Ha. Chapter 2 of that damned fic...I guess.

[spoiler=Chapter 2 I guess? I need some reviewing before I post these, you know]

Saturday, 6/24, 4:24 PM.

Uhh, Leo? You there? It’s me, Amy. Yeah, just letting you know, I found some envelope on your desk, but it was directed to me. Apparently somebody “hates me and will kill me with their last breath if they have too.”. Yeah…I just wanted to let you know. When your case is over, don’t come to the offices. I don’t want any of my co-workers, especially my apprentice, to get involved in anything. I was wondering if I uhh…can meet you at your house? So yeah, call me back when you get this.

Saturday, 6/24, 6:45 PM

Leo, where the hell are you? I evacuated everyone, yet I can’t find you. If you don’t come in an hour I’m seriously heading back to the offices. I have a bad feeling you didn’t get this message and that your over there now. Hurry up Leo.

Saturday, 6/24, 8:20 PM

Leo, somebody was following me on my way to the offices. I swear I saw them. Please, please hurry up Leo. Get here as fast as you*gunshots, muffled screaming.*

Light was walking down the dark street towards where he worked, Miller Law Offices. One of his best friends, Amy, owned the place, and taught him his skills as a lawyer. “She called me three times. The last call was apparently at…8:20. That was 55 minutes ago. I wonder what was so damn important.” The lawyer walked up to the offices and found it pretty dark and deserted in there. “Everyone’s gone early?” thought the man as he walked up the stairs to his boss’s office. “Wait…that smell…no…” He rushed into her office only to find something that shocked him to death. His boss was lying there, next to her desk, in a slump. There were 2 bullet hole, one in her left shoulder and one in her chest. The smell that Light smelt before was apparently blood, and there was a puddle of it surrounding her. Her pinkish-red hair had drained some of the blood, and so did her clothes. Light slammed her desk and started to curse to himself. “This is all my damn fault! If I would’ve just…I…” The man then pulled out his cellphone and called the cops. While waiting, he sat there and started to get ready to cry. “Dammit dammit dammit. She probably called me to tell me about this crap.” He then got up and started to walk towards the stairs when he heard the police siren. He was ambushed by a girl with long black hair. She was wearing a black jacket and matching black shorts. “Name.” Uttered the girl. Light looked at her puzzled. “Uhh…Leo Light?”

“Leo Light. I’ve heard of you. You’re that lawyer that locked up Vix. Anyways, why are you here?”

“She called me a few times and I though she wanted to see me here, so I arrived, and I found her like this.”

“Interesting. But, we have no proof that you’re innocent, so, as a result, we have to t-” Her voice was cut off by the voice of one of the policemen. “Chief! We found her! We found the murderer!”

The three of them ran down the stairs. Down there was a girl in a brown trenchcoat. Her face was veiled by a hat. “Great job. Take her to the detention center.” Uttered the detective. Light just shook his head. “Wait, how do we know that this girl is the murderer? We don’t have proof at all!” The detective just laughed. “Listen, lawyer. She has a pistol, and her coat has blood on it, plus, she’s veiling her face with that hat.” Light didn’t notice the pistol before and was kind of shocked to see it. The detective then turned to the girl and knocked off her hat. There girl bared a resemblance to Amy. She had long, pinkish-red hair and had deep purple eyes. “Listen, murderer, what’s your name.” The girl stayed quiet for a moment, and finally announced her name. “Scarlet…Miller…” Light stood there, shocked. ‘Amy’s sister? Amy had a sister? Her sister killed her? No…she couldn’t have.’ The detective just laughed. “The victim’s sister, ey? Well this is an unexpected turn of events alright. You, Johnson.” She then pointed to a police officer. The officer turned around and saluted the detective. “Yes Ms. Bray!” She smirked a bit and pulled a notepad out of her jacket. “Take her to the detention center, now. I have some investigating to do.” Bray then turned around and walked back into the Offices, leaving Light stunned. The police officers worked a sweat trying to get the thrashing girl in the car. When they were pushing her in, she kept screaming “I’m innocent! Innocent!” When the police cars drove off, Light started to head to his house, pondering on what to do. “She couldn’t have done the murder. Why would she be lurking around here anyways?”

“Miller, you have a visitor.” The girl looked away, and tried to ignore all connection to anybody on the outside. “Who are you, and what do you want.” Uttered Scarlet, while looking in the other direction. There was a lighthearted laugh and then a pause. “My name is Leo Light. I’m a defense attorney. I worked for your sister.”

“Oh. You. Her apprentice person. You know it was your fault she died.” Leo then looked at the girl, shocked. The girl turned around and laughed at his expression. “What did you come here for?”

“Well…err, I kind of know you didn’t do the mur-”

“Save your breath. It doesn’t matter. I’m done for. They have 3 witnesses, and I was the only person at the crime scene, with a gun, no less. And I have no defense attorney. I’m royally screwed.” Light couldn’t help but laugh at the girl. “That’s why I’m here.”
