DARKPLANT RISING
Harry Potter...Without doubt, the most overrated series ever besides Eragon. Seriously, Bartimaeus, Demonata, Darren Shan, Pendragon, and PJ are much more FTW. In this meta, it's not going to live long. Why does everyone love this? NOTE-Luna Lovegood must not look at this topic.
Brushfire
Eragon isn't overrated. >_> But I do believe the reason most people like Harry Potter is because... well, it's easy to relate to. Everything about it ties in with our world perfectly, and there's a reason for why our kind of people wouldn't know about the magical world. It's aimed at teenagers, with teenagers as the main characters. Again, easy to relate to.

Fidel Castro
Good books horriable movies. Most of the movies ruined what i thought most of the characters looked like. Especially movie 4... i hada completely diffrent idea on how mad-eye looked like... (I always imagined him a bit skinnier with a more rounded, less pudgy, head... and i never imagined him wearing a faux eyepatch thing to keep his fake eye in) Again for movie 4... Fleur... looks completely diffrent from what i was thinking. All i have to say is thank god for makeup. She isn't ugly persay... Just not what you would think she looked like from what the book said. But then again the camel toe shots make up somewhat for this.
JadenxAtemYAOI
The 6th was godawful. They left out Phlegm, the Goblet, the ring's story, basically every tale of Tom working for that one guy's shop. Along with his origins.

I think that has mostly to do with your short attention span. Exposition exists in all decent books, so learn to deal with it.

Then don't call a book overrated in you haven't finished the first book. That would be like me walking into The Hangover for the first four minutes, and then calling it a bad movie. CarlinFan
I am telling the complete truth when I say I read all seven books and can barely remember any details. This isn't due to a faulty memory on my part; it's simply because the books are so dull that I haven't bothered to remember anything. I do know that I can easily name five other literary protagonists that are far more interesting, relatable, and memorable. Double that number for villains. Voldemort was quite honestly the most boring villain I've ever had the mispleasure of reading about. I cared very little for the characters, I wasn't engaged in the story, and I spent the majority of the time during the final battle hoping Harry would catch a stray Avada Kedrava so I could be free of that miserable little maggot. The books are overrated, dull, and far from literary classics.

DARKPLANT RISING
True. owait... did he actually do something major in the plot, really? Scabbers did, but he didn't I think. It's lolzy how this goes with a giant lot of the characters. This might be a valid reason for why I don't really like it.

CarlinFan
My current violent anti-overrated series fantasy is Galen Marek (a.k.a. Starkiller) with a suit of Mandalorian Armor attacking Hogwarts. I just love that image.
