Elvis Elvis was great and he did do a lot of miraculous things for rock but I think he is slightly overrated with the godly shrine people seem to place him on. Sinatra on the other hand deserves the credit for even if he despised it himself laying the foundation for what would become Rock.

Again, we're not talking about the foundations of rock here, we're talking about classic rock, rock music that is timeless. Sinatra is still Swing

faerrleah
Classic rock music is a musical genre that relies heavily on popular songs that were produced in the 1960/70/80s. Typically, this term is used to refer to radio stations. Classic rock music is typically most popular among people who were young when the music first came out. I like - 1. Rolling Stones : The original "bad boys" of rock, the Stones are among the most durable bands, recording and touring with few breaks since they began in 1961. I like more "Sticky Fingers" Album. 2. The Beatles : With record sales estimated at more than a billion worldwide, no other band had a greater influence on the course of rock music. I like "Revolver" Album. Tabris
No...Beatles? I actually don't like the Beatles. Every British band tries emulating them early on in their careers' date=' and it isn't the best sound[/quote'] Just because every British band - some of the more ambitious shoegazers, Oasis - (and almost every college band I know) sings like the Beatles doesn't mean their model sucks.love these bands. you forgot queen. beatles are pretty good. aerosmith. acdc. other stuff Queen? All hail Freddie Mercury and his voice, but their lyrics (most of them, anyway) ain't worth sheet. The crown of thorns that adorn A Night at the Opera, for instance. Aerosmith? At best, a raunchier post-Barrett Pink Floyd. At worst (mind if I give 10 of them), a poor imitation of a Pink Floyd imitation.
