Astro Dude
Because that theme song makes there entrance 10X more epic then it was before I see your point. --Here's an idea, let's give the Ginyu Force their own tv series.

5252345262667
I have to admit the filler in the original DBZ was good (Long fight scenes, like Majin Vegeta vs Goku, it was a long good battle. In the manga it was like 5 panels.,) just a few parts made it actually boring (It took goku SO LONG to get to Namek)

Azure Flame Kite
I actually bought the first part of Kai, having been 9 when I first found Toonami (This was when it had 4 hours of anime, 1 of DBZ/GT). I'd only bought the games so far, and when I saw the first thirteen episodes, I thought "The dub's better, but I don't particularly like the whole cutting it short thing." It was made to introduce the series to a younger generation, our thread creator being a prime example, but most kids these days, including me, don't have a very high tolerance for filler, no matter how epic the series itself is, so it would make some sort of sense to cut out the whole powering up and training episodes, even though it makes no sense in the recaps. I found myself thinking "Wait, but they never showed this!" when they briefly displayed Goku training with the Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb. I also found myself trying to get used to the brief changes between the new action scenes and the original ones. As for the translation fix, I noticed it, and didn't really care. It's 8000 now? Whatever.

They never showed the actual training scene in fillers either.
Azure Flame Kite
Shows how little I've actually watched from the show, doesn't it? Don't blame me for finding these shows too late to enjoy it.
