Soul Eater: Trials of a Strong Soul (STARTED!!! STILL ACCEPTING ON PLANNING THREAD!!)

Sayori nodded and let Hiro take Luna to this Naigus-sensai, running close behind him. She made sure to stay behind him because she still didn't know her way around the academy, and it would not be good if she got lost now. That's never happened before...I must've absorbed too much energy. I have to be more careful. She still can't handle that much power. Sayori thought, glancing worriedly at a slowly paling Luna.

"Lord Death," said Red trying to recollect his composure, "Why would you send other's on the mission we took." "We more than ready to take mission that Maka and Soul take on, I even think we could beat them in a fight," Red said gleaming with pride.

"Red is right, Sir," Tenka interrupted before Red could go on one of his rants. "We could take any of your star pupils the distance." The two meant business and Red could see Lord Death knew this.

"We should be able to go on whatever mission we please," Red glared at the Death Scythe and the Grim Reaper.

"Yes, Black Star won't be in any condition to go on a mission..." Kid said. His trailing off at the end was a bit odd as it wasn't something he particularly did.

"Something wrong Kid?" Liz said. She had picked up on what sounded like Kid thinking about something.

"No, it was nothing. I was just thinking is all. We should do as Maka suggests and go look for a mission." Kid said.

"Off we go!" Patty said excited as the group started off. They would be headed to see Death of course as there was no other way to go about getting missions.

 

Kid seemed to be thinking about something the whole way there and as they approached he heard voices inside. It sounded like the meister and weapon pair who had fought Black Star. And then there were two other voices he didn't recognize. However he did hear what the voices were saying. Claiming they were just as good as Maka and the others or something to that extent. He had until this point had his hands in his pockets. Now he brought them out, adjusted his tie and and kept them at his side.

"... Soul, you may have to go on the mission without me as I've just decided on something else I feel like doing today. Unless of course... you'd care to join me in putting some of these newer kids in their places!" Kid said. He seemed determined and really excited about the idea. Enough so that the idea of entering the asymmetric Death Room right in front of them didn't seem to bother him.

"Hehe," Soul chuckled slightly, anticipation shining in his eyes from beneath his headband and his excitement seeming to match Kid's, having heard them saying that they could give him and the others a run for their money. He took that as a challenge, and he didn't back down from a challenge. "You know it; Maka, you coming?" Maka merely gave a nod as they approached the entrance to the Death Room. for two sole reasons: 1) Soul wasn't likely to back down from this, and could get hurt (Example: his fight with Kid.) and 2) She was still pissed off from being late this morning, and needed a good beatdown. "Looks like we're all in, let's do this."

[Dranzer]

Hiro quickly rushed in the nurce's office and left Luna on one of the beds.

"She should be awright now.Leave it to Naigus-sensei."

"You should probably wait outside Sayori.It won't be a good view."

Red noticed the souls of the Meisters and their weapon partners and looked at Lord Death, "Sir, we could prove ourselves against two of your star pupils now if you please." Red a great big grin on his face.

Tenka noticed the talking going on outside the door as well so he smiled at the opportunity of fighting the arrogant Kid but he also noticed the other voices and assumed it would've been Maka and Soul, "But, Sir if things are two on one we won't pull any punches."

"Well Tenka, I guess it's time to put those two in their places," Red was eager to begin the fighting. Lord Death either had no idea of what was going on or he thought the duo of Red and Tenka were crazy as he and Spirit looked at Red and Tenka as if they were willing to take on suicide.

Lord Death gazed at Red and Tenka for a second. "Well if you wanted two star missions you could've just asked. You're in." he said simply causing everyone in the room to anime fall.

 

Tsubaki was walking towards the infermary to check on Black*Star. "I sure hope he's ok. Black*Star tends to get so upset when he loses a fight." The weapon then looked down at the lunch she made for him. "Perhaps this will cheer him up!" she said brightly as she opened the door to the nurses office.

Black*Star was doing push-ups off the side of his bed. His feet and half of his legs where still on the bed, but the assassin himself was hanging off the side supported by 1 finger.

Tsubaki went to stop him, but she then withdrew herself. All she could do was smile. She left the lunch she had brought by the door. "He can eat it when he's done." she thought before walking off to find the others.

Jak went back inside, letting Leon go back home. He headed over to the infirmary to check to see if Black Star was alright. He saw Tsubaki and smiled. "Oh hey, Tsubaki. Is Black Star doing alright after our little match?" he asked. He saw Black Star doing push ups and said,"He sure looks like it."

Tsubaki noticed the two and smiled lightly. "Yeah, that's Black*Star for you. Win or loss he's always trying to get stronger. And i guess that's what i can really respect about him. He does keep promising me that he'll make me a Death Sythe one day, and i believe that he can!"

 

Over in the Death Room the grim reaper was gazing at his mirrior. "So, i understand that it's still holding up well?" he said as a figure gazed back at him.

 

"Yes Lord Death, after checking the seal everything is holding up well, however my men seem to be complaining about a strange feeling in the air." Death face grew to a grimace behind his mask.

 

"So this feeling me and Kid both had wasn't just a notion. Something big might be on it's way. Get back to the academy soon, and be careful you guys."

 

"Thank you Lord Death." one of the escavators said as his image disappeared from the mirrior.

 

"Hmmm, one can just hope after all these years that the seal won't break. It would be a catastrophy if "he" got out." Lord Death said with a sence of worry in his voice.

"I'm promising Leon the same thing, Tsubaki." Jak said with a nod. "And I'm kinda like Black Star in a few ways. I try to get strong, whether I win battles or lose battles." He looked at Black Star. "Though hes more devoted to getting stronger than me."

Sayori sighed but nodded. "Yeah...I guess you're right." She leaded against the wall by the door before saying, "Thanks. For helping Luna and I. It's kind of weird, I mean, one minute we're fighting and the next you're helping me." Sayori laughed, though one could tell it was a forced one. "I shouldn't have let her absorb so much energy, without practicing it first. I hadn't tried taking in so much before, but I didn't think what we normally did would be enough to damage you. I never thought the mirror would crack and she'd get hurt."

[Dranzer]

"Life is full of suprises.You never know what will happen."

"The fact that your weapon broke wasn't because your strength limit.It was probably because of Excalibur."Hiro said pointing at the silly little creture.

"He realy is the sword of promised victory.The real Excalibur wich King Arthur weild is him.I was hopping to find someone that could slow the process.Each time an attack is launched Excalibur strenght rases just 1 level above the attack.That's why I've bearly been wounded in battle in my life.Guess it's my responsibility for not telling you in the first place."

A few days later Black*Star was released from the infermary. He streched as he walked down the hall with his weapon partner. "Now that i'm at 100% again we can get back to work on making you a Death Sythe Tsubaki." the female smiled at him.

 

"Ok, but just make sure you be careful. We won't get very far if you get hurt again." the assassin just laughed at this.

 

"Yeah right! That fight from eariler was just a fluke. There's no way i can lose! I'm the academy's biggest shining star, and if i'm gonna surpass god one day that first step is making you a Death Sythe Tsubaki! Gyahahahaha!!!" Tsubaki nodded and the 2 walked off to find the rest of their friends.

"Either way, she's my partner not yours. If she gets hurt it's because it's my fault, no one elses." Sayori sighed. "How long is this going to take? I'm guessing I gotta meet the Head Honcho of this place, seeing as I'm new and all?" She posed it as a question looking at Hiro to see if she was right.

[Dranzer]

"Hmm you mean Lord Death.He's in the Deathroom as awlays,but you can just use a mir...

Ok maybe I shouldn't have said that"

 

"Anyway the Death Room is straight down the hall.Mine comming with you.I want to speak to Lord Death too."

Sayori laughed at Hiro and waved it off, "It's fine. Luna is strong...She's been through a lot, and most of the time it's because of my stupidity that anything ever happens. And yeah, it's obvious you don't know me very well. Even with directions I'll get lost. So it's best if someone comes with me."

[Dranzer]

"It's fine you'll get use to it."

 

Hiro and Sayori both walked into the Death Room.

"Lord Death I would like to..."

"It's been a long time Shinigami or amybe it hasn't been.Then again it could be."

"Excalibur mind letting me talk this once.Anyway Sayori what did you whant to ask again?"

Sayori shrugged, "I don't know. I assumed it was customary to meet with the big guy. I mean at my other schools we always met the prinicipal, so I thought it was the same here. If not then I'll just wait for you." She turned to Death, "I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Sayori. Luna, my partner, is being tended to right now. We're kind of new here."

Having barely heard what Lord Death said, and not really caring about what he heard, Soul pushed open the door, and the five walked i. "We heard what you said about us, and frankly, we don't think it's cool," he said, cracking his neck, his oversized smirk still present on his face. "So how about this, let's see if you can actually back up those claims, and prove that you're on the same level as us."

"Well if you think its necessary, Soul, I'll battle you and your partner," Red looked eager to begin things. "And if you wish to join, Kid, I'll be happy to fight you," Red grin was big and visible.

"But, I suggest we take things outside," Tenka interrupted thinking the Death Room couldn't take anymore damage still not being completely repaired after the fight with Asura.

"Tenka transform," Red said looking at his partner and Tenka did not jumping into the air and changing forms to reveal a long, sleek, navy scythe blade revealed and Tenka was a Scythe and ready to cut through his opposition.

"Outside," Tenka said in his weapon form.

"Fine," said Red looking for coolest way to exit the room and saw the giant whole in the yard that led straight to the courtyard, so Red ran for the hole and leaped straight into the air and screamed back to the others watching, "Follow me if you can keep up." Red landed soundly on the ground and looked back up at the staring group of Maka, Kid, Soul, and the Thompson sisters and gestured for the group to join him.

'Another scythe meister, huh?' Maka thought, narrowing her eyes as she watched Red and tenka jump down onto a field. The five ran over to the opening, preparing to face their opponent. "Soul," was all she had to say as she pulled on her gloves and trenchcoat.

"You got it," the boy replied before transforming into his weapon form. "Unfortunately for them, I look cooler than him in both my forms," Soul said coolly, his face appearing on the scythe's blade. "Guys, let's show thes wannabes just how much cooler than them we are!" Maka then proceeded to jump down after him, and land in a battle stance, Kid and the others close behind.

As Black*Star and Tsubaki walked down the hall searching for their friends Kilik came running up to them. "Yo Black*Star! Maka and Soul are fighting one of the new meisters." Black*Star's eyes widened.

 

"WHAT?! Where are they!?" he exclaimed as the meister pointed towards the front of the academy.

 

"They're out near the front entr..........." before Kilik could even finish Black*Star darted to the front entrance of the DWMA.

 

"Black*Star! Wait up!!!" said Tsubaki as she chased after him. Leaving Kilik there sweatdropping.

 

"You're welcome!" he yelled after them as he stood there alone.

He didn't wait for Maka to realize what he was doing and he launched his first attack aiming the butt end of the scythe at Maka's hand. The attack hit and Soul fell out of Maka's hand.
