I support

because I learned plenty of codes because of the Auto thingy' date=' but had to scroll around figuring out the Spoiler Code.

Seriously I find it so hard to believe that you people find it so hard just to do that ._.

 

i find it hard toi beleive that u continuosuly argue about the difficulty... when u bold words or underline do u do it manually or do u press the tage buttons? its not hard obviously' date=' but if someone wants to post a set then obviously itll be much quicker to do...especially for new members who dont knmow the codes by heart.[hr']

Pointless; don't waste the admins' time. No support.

I continuously argue about the difficulty? Please thats my first real statement in this thread about the difficulty. Before I was asking you to improve on your grammar and I did not say anything about your idea which I am doing now.

 

I type it in manually when I'm posting a quick reply but when I preview the post if I haven't done it earlier I do press the buttons If I feel like it.

 

I'm just saying that most members here are lazy and don't even try to type the codes in manually its a good skill to learn if you just type it in manually as it improves your typing as well. If you just click the buttons then it just teaches you how to click on buttons but what happens if you come across a situation where you can't just simply click a button? You'd be pretty much screwed.

lol yea but i doubt a few hours on YCM typing will make that much of a difference and besides, fine, for 1-4 cards you can just simply type in the spoiler code but what if your posting 20 cards in a set? r u honestly telling me that it doesnt get annoying? and what type of unbearable situation would restrict u from not pressing a button?

 

u cant honestly tell me it would be worse to have the feature

WTF!? I just said that it won't matter because stupid threads on how to do it will still be posted. Yet you used my argument as support for the other side?

well yea, which is why a simple "theres a spoiler tag, just highlight thre text and clik the button" would be a pretty simple answer especially for newer members, this is just a suggestion to improve YCM in a small way

sure, but u may want to add [spoiler=this]"we chose to get rid of a simple way of pressing a button so you can take the extra time to write in the codes rather then highlight the text and simply press a button because in life you'll get life threatning situations where you can't just press a button, you may have to type"

just to clear the air for them.

this suggestion cant possibly make YCM worse.

The only people who would need this are those who are absolutely anal about formatting specific things (like myself). And since those who would use it often take far shorter time to type it out than Highlight and Click, it's unneeded.

 

When I format posts, I do it all DURING its creation. Because you know what you want already and prep yourself ahead of time. Its far easier to do it like that. The ONLY way I'd see an acceptable BBCode shortcut would be like

[align=center]

[splr=insert spoiler title here]
Content
[/splr]

[/align]

And even in that case it isn't much shorter.
