Ursula looked at Jay, then at Falcon, and back. "I'll be right back, wait here," she said, as she flew back to her home. When she arrived, Yang had already finished unpacking and took a nap. I'll wake him up later, she thought. She flew to where the Sky Bisons are held and went to Oathu. "Come on, Oathu. I've got a friend I want you to meet." She climbed on, and flew Oathu back to Jay and Falcon. She had her Sky Bison land and mingle with the Komodo Rhino, while she talked to her new friend. "Hey, Jay, how about a race? Riding Oathu and Falcon. First team to the ocean wins."

"Rise, my future sword maker," The Earth King said in joyful voice. "As much as I appreciate the sign of respect, I believe we have things to discuss. Tiberius, can you get our guest and yourself some comfortable chairs?" "Yes my King," Tiberius said as he called in a servant to get two chairs. Five minutes later, The two sat down in front of the Earth King. The Earth King looked Jecht in the Eyes, then spoke to Tiberius. "Do you know his name?" "Yes Sir," Tiberius stated. "His name is Jecht."

"Jecht," The Earth King said thoughtfully. "Sounds like a Airbender name. Anyway back to business. How good of a Sword Maker are you? Can you show me proof of you work?"

[Mr. Hyde]

He smiled. A sky bison v.s. a Komodo Rhino. It seemed highly unlikely he would win. Maybe if he had an Eel Hound, it'd be a different story. He nodded and jumped onto Falcon's saddle. "Let's do it" he said with a smile. He would have to make Falcon go as fast as he could. After all, Sky bisons were the first Airbenders. What if Bisons could bend the air around them to make them go faster. "3...2...1...GO!" As jay said go, Falcon took off.

Ursula quickly jumped onto Oathu and yelled yip-yip. Oathu took off, flying low to the ground. Ursula stood as Oathu was already passing Jay and Falcon. "Oathu, fly until the cliffs." She said to the Sky Bison, before turning her attention to her opponents. She was using her airbending to keep the wind from pushing her off. "HEY, JAY!!!" she yelled trying to catch his attention. She then started making silly faces to distract him. "(:P) (;d) (8&) (=3) (:€) (o_o) (-v-)" She continued like this until she felt her face pulse with pain. She massaged her cheeks hoping to ease it, when suddenly, she fell over on her back. They had reached the ocean, and she and Oathu had won. She stood back up on Oathu, and looked to Jay. "Hah! I won! In your--" Ursula stopped and looked off in the distance. She could barely make out the shadow of the Northern Water Tribe. "Hey, Jay, look! You can see the Northern Water Tribe from here!"

[Mr. Hyde]

Jay laughed as she was trying to distract him. It almost worked seeing that Falcon was having trouble navigating the rocks by himself. When they reached the cliffs, Falcon jumped from cliffside to cliffside. Jay heard her say she could see the Water Tribe. Falcon crawled up to the top of a cliff as they stared out onto the ocean. She was right, the frozen civilization was amazingly awesome. "Pretty cool..." he said to Ursula.

"Yea. I've always wanted to go there, but I don't like to travel. Not alone at least. My father is often busy training young monks here, so we can't leave." Ursula said sadly. She then, awkwardly realized that wasnt a burden Jay needed, so she tried to change the subject. "So, Jay, I wonder who the next Avatar is going to be. I heard its a firebender. Wouldnt it be cool if it was you?" Then, she got an idea. "Hey, the first element the Avatar would need to learn is Air. Lets see if you're the Avatar. I'll try to teach you airbending! Whaddaya say?"

[Mr. Hyde]

Jay looked slightly confused. "I thought the next avatar was gonna be an Earth Bender...But i'll try it." he said with a huff. He smiled and waited for her to come down. She was cute. Maybe he could take her with him. Just like Toph had did with aang. Just ditch the parents and leave all your cares behind. But that was Jay. It probably wasn't for her. Nothing to worry about.

"Oh, no, the last Avatar was Earth, Avatar Kishu. This next one's Fire." Ursula said. She jumped from Oathu onto Falcon, then onto a cliff a few meters from Jay. She then started to quote her father when he trained her in airbending. "Everything has energy in it, even air. Air has a lot more power in it than you think. Watch." Ursula looks towards a tree, and shoots a ball of air at it, knocking down all the leaves in it save one. She looks back at Jay. "To airbend, you have to 'connect' with the energy in the air. When you do, you simply...push." When she said 'push', she sent a wave of air at Jay, knocking him over on his butt. "Hehehe. Get up and try it."

[Mr. Hyde]

"Whoah....you're right...i could be the next Avatar...But i doubt it..." There were so many benders born when she died, he didn't even know if he was. He got up from his pitiful position on the ground and breathed in. He snorted out smoke on accident and sneezed. After wiping his nose, he started to feel the breeze. He tried putting his own chi in it and pushing. "God...this is lame..." he said with a sigh. He tried again, but this time, Falcon's eye twitched like it was being hit by the breeze of a fan. Jay scratched his head. "Nah..."

"'NAH' NOTHING. OH GOD, YOU JUST AIRBENDED!!" Ursula said in shock. What was at first, to her, a simple boy from Ba Sing Se on a Komodo Rhino, is now the amazing Avatar able to bend everything. She couldnt believe it. "Try it again! Knock over the last leaf in that tree" Ursuls points to the tree she 'shaved' a few moments ago. She was so excited. She needed to calm down. She felt her heart pumping, hard. She relaxed and breathed slowly. "Whew. Try it again."

[Mr. Hyde]

Jay was kind of excited. "It would be crazy huh?" he asked her. Again, he focused his chi into the air around the leaf. The leaf twisted and turned until it was ripped into a bunch of shreds. "No way....NO WAY!" he said in suprise. "I'm the f'n AVATAR!" he yelled and screamed jumping in the air. "There's no way Ursula!" he said hugging her. "There's no way Oathu!" he said petting the sky bison. "THERE'S NO WAY FALCON!" Falcon snorted.

"WOOHOO!!!" Ursula cheered, happy for Jay. Then she blushed when he hugged her. After a few more moments of cheering...

 

"So, youre the Avatar... Now what do we do?" Ursula posed a very good question. No one was in danger. There was no war. He wasnt frozen in an iceberg. Now what?? She didnt have the skill to fully train him. "OH I KNOW! We'll take you to see my dad! He's the head monk. He'll train you." Ursula was about to get on Oathu, but- "Oh, but how will Falcon get up to the Northern Air Temple?"

[Mr. Hyde]

"I don't know what to do...Maybe i'm just some freaky half-airbender, half-firebender hybrid...." There wasn't really any need for him. "Well...if we have to go see your dad, i can just leave Falcon here. He'll stay. He likes the Earth Lillies that grow around here." Falcon nodded and started to eat the Earth Lillies all around him. "And if any poachers come, he can defend himself. So let's go." he said with a smile, hopping onto Oathu.

"I'm not an expert in biology, but I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a bending hybrid." Ursula said half jokingly. "Well then, if Falcon's staying, then let's go." Ursula got on Oathu and said yip-yip. Oathu headed for the Northern Air Temple, leaving Falcon to eat Earth Lillies. When they arrived, Ursula led Jay into her home, where her father lay sleeping on his bed (there's only four rooms: Living, Kitchen, Bath, and Ursula's. Yang sleeps in Living room). "Oh, hold on." She said, going over to the kitchen and getting the frying pan she got from Ba Sing Se. She went over to his bed and hit him over the head. "WAKE UP!!!" she yelled. Yang got up quickly, and noticed its still the same day.

 

"What is it, Ursula?" he said.

 

"I've got a firebender I need you to teach airbending to."

 

Yang, now fully awake, looked at Ursula, confused. He then looked at Jay, wondering who he was. "Uh...you dont mean..."

 

"Yessir!"

 

Yang got up, realizing what was going on, and looked to Jay again. "Can you bend air at all?"

[spoiler=ALTERNATE POST]...Yang, now fully awake, looked at Ursula, confused. Then looked at Jay. "...you dont mean."

 

"Yessir!"

 

"A hybrid?!?!"

 

Ursula hit her father on the head with the frying pan again. "NO! THE MOTHER F'N AVATAR."

[Mr. Hyde]

Jay looked around the house upon arrival. It was way better than his house. He didn't even have one at the moment. When Ursula whacked her father over the head with a skillet, he kind of flinched. When he was asked if he could bend air, he got nervous. "I...uhm...i think..." he said flicking a finger, blowing some of Ursula's hair up. That was basically the best he could do at the moment. It still was cool though.

Yang chuckled at what little ability this boy had. But he knew, with training, this boy could be a pro. But there was one problem Yang thought of that Ursula didnt. "'You think' nothing. You can airbend. Though how little prowess you possess, I can train you. But, could you wait outside for a moment." Yang led Jay outside for a moment and closed the door. "Where did you find him?" he asked Ursula, with his voice low.

 

"Ba Sing Se. Why?"

 

"There are plenty of peddlers in Ba Sing Se. He could just have an air-gun in his sleeve."

 

"No. I saw him airbend a leaf that was plenty of meters away."

 

"You cant trust people so quickly."

 

"Dad, believe me, he's the avatar."

 

".....fine. But if you're wrong, no more training, and no more frying pan." Yang rubbed the back of his head. Yang grabbed his staff and opened the door. "Follow me." Yang said to Jay, as he walked towards the training area. When they got there, there was no one training, which is normal because today is Yang's day off. "Go grab a staff over there." Yang pointed to a wall, where there lay many different colored and shaped staves. "What's your name?"

[Mr. Hyde]

He followed Jay's father and looked at all of the amazing staves. He grabbed a purple one and bowed before yang. "The name's Jay. Jay Yang. Firebender...sorta extrodinair." he shot fireballs in a display of his firebending. "Sorry..." he said.

Falcon snorted. He couldn't believe he missed the little kid who rode him all day. At least he had plenty of lillies to eat.

Yang smiled at two things. One, at the coincidences in their names. Two, how cocky this kid got so quickly. Yang used his airbending to blow the fireballs away from the temple walls. He then sent a wave of air at Jay, knocking him over, and blowing the staff out of his hand. All with airbending; all without moving from the same spot. "Undisciplined. Unfocused. One of these two problems need to be fixed if you are to learn airbending." Yang walked over to Jay and helped him up, but took his staff. "Go get a new one."

[Mr. Hyde]

Jay pouted. When he was helped up, he walked over to the staff rack. This time he got a blue one. He tried to airbend a little before going back. When he walked back over, he sighed. "This is gonna be terrible..." he said to himself. Jay kept thinking about Ursula. "Why can't she train me..." he said in his head. He let his chi flow through him, into the air surrounding him. "Airbending's not that hard master Yang."

Yang and Ursula both felt a little insulted at what Jay said. Ursula forgave it quickly, but Yang didnt. Yang knew he was going to have to fix Jay's two problems himself. Yang used his airbending to push Jay against the wall, hard, knocking the staff out of his hand. Yang used airbending to bring it to him. "Go get another one."

 

Ursula could see where this was going. Yang hated when people say martial arts is easy. He was going to prove it wasnt. It was about to get ugly. "Ima go check on Falcon. Um..bye!" Ursula quickly rushed out of the area. She went to go see Oathu, but he was unwilling. He was tired from all the flying and heavy lifting. "Okay then, I'll go by myself." Ursula said, taking her Glider Staff and jumping off the edge. She flew back to Falcon. He was still there, eating Earth Lillies. "Hey Falcon, are you okay?"

[Mr. Hyde]

Jay scratched his head in frustration. "FINE!" he yelled. He walked back over to the rack and grabbed another purple glider. "So what now Master Yang. What have you got for me?" he asked making a little air ball that he twirled in between his fingers. "I mean...like are we doing excersises or something?" Jay was suddenly cocky now that he was the new avatar.

Falcon was suprised Ursula came to visit him. But he got depressed seeing Jay wasn't with her. He snorted and went back to eating Lillies.

Jecht felt kinda weird how Tiberius was introducing him more than himself. "Well, Sir, most of my "work" is outside of the city and most of that has been destroyed by thieves. But I do have have my sabre." He said drawing his sword. It was light and sharp it was strong if he was fighting someone with his own sword. He presented it to the Earth King knowing someone would probably take the sword and bring it to him instead of Jecht coming up to him, considering how well guard he was.

Ursula petted Falcon on his head. "Oh, feeling lonely without Jay?" Ursula knew how he felt. She despised being alone (unless she was relaxing). She started thinking of a way to get this huge Komodo Rhino up to the Air Temple, but nothing came to mind. She didnt want Falcon to be so depressed, so she squated down to his head's level and said, "So, whadaya wanna do?"

Yang was now getting pissed off at how arrogant this kid is getting. He walked over to Jay and took his glider staff. He grabbed his wrist and opened his hand palm-side-up. He then broke the glider staff into little peices and took a small bit of it. He made a ball of air and 'placed' it in Jay's hand. He then put the bit of staff on the air-ball so it is floating. "Stay here and keep it up until I get back." he said, then went off to the nearest corridor.

[Mr. Hyde]

"Great...." he said with a sigh. He let the ball of air balance the little wooden chip in the air. "Man...i think i liked that glider the most." he said with a sniff. He rolled the ball of air up and down his arm slowly, making sure the chip wouldn't fall. "Wonder how long this'll take." he said begining to sit down.

Falcon snorted again. He wasn't really all that energetic except when he wanted to be. He was a very rare creature. A lazy Komodo Rhino. He put his paws over his eyes, then opened them, almost like pikaboo.

[LuffyLaxer]

"Tiberius," The Earth King said pointing at the sword. "Could you hand me the sword please?" Tiberius nodded and took the sword from Jecht and handed it on to the Earth King. The Earth King pulled the sword from the scabbard and looked at it up and down. "Micheal!" A Random guard appeared before the Earth King. "Bring me the Weapon test." "Yes Sir." Michael Replied he bowed and went to get it. Five minutes later, Michael came back with Bamboo Test dummy. The Earth King looks at the Sword. "This sword has remarkable craftsmanship. But now we shall put this to the test. Tiberius, you know what to do."

"Yes My King," Tiberius answered as he took of his official robes. Underneath were sparring clothes. Tiberius took the sword and practiced with it.Then Tiberius walked over towards the Dummy and in one chop, sliced the bamboo dummy in half.

The Earth King smiled. "Good, it has passed the test." The Earth King Rises from his throne and stands in front of Jecht. "What you do does a great deal of service to me and the Earth Kingdom. For you remarkable skill, I shall name you the Earth Kingdom's Weapon Maker." The Earth King reaches into his pocket and grabs the Weapon Maker Medallion and puts it on Jecht.
