The air in the city of Runeden was thick with red smoke coming from the runeforges located around the underground city, and the caverns was filled with a sulfurous odour.

Walking through this smoke was a lot of dwarven runemages and merchants that had traveled to Runeden to sell their wares. There was also a tall, humanlike figure clothed in robes walking towarsd a small band of dwarves that was laughing and joking with eachother.

"Dwarves." The human said with a cold but calm voice. The dawrves immediately stopped laughing and looked at the human.

"Is that the Witch King?" One of them whispered to another one, but the human didn't mind.

"I was looking for a Tauren Druid. You may know where he is located..." The human calmly said. The apparent leader of the dwarves nodded at another one who ran away to get the Tauren.

At the same time, at a tavern named "The Troll's Tankard" an elf was sitting at a table. He was clothed in royal looking, dark purple clothes, with a big hat of the same color and was apparently playing a sort of gambling game with a Tengu.

"Looks like I won again!" The elf smiled and grabbed some gold pieces on the table, and the tengu murmured something on his native, demonic tongue and then walked away slowly. The elf threw some pieces of gold into the air and then grabbed them again.

"This is the perfect way of making a living!" He smiled to himself and kept throwing gold into the air and then grabbing it again.

((The Tauren Mordan is looking for is obviously Cor. You other people can start off wherever you want. A good start is if someone challanges the elf to a gambling game.))

((I'll take the bait.:D))

Suddenly, a swift hand caught one of the gold coins thrown into the air. Leif stepped the well-dressed elf, sizing the man up as he approached. A large, well-built man with a crossbow slung across his back, he was used to people shrinking away from him, and when the other tavern patrons did so, it did not bother him. "So you think you're good at this game, huh?" Leif sat down at the table, playing with the coin for a second before throwing it back onto the table. He smiled, and for a second he looked truly frightening, his face tightening. A second later, it was back to normal however. "How about a game of one-on-one?" He asked the elf, who seemed to be tongue-tied. "That's right. You against me. The elves themselves, your brethren, taught me it. You'll find it's a hard time beating me." Leif leaned over the table, silently challenging the elf with his eyes.

Vildar looked at the human that ahd appeared in front of him.

"I see." Vildar smiled. "We'll be playing 'Magic Number 33'"

Vildar showed the human two dies.

"It's an ancient game played by my brethren for a very long time. You see, we will take turns to roll the dies. We will add the number that the dice shows to our points. The first one to reach 33 points wins. However, if our points exceeds 33, we will instead decrease our point pool by the number that the die shows. Do you understand?"

Vildar didn't wait for an answer and instead threw one of the dies to his opponent and then rolled his.

My die is enchanted to allways get an exact roll of 33 at roll number five, so the only chance he got is if he rolls 33 before that...

Kaled was walking through the city of Runeden. He had heard that there was another Mage in the city, and was intrigued by this. He searched for signs of magic. His eye granted him special powers of sight, and was able to see magic. Kaled had been searching for days, and only found those who were just passing through the city. He had herd that this Mage was using his powers for self gain, conning others. It was strange that he could not find any magic, as the city should be full of magicians and wizards. Finally, he stopped. He saw the faint glow of an enchanted die. Kaled swiftly sped through the market towards the glow. As he got closer, the glow became larger, surrounding a man. This could be him he thought. He herd that they were playing magic number 33. He fit the description. He had an idea. He would baffle the man, by helping the target win. As the man rolled the die, Kaled whispered a spell, to move the die until it landed on 1. "Hasis Rama Clan" he said, just soft enough that it would not be heard.

Hmm. That was weird. The die usually only lands on a 1 if my number is 32 or 34. This should be interesting!

Vildar didn't notice the newly arrived mage and instead awaited Leif to roll his die. The elf then decided to learn to know his opponent.

"Tell, me human, what is your name, and how are you connected to the elves? You told me my brethren learned you how to play this game, so I grew curious."

A figure wearing a robe behind Vildar was watching the game, but the man was only focused on one person in the group of 3 saying quietly to him self,"Finally i found you.", making sure no one could hear. He saw the previous dice role on a one, also thinking it is weired, "Well that was weird. Maybe to weird or am it thinking to much in to it. No! You need to focus!" While he talked to himself Quietly, he mad it seems like there was more that one mind at work inside his head, his body was almost split between two concentrated and erratic personalities.

Rogarran marched through the marketplace with a squad of 5 recruits to become town guards, moving in perfect unison Rogarran suddenly made a fist and put it up, saying the recruits had to stop, Dwarves where all looking at a certain human, and it pulled Rogarran's attention "What's going on here!?" He yelled with a booming voice, and told the group of recruits to return to the barracks. Rogarran stepped towards the Human with a rather angered face "Who do you think you are? Coming into here, disturbing the Dwarves?!"

Mordan looked at the newly arrived dwarf.

"I was looking for a Tauren Druid." The human kneeled so that he was in level with the dwarf. "And maybe other kind of allies. You look like a strong individual, would you like to join the Cult of the Twin Stars? We could use someone of your strength."

Mordan smirked maliciously and looked at the dwarf with a piercing stare. He then raies to standing position and turned to the other dwarves again.

"So where's the Tauren?"

"Don't ever kneel to stand at my 'level' or i will give you some manners, Human." Rogarran said with a biting tone. "I don't need to join anything as a cult! Sharing a brotherhood with the likes of you would just be insulting to a Dwarf." Rogarran turned to the crowd and ordered them to help the Human fast so he could leave.

The figure stared at Rogarran: even though everyone couldn't tell because he was under a Robe. he Said softly to him and Tauren , "I am Ralgad, how are you doing? I am here on business transaction. I would like to ask you to not start a fight.", his voice had a different pitch it almost seemed like a different person was talking in an almost creepy tone ,"i would hate to intervene in this fight, this world already has...to much death as we stands. Let us find a compromise." Unannounced to everyone else he turned in to his elf form, and was pulling out a potion form under his robe.

"Hmph, i'm the head of the generals of the Dwarven Army in Runeden! Who do you think you are talking to me like that?" Rogarran replied, "Come forward now, Elf, and say that to my face!" Rogarran grabbed his battleaxe and was holding it firmly as a sign of authority.

he took off the hood of his robe and keeping his hands raised the test tube still in his hand, "O come please put that toy away. Someone ... could get hurt. Mainly You." He went down as he smashed the test tube on the ground Causing Black Smoke to appear around him,"Know if i am right you will soon start to swing at crazily at me, just like the rest of the Dwarfs, or will you please back off and let me go in peace."

"You obviously don't know who i am don't you? If i want, one word will suffice and the whole Dwarven kingdom will be waging war upon you!" He said as he started walking towards the Elf only with a grin and dark eyes on his face, "I should just have you arrested and ban you out of Runeden, but no, you just made it personal."

The fog was slowly started to fade away, but there was something wrong with Ralgad's Robe. It was floating over a pile of black ash. All that came from the robe, was is voice," AA you know how long it took me to make this potion 6 day", he know sounded like his normal joking self, "It is like people don't care about the amount of time it takes to make a potion any more. Anyway i am sorry but i need to leave i don't fight with out a reason." After he was finished the robe also turned ash.

Kaled watched the commotion. Another mage. "This looks like a good time to present myself" he thought. He moved toward the group. He didn't notice the poster on a pillar next to him. It stated that anyone practicing or performing any form of magic must be arrested. "Man, those robes are wicked cool!" he called out, "Mind if I borrow it sometime?". Everyon spun towards him. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Kaled Dal, and I need this guy here" he said.

"Nice roll." Leif said sarcastically. "A 1. Well, let's see if I can do any better." Leif grabbed his die in one hand when he heard the commotion outside of the shop. Looking out the only window in the tavern, he spotted a dwarf and a elven mage going at it. Whatever. Leif thought, turning back to the table. Racial differences where no concern of his. Not really, since he was a Dragonoid, but still...he wished it was true. "Alright, let's get this over with." Leif threw the die, which landed... a 5. "Hm." Leif said, and then suddenly something clicked in his mind. This die has been used in magic before! Leif wasn't sure how he knew, thought it was undoubtedly his draconic "gifts" at work, but he suddenly realized the elf facing him had cheated before, and was probably doing the same thing right now. Well then, Leif thought angrily, let's give him a taste of his own medicine!

"I'm raising the bet," Leif announced out of the blue. "I'll raise the bet by... 150 crowns." Leif pulled 15 gold coins, each worth 10 crowns each, out of the money-pouch attached to his belt. They were all the money he had made today, the work of several month's hard working. As Leif pushed them onto the table, he suddenly realized what he was risking. Three months' money lost if his trick didn't work...but it was too late now. The money was on the table.

((Crowns? Using Scandinavian money now, are we? ;D))

Mordan watched the commotion, but instead of interfering he took a seat at a bench and watched the dwarf and the elf duke it out.

At the same time, Vildar didn't care about the event taking place outside, but he was sure happy that the human raised his bet.

"Kehehe..." He giggled a bit and then rolled his die, which rolled for a few seconds and then landed on a 5, just like Leif's had done.

"That means that my points is now six. Your turn." Vildar smiled at him and itched his soulpatch as he waited for the humans next move.

Kaled grabbed Raglad by the neck collar, and dashed toward the small shop. "No time to explain, I need you, and this guy right here!" He said, as they escaped. Guards were called to chase them down. Kaled dragged the elf toward Vildar. "Hey you! With the trick dice! Ya I know about the dice! I need you to come with me!" he exclaimed. "Hey, money! I'll need this" picking up the 150, "I'll pay you back!". Kaled whispered words of magic, as they began glowing, with a faint outline of pink.

"Don't think so!" Leif jumped out of his chair and roared. A bone-chilling, skin-tingling roar. Leif blinked, and suddenly his eyes were that of a lizards, long, blue, and with a single black slash down the middle. His hand shot out and grabbed Kaled's sleeve, transforming into a dragon's paw, complete with pitch-black claws that dug into Kaled's skin. He had almost completed his transformation into dragon before Leif's self-control reasserted itself. His trnasformation suddenly stopped and for a moment, Leif looked like a human-sized lizard...much to the shock of the tavern. Gasps came first, them complete pandemonium as people realized he was a Dragonoid. Dang. Leif thought, barely noticing the ping tinge that enveloped him too. Looks like I'm not coming back here anytime soon.

Kaled finished his chant. Just as one of the guards was about to tackle them, the group phased out. They moved through what looked to be a long winding passage, flying through crystaline lights, with images of everything, and every time. The short trip was over as suddenly as it began, when they appeared in a library. With a crash, they hit a bookshelf, knocking it down. Kaled got up, and looked around, to make sure they were in the right place. They weren't. Kaled narrowed his gaze toward Leif. He wasn't supposed to be here. Kaleds arm stung, as he noticed that it had a large gash in it. It was seering with pain. What was worse, is that the spell drained his energy, and took even more power fom him by adding the extra person. "You imcompitent fool! You overshot my spell, and we are miles from the original destination!" he yelled at Leif. He turned to Vildar and Raglad. "I've been looking for you. I need you to help me with something. I am in search of a mythical item called The Gem of Matthaias. You may have heard of it. It is locked in a tower, in the middle of an enchanted forest, but alone, I do not have enough power to obtain it. Will you help me?"

((Sorry for not posting. I tried yesterday, but my com shut down.))

Around Kaled a sudden bright light flashed, and soon the form of a giant bull came out of a hole. "Come here. You need to ask politely before pulling summon through a portal." The large creature grunted, grabbing the mage's collar. Another swirl appeared around the group and they landed back in the middle of the town, and the Tauren looked around for the boy who had called for him before. "I'm sorry. I dont like people miss-using magic, or being inpolite. And you, Vildar, I told you to stop cheating." The Tauren said, looking over his shoulder at Vildar. Everyone around him was gobsmacked and backing off, except the few who knew him, and Mordan. The Tauren knew he was intimidating. I mean, who wouldn't be afraid of an 9 foot bull creature, with a giant axe, sword and staff. He looked back at Mordan again and stooped to greet him. "I'm Cor, the Tauren Druid you were looking for. Why did you call for me?"

"I am Mordan, Cor of the Mountains." Mordan said and smirked at the bull. "I know that you're on trial, and I have payed to get you free. But in exchange, you will have to follow me. You see, I could have great use for you, and you now belong to me."

Mordan pulled a paper out of his robes and showed it to the Tauren. Some of the dwarves nodded at the bullman, signaling that the papers told the truth.

Vildar, shocked at everything that had just happend, looked at Cor and had an expression of disgust on his face. He then looked at Leif and smirked.

"So, you're a dragon?" He asked and looked surprised. "I didn't know your kind took the time to enter the cities of mortals."

He then looked at Kaled.

"Before Cor brought us back here you mentioned the Gem of Matthaias? I've heard of it and it's magic powers, isn't it some kind of elven artifact?"

"Thank you. And sorry for that, Rogarran. I know that I should stay with you at all time's, and that I was under arrest. I'm am truly sorry. And thank you again, Mordan." Cor said, standing taller. He then heard the name of a jewel, the gem of Matthaias. "You try getting it and you will die. I was trained by one of the powerfullest mages in the world, and he went after it. He told me that three days later, he came out, almost unconcious, his arm limp, one eye gouged out and 45 different broken bones. Using his druid powers, he managed to heal himself, but he never truly recovered. I'm telling you. Whatever is guarding it is powerful. Probably a greater life, unlike us. Even Me, a Tauren, one of the closest lesser lives to a Greater life, besides Elves and the like, and Leif, a Dragonoid wouldn't even come close to a creature that great. And I dont believe you are a greater life, Leif. If you were, that mage wouldn't have been able to transport you without consent." Cor explained. He then turned back to Mordan. "What did you wish of me, Mordan?" Cor asked, a sly smile on his lips. He and Mordan knew full well that Mordan wouldn't be able to hold back a fully grown Tauren, especially a druid one.

Ralgad appeared out side of the city in his original form, he ran behind some trees looked directly at Vildar saying to him self,"there you are. that 500,000 is worth all of this running around." he was holding his staff with the sapphire towards the ground. Having his hand on it at all time in case if someone noticed him.

OoC: Here's hoping that I'm not intruding too much into the story.

IC: Kikuchi walked down the street with a large burlap sack full of groceries, blocking a lot of his front view. For most of the time he had been a part of the cult, he had been making dinner with the girls. The main reason he would do a woman's job was because whenever he was asked to, he could never refuse as he was far too shy to refuse. He didn't mind it too much as he didn't like the other male cult members who always pushed him around, he was still discriminated by the female cult members who thought he was silent and creepy.

As Kikuchi walked down the street, he noticed a lot of activity happening at the pub. It wasn't unusual for there to be bar fights over gambling at the Troll's Tankard, but something caught Kikuchi's eye: one man had a dragon's claw for a hand. Kikuchi stopped in his tracks. He had read about the incredibly rare Dragonoid in the Cult library, but he had never thought that he would ever encounter one for himself. He so desperately wanted to meet this dragonoid and study how he came to be, but as soon as he took a step towards the Tankard, his intense shyness kicked in.

Kikuchi felt a cold sweat develop as a battle between his shyness and his desire for knowledge was waged in his psyche. What if the dragonoid was hostile? What if his dragon blood emerged at that moment? These questions raged through his head as he placed the groceries on the ground. Eventually, he swollowed his inhibitions and slowly approached the doorway. He was still frozen as he tried to walk into the pub interior, so he peeked in from the doorway.
