At +4, STAB Dark Pulse will rape everything in its sight. You only use Focus Blast if you are at +2 or +0 and need a quick kill against an opposing Darkrai or Dialga. Once you actually get two Nasty Plots up, you better as hell use Dark Pulse, since it will do massive damage!

I am learning how to abuse RNG, since using the AR to modify a Pokemon is illegal.

 

I will have a trade thread, so you guess should like, come, and like, trade for stuff in it on smogon.

 

I've never used a lead Swampert. Have any of you ever almost fully swept with a lead Jirachi? Got 5 KOs via flinches and Iron Heads.

 

Using an AR is not illegal, as long as your Pokemon are legitimate. Unless you mean VGCs.

I wish GameFreak just ADDED TMs to the list instead of taking out TMs that may impact the metagame a lot. But I'm glad they took out SR; no one likes SR. =)

With every change to the metagame, there will be alterations that nobody likes, I guess...

Dark Pulse isn't a major deal, since a lot of Pokemon that frequently use it (Houndoom, Darkrai) learn it via level-up, I think. I'm not entirely sure on my level-up movesets, but I don't think losing Dark Pulse is a huge deal. Dragon Pulse is a bigger deal, though.

 

And Taunt is a huge deal. And Roost is also a huge deal; now Zapdos and Articuno and the likes don't have decent healing moves. And now Lugia has to resort to Recover, so he can't avoid Electric- and Ice-type attacks as easily.

And I do think people would rather have the Poison chance than have 5 measly more Base Power. But maybe they have different movepool-learnings, so other Pokemon would have access to the Sludge Bomb-ripoff.

 

I'm glad Rock Smash is a TM and isn't a required HM. Although I never liked Rock Smash; as an HM and as a move in general.

Most Smogonites don't give a damn; as long as your moveset is legal, as long as your nature-IV combo is legal, and as long as your stats are legal, it's a Pokemon that you can get in-game. As long as it's possible to get it in-game (it doesn't matter if you know enough about RNG to or not), it's legal, but not legitimate. Most people won't care, and even if they do, they'd have to enter a trade with you to prove that you are "hacking".

The reason I am RNGing, is so I can get a trade thread, making it easier to get stuff I want.

I suggest starting to RNG with shiny legends. I've been RNGing for over a year now, and let me tell you, trying to get a perfect-IVd, perfect-natured Pokemon in the wild is really tough. One Pokemon takes me upwards of two hours, and it requires constant soft resetting and pinpoint accuracy on your part (in terms of frames).
