I really want S.T.A.R.S Jill as a Alt costume for Jill in this game.

 

I really hate what Capcom did to her for RE5.... Also Jill's Beret always gave her a Cute side.

 

Well, you never know. Maybe in the future, there could be some DLC that gives her her S.T.A.R.S. outfit?

 

Or maybe they'll give it to her from the start? Since she ain't finished, last I checked.

Taken from an interview between Eurogamer and Niitsuma (translated):

Ryota Niitsuma: Indeed, we could not choose characters that were not on [Marvel's] list, and if there were some we wanted to use Marvel told us "do not pick that, take this one instead." In this sense, we wanted to bring back a couple of characters from MvC2, such as Juggernaut and Sentinel, but we could not.

A big difference between the last game is that MvC 3 doesn’t have any clone characters - every single character has a unique fighting style. We wanted this to be a celebration of Capcom and the addition of Ken would make it a lopsided roster toward one franchise. "

(This last one is a rough translation) The original Mega Man (i.e. Classic) has very few techniques and wouldn't mesh well with the rest of the characters , he would be decompensated (something along the lines of "underpowered"). For that same reason, we chose Zero to represent the saga (franchise, probably?). For Gambit, the truth is that we offered him to Marvel, but they told us that they didn't want to exploit him.

1) Tron Bonne doesn't count anymore?

Also, they only said Classic Megaman. Their are like 4/5 other Megamen so he still has a chance.

 

 

So, safe bet that Frank will be DLC.

 

X was deconfirmed as well, bruthah. I think .EXE was as well? Don't remember off-hand. Either way, every Mega Man has a shot at DLC, though.

 

And I guess you could say Frank's a pretty safe bet for DLC, since I doubt they would want all the work on him to go to waste.

I know about X being a no. Never heard anything about EXE, but I'll take your word for it. We still have 2/3 other Megamen left, so it's not like their odds are 0. Granted their odds aren't good, but still, they still have a fighting chance.

 

also, do you really think Dark Spine is being 100% serious in that post?

Of the 3, Volnutt has the highest chance (relatively speaking), and that's only because he has a moveset from TvC. Then you remember that Tron's in this, so you're like "forget it".

using Zero was just a stupid excuse to not make something new and just copy/paste it from Tatsunoko >.>. They already had the model for him so capcom was like "Yo lets ditch all the stuff the fans like and put the highly overated Zero to just screw around with they're minds"

They could have just as easily taken Volnutt from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and called it a day. The fact that they didn't means that it wasn't solely for that reason. What would that reason be? The fact that people in general didn't really like his moveset. Much like how people really aren't fond of Mega Man's moveset in Marvel vs. Capcom 1/2. It's very possible that he's getting a moveset overhaul and being released as DLC much like Jill.

Eurogamer: The game is out soon, so you must be finished balancing the characters. Which character proved to be the most challenging to balance? Any regrets?

 

Ryota Niitsuma: The most difficult character to balance and tune was Arthur. Arthur's original appearance in Ghost n' Goblins had so many perks that made the game what it was. The way he jumps, the way he moves, those had to be retained. But in order to fit all of those elements into a fighting game that works with other characters, there was a lot of work involved.

So they put in Arthur instead of three characters with existing movesets so that they'd have to do less work, huh? Next you'll be telling me that they put in MODOK because the game had too many quirky characters.

 

2) The fact that you think that X-23 and Wolverine have the same moves means that you have no idea what you are talking about and should probably stop lowering your credibility. The "retard from capcom who said that there aren't any clone characters" also mentioned that though Ryu and Akuma have similar moves, their play styles are much different, so don't act like he's not even acknowledging them.

 

3) No one said he didn't belong in the previous titles. Not sure what they meant by the whole "adapt the original into a fighting game" thing, but it's probably just a cover-up for a different reason that they refuse to disclose.

 

4) .EXE was in Onimusha Blade Warriors, which was a fighting game done primarily with swords. MMZ Zero was also in Onimusha Blade Warriors as well as SNK vs. Capcom. Yes, those points are true. How does this bolster your argument in any way?

 

I'll give up and admit you're right when you actually start making sense and say something that would give me reason to concede.

Oh, BTW, this was found on the X-Play site by someone on GameFAQ:

Capcom has revealed two new characters on the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster, and we'll take an early look.

Dunno if this means we're getting two more characters revealed, or if they're just going to show us some gameplay of Akuma and Taskmaster. Either way, you might want to take a look. I can't since I don't have G4 (not that it matters since, y'know, X-Play sucks)

 

EDIT: It could also be a rerun that shows Phoenix and Haggar. Just lettin' ya know in advance.Yep, it's Phoenix and Haggar.
