to pass a dragon and Derek and Liz ahead of them. He ran backwards in front of them. "Hey, was there a party in Kougakure while I was gone?" Derek explained everything to Cortez, and Cortez suddenly became serious. He used his Soul Energy to activate a Chaos Punishment as he teleported to Kirigakure. Fusion, just wait for me.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero appeared in the central chamber of the Ranmyaku Temple as he returned. To his dismay, it was the exact same as it had been before. He wondered what it all meant, and if there really was nothing that could have been done to save his tribe when he heard someone walking up behind him. He turned to see another blue hedgehog, just like the one he had told to protect the clanm "Come with me." was all he said before turning and walking away. Curious as to what6 was going on, and hoping that this might lead to something that would mean that his clan had somehow survived despite Cortez's words, Shadow Zero followed after the blue hedgehog.

OOC: Piercing Thunderhand is the Thunderhand focused in my hand for precision-striking, I'll update my attack list soon

Right before the wave of fire hit Fusion, he let out a huge fireball that burst him away from it and off to the side. He landed on the ground and heard Azera's words as he turned to normal. Fusion didn't say anything, but he actually felt relieved. "You and Kisune are certainly different. I thought you'd be stronger considering you're the King of Hell, but just like a tyrannical king, you have a glaring weakness." Looking down on others and flaunting your arrogance will only get you killed. Such is the fate of those who seek destruction. Fusion gave a quick checkup on his body. I'm not in bad shape I suppose, still got plenty of energy left, I guess my maximum amount has increased with all the fights I've been getting into. Fusion activated a Thunderhand in his right hand and turned to Chisoku Fusion. With a burst, he ran near Azera and then around him in circles. As he ran, he dug his Thunderhand into the ground, forming a ring of electricity. He ran closer and closer to where Azera was. Now! Fusion stopped running, activated Shokyoku Mode and used Negative Zone to encompass the entire "ring" he had made, then he charged right into Azera driving his Piercing Thunderhand toward Azera's chest.

[Ultimate Assassin Ninjew]

"Weakness you say. You are the weak one Fusion. You will die at my hand!" Azera yelled. As Fusion came at him, he fused his swords at their hilts and began spinning it in a circle. "I'll be taking you into hell," he called out. A small vortex began forming where the hilts were joined. It was a small opening to hell and with each spin it got bigger and the vortex got stronger. The longer Fusion ran, the worse it got and everytime Fusion would pass in front of him, he would have a brief period of getting closer to the hole. When Fusion activated his Negative Zone, Azera's senses dimmed and his hands got caught up in the spinning. The double blade stabbe dinto the ground next to Azera. The opening to hell was still pretty large, but it wasn't big enough to encompass very much of a person. Then Azera felt a piercing feeling in his chest and a shock of electricity. So you have struck him have oyu. Well I will return with more reinforcements. In a blast of fire and ash, Azera disappeared. Fusion would be left with burns from being up close to him. Azera wasn't dead and in fact couldn't die since he was actually already dead. The fire and ash that was expelled was him being sucked into Hell, but not through his own portal, but through a special one inside his body that was made to bring him to hell in case of a fatal wound. For now, Azera wouldn't be back for a while. Hopefully long enough that the Dragon Lords would fall and he would have no need to return. Engraved in the ground where Azera was struck was written: I'll be back and you'll be dead. ~Azera.

Cortez managed to stop his teleportation before the explosion. Just as he saw it exploding, Cortez used his momentum to dash at Fusion, who was still engulfed. Fusion wasn't fully impacted by the explosion: Cortez managed to grab onto him and take him out of there at the last millisecond, taking the the impact instead. Since Cortez had a Fire Soul, it had less effect on him than it would have on any regular person. Cortez leapt forward with Fusion in his arms. "This isn't awkward. Didja miss me, bro?" Cortez set down Fusion. He looked at the message and said, "So, you temporarily incapacitated a Dragon Lord. Nice. Derek told me anything, by the way." Cortez continued, "Everybody will be here in a couple of minutes, probably."

[Fusion X. Denver]

Fusion lay there on the ground panting, not believing what had just happened. "Cortez? You're back?" he paused for a second and began laughing uncontrollably. He felt so joyous, relieved and somewhat insane of the past few minutes. He had defeated a Dragon Lord, sort of, and Cortez was back. Life was good. Suddenly Fusion felt paralyzed and couldn't move. "Hey buddy, I think I need some medical attention. Mind taking me to the hospital?" After he said that, Fusion saw the message in the ground. "So I made enemies with the King of Hell, have I? Well, I won't die until I accomplish my life's goals and live to the fullest. When you do return Azera, I'll be waiting." He then blacked out thinking, "What now?"

Cortez observed Fusion. Based on his injuries and from the impact, Fusion REALLY needed medical attention. Cortez picked up Fusion. "I'll do it, Fusion." Cortez dashed into the hospital, and sent a pendulum message about it to Derek and Liz about their new location. He dashed into the hospital, screaming, "This man needs medical attention, now! And now means now!" When the doctors rushed to him, they recognized him and asked why Cortez was carrying him, and threatened to report Cortez. Cortez drew his sword and said, "I'm one of the Sacred Knights of the Round Table: Cortez, the Knight of the Wind. And if you didn't know, this man just saved your town from the Dragon Lords." The doctors decided not to report Cortez for two reasons: they were relieved the Dragon Lord was defeated, and they didn't want to mess with the Knight of the Wind. They rushed to the emergency room and treated Fusion.

[Fusion X. Denver]

A few hours later...

Fusion stirred in his bed and opened his eyes to see Cortez. "Hey buddy, what's up?" his chest constricted and he started coughing. He listened to how Cortez got him into the hospital and he said, "Maybe my criminal status won't be too bad then. But 1 Dragon Lord is down, that's good. The one problem is he isn't dead. Rather, he's undead, meaning he could return one day. We gotta be ready before then, but right now we have two Dragon Lords to contend with. One of them is Kisune, the man who almost killed me that day...I was lucky you had my back, I almost died." Fusion placed a hand on his chest. "These Dragon Lords are no joke. And from what Azera said, it sounds as though Kisune is stronger than him. I have a feeling I'll fight him again, I have to get stronger." Fusion thought of the Hekikyuzo, and its incompleteness. He could always use that strategy to do it, but he thought it'd be better if he had a Yoshi as a fighting partner, like Bando and his dragon. "Cortez, I need a Yoshi, know where I can get a special one that will be able to keep up with my lifestyle? And hey, where's Go?"

[BlackSkullCortez]

Cortez nodded, "Yeah. I learned a few new tricks from a long lost spirit that I reawakened. And as a matter of fact, there is somebody I know that can help you. He treats out all kinds of pets. This includes horses, baby dragons, sharks, and Yoshis. He is only about five minutes from here leisurely walking. I think you should take it easy for a while after that fight, so I'll inform Derek to tell Go about where everybody's going. And Go should be on his way here." Cortez sent the pendulum message to Derek, and helped up Fusion. "You up for a five minute walk?" Finally, I get to meet the Avatar of the seas.

 

Derek got the message, and turned back to fly to Go. He avoided the battle to say to him, "Cortez said that Fusion beat the Dragon Lord, and is heading towards a pet shop five minutes from Kougakure. He wants you to come with us."

[Fusion X. Denver]

OOC: We're in Kougakure Cortez

"Okay man, sounds good," Fusion said with a weak smile. He leaned on Cortez's shoulders and slowly walked out. Then he remembered he was in a gown and quickly put on some pants. As he and Cortez walked through the town, people were staring at Fusion. Some looked fearful, as Fusion was a criminal, but others looked happy, as he had saved the village for the present. Some girls even giggled as he walked by. "Cortez, I'm surprised you didn't force me to wear a shirt." he said as he realized he only wore jeans and sneakers. Then he looked up, "Is this it?"

 

Go heard the message from Derek in his mind. How are you doing that? Is it spider-telepathy or something stupid like that? He yelled out to Bando, "Oi Bando! Fusion won and Kougakure's safe! Listen, Derek is coming to get me and bring me back to Kougakure, meet us there when you're finished, alright?" Then he saw the angel and zipped his web line to his leg. "~Floating through the air with the greatest of ease!~" he sang as he hovered waiting to reunite with everyone at the village.

[Dranzer]

As Cortez and Fusion were talking Zeru entered the room with his chest being covvered in bandages."Hey so how's the hero of this town doing."Zeru said with a smirch."So I heard you defeated a Dragon Lord.That's impresive.Evenn tho I defeated one you get a croud of people buzzing to see you.Yeah my luck.By the way thanks for saving me I could have died back then,but I got my new weapon finaly ready.Oh yeah sorry for not bringing a get well card,but well I kinda can't use my arm to write."

"Oh hey Zeru, glad to see you're doing better! And yeah, those Dragon Lords sure know how to take a toll on us. The one problem though is that neither of them are dead. The one I fought is undead, he'll return sometime in the future. And I'm guessing you fought Kisune. That guy probably manipulated space to survive your move. It sucks, but we're partners now, so we'll be ready for the big fight." he said with a goofy grin. "I'm actually getting an animal partner to fight with, maybe you could get one? Cortez, is that alright?" he asked turning to him.

"Sorry Fusion,but I awredy have a parthner there names are Yon and Ni."Zeru said pointing at his guns."These were actualy the souls of my dead comrades traped inside a weapon form.It's a long story,but I don't want to tell it.BTW there are suppose to be Yoshi around.Mind if I come with you I kinda need to fix my acuransy with shooting practice.C'mon gather around with Cortez I'm making a field trip if you might say.Well something like that.It's a reward for you saving my life."
