Babylon [RP Thread; PG-16]

At the gates of the city, or the Ishtar Gate, Geraldus sat ontop of the gate, staring at the Tower of Babel. He pondered a while. A long while. Normally he wouldn't stare at the thing, but it got him going for some reason. He wasn't like the others however. He had different opinions.

"King Hammurabi, one of the greatest, made the country a force to be reckon a great time ago. Now, people barely recognize him as an important king. Let alone they barely recognize his life." murmured Geraldus. He jumped off the gate, and headed straight into the market place, where he saw different people.

He kept his mask off at times, as to experience a different life, and not just be a Heretic 24/7. He saw the people buying, trading, having a good time, and more. Why couldn't he have that good of a time? Why couldn't he experience this? It was because of being a Heretic.

He looked at his right hand, and saw the spear-shape mark on it, and gave a sigh. He looked up, and continued walking. When he came to a stop, he looked to his right, and saw a stand selling some fruit. He occasionally loved fruit, but 'worshiped' strawberries and lemons. He walked over to the stand with some money, and asked for some strawberries and lemons. "Strawberries and Lemons please..."

((Remember, not many Justicars like Dlondar. Just sayin.))

"Well, that was dull." Dlondar said, stepping off the wall and yawning. "I should have seen that you'd be strong enough to defeat me. Dont need a 'failure as a Justicar' like me getting in your way do you?" Dlondar laughed half-heartedly, before walking in the other direction, his hand still on the hilt of his blade. "Well, just shout if you need me. I'm going back home." And with that, Dlondar jumped onto a nearby building, running across the roofs towards the main city, home to the rich and the Justicars. He jumped down to a nearby gate into the main city and looked towarsds the nearest guard. The guards looked at him in disgust, but stepped away. "Rude people." Dlondar said, walking towards the tall tower of Babel.

As Ricor laid paralyzed in the crater caused by Velon's ability, another figure walked close to him, and the only thing that Ricor could see was a pair of white stilletos.

"You are Ricor Khandak, I asume?" A woman's voice said, and then Ricor could see that she kneeled down. He then felt a faint pain in his back, equal to that of a mosquito's bite. "Don't worry, I'm just healing your wound."

It was obviously Lily who were talking to him.

"So, Mister Khandak." She said with her arms crossed. "I've heard rumours that you were in the last Heretic revolt, am I right?"

After obtaining the requested strawberries and lemons from the market, he decided to head home, as there was nothing left to do for the day. It was still early in the day however. About noon time. It's been a while since he picked up his weapons for a good practice, so he might as well do that.

*Time skip*

After arriving at his medium-sized house, he looked around and saw no one. He lived around a park, so he thought it would be more packed. Well, it was good for today. He looked back at the house, and saw how plain it was. He laughed at the simplicity, and went inside. The inside was a complete difference to the outside. Everything inside was complete tech. and more.

He set the food down at a round table and walked towards another room. In the room were spears, swords, claws, etc. Some were just for collection, others for real. He looked around, and saw a plain old stick that could be used for a spear, if made right. He took the stick, and fiddled with it for a bit, to get the feel for it again. He set it down, and walked to another door, and opened it. In it were large dummies that were used for practicing. He took them out and set them up in a way that made it look like he was surrounded by a group of people.

He took the stick and twirled it around, and smacked the ground with it. "Okay, I guess it's time to restart fighting 101." Geraldus laughed.

Ricor was already by, but not enough to make sense of what was going on. But his common sense said that he should just answer, "Yes, i was in the last Heretic revolt, though i horrendously failed to uphold my honor, and lost in battle..." He hung his head a little bit, because it was a shame to him that he would lose to those idiots. "But now you can answer me, who are you?"

"My name is Cecelia Espina, Captain of the New Heretics." Lily said and watched as Ricor regained his strength. "But most people just refer me as Lily."

She looked at the crater around them and closed her eyes. One could almost believe she had entered a meditating stance, but she then opened her eyes again.

"Velon... I feel his energy." She said, and then looked at the almost completely destroyed inn. "Was that your doing? Looks like my common sense didn't fail me when I chose my Lieutenants."

She looked at Ricor again and pointed her katana at him.

"You are willing to become my Lieutenant, right?"

Ricor regained full sight and faced the pointy katana. "It was my doing, i can't help to destroy all places that harbor fun, and friendship..." He ticked away the katana and got up on his feet, first waggling a bit, but regained his steady stance again "I am willing to become anything that involves power, but i cannot warn you enough, that once i get my role going, there is a chance, a huge probability that we will eventually become eachother's enemies, you are willing to take that risk, do you?" He sinisterly explained, as he slowly pulled his kopesh out of the ground, he already knew that the chance would be very high that he, and Lily would compete for power inside the Heretics.

"That's not something you tell a lady, is it?" Lily thinned her eyes and spoke in an innocent tone, but she then moved her katana closer to Ricor's face and lightly touched his mask's forehead with it.

She then made two quick moves with the blade and small pieces of bone fell from the mask and a slightly bleeding scar was created upon it. She had cut an L on the fore head of the mask.

"That will surely remind you of were your lojalty lies in the end, Khandak."

She sheathed her blade and turned around.

"Let's go, I'll show you the HQ."

John coulld easily bypass the system, but he would only have two minutes two minutes to get back out. He plugged his cane into the eye sanner, and a keyboard popped out of the side. He began hacking into the system. It was easy as pie. Except for lemon marangue. That's one tricky pie. The large titanium door opened. John walked in. There it was, the new substance that he needed. John took the shell of his cane, and rearranged a few parts as he took the invention from the case. Suddenly an alarm went off. *WOOP WOOP WOOP*. He quickly put the plastic-like material on his cane, which morphed to fit. John ran away as fast as he could. The alarm was blazing, calling all the guards in the city to that area.

Ricor followed the movement of the blade with his eyes and showed a somewhat sadistic grin. The words that Lily of loyalty that Lily spoke of thwirled in Ricor's ears, 'It sounds like fun to me to hear you are going to dictate where my loyalty lies.' He silently said, and followed Lily. He quickly ran up towards the side of Lily, and walked from there on.

Nanako had finished gorging herself on the food in the mess, almost equivalent to a four course meal in only about ten minutes. Despite eating like this almost everyday, she would never get fat. She smiled about this fact and sat further down her seat. As soon as she had gotten comfortable and was about to drink her after dinner tea, a very loud alarm blasted through the mess hall.

"Alert! Alert! All available Justicars head towards the city! A high security facility has been breached and the perpetrator has escaped to the city! All Justicars look out for man carrying a plastic like material! It is highly classified property of the City of Bablyon! All available Justicars to the city!" screeched the alarm. Nanako was so suprised by this alarm that she spilled the tea all over her armour, seeping through the cracks and scorching her.

"Ah f***! Ow! Gods be damned! Now of all times we have an emergency! Ahh!" Nanako cursed to herself as she got out of the chair and put her helmet back on.

She rushed outside and into the city. The city was in chaos. The guards were attempting to corral the civilians into their homes and they cleared the streets for more guards. Nanako jumped to the a rooftop with a stone pushing her upwards and sprinted, rattling the terracotta tiles. The streets were clearing out, but as she jumped from rooftop to rooftop, she spotted one shady looking guy in blue running down the streets, brandishing a cane. If he was the perp, she would be able to subdue him. If he was a civilian and he got hurt, Nanako would get it from her commander, but she decided that is was better to be safe than sorry.

Nanako jumped from the rooftop and landed in front of the guy in blue, leaving a large crater in her wake and making quite a sound. She brandished her rod and slowly walked through the cloud of dust she threw up.

"Hey you! Who are you and why are you running around in this time of day! Don't you know someone's on the run!?" Nanako said with her authoritarian tone she used with civilians.

Sanctio recieved an alert that an alarm went off at a building holding an important alchemical material. Sanctio was honestly getting bored patroling the city, so he decided to check it out. "Fast-Forward." He said, as he felt himself speeing up faster and faster. He ran at almost lightning speed to the warehouse. However, when he arrived, and the spell wore off, he became very fatigued. He tried not to show it, though. He opened the door, surprised that no one was guarding it, and found a man running towards him. "Heretic," he said quietly, as he unsheathed his sword and prepared for battle.

John dashed away from the building, with guards running around trying to get people away. A guard ran up and unsheathed his sword. He needed to escape as fast as possible. The guard seemed fatigued from running, so this would not be much trouble. John shot three small objects arond him, and threw a smoke bomb. The objects would create a hologram of him, which would distract the guard for a few seconds. John ran around the corner of a building, slowing down to a walk. According to his map he was almost at the edge of the city. The alarms continued to sound as he walked through the alleyway. He almost made it to the exit when a woman smashed the ground in front of him, creating a large crater in her wake. "Hey you! Who are you and why are you running around in this time of day! Don't you know someone's on the run!?" she said. That is strange he thought She doesn't know that I stole the material yet. He had an idea. John learned sign language in case he needed it, and he needed it. John signed, "I cannot hear, what is happening?" That would keep his cover and let him escape. He hoped it would work, the other guard would be coming soon.

A loud clang rang out as Mika walked into yet another stand of pottery. How could those palace guards stand wearing all this armor? He could barely see, not to mention how hot it was. And then there was the extra five pounds added to his body...but it would all be worth it. He would be able to reach the king and do his duty to his leader and all the heretics.

He had seen a paralyzed body on the side of the road, but presuming, or at least hoping, that it wasn't his target, he had just left it there. On to the palace.

Sanctio looked around in the smoke. He could see the Heretic...in three different places. An Alchemist he thought. Sanctio had enough energy for one more spell without giving out. "Step." he said, and in his mind he could see the Heretic using sign language. Sanctio walked(to conserve energy) out and around the building. Every image that popped in his mind was occuring a moment later. Sanctio then saw, in his mind, himself drawing his lance. He walked up behind the Heretic and did so. "Stop trying to lie your way out." he said. Sanctio was running on empty, but he had enough energy to fight...

Mika shifted his hammer, transformed into a steel sword in order to more accurately be seen as a palace guard, slightly up his steel belt. Three hundred feet, Mika thought, three hundred feet and I'll be at the palace and my mission can start. Unfortunately for the crew-cut paladin, a loud crash erupted from an alleyway. Mika saw an alchemist, obviously a heretic because of his mask, alongside a couple of Justicars, obviously looking for a tussle with him. Why now?

John heard the other guard come back from behind him. He had been found out and was surrounded. This was a perfect time to test out his new cane. The Justicars were facing him from both sides. John fiddled with his cane under his jacket. as the Justicars moved in on him, he brought out his cane, which had the top changed into a gas mask. He quickly held it to his face and threw his gas bomb. He used the killer cloud bomb. It would slow them down and damage them. It would work best at this moment since they were in an alleyway.

'Everyone is so loud' Miles grumbled as he tried to pour some concentrated sulfuric acid into a beaker. Hhe chucked both away in annoyance, shattering the container and the beaker, splattering acid onto the floor. He looked out into the city via his telescope. 'Annoying heretic stealing alchemaic item.....not worth the effort' he mumbled as he cycled through the city, spotting a palace guardsman walking to the palace. 'A guardsman not on duty eh? That could be handy, I need a new guinea-pig for my latest experiment and I'm no longer allowed to test on citizens' he said, and grinned.

Lily and Ricor entered a misty graveyard, with gravestones that seemed to have been randomly spread across the ground. There were also some withered trees spread across the graveyard, and in the denter was a big tombstone with a golden inscription scripted into the rough surface. This is the stone that Lily and Ricor stood in front of.

"Do you see this stone, Ricor?" Lily said, already knowing the answer. She stroke the surface of the inscription with her hand. "It's a memorial stone raised in memoriam to the fallen Justicars that died during the first Heretic revolt. The gravestones around it is actually raised in a manner so that they form the Justicars' insignia if seen from above."

She looked around, and the stones did in fact form the Justicars' emblem if they were to be looked at from above.

Lily placed her palm on the center of the stone.

"Ostendo sum universitas porta vadum patefacio!" As she spoke the words, the reality around the place where she had placed her hand seemed to implode, but in fact it formed a black hole stylish portal.

"Follow me, please..." She stepped into the portal and dragged Ricor with her. When they had stepped through it they seemed to be at the same place, but they were upside down and the tombstone that they came out of was destroyed. "This is the Realm of Reverse. Don't worry about you being upside down, you'll get used to it."

She started walking towards the city. However, in the Realm of Reverse, New Babylon appeared as a gigantic ruin, and one could think that Lily and Ricor had traveled into a post-apocalyptic Babylon.

"Our HQ is in the Reverse Tower of Babel, follow me." She waved with her hand, signaling to Ricor to follow her.

((In short, the Realm of Reverse is an apocalytic version of Babylon, and everything is upside down (the gravity causes the ground to become the roof and the sky to become the floor, but you still walk on the ground) Sorry if this is hard to understand, I will post a picture in the OoC thread later to explain.))

Nanako had honestly thought that the person that she had stopped was a civilian until another Justicar called him a heretic. Nanako was in a state of confusion and had no time to react when the person threw a bomb filled with toxic gas. Nanako couldn't run away, so she smashed the ground and created a protective chamber out of stone that sealed itself off. She knew she only had two minutes of air in this small space, so she didn't bother to sit down. After two minutes, she smashed open one of the sides and walked out to fresh air.

By seeing all the destroyed landscapes, and ruins Ricor actually felt happy for once "So this is the Realm of Reverse?" He asked, and one could already hear in his voice that he had great plans on his hands. Ricor followed Lily, with no other interest than worshipping the destroyed realm. "Lily, the Heretics didn't have a leader in the last revolt, why are we having it now? And why you?" Ricor had many questions, but waited for Lily to answer the first two.

Sanctio quickly wrapped his cape around his mouth and nose, trying his best not to breath the gas, but to no avail. He could feel himself getting weaker. He didnt want to use another spell because he could collapse from exhaustion if he did. However, with all this gas, the Heretic would not be able to see either. He walked towards where he saw the Alchemist last, and reached out his arm. He felt something like a lance, but...

This is his cane!! he thought, and he quickly pulled it away so the Heretic's face would be exposed, too. He threw the cane out of the cloud of gas. But in doing so, he took a deep breath of the gas. He fell, unconscious...

Gasping for breath, Geraldus dropped the staff and knelled on his right leg, and spat toward the right. He sat down on the floor, slouching backwards and sighed, staring at the ceiling. Looking at the nearly demolished dummies that would need repairs for a week before they had to be used again, he stood up, and picked up the staff. He threw aside near other staffs, and walked to one of the glass cases.

Staring at the glass cases, he glanced at his tightly clenched fist, and back to the glass. He saw no way to open the cases, other than brute force to break them apart. Which is exactly what he did. "...God damn why do I do stupid shit?" Not bothering to get whatever was behind the glass case, he walked into the restroom for a first aid kit, to stop the bleeding and to get the glass out from in the skin.

--I really have not much connection going on right now, so it'll be a bit before I can have some connection.

Lily stopped and looked at the ruins of the Reverse Tower of Babel.

"The reason that we... I mean you, fell the last time was because you didn't have a leader." She turned around and looked at Ricor, and then grabbed her scythe that she had been carrying on her back all this time. "And let's just say that we didn't vote for the leader... I think you get the idea."

She looked at the ruined tower again, but then they could hear footsteps not far away and moments later a small, pale girl appeared. She had short, black hair and was wearing black rags. Another notable detail was that her ears appeared to be pointy.

"Stupid outworlders... Get out of here!" She said. She sounded very weak, and she was walking in a way that also noted at this.

"Listen, girl!" Lily totally unsheathed her scythe and pointed it at the girl. "If you do not want me to end your pathetic life now you should get away!"

The girl turned around and ran away without hesitation and Lily looked at Ricor, who she guessed wanted an explanation.

"Nihilians." Lily said shortly. "They are the inhabitants of this world, and they are the ones who are said to have destroyed the elves 3000 years ago. But they are now stripped of their power and no threat at all to neither the Heretics or the Justicars."

((Lily wasn't in the first Heretic Revolt, which is why she changed her mind when she said "we"))

Ricor smiled at seeing Lily threaten the Nihilian, and felt a faint urge to kill it. Ricor negated the usual feeling to see blood flow, or limbs fly and turned his attention towards Lily. "Nihilians... They could never pose a threat to me, let alone the Heretics as a group, and why can't we use them against the Justicars? You're not afraid to harness their true powers, right?" He asked in a mocking way. Ricor also had the thoughts to bring in a Nihilian secretly, so he could witness their powers.
