When Derek slammed Go into the ground, the back of his shirt was torn and the ground shattered around the impact. When the dome was made and the bullets were fired, Go stood up and turned so the slab of ground clinging to his back would take the rocks. It shattered and Go turned to face his enemy. "You fool, I can see in the dark and I have my spider sense. You just made things more advantageous for me." If he doesn't like webbing, I'll give him some more to deal with. Go backed himself to the wall and sprayed his webbing in all directions. He really let loose and soon the whole dome's interior was full of webbing. Go kicked the wall behind him and slipped out. "Now's my chance," he said to himself as he climbed to the top of the dome. He should be completely focused on tearing apart the webbing in there right now. Go used his spider sense to determine Derek's location, punched a hole in the dome top, and slipped down to land right on top of Derek's head with the weight of his whole body behind his kicks.

Derek knew he was being underestimated. He actually felt more comfortable with the webbing. He managed to create Earth Spikes from the ground to lift him up and away from the webbing. Go's kick grazed him while he was in motion, and it made him temporarily lose his balance. He let himself fall from the moving spike and started to glide in the air. He flew up with full force and acceleration and broke through the interior of the Dome. He landed on the outside and used his Old Power to make the dome crumble from the outside inward. He swooped up just as the Earth started falling and levitated above. "How long can you get out of this trap, Spyder?" He said. He made sure the whole Dome was in view so he could see if Go was going to make a counterattack. If he couldn't escape in 1 minute and 30 seconds, Derek would rescue him.

[El Make]

"Ah, I forgot how good fish was..." Tenkai said as he cleaned up the pot he had cooked with. Placing the cooking things against thew boulder they normally rested on, Tenkai walked back to the middle of the clearing. Placing his palms together and closing his eyes, shadows began to cover his body like clothing, turning him into a dark silhouette against the landscape.

Hmph, the Shadow Armor technique is working like a charm... lets see what it can really do! Tenkai lept forward and landed a few feet away, but he didn't stop. The Shadow Armor allowed him to slide along the ground at high speed, and Tenkai raced around the clearing, jumping up into the air, and coming back down to slide away from his landing spot.

Now, for it's offensive capabilities... Tenkai released the Curse Mark, and beneath the armor of shadows, flame patterns spread halfway down his left arm and covered the left half of his face. Tenkai raced around the edge of the clearing with his arms punching the air. Bursts of shadows flew off his arms and went into the direction of the punch, as more shadows took their place in the armor. Now Tenkai skidded to a stop, turning to face a tree on the opposite side of the clearing. Launching himself, he flew towards the tree with his arms forced to his sides. The tree was split in half upon impact, and Tenkai stood behind it, a dozen cracks and gaps littering his shadow armor.

"So, I can split a tree in half by ramming it... yet it cause great damage to the armor... gotta train some more..."

Go began to jump on the falling boulders in an attempt to escape. However, he didn't get far and fell back down. So he started running upside the wall and was running upside down. He leaped for the exit and flipped himself out of there, then jumped to the ground as the dome collapsed. I know Master has yet to teach me harnessing the electromagnetism running through my body, but I remember him saying the basics behind it lay in the opposite of wall crawling... Go picked up a boulder and had it stick to his spread palm. He tried to repel it, but nothing happened. "Guess it won't do." Go then began to run and then threw the boulder at Derek with all his strength. He then quickly shot webbing at the boulder and let it carry him into the air. He rode the boulder speeding towards Derek and shot several strands of webbing at Derek. He pulled and crashed himself and the boulder into Derek.

Derek managed to slice the boulder into four parts with his wings, but he did not see Go from behind the boulder. Derek attempted to defend himself with his hands, but Go's force still pushed him back. He felt the impact and it hurt a lot more than what he expected. He managed to gather himself and grab onto Go and they both flew at the ground. At the last second, Derek turned so that Go was at the bottom, taking the most impact. Derek still managed to get up even though he was in pain. He looked for Go and started running in that direction, ready to start close combat.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero was caught off guard, as he was unaware that his Chaos Energy was able to be tracked. The short range Chaos Blast knocked him backwards, but he was able to block the majority of the blow with a hastily constructed energy field. At Cortez's declaration that he would have to take the Chaos Emerald from him, he glared and thought to himself That is something that you do not want me to have to do. You would never be able to understand the terrible price that came with the Seven Lights of Chaos being brought into existence anyway. Shadow Zero then saw Cortez run down a side passage and forsake his dark spine form, and so decided to forsake his super form as well so as to have it be an even fight. He began to give chase to Cortez, but was momentarily blinded by a flash of light. When the light had dissipated, he heard Cortez yell catch and throw the Chaos Emerald to him. He reached up a hand and caught it, but also saw that Cortez was charging at him, saying that he wouldn't be able to leave so easily. Shadow Zero saw this and decided that he had had enough. He got what he had come for, the light of Chaos that was his birthright. Fool thinks that he can stop me in my own ancestral home. We'll see about that. Shadow Zero raised a hand and fired off several blasts of chaotic energy, each one easily as large in diameter as he was tall. If it's a fight you want, then you'll be shown no quarter. Shadow Zero then used Chaos Control to warp behind Cortez. "Storm of Chaos!" Shadow Zero placed his hands together and fired off a barrage of Chaos Spears, each and every one of them headed for Cortez. Now he'll either have to use his own form of Chaos Control, or jump up into the air. That's when I'll hit him for sure.

As Derek and Go span to the ground, Go shot webbing to the ground to form a web cushion where he would fall. The impact was still great and the wind was knocked out of him for a few seconds. He got up and saw Derek coming at him. He still has that disintegrating power, I better take precautions. Go released a stinger from each wrist and then spun webbing around his arms as protection. He rushed at Derek and began making stabbing motions at him. The two exchanged blows for a bit until Go slashed his right stinger downward, while at the same time making a lunging motion with his left one. Derek was just out of reach, but Go immediately jumped forward and swung his crossed arms at Derek and managed to cut an x across Derek's chest. He turned and readied himself for a counter attack.

Cortez saw each and every Chaos Spear that was headed towards him. The truth is, he even saw they were storming at him one after another. This is going to be easier than enough. Time for me to test my true power! Cortez quick stepped side to side to dodge the Chaos Spears, but still running. He stopped and paused for a millisecond. The next second, he was charging for a Spin Dash, gathering energy at the same time. He then had enough energy, and was surrounded by a blue aura. He started running towards Shadow again. Just as Shadow was in range, he said, "I told you, didn't I?" He released the energy and started dashing at high speed. He managed to use the Light Speed Attack: An attack that can only be used when the user has gathered enough energy after collecting the Ancient Light. Cortez, being the Avatar of Uhu, was born with this power. However, instead of using one powerful attack, he used many small ones. The eyes of any creature would see Cortez's afterimages more than his real body. His speed made his movements impossible to trace, but he could not keep up the attack for much longer. "Let's see how much more you can do, descendant of Ranmyaku!" He aimed and used a Sonic Eagle kick at Shadow's skull.

 

EDIT: Derek was not expecting Go to use stingers in close combat. He imagined that he was only able to shoot them. Well, two can play at this game. he thought to himself. He used his Earth powers to create a bandage over the "X" shaped cut that Fusion made. Derek countered with his wings. He swiped his left and right wings to cut off Go's left and right stingers respectively. Immediately afterwards, he thrusted his left hand and grabbed onto Go's face. He didn't use is disintegration powers this time. Instead, he punched Go's stomach continuously with his right hand.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero wasn't fool enough to stand idly by as Cortez gathered energy for a light speed attack. He also started spinning on the ground, and when he was finishsed he was surrounded by a red glow. In the same moment that Cortez used his light speed attack, Shadow Zero used his own. Cortez finised by aiming the all to familiar sonic eagle at Shadow Zero, and he responded by swinging the back of his fist at Cortez, a scream of chaotic energies emanating from his fist as he came within hitting distance that would send Cortez flying into the air. All the while, Shadow Zero was gathering energy for a Chaos Blast, and was also hearing a voice speaking directly into his mind. Free me you fool, you're the only one who can! Free me, and unleash your true power!

Skull awoke, not knowing where he was.

He saw some people running with his best weapon.

"Not so fast! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He now had 3 clones.

They sprang up and fully surrounded the four people trying to steal his weapons.

"Ninja Art : Jutsu Stealing Jutsu! Chidori!" He killed them all.

 

"Now where am I? A desert?"

Cortez noticed he missed, and noticed that a small black ember started emerging from the Chaos Emeralds. Crap! He IS just like his ancestors! He cannot control that power, can he? Playtime's over! Cortez clapped his hands and placed them against the ground. At the same time, he put the power of his Flame Crest into his hands, creating sparks on the ground. He used Flame Alchemy to create an Inferno around him. He took this opportunity to test something new. Darkspines mode needs the Red, Green, and Purple Rings, which are filled with Negative Emotions. What happens if I use the Yellow, Cyan, and Blue Rings? He gathered the positive emotions in his heart. He felt the emotions of Hope, Happiness, and Joy entering his body. He closed his eyes to accept that warmth. Nothing actually happened, but Cortez took these emotions and used them to calm himself. He could still sense Shadow's Chaos Energies, and he started charging his Aura Bubble. "Just because I lost that Gem of the Void doesn't mean I can't sense your Chaos Energies!" he shouted. He used a Sonic Boost and slid underneath Shadow. "You can't use Chaos Blast and Chaos Control at the same time, you know!" Cortez leapt back upwards and used his Homing Attack at Shadow.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero didn't even try to block the kick. He merely used Chaos Control to get behind Cortez, saying "You must be thinking of someone else." He then noticed that the Lights of Chaos became as black as the void and thought to himself So, that's what this is about. He remembered Ranmyaku Shadou saying how there had come a time when his entire tribe seemed to have been wiped out by the one who had helped him to create the Lights of Chaos, Emperor Ix. When he had arrived, his corrupt heart had already manifested a deep and seemingly irreversible connection to the Lights of Chaos, turning them, into the Dark Emeralds of Chaos. Well then, there's only one thing to do. "Playtime is over! Chaos Dark!" Shadow Zero was suddenly enveloped in an aura of dark energy that would allow none to approach him. The red stripes that were on his body slowly vanished and darkened to a deep black color along with the rest of his body, white lines appearing between where the red stripes used to be, and the rest of his body. As he finished his transformation, he unleashed all of his stored chaotic energy at once, the energy being amplified by the dark form of which he had entered. "I really didn't want to do this, but since you are so insistent on a fight, I'll just have to end this quickly. And just so you know, It is not for greed that I am now trying to gather all of the Lights of Chaos. I am the only one who can resist the mutterings of Emperor Ix. Then again, I would not expect you to know who that is."

Cortez winked at Shadow. "I know who your talking about. But that isn't him speaking. I know from experience that when you keep on using the Chaos Emeralds, you starts talking to you. Then you take over yourself and starts doing things that you think you don't want to, but you actually do. It probably does not make too much sense, but it will in time." And it's time for me to start getting serious. Cortez transformed into Darkspines Mode. He released his Aura Bubble, which was also amplified by his Darkspines Mode. The clashing energies were matched perfectly, and one could not overtake the other. They reacted to each other like Matter does with Antimatter, except less intense. The explosion forced them away from each other, but Cortez counted on something different happening. His Wind Burst moved from where the forces collided towards Shadow. It's burst had similar effects as the regular Aura Bubble would, except with the force of the wind. "I'm not going to let you win so easily!" Cortez, even though he was in Darkspines Mode, stayed in his calm and centered state. He called forth the power of all 7 rings, amplified by his Darkspines Mode. He created fifteen rings of Soul Spears around him, each one having more than ten, and the number increases as it moved out. They were able to seek their target, even if their location changed. "I'm not exactly insistent on fighting. I'm just not sure how far you can really control that power with your arrogance." Cortez released the rings. He also used his Speed Break to dash up to the Dark Veil covering Shadow. He drew Zugaikotsu and put Light Soul Energy into it. He slashed at the veil. After three swipes, it broke open. The rain of Soul Spears was now able to hit Shadow. "My Darkspines mode doesn't only give me more strength. It also gives me the power to cut the flows of all kinds of energy. Yours took a bit more effort since it isn't from this world, but it still broke." Cortez dashed backwards keeping an eye on Shadow while the Soul Spears rained down on Shadow.

[Shadow Zero]

Shadow Zero smirked at Cortez, and wondered at what he had said. If he was honest with himself, it would not have made any sense to have someone talking inside of his head unless he had already had the information that he was given by his ancestor. Even so, his main concern right now was the battle at hand. Shadow Zero slowly walked forward, chuckling to himself as he used one hand to knock all of the soul spears away and into one another so that they exploded upon impact. Not a single one hit Shadow Zero, who smiled widely and said "Surely that is not all that you have got. There must be more to what you can do. Or are you at your limit already?"

My stingers! Just then, Go's face was grabbed, but his spider sense wasn't glaring, so he knew Derek would not use his disintegration abilities, whatever reasoning he had for it. He felt Derek punch him in the gut, it hurt like hell. But when he threw a second punch, Go caught it and said, "You can break my webbing, sure. But add my strength to it and you're not getting out of it!" Go's web covered arms had Derek's right arm trapped. Go turned around and lifted Derek and slammed him to the ground. Without letting go of his arm, Go dropped to the ground and wrapped his legs around Derek's arm and then placed them over his torso. He lifted himself in the air to bend Derek's arm backward. "I'll break your arm and end this!"

[BlackSkullCortez]

Cortez smiled. "That arrogance might be your end. Maybe not now, but it makes your heart 'impure', 'chosen one'." He was hoping to enrage Shadow. Not wanting to wait, he decided to take a step further. He absorbed his White, Yellow, and Cyan World Rings in his Darkspines Mode. The Flame that represented his Soul began to burn brighter. "Your going to have to earn witnessing my full strength. I don't like going killer right off the bat." Cortez clapped his hands. "But it stinks. Your nothing but a shadow of Ranmyaku. If only you could be stronger than him..." He held them up into the air. "Even if you tried, you can't surpass him. You only do what he lists out in his instructions. You can't escape from their chains. You can't even walk on a path that does not have their steps. You're..." Cortez put his hands to the side. "... just a symbiote to a ghost that no longer walks the Earth." Flames erupted on both sides of Cortez. Magma started rising from the ground. He managed to form the flames into three large Dragons. He held up Zugaikotsu and closed his eyes. One of the dragons entered the sword, and it started burning a green flame. At the same time, Cortez's Flame Aura turned blue with intensity. The earth beneath them broke open. "Let's add more to this scenario," Cortez smiled. He used his Blue Ring to create a hurricane around them. He said, "Now, let's see how much you can do as a shadow, descendant of Ranmyaku Shadou." He pointed his sword at Shadow Zero and swung his sword. A dimensional rift appeared. Cortez's wind powers pushed the rift towards Shadow. Everything around it was sucked into it. The rest of the world could feel the vibrations of the fight that was happening here.

 

EDIT: Derek felt his arm about to be broken. I should end this now! he thought to himself. He used his old power to create a fist out of the ground that punched Go out of the way. His skin was ripped off of his arm, which hurt intensely. "I'll show you my true strength!" He concentrated and unlocked his ultimate powers. He created a Black Hole in his right hand. Just before he threw it, he felt a vibration cross through the air. The earth trembled, and he noticed clouds going to a specific point. He looked off into the distance and could see clashing Light and Darkness. Then he heard a voice in his head, saying, "The clash of Light and Dark is breaking out. Derek, you must go." Derek was about to leave, but he felt something grab onto his leg. Go tied Derek's leg with webbing, not allowing him to leave.

"Well, I guess I'll check it out."

Liz Morgan was standing peacefully on top of a building. She was surprised when she looked up and saw that the clouds were moving towards one location. She would have ignored this if they weren't moving in the opposite direction as before. She could also feel uneasiness in her. An electric pulse ran through her. She shivered, as it only added to her uneasiness. She could see the rest of the town panicking, and they sky started darkening. She looked up to see a full Solar Eclipse. It's not supposed to happen today... she thought to herself. She felt something vibrating. The pendulum Cortez gave her was vibrating and pulsing as if it was convulsing. She stood up and flew in the direction of the clouds. Afterwards she realized that the pulses were speaking in a code. Morse Code. The code said: [NOBODY INTERFERE]. She was about to turn back when she saw a cloaked man walking in that direction. Liz landed in front of him, held out her palm and said, "I'm sorry, but I cannot let you pass."

"Let's finish this. Now tell me," Go said as he regrew his stingers and charged Derek. "Who are you and why did you attack me like this?!" He swung with his right stinger downward at Derek, but it was a feint. He planted his stinger in the ground and pivoted his legs to wrap around Derek's neck. Go then lifted himself up, shot webbing at the ground behind Derek, jumped off but still held Derek, and flipped in mid-air to throw him. He still has that black hole thing in his hand, it's his most dangerous technique yet from the looks of it. My spider sense is blaring worse than before. I have to incapacitate him now and proceed with interrogation. Go charged forward, ready for any type of evasion in preparation of the black hole Derek wielded.

[Glitch]

"I'm very close now. But the question is, who's winning?"

[Shadow Zero]

"Arrogance, eh? Is it arrogance to be so sure of ones own power? I wonder about that." As he spoke, Shadow Zero continued walking forward and used Chaos Control to stop time around Cortez's Vortex like attack. "And as to your other comments, I could care less about the paths of others, or what they could or could not do. I make my own path, I choose my own destiny. Now, if you are finished trying to taunt me, Allow me to show you exactly what I am capable of. As he finished speaking, Shadow Zero suddenly appeared in front of Cortez, striking out at him with a barrage of punches before he has a chance to realize just what had taken place. "Tracking Chaos Energy does you no good if you are not able to keep up with its speed." Shadow Zero was speaking with knowledge of this form, for he had studied it well before even becoming aware of the Chaos Emeralds. This form gave him a speed so great, that it rivaled and even surpassed that of Sonic the Hedgehog of Eons past when he had entered into his dark mode for the first time during a fight against the metarex.
