[Aesirson]

"They would only slow us down." Lily said and kept walking towards the tower. "Besides, I already told you they are nothing but shells of their former self now. They couldn't even kill a wounded cow with their current power."

 

As they kept walking through the ruined streets of Reverse New Babylon, several other Nihilians appeared watching them from the ruins. They seemed to be mumbling something, but none of them seemed to get ready to attack the two Heretics.

"We're closing in..." Lily said as they got closer to the tower.

[Wuu.]

As soon as Ricor heard the mumbling about him and Lily he stopped walking and turned his head towards the small crowds he whipped up his index finger and the earth under their feet erupted. Ricor grinned, and catched onto Lily "I surely do hope that the Nihilians aren't going to be spreading rumors about us, or talking behind my back, or i'll destroy any single Nihilian, and a high probability that i will destroy this Reverse realm city." He said.

[Aesirson]

Lily looked at the Nihilians who were killed by the ground erupting.

"You're grim. I like that..." She said and then looked at him. "I think that you may come in handy if the Justicars figure out our plan..."

She looked around as more Nihilians decided to look at them, but she gave them a glare and they then ran away hiding.

"They shouldn't be that big of a bother, they're really just critters." She turned to the tower again and started walking.

 

When they finally reached the tower they were greeted by a blonde Heretic man who looked a bit scared at the sight of Lily and the muscular man.

"Uhm... Good morning, ma'am Espina and mister..?"

[Wuu.]

Ricor stared at the man with a rather dark look in his eyes. "You don't need to know my name, you will hear it when something comes up, now step aside." He ordered the Heretics, and he then faced Lily "If any of these weaklings tries to even ask me something i WILL pierce their stomach with fivehundred kilo of stone." He said with a somewhat louder voice to scare the blonde man.

[Aesirson]

"Of course, these are just gaurds, we don't really need them since the Justicars never travels here, and don't know about our HQ." She looked back at the ruined city. "And as I said, the Nihilians does not pose a threat..."

The blonde man grumped in manner that shouted "What does she mean by 'just guards'?"

Lily turned to him and said in a serious tone:

"You are free to leave the Heretics at any time you want, just give your Heretic mask to me." She held forth her hand in case he would actually accept the offer. "But we will hunt down you and your entire family if you does..."

[Wuu.]

As he saw that Lily was talking seriously to the guard, who indirectly undermined the power Lily had he ticked away her hand, and grabbed the throat of the guard and put his forehead on that of the guard's "I should just squeeze the air out of you, like i do with every rat that thinks that higher powers depend on him." He said with a very dark tone, and threw the guard against the ground, "Are we ready to continue, Lily?" He asked.

[Aesirson]

"Ah- Yes of course!" She walked into the gate of the ruined tower. Even though more then half the tower was ruined in this world, four levels and the multiple underground levels was still intact. They had entered the first floor, it was not very unlike the one in the normal world, but there was some debris laying around the room. It was formed as a circle, with a staircase on each side of the room, one going down and one going up.

 

"We're going down..." She said and walked down the staircase leading down to the first undeground level. Even though there was a staircase going even lower, she instead opened a gate that was placed on this level. Inside was the room where the other Heretics had the meeting earlier, but there was only a male Nihilian inside who were cleaning up the blood after Lily's earlier attack.

"Aren't you done yet?" Lily asked and walked to the Nihilian.

The Nihilian didn't answer, but instead stood up and bowed. He then ran outside.

"We use some Nihilians as slaves, but they're really worthless for other uses."

[Cozmosus]

John's cane flew out of his hand. This was bad. His cane was gone and he could only hold his breath for thirty seconds. He needed to find his cane. 20. He searched the ground, but found nothing. 10. He was almost out of breath and couldn't see. 5. That's it, I need to clear the smoke he thought, while quickly reaching to his bag. He grabbed a bomb that could set fire to the gas. He bundled up in his fire retardent jacket and threw the bomb as far away as possible. The whole alley burst into flames. The intense heat almost tearing through his jacket. The wave of fire ended, and John saw his cane and dashed towards it. One of the Justicars was lying on the ground unconcious. John grabbed his cane and walked toward the unconcious Justicar, and threw someburn ailment to the ground. He was about to leave as the other Justicar burst from the ground.

[Wuu.]

As Ricor ascended from the stairs he overlooked a room with a rather dark feeling to it, actually the whole of the Reverse realm had that feeling about it. "... You people have meetings?" He let out a faint laugh, Heretics that would come together to meet eachother, and decide what should happen next, he knew that all Heretics knew that working together as an organisation like the Justicars did.

[Aesirson]

Lily looked at Ricor when he chuckled.

"I start to think I understand why you old Heretics fell during the last revolt." Lily giggled a little and then sat down on the throne that she sat on earlier. "If we do not plan our moves against the Justicars we will surely fall just like your Heretics did..."

She started drumming on the table with her scythe, like she did before.

"Anyway, this is the Heretic's new HQ. Feel like home." She said, still drumming her scythe to the table. "Oh... I almost forgot. To enter the Reverse World you will have to say 'Ostendo sum universitas porta vadum patefacio' while in front of the Memorial. To leave it say 'Reverto ut quispiam' while near the reverse version of the stone."

Sanctio awoke, dazed. He had burns he did not remember getting. Oh, how he wished he could go back. But he couldn't. He stood up, and found himself a few hundred meters away from the building he was trying failed to protect. He painfully limped back, and saw that the alleyway was set ablaze. The Alchemist, the thought, is not getting away with this! In his mind he swore to stop this Heretic. But for now, he had to report back to HQ...

[Wuu.]

"The only reason why the earlier Heretics failed is because they where weak, and unorganized." He said a bit angered. Ricor rammed his kopesh into the ground, and leaned against the wall "I feel home wherever there is destruction, and somberness, and don't worry, i won't be leaving this realm for a long time..." Ricor closed his eyes and let his head hang, he decided it was time to rest.

[Cozmosus]

John escaped before the other Justicar noticed him. He got lucky that time. He wasn't ready for such skilled guards. He didn't have enough bombs, but luckily one of the Justicars was already tired. John ran into towards the edge of the city. The border guards were all at the building he had robbed. He escaped passed the border easily and escaped into the forest. When he got deep enough into the forest he slowed back down to a walk.

[Otaku-sama]

As Nanko broke out of her self imposed prison, she noticed that every surface in the alleyway was scorched black. She forced her way the rest of the way out and took a look around the alleyway. She quickly spotted a hurt Justicar covered in burns nearby. Nanako didn't think twice and went to aid her fallen comrade. The perp might get away, but no man or woman is left behind in the Justicars. She helped the Justicar to his feet as gently as she could in her hefty armour.

 

"Hey bud. You okay there? Do you need me to bring you back to HQ or will you be fine on your own?"

Sanctio saw another Justicar help him stand up right. The Justicar was wearing armor, and she barely looked hurt. Even her armour looked fine. "Ugh, thank you. But--agh!" suddenly, Sanctio felt a sharp pain in his leg. He looked down and saw his pants were bloody. "Actually, can you help me?" he asked, leaning on her slightly...

[Otaku-sama]

Nanako felt her comrade lean on her shoulder and was a little put off balance by the unexpected weight.

 

"Alright then bud. I'll help you ba--Holy crap your leg is bleeding out! Don't exert yourself! I'll get you there!"

 

Nanako struck the ground with her staff, creating a rolling mound of earth that move them foward, as if they were surfing on a stone wave. They quickly shot foward through the city, the few citizens left on the streets barely diving out of the way. The wave also left a trail of broken stone tiles and dust. In only half a minute, Nanako had arrived at the Tower of Babel. She carried the Justicar, despite him being larger than herself, into the infirmary on the third floor and laid him on one of the cots. She then collapsed into a nearby chair, panting from the task she had finished. She took off her helmet and revealed her bright red hair and threw the helmet down before going into a tired trance.

Sanctio watched as all the people jumped out of the way of the stone wave he and his fellow Justicar was on. She must be an Elementalist he thought. Staring off towards the horizon, he could see the seemingly infinitely high, oncoming Tower of Babel. Though he would never admit it, he was always inspired by the sight of the tower. It reminded him of the cliche that anything is possible (which he secretly believed in).

 

The Justicar carried him in and layed him on one of the cots in the infirmary. He felt really tired, and wanted to fall asleep, but the pain in his leg would not allow it. A medic came in and cut his pants to show that the skin on that part of his leg was burnt clean off. The medic quickly disinfected the wound and wrapped it. The medic then said they might have to operate on it, but he'd have to make sure, then he left. Sanctio then realized, that this Justicar might have saved his life, or atleast his leg. He looked to his comrade, who he saw had bright red hair, stare off like she was in a trance.

 

"Thank you," he said. "My name is Sanctio. And yours?"

[Magnet Soldier]

Dlondar groaned as he jumped backwards, away from a giant wave of stone tearing across the street. "Bloody Elementalists. Dont like exercise." He said, not noticing the wounded Justicar on the wave. Inside the inner city he was a nobody, frowned upon by the residents. He longed to be outside, in the slums where he was a hero, famous. He hated it here. But without the Justicars, he wouldn't be revered in the slums, and he would probably still be stealing off of merchants in the slum market. Dlondar looked up at the tower of Babel, hating the sight of it. It was grand and beautiful, but that was what angered him. If the members of the inner city could do that, then surely they could sort out the slums. He sighed and walked towards the tower, kicking stones along the way.

[Aesirson]

"My... What a mess..." Lily appeared in Geraldus house. For once she wasn't wearing her Heretic mask, which revealed her entire face, and a small scar on her chin. She was also wearing more casual clothes then she used to, now wearing a t-shirt that appeared too small for her and jeans shorts.

 

"You're training, I see. I just thought that I should tell yoyu about our latest movements..." Since Geraldus hadn't been to the meeting earlier Lily felt that she needed to explain the plan to him, just so that he didn't ruin it. Noth that she thought he would.

 

"So I sent Mika, a pretty new guy, to act as a Palace Guard, he's then going to replace the King with himself, using his Shapeshifting skills." She then looked around at the totally destroyed dummies. "What have you done to them? You do know we have Nihilians to train on, right?"

"You're the new guy?" Velon walked up behind Mika. "You're kinda short, aren't you?"

He didn't smile, as usual, even though he just joked again.

"It's good to see that the civilians care for the palace, at least. I was just going to tell the guard, which would be you, that I cannot fullfill my job as a guard today because I've got an emergency meeting with the Justicars. Good luck."

Velon turned around and started walking towards the Tower of Babel. Apparently he was fooled by Mika's disguise.

[Enrise]

Seeing Lily in his house, he wasn't all that surprised. He leaned against the door in the doorway to the bathroom, wrapping up his hand from when he broke the glass cases. He looked at the dummies, and to Lily. His forearm was still pretty banged up from a while ago. "Yeah, I know. I'm just doing self-rehab for my forearm is all."

 

After wrapping it up, he walked back into the room with all the dummies, and took the staff, and broke each and every one of the glass cases, granting access to all the weapons behind it. He grabbed a spear with a sharpened edge that appeared dusty. He wiped the dust off, and thought about the plan.

 

"I dunno 'bout the plan. It seems good yes, but only in theory." It was a good plan no doubt, but something about it didn't seem right. It was too good to be true. What if there was some sort of secret that all guards shared that we didn't know.

 

He took the spear he had in hand, and sheathed the blade with a cloth. He scoped the room for the other weapons, wondering which ones he should keep with him.

[Aesirson]

"That's true." Lily said and crossed her arms. "But, hopefully Mika took on a form of a civilian, and then he can just that he's new or something."

 

Lily thought about it, and then decided she worried to much. She didn't like that side of herself.

"Besides, there has been no assaults for about five years now, the guards are probably taking it easy." Lily walked up to one of the glass cases and looked at a sword in it. "Why are you keeping so many weapons, wouldn't it be easier just to specialize on one kind of weapon?"

[Enrise]

"Well, I usually like to think that one can take both sides of a coin, and not just one side. Or another way to put it, follow more than one path, instead of just following just one." He took the sword that Lily was looking at, and examined it at different angles. He saw it's sheath, and to it, covering the blade of the sword. He looked for his side-arm blades, wondering where they went.

 

"I know I just saw them around here." He crouched down to the floor looking for the side-arm blades, to see if they fell with the glass. As he rummaged for a bit, he stopped and asked Lily a question. "Lily. I have a question. What if this doesn't work, without the death of all the Heretics?" He knew he wasn't himself today. Especially for just training now, of all days, while still in rehab, and training with dummies for that matter, and for his other actions today.

[Otaku-sama]

Nanako looked towards Sanctio, who's leg was cleaned and dressed.

 

"Oh, I'm Nanako! It sure was lucky that I locked myself up in that stone tomb before that guy burned the whole place up! If I hadn't, we'd both be bleeding out in that alleyway! So, you're a Justicar right? What's your specialty? I'm an Elementalist myself as you can tell!" Nanako replied with enthusiasm that did not match her energy level.

Sanctio was surprised at how peppy Nanako suddenly became. Well, might as well be friendly, he thought. "Yes, I'm a Justicar. I am a Paladin. I can control time...partially..."

 

Suddenly, a medic came in that was different that the earlier one. "You're leg should be fine," he said, "Just try not to run or put too much pressure on it. The skin should regenerate on its own in about a week." Sanctio was relieved. He didnt want the burden of staying here and doing nothing.

[Aesirson]

"What are you worried for us?" Lily said in a half-flirty tone. "It's not like we're going to end up like the last Heretics!"

She was walking around the room and looked at the different weapons that Geraldus had collected.

 

"You're not yourself today... Tell me what it is!" She turned to him and had an angry look on her face. She was actually angry at herself for being so soft.

I'm not myself either... What he says makes sense, what if we fail? What if we all end up dead someway?
