Cortez dashed up to meet Shadow. He whispered to him, "Hey, don't worry. If I have the history from my bloodline correct, I'm soon going to be in a lot more trouble than you are." And he leapt towards the open. Hopping from rocks and pillars Cortez started running towards the open to meet a whole band of people that looked like him, and they forced him back with something Cortez was not expecting. Cortez landed just in front of the whole tribe, and the whole tribe looked to see Cortez, the pirates that looked like him, and an invasion of flying ships. Cortez said to the tribe, "This isn't what it looks like," and dashed up to Shadow. Cortez said to him, "Toldja. Can you help me fend them off, please? I have to go kill my technical grandmother." Cortez leapt up and noticed that he began to levitate in the air. "Wind Orb, huh?" he said as he managed to catch the wind and run on it until he reached the main ship. "Wow. I didn't know they had the leviathan ruins." he said as he ran through the fleet of ships, managing to leap from one to another, killing the pirates that tried to stop him.

"A cartwheeling idiot... you were more sane when I first met you." Tenkai grumbled as he began to stand up. While Fusion seemed to dance around like and idiot, Tenkai noticed a glint in the corner of his right eye. He turned quickly and arced up a shadow to block the incoming hammer.

"Interesting," Tenkai commented, his back turned to Fusion, "You can move things with your mind, or some weird energy that you have. Is this another one of your forms? Or is this just some lucky power you happened to stumbnle upon? Whatever it may be, you're going to have to rely on other skills to best me... Becasue, in this fight... the Curse Mark doesn't hurt me..." Tenkai whipped around and pointed at Fusion, the shadow with the hammer blasting off towards Fusion like a rocket.

He's inproved, that much is clear. But the thing is... so have I!

[Fusion X. Denver]

"As if I'd let my own weapon harm me." Fusion said as he grabbed the incoming hammer. "Shame you saw through me like that, but I can already tell this fight will be completely different than last time." Fusion infused the hammer with fire and his body's sweat started evaporating as steam. I wonder if this trick would work. It's certainly a novelty idea. Fusion threw the hammer at Tenkai once again, straight on. Next, he used telekinesis on the flames surrounding the hammer and directed them forward with quick speed, causing them to leave the hammer and come at Tenkai like a fire wave. That'll definitely distract him at least. Fusion then ran forward, grabbed his hammer, and threw it once again after infusing it with electricity.

"The hell!?" Tenkai watched as the flames left the hammer and shot at him with suprise. He swung his arm up, a shadow from a nearby tree swinging up to get rid of the flames. The fire disapated, allowing Tenkai to lower the shadow and drop his gaurd.

This guy... I remembered him being so much stronger last time... What happened? Tenkai's thoughts were cut off as the hammer hit him square in the chest, knocking the breath out of him and running electricity through his body. He was flung back, crashing hard against a tree, and landing facedown on the ground.

Hehehe... now that's the Fusion I remember... Quick to think, unusual plans. Except, this time, his attack nearly stopped my heart! I guess this means no more playing around. From here on out... We play for keeps! Tenkai slowly began to stand, stopping and kneeling on one knee. The flame patterns on his face began to glow orange and red, yet didn't grow or diminish. The katana he had left behind, now with Fusion's back turned to it, began to draw shadows into it. The blade became a line of black fire, searing the ground it was stuck in. Suddenly, the katana pulled itself into the air, soaring past Fusion's ears, making a hissing sound. Tenkai caught it by the hilt, holdig it with his left arm outstretched, kicking Fusion's hammer back to him.

"I have my weapon," Tenkai said standing, "You have yours. Now, we fight!"

[Fusion X. Denver]

"So we shall." Fusion said picking his hammer up from the ground. He ran forward and within a yard's distance, he turned sideways in mid air. Wonder how this should work. Fusion blew a jet of fire from his left hand which propelled him right at Tenkai. He swung his hammer at Tenkai's skull. I predict he'll just use a shadow to block that. But now I'll have him cornered. When Fusion felt his hammer make an impact, he turned his body to Tenkai and burst out a kiai. Tenkai was sent flying back into a tree and Fusion landed. I moved too quickly, did he counter my hammer or no? Either way, he should be momentarily stunned right now.

Amidst the rubble Fusion had created with the tree, stood a silhoutte of Tenkai, holding his katana in his left his. The black figure began to slide along the ground, gaining ground on Fusion at high pace. When within roughly 10 feet of his target, Tenkai began punching the air with his right arm, sending blast of shadows towards Fusion and different angles. With each burst of shadows, more came to take their place.

Now, with him going for those... Let's make this sword actually worth something! Tenkai began to curve around Fusion, flying past the shadow blasts and coming parallel with Fusion. He snapped towards him, switching his sword from his left hand to his right, leaning close to the ground. As he closed in on Fusion, and with the shadow blasts near, he swung the blade of black fire at Fusion's feet and kept going.

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

Jazeth looked at the boy, the smoking aura from his mouth seemed to return, and as his opponent swung down he simply stood there. "Very good, the first strike is yours...but you form is terrible!" A sudden gust of wind hit the blades broadside and Jazeth moved so the strike would cut into his shoulder, once he was stuck hie eyes began to glow an ominous red color. "Excellent attack!" he praised sadistically as he opened his mouth and the Black flames shot forward like a sea of flowing magma towards Yurusu's close face, the heat that fell directly on the ground caused the earth to sizzle and melt, Jazeth had hoped for his opponent t take the first strike, it made it so much easier for his flames to hit a target right in front of his face.

 

In Josep's mind he could start sensing again, and the first thing he noticed were the dark flames being shot out. "dang it.....Jazeth....don't!" he could do nothing, in the construct of his mind he had been sealed in what seemed to be a prison made of bones, skulls acting as the edges. "what the hell kind of nightmarish scene did you steal this from Jazeth......" he had no response, Jazeth was to in tuned to this fight to care about Josep right now. "Crap....."

[Fusion X. Denver]

Fusion saw the incoming shadow blasts and got ready to jump to the left. He did so, but immediately saw Tenkai right next to him swinging at his feet. He quickly arched his body backward to dodge the sword, but he hit his head on the ground and went spinning out of control a couple feet away. Crap, my head's spinning. Snap out of it, he's coming. Fusion got up and turned to Chisoku Fusion. "Try countering this Kurayami!" Fusion rapidly spun so that in a few seconds, all one could see was a spinning green blur that began to gather dust. Soon, a tornado formed from the rapidly spinning dust around Fusion. Let's make this even more interesting. Fusion released fireballs as he span, within a few seconds, fireballs were flying out in all directions, setting whatever they hit aflame with green fire. The tornado also turned into a whirling inferno. This should give Kurayami some trouble. It's just a shame I can't see.

GAH! A fire tornado! Crap... I have about a few seconds to come up with a plan... THAT'S IT! Tenkai's thoughts erupted as he at last came up with an idea to stop Fusion's attack. Dragging himself as far away from the tornado as possible, Tenkai held himself up against the wind as long as possible, each milisecond more shadows forming onto his armor. He could no longer withstand the force, and lunged ahead, the wind from the tornado boosting his speed, yet making him veer to the right. Trying to stay on the same path, Tenkai held his sword now with both hands, and smashed into the tornado. The fire, dust, and wind smashed agaisnt his armor, cracking it and blowing away layers. Soon the armor completely came off in places, and the tornado violently ravaged those areas. At last, Tenkai broke through to the inside where Fusion was, yet his arms were cut and burned, and his body nearly all but bare of the shadow armor.

"Just gotta..." Tenkai said through his teeth as he raised his sword, "IGNORE THE PAIN!" And he brought down his sword hard on where Fusion was.

 

"Blast Spell Number 23!" Yurusu yelled as the flames came with in 3 inches of his face, sizzling his skin with intense heat. The area he was in exploded into a flash of white, and it was just enough to stop the flames from getting him. Now, his cheek red hot, he held his zanpakuto with both hands, bracing himself for Jazeth next demonic attack.

"Now, I've never seen some guy who could shoot fire from his mouth... you're one interesting fellow Jazeth."

[Fusion X. Denver]

By breaking through the tornado, Tenkai had successfully gotten through, and the backlash along with the sudden stop in motion caused Fusion to twirl onto the ground and stop. Crap, I am literally too dizzy in order to get my bearings. He then saw Tenkai yelling and lashing down at him with his sword. Several images flashed through Fusion's mind at that moment and he only had one thought at that split second. I am going to die. Before Tenkai was able to make contact however, Fusion concentrated all of his mental focus and connected his mind to Tenkai's. He felt an overwhelming evil and darkness but refused to give in. Fusion thought back to what Master Kenwei had told him. Telekinesis can control anything, but when a person was targeted, their clashing willpower would decide whether the target or the user would be controlled. I can't die, I have to find Cortez, I gotta avenge my brother and Go against that guy, I gotta protect everyone, I can't die- Fusion finished his thought by yelling to Tenkai, "I WON'T DIE!" The time span between Kurayami breaking through the inferno to that moment was two seconds. Either Fusion would repel Kurayami away from him, or he'd be overcome by his will and then get cut down.

Tenkai's mind felt like it was being beaten up. It felt as though someone was boxing it in, making it smaller and smaller, until the other power was the sole resident of him. Fighting against it, Tenkai began to push back the other force, but the stinging pain from the tornado left him too weak. He was at a disadvantage, only his sheer will to kill Fusion kept him there.

I must... kill... him.... yet, his will power for someone else is greater than my need to kill him... Damn! I can't... win... Tenkai's mind snapped, and he was sent flying back, skidding against the ground and losing his grip on his katana. The sword bounced away, the shadows it withheld earlier fading. The blade returned to normal, and it stopped about 5 yards away from Tenkai, who had finally stopped moving. The Curse Mark began to slowly crawl back to his neck, leaving him drained and hurt.

"Damn... to think even after that training I couldn't overpower his will... and that tornado took a hell of alot out of me. I can barely stand. Yet, Fusion still has more power left... Am I really this weak? It was all for nothing I guess..." Tenkai said to himself, yet the Curse Mark began to glow on his neck, "I'm not as good as I thought. He simply swept me aside. He just wants to save a friend, yet that alone could stop me! Why... why does everything just seem to work out for him? He always has a trick, a final move, something to beat me with!" By now, the Curse Mark was starting to cover his body, black flame patterns danced across him and a dark aura began to surround his body, "I just, can't win in my life! My best friend died when I was young, I watched my family waste away, and now, when I finally thought I was strong enough, I wasn't!" The flame patterns now covered every incho of his body, yet they still remained glowing. Now, the wind began to pick up, and the leaves on the trees began to fall one by one..

[Fusion X. Denver]

Fusion stood breathing heavily after successfully repelling Tenkai. I...I did it. I'm still alive. For now anyway. He looked to Tenkai who was beginning to transform. Those markings...they're spreading all over his body. I remember he did the same thing last time, except...now they're extending further, they're completely covering him! Fusion realized he was still in Chisoku form after all that had happened. "Kurayami...I don't know what happened in your past and it sounds tragic. I'm sorry for that, I lost my brother to a filthy murderer who has committed the same sin to others as well as me. I fully know where you come from, as I don't have any known family members left to me." He could sense Kurayami not caring what he had to say and continued, "We're similar in those respects, but do you know how we're different?" He then charged forward to launch an attack. "I have friends! I made them by helping others and by letting others help me! When you push everything away and commit villainy, you're just condemning yourself to a permanent hell! Kurayami!" Fusion brought up his right palm with a charged Thunderhand and thrust it forward at Tenkai's chest.

Fusion's attack was stopped by Tenkai, who simply grabbed his wrist and held it there. His eyes looked right at Fusion, and for a second, something other than hatred was put there: hope. But it all quickly vanished, and his grip on Fusion's wrist tightened, beginning to cut off his circulation.

"Losing you're brother must have been hard. But. Were you forced to sit around, staring at your family day and night, who didn't even have the willpower to move? Did you watch them waste away, while they gave YOU food and water, saving none for themselves? Did you watch, as your best friend was beaten to a pulp, and as you tried to protect him, you were beaten as well!?" Tenkai's grip tightened even more, "Did you have to live on your own, with absolutely nothing but powers you didn't understand? Powers you were afraid of!? Tell me, was the only way for you to SURVIVE to rob people so you could have just enough to remain alive!? Did you lie awake at night, because of a mark on your neck, that only gave you pain!? Until you have expirienced that, you don't know WHAT HELL IS!" Tenkai brought his other arm back, shadows infusing with his fist, and aimed a punch for Fusion's face.

[Fusion X. Denver]

"You.." Fusion muttered as Tenkai aimed a punch. He had turned to normal while Tenkai cut off his circulation in his wrist, but now he turned to Kyoja Fusion. "MY BROTHER DIED PROTECTING ME FOREVER BURDENING ME WITH GUILT OVER HIS DEATH! I got odd jobs to pay for food and shelter, I helped others for nothing in return, I even turned to bounty hunting to punish those who posed a threat to the weak and innocent. Don't preach at me thinking you're the only whose had to endure pain!" He head butted Tenkai's fist and pushed him back. "Everyone in this world has a special power. Whether it's controlling the wind, shadows, fire, magic or whatnot, it doesn't matter." He jumped up and slammed onto the ground causing a fissure aimed at Kurayami. "What matters is how you use them! And letting others help you! Using your powers for killing the innocent and for your own gain will only take you on the wrong path. It's called karma, damn it!"

[El Make]

Tenkai jumped out of the fissure's way, landing a few feet away from Fusion's right side.

"I don't care what happened to your brother. I don't care if I harm the innocent for my gain. I DON'T CARE if the weak die. All I care about is myself, and that's how I got to be who I am today. Strong and unwavering in my deciscions. I'm not some nice guy who will help out the poor, not even after being one of those helpless beggars. I do what I do now to keep myself on top. And for you're information," Tenkai said as he pointed at Fusion, and shadows began to collect there. The tip of his finger became black, and the Curse Mark yet again glowed but did not move.

"Karma's for losers." The blast that came from Tenkai's finger was one no one would expect. The blast arched 15 feet high, and 30 feet wide. The Curse Mark had given Tenkai great power, and that power made his shadow attacks insanely strong.

It's the path I've chosen Fusion X. Denver... I can't go back now.

[Fusion X. Denver]

Damn him! Fusion thought he'd be able to change Kurayami for the better, but could see he was beyond saving. He's my age and has had his whole lifetime to turn into who he is. How could anyone expect to change his reasoning with a few pretty words? "Fine, if you're that stubborn to stay evil, then I'll stop trying to win a fight I'll lose. However, I will stop you from causing others pain, I will protect the ones that you forsake!" In the span of a second, Fusion turned to normal and turned to Neo Fusion. The benefits of Neo Fusion outweighed the energy-draining aspect of it, because he was able to form a giant fireball within seconds. This won't be enough, but all I need is a small opening. He launched the fire in the form of a giant wave that only seemed half the size of Kurayami's attack. However, when it clashed, the shadow attack seemed to divulge for a second and the end result was the blast continued forward, but in it's middle was a path being forged by the fire wave. Fusion dug his feet in and blasted through behind his own attack while still outputting his flame, eventually making it through the blast and right in front of Kurayami. That took a lot of power, but his attack must have too! Now it's between physical strength! Fusion flew forward and headbutted Tenkai.

"You won't win like this.... not while I'm in this form... you need more than just strength... at this point Fusion!" Tenkai pulled back his right arm, the flame patterns covering him glowing bright red. For a second, the patterns seem to come together into one solid mass, making Tenkai's entire body glow the same color.

No, I can't afford to use the Stage 2 yet... but, I can use the beginning of its power! Tenkai let lose a bone crunching punch, sending Fusion away from him. The flame patterns returned to their normal place on his body, the glowing ceased. Tenkai's hand throbbed with pain after suffering such an impact with Fusion's head. But in the end, he had deflected the attack placed on him. Grasping the base of his neck where the Cursed Seal of Heaven resided, he began to wince.

Damn, I'm lucky I've survived this long with the Curse Mark full blown. If I don't end this quickly, the Curse Mark will kill me! Yet, if he refuses to give in... I have no choice but to activate Stage 2. I'll be completely wasted, but if it means winning, then I'm ready!

[Fusion X. Denver]

That strength! He actually deflected a straightforward attack from Neo Fusion! That form is dangerous. Fusion stood up and returned to normal. I can't afford to waste my energy like that again. It could cost me... Fusion kicked the tree behind him to cut it down and jumped behind it. He used telekinesis and sent if flying at Tenkai like a javelin. He also threw a fireball and immediately set it on fire. I WOULD use a flaming tree as an attack... Fusion then jumped up and soon, he and the tree were parallel to each other headed for Tenkai. Fusion landed on Tenkai's right-hand side a couple yards away from him. While he's distracted, it's time I readied the final blow. Fusion formed a fireball, but kept pouring heat into it instead of flame. Soon the fireball was of great intensity and had to be contained in both of Fusion's palms. He charged forward at Tenkai ready to hit him with his final risky play.

"Curse Mark Technique... Wall of Shadows!" Tenkai raised both of his arms, facing the buring tree flying at him. Shadows from within a 200 foot radius surged froward and collected in front of him, building higher, and higher until a 20 foot wall was put in place. The tree smashed into it, and simply stopped. It didn't break, or shatter, or even fall to the ground. It just held it's postition, high in the air and touching the wall. Tenkai let down his arms, and the barrier disapated, and so did the tree.

Huh? Where'd he go? That's when Tenkai noticed the burning heat in his side. He looked down to see Fusion's attack resting on his right arm, slowly burrowing into it, burning his living flesh. If he moved, it seemed as if the attack would rip his arm off. Yet, he wouldn't mind that at this rate. The pain was unbearable! Tenkai quickly flicked his hand, a shadow prodding up and striking the orb, and causing a detenation of heat like no other. Tenkai was thrown away from the area, his right arm simmering with heat. He crash landed against a tree, flying through it, and another, and finally another. In the end, he lay in the mangled branches of a tree, far away from Fusion, his right side of his body bumb with heat.

"Damn you to hell... Fusion..."

[Fusion X. Denver]

Fusion flew from the explosion several meters away. He was stopped by a cliff side and went through a yard or two of it. I didn't expect...it to backfire like that. I suppose I shouldn't have used a move such as that until I perfected it. I need to train my other abilities when this over... Fusion slowly crawled out of the hole his collision with the side of the cliff he made. "Kurayami...are you alive? Or what?" He slowly made his way over to where the explosion occurred. There was a mid-sized crater in the ground that still had smoke emitting from it. He walked over to where his hammer lay and picked it up. Then he sat down to catch his breath, waiting for any signs of Kurayami to appear.

Tenkai slowly got up from the wreckage, wincing everytime his muscles moved. Eventually though, he was able to stand, and limped back towards the explosion sight. As he reached the first tree he ran into, he noticed Fusion was still there. Walking out into the opening, Tenkai called out to him.

"So, you're still alive huh? Well, I'm pretty wiped... and you don't look so hot either. I can tell I won't be able to kill you today... which means my mission failed." Tenkai frowned, "But, that doesn't mean I have to die either. There's no way one of us is going down today, so I think I'll just leave..." Tenkai slowly walked over to where his katana was, a sense of failure washing over him.

I failed, but what of you Yurusu? I still sense a large power over in the direction you went off in... yet... I haven't felt it spike. Which means you're still not using your swords full power... interesting. Tenkai picked up his sword, sheathing it and turning to Fusion.

"If you have anything to preach to me, know's the time."

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero was quite surprised that the youth had hitched a ride, and knew that this was not going to lead to anything good. He immediately turned to the teenage youth and threw him off, causing him to fall towards the ground, both of them in their hedgehog forms. "Who are you, and why did you follow me here?!" Shadow Zero demanded. the teenage youth replied by making a face and then scowling at Shadow Zero as if the answer should be painfully obvious to him. Upon Shadow Zero silently waiting for the teenage youth to answer he stood regally and said "My name is Shadow, and I happen to be the prince of our tribe." Shadow Zero responded by saying "Your tribe, perhaps. I am from the future and have nothing to do with this." Shadow was surprised to hear Shadow Zero's proclamation of being from the future and was rendered momentarily speechless. Shadow Zero took this opportunity to say "I'm sending you back to where you came from." and do just that. Once Shadow was out of the way, he concentrated on the Light of Chaos in his hand and quickly located the other two Lights of Chaos by using the one he had as a medium. I have to find the other two before they fall into someone elses hands and change the course of history more then they already have. In a single instant, Shadow Zero was engulfed in a bright light and was gone once more.

[Fusion X. Denver]

Fusion glared at Tenkai, he could see the Tenkai's burning sense of defeat behind his eyes. Fusion tried turning into Neo Fusion, but his whole body spiked with pain. He couldn't do so for either Chisoku or Kyoja and he knelt down. "I have no energy left. I got careless and expended too much energy." He looked up at Tenkai and said, "You and I both know this won't be the last time we see each other. As long as we both continue down our respective paths, we're fated to cross again." He slowly got up and said, "Kurayami...if you keep going on like this, your name will become known throughout the world and then everyone will become your enemy. Stop now before you're recognized as an internationally wanted criminal." He sheathed his hammer as well, mustering all the energy he had to stand. "At the very least you shouldn't kill innocents. Even one murder done out of spite or for blood is unforgivable."

[El Make]

"You amaze me Fusion X. Dever," Tenkai said, his back turned to his enemy, "how even after all this time, you still think I would stop. I thought you came to realize I'm not turning back, that I won't turn good. Well, I'll tell you this: It's too late to try Fusion, it's just too late. Even if everyone in the world becomes my enemy, I'll just train harder until I can wipe them all out. If you think I can't, I'll let you in on a secret." Tenkai turned around to face Fusion, who seemed to be bearly standing, much like Tenkai himself.

"What you saw of this mark on my neck today, even with all that power coming from it... I wasn only using half of its potential. You see, so far I've only used Stage 1... the black flame patterns. But, I can let the Curse Mark envelope me, transforming me into a being with unimaginable power. But, it comes at a cost I can't afford at the moment." Tenkai laughed at the thought of not being able to utilize his power. For such great power he couldn't even use, it killed him. He swung his left around his body, yet a shadow didn't come to whisk him off. Instead, he collapsed, falling backwards into the rough grass.

"Damn... looks like barely even using Stage 2's power... did this to me... hehe... crap."

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

Jazeth stood there and smirked, he raised his hand to the sky and soon enough the rain began to fall even harder, but soon enough they started making a cracking sound in the ground, each time sounding more like shattered glass, the rain was beginning to freeze, by using the winds to cool the rain into Ice shards from the sky and aim them towards his opponent in a Machine gun-like fashion. "Now then, let's see you're evasive maneuvers...." the sharpened icicles at first seem to have no target but they seemed to gain more speed the closer they were to Yurusu. "Don't die on me here boy......this move is too basic...."

 

Josep could feel something else though, and if he was lucky he could direct Jazeth's senses towards the massive 3 energy signatures not too far away from there, their wickedness reminded him all too much of Jazeth himself, but whether or not it's a good or bad thing was unknown......
