A few problems, tbqh.

1.) I cannot see who is browsing a forum anymore. That feature has been completely removed. I don't know if this was intentional, but I really liked that feature.

 

2.) There was a drop-down feature at the bottom of the page where you could jump between forums. That has also been removed.

 

3.) Recently, I've been getting a LOT of SQL and MyBB errors, and I experience a lot of lag in the mornings (usually around 11 AM EST).

 

Just wanted to point these issues out.

No, I am using the normal old boring YCM. I only used YCModern for a day, once, and since then I hated it.

 

I hate Modern too, so I don't really know.

 

Why do you hate Modern? It looks nice. The old YCM still has the Christmas hat, if I'm not wrong.

Perhaps we should send an appeal in to YCMaker? But he obviously knows about these if he took them out. Maybe he thought it would decrease lag until he can up the amount of maximum users?

As a MyBB expert, I contradict your statements.

 

Removing a mere phrase that points to {$members_viewing} or whatever it is: does not affect the amount of people using at all. The 0.000001% loading time it would take to load "Users viewing this section: Brushfire, 1 Guest" would not affect the server in any way at all.

 

The same goes for the second, only even less so as it's not loading anything extra depending on the people viewing.

 

The MySQL error is caused by YCMaker has decided to set a maximum amount of users who can view YCM- once that amount of IP addresses has been overloaded, the site won't work. I'm sure he can change it if he wants to.

Don't go off-topic. And it's doing it with both themes anyway.

 

Arrgh. I went off-topic again...Anyway, there is the new server up, but the lag is horrible. It happens for 1 minute and the next minute lag's gone. Then, it comes back again. Maybe too many members are online nowadays, with the whole site expanding like a hot air balloon.
