Never thought about that. I suppose the spirits of the yokai will be there to guide their chosen in using their powers, and in dire circumstances will materialize themselves in their original form. Now you two are accepted.

 

Hotaru, your Yokai is the Jorogumo, the spider lady. It appears that your character will get her height wish, as the veil transforms her lower half into that of a spider. Standing tall on eight legs she can spin webs and shoot silk from her hands. Kinda creepy, but ti can be quite handy for capturing enemy Yokai for 'questioning'. However, despite your bottom half becomming a spider, your upper body becomes that of a beautiful and seductive woman, whose beauty far outweighs the spider half. Despite being two in one, you can change your form fully into a spider, or into a seductive woman.

 

Otaku, as the holder of the water gourd, you are blessed witht he powers of the Japanese water god Suijin. Water is now your b***h as you manipulate the seemingly infinite water coming from the gourd. You also get a pretty neat kanji for water on your fore-head, so all is not lost.

Personality: Kuroda is a loner, but he does have friends. However, he rarely sees them. Still, he fights for, and would by any means necessary defend any living creatures from a cruel death.

Bio: Kuroda lives a normal life with a normal family, but one day he is given an old mask by his grandfather and is told that the mask holds a power of great worth, and that when the time is right it will give it's current owner the power to fight a certain evil that would uprise from it's grave.

Personality: Rey is a very aloof character. He's laid back, calm, and can be a bit perverted at times. Rey is very protective of Raven, opting to stay by her side. He normally sports an 'I-could-care-less' look, but in reality he is observing everything that goes on around him. He has a very blunt sense of humor, and always speaks what's on his mind

Bio: Rey was an only child for the majority of his child hood, and didn't care that his parents were hardly ever home. It didn't bother him that he would always wake up to an empty house, or eat alone. That is unless you count some of the maids that worked there. One day his parents came home, and they brought him a stuffed dog. They said somethig told them to get it for him. He was 7 years old at the time, and even though he didn't want it at first i suddenly grew on him. The Stuffed animal became his only friend. When he was 17 years his parents adopted a girl about 3 years younger than him. It took him a while but eventually they warmed up to each other, and now he sees her as his blood-sister. Because he doesn't believe that a 19 year old boy should be holding a stuffed animal, he allows Raven to hold it for him.

Well, that's what I had intended with that item. You think I just make them up on the spot? You chose the item remember? Also Kuroda, please re-read the rules to understand your unacceptance. Whilst Zeldafan is a-okay.

 

Now Zela me-boy, your Yokai is the Okami, a wolf-like creature. The plushie will in turn become a fierce wolf that will fight for yu, biting and tearing at anything that would do you harm, ANYTHING. Whilst it doesn't have any powers, it follows the syaing of two being better than one.

And yea, I understood you already picked each Yokai for each item and just hoped that I got the right item :P

Das is good. Now Kuroda, your yokai is the Ushi-Oni, or ox demon for easier reference. With it the mask takes hold, morphing young Kuroda here into the beast itself, so have fun being a minotaur. Whilst you are being the Ushi-Oni, you have great strength and endurance, not as much the others who go to the extreme, but enough to retain your mentel state. Did I mention that you have four tentacles sticking out of your back? Well you do, these tentacles can be handy as they are able to capture the normally immaterial spirits that haunt the yokai worlds.

 

Oh yeah, to answer your question, the helmet is the yokai Gashadokuro, an enormous skeleton.

Well, like Otaku you can start by having your character doing something and their item begins to reacts to the bird's song. Which can be disregarded as odd or the Yokai may give their owner a strange urge to locate the source of the song.

 

I just noticed a note by Kuroda. To answer it, Daitengu is in fact on the list I've given, what item he is is still a secret.

Are you planning to have the RP go in a general direction? Like, are we all going to meet in the woods or something? Or will we be in disjointed groups?

You'll see, a story teller will never reveal too much.

Perhaps, but it helps set the tone for what we should expect to during our free time, without having to worry about setting up dangling plot lines and stuff.

 

...of course, now that we have mass abductions on our hands, that question doesn't matter much, since there is not a reference to play off of.

True, so, you guys should begin to get to know one another till the mysterious yokai appears to tell you that you're all going to die. Errr, I mean, going to save the world. I covered that up well.

Personality: December doesn't talk much, only when he needs to and even then he speaks very sarcastically to others. He's very precise, very demanding, and very quiet. That being said he isn't emo, dark, or anything along those lines. For whom it matters, it's what his job entails.

Bio: December was born into a family of Treasure Hunters. People who would search tombs and ruins for fame and fortune. Illegally of course. December of course isn't his real name, merely an alias he goes by. The only ones who know his real name are his family, and close friends. The latter nonexistent. Because what his family does is of course illegal, as they sneak into ruins and tombs to steal, he is often very defensive and secretive. The less people that know, the better. How he obtained the Broken Helmet should be obvious now. December found it in the midst of various corpses in Japan, specifically in the middle of the Aokigahara Forest (Look it up).

Okay Fen, your yokai is the Gashadokuru, a 15 foot tall skeleton made of the skeletons of unburied dead. When activated, the user summons the said skeleton and becomes the 'heart of the creature, residing within a protected rib cage. Slight downside is that his bones are your bones. So if any break, yours too will break. Won't that be fun?
