"Wha--WHAT?!" Rui looked on in disbelief as her monster was literay disarmed and its tail shattered. "Well at least some of my Hurrix cards have that failsafe..." Quickly she pressed a button on the Razorback to activate a trap card. "I play Defence Draw, meaning I draw a card AND take no damge, you wierd cyborg thing!" She hastily drew as Hurrix turned grey and shattered into millions of pieces.

Damian kept himself form fainting, but only ended up making himself shout angrily.

"WHAT?! I don't know you! Even if you look VERY much like an Atlas..." He calmed himself down at the last part. "I'm sorry for shouting just then...But I really don't know you."

The Bandaged Man looked over his body, still wondering what had happened to him, until he heard the response. "I set 2 cards face-down and end my turn."

 

The cute woman sat down, wrapped her arms around Damian, then placed her head on his shoulder, a single tear flowing down from her eye. "You're exactly what she said you would be. Mom told me so many stories about you, and now that you're here, I would love to just be with you." The girl started sobbing into Damian's shoulder. "I'm so glad to have finally met you!"

Rui frowned and drew her next card. When she looked, she smiled evilly. "Shuffel is a strange thing, like you, but I'm not going down to easily! I summon Mechanicalchaser!!" A large green machine appeared from the light. Its many arms flickered around. (ATK 1850). "Mechanicalchaser attack Shuffel!"

Feeling touched by his 'daughter''s emotional state, Damian embraced her softly in an attempt to stop her sobbing.

"She? You mean...Itsu?! But...Oh god I am so confused...How can you be my daughter? You look at least 20!"

"DJ, it is DJ, right? You do realize that there are twenty nine Duel Spirits at your disposal right now, right?" Sapphire asked, "Rainbow alone could break you out of here, be your getaway car, and be your getaway driver all in one. The Eagles, your Pegasuses, and myself could keep us from being tailed, the Mammoths and Turtles could easily shield you, leaving the Tigers and Cats... Well, let's be perfectly honest, the Tigers and Cats aren't really gonna be too useful."

 

"When you get to be as old as Amber and I are, you don't really see the point in keeping track." Emerald said, "That whole Paradox thing put the two of us off interdimensional travel though." Emerald said, with Amber snorting in agreement, "Don't mind him. He hasn't spoken since The Incident."

The woman cuddled up a bit closer to Damian. "My name is Pandora Protheus Atlas, and Mom created me from herself using a technique called 'self-fertilization'. But Mom then realized that her baby, me, would simply be a clone of herself, so she sought out your genetic material to complete me and make me a true child of the two of you. She found that genetic material, but I started to reject the material. Even using several packets of nanobots wouldn't help me, and it was almost certain that I would be a miscarriage, until a Prothean, a host of a section of Protheus, offered to infuse the shard of Protheus inside of him inside me and add some more genetic diversity to my DNA. It somehow worked, and Protheus became my other father."

 

Itsu went over and hugged Ruby. "Shh. It's alright." Itsu calmly reassured Ruby in a motherly voice. "Everything's fine. Let's just go into the city, now."

Desna, Itsu, and the others went into Tsukuyomi, but several guards came out once they heard Trixie and Vicky were en route.

DJ considered it. Then put his shining and Advanced crystals beasts in their cards. DJ put the cards in his deck. " Then let's go. Once we find Ruby we have to come back for Carly. Anyway let's get a move on." DJ said rallying them. " Okay can both the Ambers smash through the wall?" DJ said to the mammoths.

 

Ana Lucia followed Itsu and Desna. " Excuse me Itsu what exactly are we here for?" Ana asked her.

"Hold it kid, I activate the effect of Summon Reactor HEA, I can negate the effect of your monster simply by discarding a card from my hand!" a single blast fired from a secondary cannon on the tank creature, blasting the puppy's spirit back into Yashiro's graveyard.

 

"Your fields wide open now ain't it? so Machina Gearframe won't mind attacking you directly will he?" The orange machine then jumped up, preparing another kick and then sent itself down at the boy.

"Pretty dark move for you princess, didn't think you had it in you."

 

A metallic Duel Runner resembling a all to familiar base drove up to Vicky. In the seat, was a grinning green haired young man with aquamarine eyes and a metallic silver MAGI suit on his body. "I knew you were ruthless, but summoning your Dark Transformations! That's just a whole new kind of sinister!"

Ruby hugged Itsu close, "But... The Crystal Beasts are gone... Just like that..." The panicked hybrid told the MAGI, "I don't know what happened... They just stopped existing..." She was shivering uncontrollably, "You don't know what it's like... From birth, I've had seventeen Duel Spirits living in my soul. Every time I send one of them out, I get a little weaker. Usually, I'm in a fight so I have an excess of adrenaline in my veins to keep me going. That's why I only have the migraine from hell right now. But without that adrenaline..." As if on cue, Ruby collapsed in Itsu's arms, exhausted.

 

Amber let out a huff and shook Topaz off his back, "That's a yes, by the way." Emerald told them, noting how nonchalantly they reacted to his mention of The Incident. "OK, give it a good old fashioned Amber Stomp!"

Itsu, Desna, Ruby, and Ana were crossing a bridge that was just barely lit in red light, with some other red lights off in the distance. "Ameratasu and Tsukuyomi combine to make the headquarters of the Steel Rose Resistance Corps." Desna explained. "We're currently passing through Tsukuyomi to get to Ameratasu, the heart of the resistance. Due to the confusing nature of these tunnels and pipelines, you probably haven't noticed that we are 6000 feet, over a mile, beneath the surface of Satellite. With reinforced concrete surrounding Tsukuyomi, and a 3-foot-thick titanium-alloy shell around Ameratasu, it would take something short of a nuclear warhead to crack the shell of our city."

Ana Lucia looked around the foretress. Ana Looked at Desna and her jaw dropped. " So this place is tighter than Fort Knox? great. PERFECT." Ana said to her in amazement.

 

 

Meanwhile DJ looked at the hole in the wall. He climbed on his pegasus and signaled it to fly out it. The then signaled the rest of the beasts. " let's get out of here." DJ said almost overwhelmed abot the amount of spirits in his soul. I got to get these guys home quick. DJ thought.

"Rainbow, passenger incoming!" Sapphire shouted, causing the large Dragon to pick DJ up by the collar and deposit him on its back, "Pegasus, Cobalt Eagles, remember, we're on offense." He shouted, "Amber Mammoths, Emerald Turtles, you guys are defense. Amethyst Cats, Topaz Tigers, you four take care of the leftovers in the tail section!"

 

Topaz, Amber, Emerald, Cobalt, and Amy all nodded and got into their respective positions, while Carbuncle scampered around playfully for a few moments and hid herself in Rainbow's left wing.

Protheus turned elsewhere. He had just caught on Damian's aura, but it was weak and far, and down deep. He had also caught on a different Itsu's aura, stupid her, probably creating a Time Paradox like that. And there was another aura, himself. From down there with Damian, himself. Great, so he himself is creating a time paradox. Or was he? Either way, it probably wasn't so important anyhow, so he just ignored it. Even if he and Itsu were creating a time paradox somehow, Protheus decided it to be best to ignore them. And he would visit Damian later, he was curious as to the boy's fate.

"I-Itsu?!" Damian ruttered her name without realising. He took in every word Pandora said, but he found it hard to respond with that. It took him several minutes to even think of thinking of responding, his head trying to comprehend the situation.

"So...wait...technically you have two fathers? Even by MAGI standards this is wierd. I'm sorry, I may understand this all but somehow it's just seeming too farfetched." Damian sat himself down again, restying his head in his hands, his brain acheing.

Pandora laughed. "As far-fetched as a dimension-hopping kingdom of clowns?" She asked before a flash of blue light appeared in the room, and a beautiful clown in a risque blue outfit appeared. She had black hair on one side, blue hair on the other, blue facepaint around her eyes, and a pair of glowing blue angel wings on her back.

"Princess, we have to go. Desna is en route to the command center with Itsu."

"I will, Rinoa. Just give me a minute."

Pandora took Damian's hand and yanked him out of bed, then took him into Jack and Carly's room. Everyone seemed to be fast asleep, which was unusual, considering how early in the night it was.

"I had Patchouli and Marisa cast a widespread sleeping spell on everyone but you so we could get in here, but Yliaster might still be onto us, so this is the only time we're going to risk this." Pandora explained as they eased open the door to reveal another clown girl, this one with red, orange, and purple hair, a pink and yellow outfit similar to Rinoa's and rather large...you know...standing over Carly as a shimmering translucent field surrounded the woman, who, surprisingly, seemed calm and healthier.

"Orihime, how goes the healing?"

"Almost done, Princess!" Orihime cheerfully reported. "I've managed to reject the illness in her lungs, but this stuff isn't any normal ailment. It's actually some sort of spatial anomaly that has attached itself onto Carly, rapidly aging her lungs! Really interesting stuff! Be glad I not only caught this when I did, but that her lungs are in incredible shape! She had hours left, at the best! I was honestly surprised she lasted this long!"

"Can you completely heal her?"

"What we're dealing with is a side-effect of a Ferguson Double being in this timeline too long. I can make her lungs as young as they can without turning them immature. That way, she'll have another year at most! But I really hope it doesn't start a resonance effect with anyone else she's closely related to."

"Really? Well, we're short on time, but I'll try to be back ASAP. You stay here with Damian and tell him what's happening to his Mom in Plain English."

"Yes, ma'am!" Orihime happily replied as she wrapped up Carly's treatment.

 

"Dimensional Prison!" The bandaged man replied, a vortex sucking up Mechanicalchaser.

Regulus continued through the tunnel, not caring for a second if the ex-officer he defeated could have survived, though he highly doubted it.

 

He stopped when he, according to the projector, was roughly half-way through the tunnel that went directly beneath the small ocean that divided New Domino and Satellite. He checked the screen one last time, searching for anything that would tell him where the intruder was.

 

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing except the map itself.

"It must have found a blind spot"

He deactivated the projector and slid it away in his sleeve.

"Whoever or whatever it is will drown if it is hiding down here"

 

He summoned Blazel, which assembled in moments.

Regulus focused his powers on his Machine Emperor, making whatever damage Blazel would create real, the difference being him not dueling and thereby required to use a lot more power to make Blazel create real damage.

 

He pointed at the top of the tunnel and simply uttered

"Fire" before escaping through a portal before the whole tunnel was flooded through the hole created by Blazel´s attack.

"Damn!" Cursed Rui. This seemed surprising to most consideirng she looked only 8. Irritated, she decides to opt for her only remaining option. "I activate Monster Reborn to return Machine Emperor Hurrix Infinity!" The steel body appeared and acquired the glowing part within the infinity symbol.

 

"It looks like I need to up my game a bit. I activate Hurrix Upgrade from my field!" Rui discarded her entire hand and then took out four cards from her deck. "This means I can summon Hurrix's true form! Go! Hurrix Edgeshot 2, Lift 2, Spike 2 and Cap 2!!"

 

At this, Hurrix suddenly aquired red and blue parts fitting each of its slots, with wings, arms, a head and tail. (2100) It roared loudly with its nonexistant mouth.

"That's all from me."

Damian gave a sigh of relief and gave a slightly happier look.

"Thank goodness she'll be ok...I don't know what I would do if she were to die...Wait...Feguson twin? What in the name of Duel Monsters is that?" He tried hard to think about what it could mean but had no clue. He just gave a blank look at Orihime.

"It's 'Ferguson Twin', silly!" Orihime corrected as she started examining Jack. "It's a C3 term. Basically, the story goes that a C3 Agent on leave named Ferguson accidentally ended up on the wrong timeline, and he encountered his alternate self. They quickly bonded, but things kept trying to kill him. Essentially, the longer they stayed together, and the closer in proximity they were, the worse their immediate family became. Eventually, other people around them started to rapidly age and die. C3 intervened, and killed off the A. What this phenomenon means is that, if you have two copies of the same person in the same timeline, the continuum itself will not only try to kill off the copies, but also hurt their immediate family."

Orihime looked up at Damian. "So, do you know anyone in your family who might have an alternate version of themselves?"

Damian looked in thought for several moments, finding it hard to believe her mother was in such a state because of a relative. After several moments he started to have old memories resurface, from the more recent C3 events to the distant Dark Signer ones. Eventually he recalled the one person whom he had met before and yet somehow always forgot;

"Vicky!! Victoria Atlas!" he shouted out loud.

At the same time Damian realized who it was, a little girl walked in. She had black hair like Carly's, warm purple eyes, and a black nightgown. She appeared to be about 10, but Damian knew that her actual age was about half of that. A black cat with blue eyes, black sclera, and two purple bangs was also following the girl.

"Damian, did you see that woman going down the hallway? She looked like a clown, but she was very beautiful, and had on these cool robes. She stopped to pet Kiana, saying she knew another Kiana, and she called me 'Aunt Tori'. Do you know her? Because she faintly resembled Itsu." Tori then noticed Orihime, and she perked up. "Do you know that clown woman? Because you're a clown as well, but not the scary clowns at the circus. You seem to have an aura of happiness and joy around you."

Orihime giggled. "Thank you so much! You're right, I am a very cheery person! My name is Orihime, and I am a Clown Warrior, a special type of clown. I serve Pandora, the Clown Princess, the woman who you met in the hallway. Right now, I'm healing your mother and your father on Pandora's orders." Orihime walked over to Tori and squatted down to face the child. "So, do you have anyone in your family who is very similar to you?"

Ana lucia looked around again and then at Itsu. This woman must have some power over the universe especially if she has DJ Kaiba looking up to her. Anyways what the hell are we doing here anyway? Ana Lucia asked herself. She thought of all things Itsu would be concerned about Damian.

 

~Meanwhile~

Dj was speaking with the Crystal beasts. " Where exactly is Ruby?" He questioned the pegasus he was getting quite impatient especially if Itsu was with Ruby.

"I heard the words Ametarasu and Tsukuyomi come up a lot..." Amy told DJ, "I wasn't really paying attention, though, so I'm not sure if either one of those are places or not." She shrugged and padded over to where Topaz was playing with Carbuncle, "Topaz, dear, did you happen to manage to keep your mind off me long enough for us to know where Ruby is?"

 

"No, not really." Topaz said, "There was a gate and Duel Puzzles, maybe a brief discussion on Japanese mythology, but that's about it."

They finally reached another set of giant metal doors, and they opened up to reveal a huge hallway with people in them. The citizens stopped and watched as the Duelephant rolled in, then they saw Itsu, and they all started to cheer.

"Why are they cheering for me? I haven't done anything yet!"

"Itsu, from what I heard, you helped save the world. Twice. That's why they are cheering: you are a beacon of hope to them. They see you as their savior, someone who will triumph over the Unos and get their homes back."

The convoy rolled into a giant circular opening that had a giant sun-like light at the top. Above and below were levels of buildings, with bridges crossing the gap.

"Welcome, boys and girls, to the city of Ameratasu."

"But what about Itsu? She could be a problem." Protheus said.

He descended down into the ground. He then continued faze further through through the ground like a ghost. He couldn't be detected or noticed. Nor did he care. Personally, the sky seemed a better place to place your base but underground is more safe. That is, if you call a 'mega cave-in' safe.

"One quick look, and then I'll go back up. The earth makes me sick."

" AMERATASU? THE AMERATASU? THE FORTRESS OF THE STEEL ROSE, AMERATASU. Man you guys real go-getters. So what is Itsu a member of the steel rose? Or Ruby? Why would they be there anyway?" DJ told Topaz and Amy. The steel rose was adueling gang in the satelite he heard about them but never really got to know their motives mainly because his own comapny was in Neo Domino.

Ana Lucia turned to Itsu. " Wow. DJ wasn't exaggerating about you. So what do we do now Itsu?" Ana Lucia asked her.
