Kana looked at her enemy, the six paths that stood in front of her. She rushed at them, completely aware of what she was facing. She held up her mirror and a rift opened up in the spirit world they were in. She grabbed one of the Khanti path and ran out, closing the rift. Kana had came to the conclusion that fighting one alone would allow her to beat it quickly. She was also aware of the strength that her master possessed. He would be strong enough to handle the paths on his own.

 

Kana put her mirror away in her akatsuki cloak. Suddenly, bodies of the dead appeared everywhere. Blood was spilling out, and demons sheering out of these bodies. Even without hand signs, Kana had activated her True Fear Genjutsu. She did it where not even an adept in genjutsu would know it was active.

 

"My jutsu and abilities revolve around the dead and the spirit world. I warn you now, if you wish to see the mind of hell itself, you may stay and fight. If not, please prepare to die."

The Khanti Path stared at Kana intently. "I've warned you, but now, I will take the meteor by force." The Khanti Path held out his hand and ripped a fissure in the dimension, opening a pathway where the Upekkha Path and the Viriya Path walked through. "I have the power to control space and time itself. Just hand over the meteor now, this is your last chance girl." the Khanti Path stated coldly.

 

Hiraku was faced against the Panna Path, the Sila Path, and the Dana Path. "We've warned you, so now, we must take it by force....." The Panna Path disappeared and reappeared behind Hiraku with amazingly quick speed and slashed down with a kunai. Hiraku quickly sidestepped and threw a log onto the ground. The log then began to grow and became a giant tree. "Allow me to show you the power of my clan...." Hiraku stated.

[Envoy of Twilight]

Zaraii blinked a few times as the many people went into a portal in a mirror, one with the meteor. "Oh that's great", he said, smirking. "Now what am I supposed to do with my time", he said, frowning. Zaraii sighed as he bagan to walk away from the village. "Maybe I'll try and find that Zero Tailed beast. Dark chakra could come in handy", he said with boredom. As he was walking, he heard a voice in his head. "Where are you going?", said the voice. He looked around. "It's me, the Nibi, you moron", it said almost smugly. "What do you want", Zaraii said, a little sceptical talking to himself. "Oh I just wanted to say hi", it said. Zaraii shook his head as he walked down the dirt path.

(sorry for this here long awaited second post, inscanet access gone for sunday and monday... But now the fun begins! and yes, I love dramatic entrances.)

 

The area around Hikaru and the three of the six paths became dark as a cloud moved over the sun. A thick blanket of mist shrouded the ground around all four of the combatants feet. A few feet away from where Hiraku and the three paths were standing, a figure rose up through the mist with ink black darkness. The same Akatsuki from the abandoned village stood there, his head bent to hid his face.

"You can't seem to keep up for anything can you, Hiraku?" he whispered to himself as he slowly lifted his head and assisted the situation. He didn't wait to see if they had noticed him, he didn't wait to even let Hikaru know it was him making the mist. He only acted.

"Bind them my creations..."

From the shade and the mist on the ground, six shadowy beasts jumped out from the darkness and dragged the three six paths still in their deminsion to the ground. The beasts were almost human in shape, besides the tail and what appeared to be fur. But nothing else resembeled a human. Their eyes were a solid yellow and their skin (and fur) were inky black.

The akatsuki member who had summoned the beasts watched as their claws restrained each of the three paths limbs. He looked over at Hiraku and asked, "What have you been doing all the way back here?"

Hiraku was confused about what was happening. "Now what could be happening now?" The three Paths were binded to the ground by the beasts. However, they seemed emotionless as ever as they looked at the beasts. Hiraku then noticed Toto. "Oh it's Toto, hey wait a minute, does that mean you were insulting me?! You brat! I'm the elder here so pay your respects to me, got that!" Hiraku yelled at Toto. "And why are you so late anyways?!"

[Navras]

Toto glared over at Hiraku. He hated the word 'Respect', especially towards those who are just plain older than he is.

"What do you mean I'm the one who's late!? you're the one who's been way behind me this whole time! I came back to check up on you and you're fighting whoever it is over there!" toto pointed over to the three he had pinned down, the sleeve of his akatsuki robe falling over his pointed finger. "And don't call me a brat! I don't care how old you are, if you're slow you're slow!"

A vein popped up on Hiraku's forehead. "Wh-wh-why you little- I may be a little bit slow, but just a little, got that! Sheesh, you really are something you know that Toto, you really are!" Just then a kunai went passed Hiraku. "What the hell? Hey you interrupted our conversation." Hiraku stated as he saw the three paths standing there with serious expressions. "Yo Toto, these guys are trying to take the meteor, and you know we're suppose to take that to the boss. So how's about we kill these guys?" Hiraku asked with a confident smile.

[Navras]

Toto looked over at the three who had just broken free from his inky beasts. He looked down at the ground and saw that all that was left of them was ink puddles on the ground.

'Incredible,' Toto thought to himself. 'It's been a long time since anyone has had enough power to break free of my beasts once they are turned...' Toto turned and faced his oponents full on.

"Fine, let's get this over with," Toto said as he made hand signs of his won creation. "Ink style, ink clone jutsu time four."

The puddles of ink behind the three paths rose up and took the exact shape of Toto, each one with the exact smae yellow eyes. All four of the clones jumped back and raised their hand. A kunai dormed form the ink in each of their hands and they grabbed it.

"Come on Hiraku, we'll talk later about how fast you are."

"Heh, right then." Hiraku formed his hand into the boar symbol and the tree began to produce clones of Hiraku. The Hiraku clones then charged at the three with kunais in their hands. The Dana Path held both hands outwards and invisible strings of chakra shot outwards, hitting all of the clones. The clones suddenly stopped with their attacks and then turned their attention to Toto and Hiraku. Suddenly, the clones charged at the two. The ink clones attacking Hiraku, and the plant clones attacking Toto. The Sila Path held one of its arm forwards and its arm opened up. The Sila Path then shot a barrage of tiny missles towards Hiraku and Toto.

Toto tilted his head to the side, made a few hand signs and tosed his hands up in front of him as the clones charaged at him. They all stopped in their paths and held perfectly still.

"Interesting... your chakra strings seem to incorporate an advanced version of the Puppet master jutsu..." toto fliocked his fingers and the four clones reluctantly turned back towards the paths.

"Very interesting indeed..."

As toto was saying this, the missiles sent by one of the paths hit both him and the clones. toto fell down to teh ground in a puddle of ink, and the clones were released from his puppet master jutsu.

"It seems you have figured out my special ability. Your intellect is a great value." the Dana Path stated as she continued to hold onto her chakra strings. "This ink ability of yours is very interesting indeed, it seems only you with your special chakra can use this ability. I'm honored to fight someone as strong as you, but it's a shame that you're not on the side of peace." the Dana Path flexed her fingers and made the Ink clones threw the kunais they were holding towards Hiraku. She then noticed the missles made impact with Toto and his puppet jutsu was released. The clones, instead of moving towards Toto, now stood there still.

 

Hiraku was able to dodge the kunais and jumped up just in time to dodge the missles. He then formed his hands into the boar symbol once more and sharp vines began to grow, piercing through the ink clones. Hiraku then turned to Toto. "Hey, you're not dead or ya?!" Hiraku yelled out. The Panna Path appeared next to Toto with a kunai in his hand.

Kana looked around at the 2 new allies the enemy had brought in. She continued with her Genjtsu.

 

"True Fear... Lets see what yours is."

 

Dead bodies came flying from the ground, and the surrounding scenery went an opaque black for a second. It then shifted back to normal and the surrounding appeared to be a village of some sorts. Sky ninja raided above were dropping bombs and powerful jutsu were being activated. Bodies were exploding and dying, blood being splattered on innocent streets.

 

"You fear your memories. You fear them from revitalizing to the surface. You are holding yourself back because you do not want to see this again."

 

While they were intrigued by the genjutsu before them, Kana prepared her other Jutsu called Karma. She unleashed it, and right before they hit, she released the genjutsu, allowing the physical pain to really manifest in an attempt to confuse the enemy. The tiny spirits that were summoned circled around the paths and struck them, hundred by hundred, but only small cuts.

 

The battle continued one with the retaliation of the paths though. After a few moments, a rift was opened up to were Hiraku was engaged in battle, and Kana was thrown in there, her face and hair covered in blood, at the feet of Hiraku.

 

"Lord Hiraku. I am sorry."

[Navras]

"Now why would i want such a boring gig as that?" Toto asked, appearing a ways away behind the three paths. "Peace is so boring, and besides that, it's an illusion." toto made a few hand signs and the ink from his earlier clone as well as the ones destroyed formed a new around him. "I much prefer chaos."

Hiraku landed onto the ground and faced the three paths. As Hiraku was about to attack, he noticed Kana coming from a portal and falling to the ground. His eyes opened widely with shock. "K-Kana...." Hiraku held Kana in his arms and watched as a dimension rift opened up with the other three paths coming out, holding the meteor. However, it seems themselves were injured as well, yet they kept their emotionless expression on. "That girl you call Kana. I see a bright future in her. She would be an excellent kunoichi. Yet she decided to follow a path not of peace." The Khanti Path spoked.

 

"Kana, you'll be alright." Hiraku formed his hands into the dragon symbol and a giant flower appeared. Hiraku placed Kana into the flower and chakra rain began to fall upon Kana, slowly healing her wounds. "You don't need to kill yourself Kana, now rest." Hiraku turned and face the six paths. "Well, I'm still going to need that meteor." Hiraku stated. "We've got what we came here for, we must now leave, and don't follow us if you want to live...." The Upekkha Path replied. Hiraku then charged his vines at the six.

 

The Khanti Path formed a large sphere around the vines, slowing the vines to the point where they seemed motionless. The Panna Path looked at Toto. "Do you still wish to fight us?"

[Navras]

Toto smiled viciously at teh six paths, a smile that showed all the colors of insanity.

"Oh yes, yes yes yes YES!" Toto raised both of his hands into the air and shouted out, "Come forth, all of my children! I've a battle i want you to fight!"

 

The world suddenly became very dark around the nine of them.

 

Toto giggled to himself, as happy as a school girl in a time of "peace".

"You six don't know what you're getting into, but I'd be happy to show you... oh i really really would..."

The Panna Path closed his eyes. "I see.... It seems sometimes.... the path to peace is painted with war...." The Panna Path disappeared and reappeared next to the other paths. Hiraku walked over to Kana one more time and formed a barrier around the flower and Kana to keep her from harm's way. Hiraku knows that Toto is now extremely dangerous. "Summoning Jutsu." Hiraku summoned a giant mole.

 

"Very well, have it your way, but you are now standing in your own coffin." the Upekkha Path stated. The Viriya Path then summoned a large snake, eagle, three-headed dog, and a tiger. "Then let's end this....." The Viriya Path stated to both Toto and Hiraku.

Kana begin to heal, not expressing anything. Just sitting their, letting the chakra pour on her.

She got up and stepped out, walking towards Hiraku, she said dully...

 

"This place is the spirit world. If someone dies here, even revival jutsu cannot bring them back. It is the end of their existence in the human world. But it is only the beginning of a life in this world. This place is home to the most foul of spirits, and the most powerful too. This world is the birthplace of the Bijuu. That means far more dangerous things lie here. For example, gods themselves."

 

Beasts, awkward looking, unique styled, and ancient familiarities started surrounding the place.

 

"The creatures, they are known as Hagemo. They are offspring's of the divine rabbit. They are demon like. The reverse of a rabbit, instead of being feasted on, they feast."

 

The Hagemo started rushing towards the six paths.

"I know the spirits of this world. They know me back. We share our pain..." Kana stated.

[Navras]

Toto's smile only widened at the sight of the beast in front of him. He lifted up his hand and took his hat off from on top of his head.

"Please, come at me with all the pain you can muster!"

Toto threw his hat away into the wind and whispered, "Show yourselves my children."

All around the nine of them several dozen of the beasts that Toto summoned before appeared, all around them. There must have been hundreds in the end, though there couldn't be more than five hundred of them.

"These are the result of a jutsu I made... you see these beasts? They were once men, women, children, boys and girls of all ages. All dead and gone now, but not without their uses." Toto smiled wickedly as the five ink clones around him raised their kunai. "They now know no fear that they had in life, they feel no pain they need no sleep drink of food. They follow me in my shadow, each and everyone of them. As far as i know, they only know hatred for me now. And yet the obey everything i say." Toto laughed out into the darkened day. When he stopped, he looked over at Kana, who had stood up. He heard what she said and looked around, not even realizeing where he had been fighting.

"The spirit world... really...? huh... I would have thought it would have been darker... oh well, i fixed that didn't I?" Toto laughed for a short second or two then looked at the six paths one at a time. "I'm waiting you know.... fight me."

 

(BTW, the jutsu I mention that made all of them, it's the final result of Ink-Death, not to say that's all Ink-death dose, but the ink beasts are the final result)

"Life and death.... gods and demons.... peace and war.... light and darkness.... These things are all balanced by each other.... Equality.... You share your pain with these creatures? Very wise of you to say so.... Very well, I will end this quickly...." The Upekkha Path walked towards the three. Hiraku held onto Kana. "What are you doing? You're still injured...." Hiraku said worringly.

 

As the Hagemo rushed towards the six, the summonings of the Viriya Path launched at the Hagemo. The giant mole Hiraku summoned rushed towards the beasts, but was stopped by the Khanti Path who once again made a large sphere around the creature, slowing it down.

 

The Dana Path turned towards the large army and Toto. "If this is what you wished.... Water Release: Great Water Orb, Lightning Release: Yellow Spear." A gargantuan water sphere formed and was covered by lightning as it rushed towards the beasts, destroying a large number, but a lot more were left. The Sila Path began firing a huge wave of missles towards Toto, Hiraku, and Kana. The Khanti Path created a wormhole that began sucking the beasts inside. The Upekkha Path stood there still with his eyes closed.

[Navras]

Toto, still smiling all the more, Waved his hands up above him and around him, the five ink clones slid together and formed a bubble around Toto, his army on the other hand, all rushed forward, bypassing the Hagemo around them and heading directly towards the paths. Thier circle was closing in very fast, the ink beasts who were destroyed by the dana path's jutsu just fell apart into inky puddles, not even knowing that they had perished.

 

As the missiles hit Toto's bubble, it changed radically, forming dents and craters wherever it was hit. It was it so much in so many places that the ink almost touched toto's nose inside. When they had stopped trying to hit his bubble in that volley, they sank into the ink and seemed to become apart of it.

"Keep trying my firends, maybe you'll get to me before my army dose!"

And the army drew even closer to the six.

Kana saw the missiles and held up her mirror. It started shining and the missiles were absorbed into the mirror. "Reflection Jutsu" kana said. The missiles shot out of her mirror and headed back. One launched at the giant water orb, stopping the jutsu, and the other destroyed the bubble around the mole, allowing it for a speedy movement again. The last missile headed straight for the one who launched it, the Sila path. Kana rushed behind the missile headed for the Sila path.

 

"You talk so much of achieving peace. You can never achieve peace. Peace is impossible to achieve."

 

Right before coming 5 feet within the Sila Path, Kana moved to the left and held her mirror up. The Sila path was focusing on the first missile, and before he stopped it, Kana's mirror shot out one more missile. One missile was at point blank range from the Sila path, while another was rushing up to it from 40 degree's to the left.

 

"Rockets are the last thing that achieve peace."

[spoiler=OOC:]I've gotta be offline after this post, I'll return later on in the day, btw, this is where the paths make their escape, until next time hehe.

 

 

 

The Paths all closed their eyes at the same time as the Upekkha Path opened his eyes. "This battle must no longer continue....." the Upekkha Path stated as he raised one hand. "Kami no Te (God's Hands)...." All of the sudden, giant arms rose up from the ground and smashed every single beast in sight. The Six Paths gathered together as the Khanti Path ripped open a dimension in space and the paths walked through. "I will not allow anymore bloodshed....." the Upekkha Path stated as the dimesion closes. The arms still swung around wildly, destroying all in its path including missles, the beasts, everything it made impact with seemed to fade away like dust. It is now up to Toto, Hiraku, and Kana to find an escape.

The arms hit Kana and smashed her against beasts. Everything else around her collapsed and she was shrouded by material, by darkness, by hate in the spirit world none the less. A huge pile of corrosion and ash was a result of the giant arms smashing the explosive missiles and powerful jutsu. Kana under it all, shed just the slightest tear.

 

She then bit her tongue and said "I may not show emotion." Her previous injuries on top of this one. She was purely covered, weather it be blood or anything else, she could not even feel the air above her face. "Weather it be pain, sadness, or failure. No... Emoti..."

 

She coughed blood, and her eyesight went black.

[Navras]

Toto, growing bored behind his prtective bubble, waved his hands and it split back into five ink clones. When he opened his eyes he saw the giant hands making a mess of everything... and the paths were gone. He looked around at his army and saw that it was not much more than shreds left after what the hands had done.

Toto growled and spat out he words, "Damn it... I wanted to really die this time... I thought it might be for real..." Toto made a few of his hand signs and whispered. "Return to my shadow... now..." The ink puddles around and the few remaining ink beasts all fell down into the ground and slithered over to Toto's shadow, where they joined it as though they had never been away.

The giant hands made a swipe at him that was too close for his comfort. He made a few more hand signs and sank into the ground as his ink beasts had done. He resurfaced standing next to Kana.

"We need to get out of here," he whispered, all the excitment gone from his voice. "And we need to go now."

Toto looked down at Kana and saw that she had all but fallen over from where the giant hands had struck her and glared. Toto didn't much care for Kana like he didn't much care for any others, but to him, she was still along with him and still needed protecting. An ink clone stepped out away from toto and stood in front of Kana protectivly.

"Guard her while I restrain these hands," Toto said, stepping forward and making hand signs at the same time.

"Puppet master jutsu," Toto whispered, throwing his hands forward and sending chakra strings into the god hands. Even when all of his strings were connected, it was still quite the struggle to keep them restrained, especially in his current state of all-too-human.

"Damn it..." he looked back at Kana and whispered, "Wake up so we can get out of here..."

Kana dosed up. "I cannot die... here... It is my duty to serve Lord Hiraku"

She stood up and used the last bit of strength she had. Her mirror opened up an exit from the Spirit world.

"Don't worry about restraining the hands. This place heals itself. Please grab Lord Hiraku and let us escape" She said emotionless.

She stepped out of the spirit world, keeping the portal open and waiting for the others to cross through.
