GET RID OF N00BS

sup ppls im new here on the forums (not really)

while i am new to posting things i hav been watching the posts made by other users

while i think its a great idea to b able to post the cards you hav made, im getting really tired of the ridiculously overpowered cards new users post

i dont think its too much to ask for a way that new users hav to view a certain number of cards before they are allowed to post there own

 

i mean come onnn how many ppl are tired of seeing this

 

there has to b a way so that n00bs like that are not wasting our time

 

so pls help me think of some more ideas to get rid of this problem

obviously locking the topic hasnt done much because they keep coming

and fyi iv been using card maker for 4 years and i havnt posted a card because ive been using the system to make anime only cards

so wat if i havnt posted cards

doesnt mean i dont know squat

and last but not least

ive been having difficulties with my account which were finally resolved 10 minutes ago

Very well, than onto your idea of "n00bs" having to have a certain amount of cards saved before being able to post. Lets say this amount is 25, for example. What would stop them from having all 25 cards be like "Super ultra mega exodia"? All you can do is deal with it, give them advice, and hope they get better.

i was trying to make a good suggestion but i must hav done it at the wrong time

because the only feedback im getting is negative

how about they comment on 25 diffent cards that were previosly posted before posting their own

Well I am a Custom Cards Mod (J-Max at your service) When I am unbanned in 7 Weeks or so. I will gladly look into this suggestion.

I dont think so, MyBB isnt that advanced. Theres ways to not allow members to post in certain places until they get a certain amount of posts, but not a certain amount of posts in a certain place.

Maybe you need to pass a test before posting a card.

The test would be going over the card and you would have to click the correct boxes on how to make the card

You know, this doesn't sound like a bad idea. I agree that monsters like the example in your post are pretty unacceptable even for really new people. My first cards weren't that ridiculously powerful. I think people new to this place should have at least a little knowledge on how people make cards here.

Maybe like a mod could make a thread where cards had to be approved before people can post it somewhere else and the mods say where the thread should go? I have no idea :P.

While I am tired off seeing new members post cards like that I am also tired of threads that suggest making new members not being able to do anything on YCM.

Not exactly; this just prevents them from being hated (as your member title says), and they could still post until they probably know enough about OCG and OP and UP that when they're ready, you'll see some good cards.

Prevents them from being hated? Most new members don't even know what OCG is! they make these cards for the fun off it and post cards with the wrong OCG and some of their wording is understandable but members just bash their cards highly because of those errors.

 

And because they make them for fun the members around here get yelled at by the author because they rate the card 2/10 or lower because the card is bad and often does not understand its for fun.

That just says the members here set out to criticize the cards which does not help the user get better if they don't post something positive about it.
