Aesirson
((I decided to start this RP now, but since I'm still on vacation I won't post any detailed posts.)) New Babylon was lit up by the faint light of the babylonian sunrise. In the air two airships crossed the sky, and Euphratus lied tranquil as it ran through the city. Not many people was up this early, since it was a day off for most people. The only people who were awake was the Justicars that was assigned to patrol the city that night and of course early birds that wanted to take a stroll, bathing in the morning sun. ((Remember that this is an RP that takes place in a semi-fantasy/semi-sci fi environment. There's no cars and the world is almost free from junk and trash.)) Wuu.
Watching New Babylon from afar Ricor sat on a pile of ruble, to whoever walked past him, he would seem like a demon to them, and the people just couldn't haste themselves enough to get out of his sight, and whenever one would walk past him he would just follow them with his eyes, and then turning his attention on New Babylon. "I will be the new ruler of Babylon" he whispered with a rather cold toned voice "Just all of you filthy people watch". He stood up and started his usual walk. The Warden
'And a touch of Hydrogen Peroxide and bam' Miles said as he added a liquid to an already fizzling test tube. The contents of the tube reacted very violently and. The door to his lab was blown clean off it's hinges and embedded in the opposite wall. Smoke billowed out as Mils dusted himself off, completely unharmed. 'That wasn't supposed to happen' he grumbled. An armed soldier rushed forward to him. 'Alchemist Miles, are you alright?' he inquired. 'Fine, fine, I was just creating my latest explosive and it went off too soon' he answered. Aesirson
Suddenly, Velon appeared in the doorway to Miles now half-blown lab."Miles, if you keep doing that you'll end up blowing the entire Tower of Babel up." He wasn't smiling, even though it was obviously a joke. "Not that I would care, the entire city will be blown sooner or later anyway." He slowly walked away, down the hallway, but he stopped and without turning towards the door again he said."Anyway, you were one of the Justicars who fought the Heretics last time, no? I've heard rumours about them returning, just so that you're prepared."-In an underground room, there was a throne with a lone figure on it. In front of the throne there was a table with a couple of other figures around it."To be perfectly honest, I do not have any plan as of howe we should conquer Babylon yet." Lily said, placed on the throne holding her scythe in the right hand and leaning her head towards the left hand. "Any suggestions?" A young man wearing an Heretic mas on Lily's right side raised his hand. He had a malicious grin on his face."I say we just blow our way straight through the city, level the Tower of Babel with the ground and then rule the city with an iron fi-" He stopped abruptly and looked down. Lily had pierced his chest with her scythe and blood was now flowing through the wound caused. Moments later the man fell off his chair, his body acting boneless like rubber. "I don't like that plan." Lily simply said, not looking at the dead man. Some of the other Heretics looked at their dead comrade, while some of them smiled and looked up to their leader."Does anyone else have any suggestions?" She then asked. Wuu.
Ricor was walking on the unpaved path, and came across something that looked like an inn, and he heard laughter and lots of talk coming out of it. As soon as Ricor heard all this noise he stopped walking and only turned his head towards where the inn was located. He put up his hand, with his handpalm facing the inn and a dark grin came on his face. He closed his hand into a fist, and high walls of earth erupted around the inn, and started closing into one another, as soon as the people in the building knew they where gonna die they started screaming and yelling. Ricor watched this all and had a dark, silent, maniacal laugh.
Magnet Soldier
"Another late night mission, patrolling the streets again." The owner of the voice sighed as he stared at the mug of ale in his hand. "Well, nothing happened out of the ordinary.....again. What I'd give for a bit of excitment around..." He was stoped mid sentence. A man jumped into the bar, brandishing a scimitar. "Now, everyone. Stay calm. Aslong as you all comply, noone gets...Argh!" He cried, as a sword slashed his left hand off. "Hmph. I meant to slice you in half." The Man said, now revealed to be a Justicar. He wasn't one of the more honourable, dignified ones, but was still famous. Around the justicars he was famous for being the most disrespectful and arrogant Justicar, almost a rogue. Around the slums he was a hero. Probably because he was one of the few people that cared for the slums. "Now, are you gunna drop that blade, or will I have to pry it from your cold, dead hands?" The Justicar asked. The man grunted and ran at the Justicar, just to have his head fly into the wall a second later. "It's always the second answer. Never the cleaner one." The Justicar muttered, wiping his blade on the ground. A cheer erupted from the crowd in the bar. "Dont mention it." The justicar said, tossing a coin to the Bartender while sheathing his sword. He sighed as he stepped out into the fresh, outdoors air, but was once again horrified by the image he saw. People were terrified in the open, always scrabbling for shade. "The better the paradise, the bigger the hell." He said, sighing as he walked the dangerous streets, his hands inching towards his blade, just incase. Aesirson
Velon was now standing behind Ricor, pointing his rapier towards his back."Ricor Khandak." He said, letting the name slowly roll off his tongue. "I honestly thought you were dead." Velon laid the rapier on the back of his own neck and grabbed it's blade with his left hand, the one not holding the hilt."But of course that doesn't matter. What you are doing is wrong, and as my duty as a Justicar it is my job to execute you."Velon stepped back and pointed his rapier towards Ricor, waiting for him to turn around."Attack me, Heretic!" Magnet Soldier
The Rogue justicar was about to return to his boring, carefree life as a City Justicar when he felt slight vibrations in the ground, and the sound of muffled screams filled the air. "Well, this is an exciting day." The Justicar said, running towards the sound of the screams. Soon he came across a stampede of people running away from the source of the screams, screaming them selves. "Bloody idiots." The Justicar said, jumping on top of a marketstall to climb to the roofs. From then on it was easy, jumping from building to building. In the distance he saw a dome of stone, probably around an inn or something. The Justicar stopped as he reached the last building, noticing another Justicar on the ground, dealing with the situation. "Velon" The Justicar muttered, jumping down from the building. As he landed on both feet, you could tell that the two were miles apart in rank. One one hand, The rogue Justicar. He was wearing a ragged grey cloak over a worn leather armor. Velon was wearing the clean, standerd armor of Paladins, bright white, spotless armor, with his signiture polish, royal rapier. "Velon. Dlondar here, do you need assistance?" Dlondar asked, knowing the answer already.
Wuu.
Ricor felt the cold touch of the rapier in his neck and grinned. "Velon... What you are doing here is not the way a warrior should fight." He said and turned around, facing Velon. "But what is there to expect from the likes of a Justicar? They are mere puppets for the people of New Babylon..." He stopped his talk, and a red aura started surrounding him, "Do you really think that New Babylon will survive the crushing might of the Heretics? By thinking this, i am vowed to see you as an enemy whom i will crush! Anger Trade!" The red aura collapsed around Ricor, and his muscled body became even more muscled, and he unsheathed his Two Handed Kopesh, and leapt towards Velon fastly sweeping his sword towards him. Aesirson
Velon jumped into the air, skillfully dodging the khopesh. He was now about 15 feet in the air (that's around 4½ meter) as he had lowered his own weight at the time of the jump. As he slowly fell towards the ground he looked towards Dlondar."Your orders are to stand by for now. If your common sense tells you to help me, then do."At the moment Velon's feet touched the ground he looked at Ricor and pointed his rapier towards him."I don't know who your leader is this time, but your fait will be the same as last time you challanged the Justicars. You can either go tell your leader that we will be ready, or you may face the end now."
Wuu.
"Hmp... Don't make promises you can't keep, Velon..." He grinned as he regained his somewhat orthodox stance. "The last time i challenged the Justicars i took down plenty of them, but i dissapeared after that confrontation. Do you really think that i was dead, Velon?" Ricor decided not to go into a confrontation again for a few seconds and awaited until his enemy would attack, as he knew that even though his strength was like that of an ox, he could not match Velon's skill with the sword. Aesirson
"I already know your attack pattern." Velon said and looked at Ricor. One could see in his eyes that he had a plan, but he still kept the melancholic expression in his face. "With such an heavy body you must regain full control of your body to make your attacks effective... But if I took that control from you, I could greatly lower your battle potential." At the sudden he finnished the sentence the ground below both of them started to shake, and the piece of ground they were standing on started to levitate into the air (Dlondar is far away enough not to stand on this piece of ground) and moments later it shattered, but the pieces of it was still levitating inside a domelike area."This is the counterabillity I trained in case we would skirmish once more." Velon was still standing on a piece of ground, but Ricor was unfortunate enough to be levitating along with the ground. ((And that's Upheaval of Gravity, one of Velon's abillities. Remember that both Ricor and Velon is weigthless as long as they stay inside the domelike area, so both their bodies and melee attacks are made lighter.)) Wuu.
"You are smart a one, Velon, that hasn't changed about you, but remember that i can make you die in a hole with no possible way out!" Ricor thrusted his handpalm in the direction of Velon, and hard ground started to crawl on Velon, and he was stuck to the ground, at the meantime a second layer start encasing Velon at a fast rate. "Remember that as long as i can smell, see, or feel ground i will do anything i please with it!" By using the Ground Manipulation he was born with again, the abnormally buff muscles faded away, and Ricor retained his normal state.
Aesirson
Velon, now locked into the ground looked at Ricor and a sweatdrop dripped from his forehead, but his face still didn't change. With his right hand, the one he was holding his rapier in, locked by the encasing stone he instead aimed his left palm just next to Ricor. He then shot a black ball out of it. The black ball passed by Ricor and then stopped around 5 feet behind him (1.5m) "You should watch your back." He said, closing his palm. At the moment his hand closed, the black ball imploded and dragged all levitating pieces of ground into itself, including Ricor (who was dragged slower then the stone, though) As this abillity canceled Velon's Upheaval of Gravity, the piece of ground that he was standing on fell into the crater underneath him and shattered, setting him free. In the air, however, the rocks ghad now formed a sort of micro-planet levitating just above the head of Dlondar.
Mighty Platypus
Candlelight glinted off the crumbling bone mask of Mika that barely hid a grin the size of a large grapefruit. While a majority of his compatriots stared in horror at the limp body of their former ally lying on the ground like a piece of broken plastic, it was all Mika could do not to laugh hysterically at his superior's fate. His hand slowly rose into the air, ripping through the tension like it was a piece of paper. "I have an idea."
Aesirson
The other Heretics looked at Mika, some with grins and some with an expression of disgust on their faces. Lily, however, seemed to be smiling, but since her mask covered her mouth one couldn't be very sure."Let's hear it then, Mr Jones..." She slowly said, slowly drumming her scythe at the table where the dead Heretic had been sitting. Each time it touched the table it left a little bit of the dead man's blood on the table, and some of the other Heretics looked at the blood with the same disgust as they ahd shown when Lily killed their comrade and when Mika had laughed. Mighty Platypus
Mika's smile thinned as he began to speak. "It's rather simple, ma'am. What we need to do to take over Babylon is get rid of the king and reinstate someone else. However, it we do it in a way that seems suspicious at all, especially if very blunt-" Mika gestured toward the rubberized body that was a focus of attention-"those blasted Justicars will get it. What I'm proposing is to replace the king with a look-alike of sorts. After a spy kills him, of course." With that, Mika began to blur before morphing into a replica of one of the palace guards in full armor. "See what I mean?"
Wuu.
Being lightly afraid of seeing that he was being pulled towards it, he nullified the chance of being absorbed into it he almost automatically turned into a four legged creature of pure massive stone, and smashed into the ground. Once on the ground he immediatly locked onto Velon and started charging towards him with relative speed, making only primal noises that could be linked to that of an enraged beast. Aesirson
Lily looked at the boy, who had now transformed into a New Babylon guard with full armor."Impressive... I think that you're plan will do just fine!" Lily raised from her throne, still holding her scythe. "If no one has any questions or any other suggestions, then dismissed. Except you, Mika Jones."As the other Heretics started to walk away, one particular big one carrying the dead, boneless body away."Before we set this plan into motion, I think that you should go recruit an old Heretic by the name Ricor Khandak. I'm not sure if he know that we exist, but make sure that he know..."--Velon reacted quickly to Ricor's new attack, and once again dodged it by jumping. But this time he landed on the back of Ricor."Since you're not giving up, I'll have to end it here." He then stuck the rapier into the back of the Heretic, not fataly deep, but deep enough to paralyze his opponent for a short time.He then jumped off the back of Ricor and landed next to his Justicar comrade."Dlondar, let's go..." Wuu.
"Ugh!" Ricors eyes turned white because of the paralysisand he fell down, the rock began to retreat into the original ground How can this be! How can i still be losing against those Justicars! He thought deeply in his mind, just before he slipped off into coma. His body layed there unconscious, with his Kopesh buried half into the ground. Cozmosus
John was sitting in his workshop, adding the final touch to his new cane. He just needed a new technology that was being created in the ministers tower. He had heard from his scource that they were creating a morphing plastic that could expand and shrink to a certain size. Not much, but it was all he needed. John walked to the building. There were two guards at either side of the door. He needed to take out both at a time. John began turning a dial, and spoke into it. "Trouble at the bank, it's a Heretic." One guard left, and ran down the street. The next part was so simple, he just walked up to the other guard and sprayed a re mist in his face. John brought out a pill, and stuck it in a lock. It the lock began simmering, and then melted. John walked in the door. There was another door at the end of the hallway. He knew there would be trouble.
Otaku-sama
Nanako skillfully walked along the side of the Hanging Garden wall, balancing herself with the skill of a cat despite her heavy armour. The sun was just peeking over the horizon and the bright light flooded the inside of her helmet. Night duty at the Gardens was incredibly boring as no one, even the Heretics, would want to deface one of the most glorious buildings of Bablyon. Everyone was proud of it and destroying it would be worse than leveling the city. As Nanako continued to balance, a couple of other guards walked in, brandishing their pikes and talking about some mudane topic before they noticed Nanako fooling around. "Umm...Justicar, your shift is over. You may leave," one guard said simply. "Sweet. I'm out!" Nanko quickly replied, jumping off the wall. The shocked and astonished guards rushed to the side of the wall to see that Nanako had landed on the ground perfectly fine, whistling no particular tune while spinning her pole around as she walked away from a large crater she had made. She made a beeline for the Tower of Babel, taking off her massive helmet, taking a deep breath. She didn't feel particularly tired, but she was famished. When she reached the Tower, she burst into the mess hall and found some food that was ever present in the mess. She looked around to make sure no one would see and gorged herself with reckless abandon. Of couse, she wouldn't be eating this fast around others, but hell, she was really hungry. Cozmosus
John checked his map of the building plans. There were a few traps in the hallway, but nothing he couldn't handle. The floor was electrically charged, except for a path on the side. As John moved allong the wall, he noticed on the plan, that there was a dart shooter. Without looking up, he sprayed a mist to his right, which instantly hardened and caught the darts. He stopped, and flicked some dust in front of him. There was a lazer field in front of him. He brought out a mirror, and stuck it in front of a lazer, while at the same time, pointing a lazer pointer at the sensor the lazer was previously pointing at. He aimed the lazer at the eye scanner at the end of the hallway. The device was shorted out. John walked towards the door, and opened it. Before him was the vault that held the new teechnology. The Warden
Miles had returned to his lab after Velon's slightly scathing words. There was a telescope set up to observe the city, and he had been gleefully watching the fight between Velon and Ricor. 'Oh ho ho ho, talk about being........a show off. Doing that right in plain sight? I was tempted to help him.......but he didn't really need help, good for him' he laughed, keeping up his unusual pauses, before taking a longing look at his dart gun. 'Soon, my precious'.
