seattleite
This is my 2nd contest, and probably my last one for a while. Written Cards and Realistic Cards are both accepted. Let me break it down for you. Objective:Your Task is to create exactly 3 cards. 2 of these cards will be Monsters. The third card must be a Fusion monster which uses the other 2 monsters as Fusion Materials. Each card will be graded according to Usefulness, Balance, Creativity and OCG. The whole group will be graded according to Synergy and Following the Rules. Rules: 1. No cards that are members of or support any existing Archetypes in the TCG or OCG. 2. No Spam, vulgar language, vulgar images or joke cards. 3. You must post your card when you say you will join. I will not reserve your spot for you unless you put your card in your post. Evaluation: Usefulness - /10, For each cardBalanced - /10, For each cardCreative - /10, For each cardSynergy - /10, For the whole groupOCG - /5, For each cardFollows Rules - /5, For the whole groupTOTAL /120 Explanation: Usefullness is how many cards can find good combos with it, is it playable, can it be added into a deck in the TCG if released. A horrenduously overpowered card won't earn points in this section just because it is super powerful. Balanced means not overpowered, not broken. Creative is pretty self-explanitory. Remember, a card doesn't need to have a super long effect to be creative, nor be something off-the-wall like a field spell monster. Your cards must have some synergy, i.e. they must go well with each other in some way. They don't have to specifically mention each other, just make each other more playable. OCG is card grammar. I won't mark points down for capitalization, only incorrect/made-up terms or fake card types. Follows rules is self explanitory too. Contestants - Accepting up to 8 :1. Koshej2. ANBU_Leader3. Lexadin4. qm9a75. Die Predators6. stonecphillips 7. YamiGriffin8. Seto Kaiba666 Prize:1st place: 3 reps, 50 points2nd place: 2 reps, 35 points3rd place 1 rep, 20 points4th - 8th place: 10 points Contest has ended! Koshej
I'll join. Please, don't immediately think that these cards are retarded just because of their theme. :D
This card cannot be Tribute Summoned or Set except by Tributing 1 Warrior-Type monster of Level 6 or higher on your field. If this card is Special Summoned from your Graveyard after being destroyed while face-up on your field, increase this card's basic ATK by 1000 and this card cannot be affected by your opponent's Trap or Spell Cards.
This card cannot be Tribute Summoned or Set except by Tributing 1 Warrior-Type monster of Level 6 or higher on your field. If this card is Special Summoned from your hand after being returned to your hand while face-up on your field, increase this card's basic ATK by 1000 and this card cannot be affected by your opponent's Trap or Spell Cards.
"Super Sayajin 4 Goku" + "Super Sayajin 4 Vegeta"This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon of the above monsters. If both of the Fusion Material Monsters used for this card's Fusion Summon had their Effects activated, increase this card's basic ATK and DEF by 1000 and this card cannot be affected by your opponent's Trap or Spell Cards or Monster Effects. When this card is Summoned, put 10 "Time" Counters on it. During each of your or your opponent's End Phases, remove 1 "Time" Counter from this card. If there are no "Time" Counters on this card, destroy this card, and you receive 8000 damage. Card details:
Generally quite easy to Summon. But the Effect requires quite a job to pull out. :DIn other words, you can quite easily get another Summoned Skull ATK power look-alike, but to unleash its FULL Sayajin strength you'll need quite a strategy, or even sheer luck. :D
Same as Goku.Generally, both cards are a spin-off of the Gemini idea, except it was changed into Special Summon rather than Normal.
Again, it's quite strong on its own.But if you want it UNSTOPPABLE, you'll need to work on a strategy. :D EDIT:I added the "10-Phase-self-KABOOM" Effect to reflect the Anime de-Fusion effect. :DAND also that it wouldn't be so powerful.Well, it still is, but if your opponent manages to go fist-to-fist with the strongest Sayajin ever...:lol::lol:
ANBU
I'll Join

Once per turn if this card is face-up on your side of the Field you can show your Opponent 1 card in your hand. If the shown card was a Machine-type monster during this turn you can change this card's effect to the following:* Once per turn if there is a Machine-type monster on your side of the Field you can Fusion Summon monsters without using "Polymerization". The Fusion Material monsters listed on the Fusion Summoned monster are Removed from Play.

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the Field, you can equip it to a face-up Machine-type monster as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, increase the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster by 500 points each time a card on the Field is sent to the Graveyard. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)

"Tachikoma Version 1.0 - Basic Tachikoma" + "Tachikoma Version 2.0 - Construction Tachikoma" This card is also treated as a Union monster. If there is a face-up "Tachikoma Version 1.0 - Basic Tachikoma" or "Tachikoma Version 2.0 - Construction Tachikoma" on your side of the Field you can equip this card to it as an Equip Card. Once per turn if this card is Equipped to a monster you can discard 1 card, If this effect is activated decrease the ATK of all monsters on the Field except the monster Equipped with this card by 400. Once per turn if the Equipped monster would be destroyed as the result of battle you can pay 500 Lifepoints to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. I was running low on ideas of what to combine so that's why it's Ghost in the Shell eheh..

Lexadin
I think I did this before. *Dusts off old cards*Here you go, I'll enter.

"Sorceress of the Black Moon" + "Bio-Metal Armour"Once per turn, by paying 800 Life Points, remove 1 random card from your opponent's hand. Activate 1 of the following effects depending on the removed Card's Type: -Monster Card: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to its level x 100.-Spell Card: Gain 500 Life Points.-Trap Card: Destroy 1 face-down card you control. If you cannot, you lose 1000 Life Points.
This card is also treated as a Fiend-type monster. Once per turn, you can select and look at 1 card in your opponent's hand. If the selected card was a Monster Card, decrease its ATK equal to its Level x 100. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a Spellcaster, or Warrior-Type you conrol, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by its own effect, increase that monsters ATK and DEF by 600 and that monster is unaffected by the effects of Spell Card's. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at the time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, this card is destroyed instaid.) Lets see how far these will come.

Anti-Apocryphal
Meh, I'll try:
Each Machine-Type monster on your side of the field gains 300 ATK and 200 DEF. If you switch this monster into attack position, your opponent cannot attack this monster. If this monster is destroyed by battle, you may Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster from your hand."Earth after Disaster" + "The Broken Machine City"For each monster on your side of the field, decrease this monster's ATK by 200. While this monster is on the field, your opponet cannot select another attack target except this monster. This monster cannot attack your opponent directly. Pay 500 Life Points each time this monster attacks. If this monster destroys any Level 3 or lower monster, you may Special Summon any Level 2 or lower monster from your Graveyard. seattleite
qm9a7 - I can not see your cards. Post them In Written or fix the Images. -Griffin
One more thing.Does the Fusion have to be:"Monster X + Monster Y"Or can it be "Monster X + 1 FIRE Monster"Where Monster Y is a FIRE monster.
seattleite
Has to be Monster X + Monster Y. Otherwise you could just substitute any monster in for monster Y which ruins the synergy part of this contest. Die Predators - I HIGHLY suggest you make star kuriboh an effect monster otherwise it will get a really low score from me.

TwistedFlameApe
I'll join. These are my cards:They are part of a larger set with more fusions and whatnot but this is 1 of them.
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of a "Shadowfire" monster. If this card is destroyed and would be sent to the Graveyard, return it to the Deck instead. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent, Special Summon 1 "Shadowfire Soldier" from your Deck in face-up Attack Position.
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of a "Shadowfire" monster. If this card is destroyed and would be sent to the Graveyard, return it to the Deck instead. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. Each time this card inflicts damage to your opponent return 1 card from your Graveyard to the Deck.
"Shadowfire Soldier" + "Shadowfire Warriror"This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above cards from your side of the field to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) If this card would be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, return it to the Extra Deck instead. Once per turn, you can send 1 monster from the field to the owner's Deck and draw 1 card. If the card you drew is a Monster Card, it is immediately Special Summoned in face-up Attack Position. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated.
-Griffin
|Malicious Skull of the Theif||Zombie/DARK/Gemini|Level 3|1400 ATK/0 DEF||This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:*During either player's turn, you can tribute this card to remove from play 1 random card in your opponent's hand| |Headless Thief of the Wasteland||Zombie/WIND|Level 5|2200 ATK/2000 DEF||If you have two or less cards in your Graveyard, you can Normal Summon this card without tribute. When this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Gemini monster from your Deck.| |The Revived Thief Raggar||Zombie/WIND/Fusion|Level 8|2900 ATK|2000 DEF|Malicious Skull of the Theif + Headless Thief of the WastelandThis card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by sending the above cards you control to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) You can remove from play 2 cards in your Graveyard to send this card to the Graveyard until the End Phase and remove from play 1 random card in your opponent's hand. You can only activate the effect of "The Revived Thief Raggar" once per turn.| Zombies have enough revival and search that they could actually make Monster X + Monster Y viable and consistent. Contact Fusion makes it a bit more splashable. Headless fetches Skull, and can be revived by many Zombie-support cards. Zombies lack a beatstick. This enables Zombies to use Supervis or Gemini Spark, since it's so searchable, which opens lots of new options. Headless's first effect was so that it could be run without worry that it would give you dead opening hands, and I made the second effect more general so that it could be included in Gemini Decks, as well as the intended Zombie Decks. I'm not 100% sure on Raggar's effect, but it seems good while being a mixture of the two materials (a clear Graveyard and opponent's hand). It isn't supposed to be so overwhelming that the player would always Fuse them if possible. Going for 2 monsters, as Synch fodder or just to get a Gemini later is still viable. seattleite
And here they are!! I hope you check out your spoiler box, I put a lot of time into commenting on your cards.
Super Sayajin 4 GokuUsefulness 8/10 (combos well with SS from the graveyard cards but first effect doesn’t really make this card useful.)Balanced 5/10 (after SS it makes it a 3500 ATK unaffected by spells and traps, nigh impossible to destroy)Creative 8/10 (The effect is kinda unique)OCG 4/5 (it’s not basic ATK, but Original ATK. Otherwise good.) Super Sayajin 4 VegetaUsefulness 8/10 (same as Goku)Balanced 7/10 (only higher than Goku because the effect is a little more difficult to pull off) Creative 8/10 (same reason)OCG is 4/5 (same reason) Super Sayajin 4 GogetaUsefulness 10/10 (what a crazy card I like it :D.)Balanced 5/10 (however, I realize it has a self-destruction effect but that’s after a whole 10 turns which is plenty of time to destroy your opponent. And damage can be easily gotten around with Rainbow Life, Prime Material Dragon, etc. So then you have a 4000 ATK monster with immunity to spells traps and monsters.)Creativity 9/10 (interesting requirements and drawback but otherwise it’s a pure beatstick) OCG is 4/5 (again not basic ATK, original ATK.) Synergy between all cards 8/10. You can recycle some cards for their effect requirements but the group as a whole seem cluncky and take up lots of deckspace and resources. But I can see that you tried so good work.Follows Rules: 5/5 Total: 93/120
Tachikoma Version 1.0Usefulness 9/10 (It’s a nice effect and goes well with your set. Although very good for fusions it has little use outside of that) Balanced 10/10 (Yeah, nothing wrong here.) Creativity 8/10 (I like the effect, but it is almost copied from Fusion Gate) OCG is 4/5 (The wording could be made SO MUCH easier and be cut down a lot. Instead of ”show your Opponent 1 card in your hand. If the shown card was a Machine-type monster”, just put “show 1 Machine-Type monster in your hand.” Also “Once per turn if there is a Machine-type monster on your side of the Field..” can be removed because tachikoma is a machine monster)Tachikoma Version 2.0Nice little Union monster. Usefulness 8/10 (it’s an odd requirement to gain ATK but I could see how it could become abusable.)Balanced 9/10 (for that reason.) Creativity 8/10 (it’s kinda like Heavy Mech Support Platform with a twist.)OCG 5/5 (nice you got all the Union OCG down ;)) Tachikoma Final VersionUsefulness 5/10 (The fact that it uses it’s own fusion material monsters as targets so they have to be on the field makes this hard to utilize. Plus the effect isn’t that powerful ) Balanced 10/10 (Very Balanced)Creative 9/10 (Union fusion monster is definitely creative but the effect is just a little plain as it mostly just deals with ATK and protecting itself )OCG 5 /5 (You can still slim it down but it is readable ) Synergy 10/10 (I can see you put a lot of time to make sure these cards are connected and support each other. Their effects go well with each other ;) )Follows Rules 5/5 (self explanitory)Total: 105/120
Sorceress of the Black MoonUsefulness 6/10 (Doubt you will get what you want often, and your opponent can just set that monster if it’s ATK gets too low. Plus, the ATK decrease isn’t very powerful. Better if it was “look at your opponents hand and select 1 card. Decrease by Level X200 or X300 ) Balanced 10/10 (Very Balanced )Creative 9/10 ( Effect is kinda unique )OCG 5/5 (Flawless) Bio-Metal ArmourUsefulness 8/10 (Quite useful except as a Union makes it hard to keep this monster on the field and vulnerable to S/T effects. But I like the Spell immunity of the union target) Balanced 10/10 (Balanced )Creative 7/10 (Not counting the Union effect which is Konami’s Idea the actual effect isn’t very creative )OCG 5/5 (Another Union effect executed Perfectly) Bio-Metal ArmageddonUsefulness 6/10 (Relies on chance and not helpful in a pinch ) Balanced 7/10 (Creates a Mean Hand destruction engine which is reusable with a small cost. )Creative 10/10 (VERY creative. Effect based on card type is varied )OCG 5/5 (Perfect ) Synergy 7/10 (Biometal Armour workes with sorceress but the fusion lacks synergy with the two. I’d rather just use a fusion substitute for the Fusion Summon)Follows Rules 5/5 (:))Total: 100/120
Earth After DisasterUsefulness 8/10 (Might find itself in some sort of EARTH flip deck, but requires many cards to help its effect) Balanced 5/10 (Even without the flip effect the ATK is too high for an average Lv6 monster )Creative 3/10 (A big Man-Eater Bug )OCG 5/5 (Perfect) The Broken Machine CityUsefulness 6/10 (Small boost to Machine monsters but all it’s effects don’t really help outside of a stall deck, and will most likely not be destroyed in battle to use it’s last effect) Balanced 4/10 (Summonable with Giant Rat, and no attacking makes a very annoying lockdown )Creative 9/10 (Pretty good creativity )OCG 5/5 (Don’t see anything major ) The Fall of EarthUsefulness 4/10 (All these restrictions make this clunky and hard to use. Plus the last effect will rarely be useful ) Balanced 9/10 (Balanced except it’s easily summonable with a fusion substitute, which I’d rather use than 2 tribute monsters )Creative 8/10 (Quite interesting effect )OCG 5/5 (Great) Synergy 6/10 (As machines they are supported by The Broken Machine City but the last effect of The Fall of Earth is totally random and doesn’t support what this is going for. These are high level machines so why would I use many level 2 or lower monsters? They don’t fit well with each other)Follows Rules 5/5 (:))Total: 84/120
Star KuribohUsefulness 4/10 (The LP gain is small and not worth the sacrifice. Also would waste a summon for that. ) Balanced 10/10 (Balanced )Creative 3/10 (Put a little more! I haven’t seen this effect before but it probably didn’t take much effort)OCG 4/5 (Not sacrifice, Tribute ) NanobotUsefulness 3/10 (4 turns is WAY too slow. Monster would be tributed, etc. by then. ) Balanced 10/10 (balanced)Creative 6/10 (Strange, like a zone eater as an equip spell. But there isn’t much depth to this effect. )OCG 3/5 (You cannot equip spell cards to Spells or Traps. The way you worded it, that is what you were implying. You have to say equip this to a face-up monster. ) NaniribohUsefulness 5/10 (First effect is not worth it, would rather use Nanobot. The no attack target is kinda useful though.)Balanced 6/10 (Makes a quick wall with a Fusion Substitute. Easy, limitless protection.)Creative 7/10 (Weird combination of effects but the first one copies Nanobot and the second one is overused. )OCG 2/5 (You have multiple types + same problem as Nanobot. ) Synergy 2/10 (These cards REALLY lacked synergy, I don’t see anything that would help these to be used with each other, which is why it got such a low score, sorry.)Follows Rules 5/5 (Followed Rules )Total: 70/120
Black NinjaUsefulness 7/10 (Useful for a Tuner, but it has such Low ATK it won’t destroy much, and probably not worth boosting with an Equip Spell. ) Balanced 10/10 (Very balanced )Creative 9/10 (That is one freakin crazy effect. However increasing level has been overused for a Tuner )OCG 4/5 (Runs into a problem – what if the monster has an odd level? I’m pretty sure a monster can’t be level 4 and a 1/2 )Reptillian WarriorUsefulness 7/10 (I guess good in Hand Destruction but not useful if you’re on the defensive. ) Balanced 5/10 (Life point cost is good but it’s really unfair on the first turn you can pay 4000 LP and your opponent has very little chance of recovery )Creative 8/10 (Never met a monster with a LP cost and 2 card discard effect combined. However like a Confiscation x2.)OCG 5/5 (Great. ) Reptile NinjaI <3 This cardUsefulness 10/10 (Perfect for getting out synchros. ) Balanced 9/10 (The “equal or above” part ruins the exact level requirement most synchros have but you would probably lose much advantage in fusion summoning this card, so it got a high score. )Creative 10/10 (Wow. Fusion supporting a Synchro? I wish I could give this 11/10 :D )OCG 5/5 (:) ) Synergy 3/10 (Your cards are amazing by themselves but lack working together. Black ninja especially is a Tuner? And Synchro material? One would probably be more satisfied to use it in a synchro summon. The effects don’t really relate to each other. However I see a small connection between the Fusion and black ninja both in synchro summons. There’s probably a combo there but I haven’t found it)Follows Rules 5/5 (Follows da rules )Total: 97/120
Erebos, The Ruler of ShadowsUsefulness 7/10 (The Destruction effect is nice, and so is the Hand Destruction, but it Is quite situational. ) Balanced 9/10 (The discard effect is fair because opponent will waste their hand advantage for Field advantage anyway, but the destruction effect is easy with SS’s. )Creative 9/10 (Situational, yet I like it. )OCG 5/5 (Flawless )Oureus, The Ruler of MountainsUsefulness 8/10 (The first effect is useful ) Balanced 2/10 (Being able to draw up to 5 cards for 1000 LP is ridiculous )Creative 6/10 (I only see a simple SS effect and a draw engine, plus support for it’s counterpart. )OCG 5/5 (Another Flawless OCG ) Chaos, The Ruler of DestructionUsefulness 10/10 (Supports DARK, EARTH, burns, discards, and much much more! ) Balanced 8/10 (Fusion monster is mostly balanced except for the last effect, almost setting up for another Chaos Ruler of Destruction )Creative 10/10 (Crazy effect. I love it. )OCG 5/5 (Yay. ) Synergy 10/10 (You totally nailed this part. Bravo! )Follows Rules 5/5 (This too )Total: 99/120
-- I saw your Shadow Fire thread and realize you have some cards that SS these monsters but it’s not contest appropriate since I technically shouldn’t have to look up your thread. I will let it go this time but in the future you should be careful about that---Shadowfire SoldierUsefulness 6/10 (I don’t see what can summon it, your monsters that you posted don’t SS each other except this card, which only SS itself. Other than that, this card has a nice SS effect and reusable too. You could easily bring out a whole army of these things.) Balanced 3/10 ( One direct attack turns into 3 for a total of 5000+ damage… wow. )Creative 10/10 (Creative.)OCG 5/5 (yeah) Shadowfire WarriorUsefulness 7/10 (There are monsters out there with higher ATK and piercing ) Balanced 10/10 (quite balanced )Creative 9/10 (Interesting )OCG 5/5 (Great ) Shadowfire GeneralUsefulness 8/10 (Useful Draw effect and returning but you can’t get full points if you got a low score in balanced ) Balanced 4/10 (Easy costless removal of opponents monsters, High ATK, draw effect and possible swarming. Yeah, this is overpowered. )Creative 9/10 (Big effect and mostly unique )OCG 5/5 (good, just remember, not send but return for anything to the deck.) Synergy 8/10 (These go well with similar returning to the deck effects centering on the theme of these cards, but I can’t give you full points because any archetype would obviously get a good score for synergy and you went against the rules.. making it unfair to those who did follow them without an archetype. )Follows Rules 3/5 (Still got the Fusion + materials down though. )Total: 91/120 Places:First: ANBU_Leader, with a score of 105 Points!!!Second: Lexadin, with a score of 100 points!!!Third: YamiGriffin, with a score of 99 points!!! (sooo close!) So, remind you again:1st place gets 3 reps and 50 points2nd place gets 2 reps and 35 points3rd place gets 1 rep and 20 pointseveryone else gets 10 points. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Congratulations everyone!!!

Koshej
It was very close for the 90+ ones. :DWell, yeah, you could probably say my SSJ4 materials are a bit OPed - if you have appropriate cards to use that.I'm not so knowledgable in ALL new cards - or even ALL old ones...But I'd say I never saw anything like the "SS-Gemini" effect I gave these cards - not just "quite unique". :DAre you SO sure about basic vs original???I didn't just take this wording from the ceiling... - I did see it somewhere.Erm, did you "try" to summon "full-power" Gogeta???It's quite hard to do, I'd say. :DFinishing note - OK, it's your contest, so you're the judge. :D
