DJ looked at Damian with sorrow and compassion. Sorrow for what he has to go through. DJ remembered his own past. Growing up without parents thanks to Aslla Piscu and the other Earthbound Immortals. He found peace in his skybound Ucsip Allsa but was infuriated when it took over his body and forced him to use the skylyph. "Hey Damian! You okay man?" DJ said trying to comfort his cousin. They were in two different cells so it was hard to the Heart-to- Heart stuff DJ could usually pull off.

Protheus then remembered something. "By the way, where's that kid? Damian Atlas? I'm curious." He asked. He remembered the last thing he told Damian before disappearing.....

"Although people who become robots are impossible to become full human again. You can save their emotions but you can't save them completely. Do you still want to do this?"

"But....I...there MUST be a way to restore them...Yuki has a long life still to lead, and Izzy...she wasn't purely a human, but she also had a good life to have...with me.......and..." he just drove past Protheus in rage, faster than he had before and was ready to do ANYTHING.

When Regulus exited the portal near one of the many entrances to the old tunnels, he was already on his D-wheel, Red Nova, and with the front lights acting as his only source of light and skimming along the ground, he entered the almost maze like system of tunnels.

 

Normally, it would take hours to scout every tunnel but thankfully, the sensors were still tracking the intruder and showed his or her exact location to Regulus.

And with his D-wheel, he would be there in a mere moment.

Ana Lucia saw regulus and turned on her sirens her being in security uniform will hopefull give her some power. She again in case loaded her gun. "Hey you pull over! Orill have to force you into a turbo duel!" Ana Lucia yelled over at him. she got ready to activate her duel runner duel systems. Of course the streets and tunnels old Turbo duel system still worked. A little... She loaded her deck hopefully she woundn't have to duel him. She just wanted to know where she was an how she was to DJ's.

Itsu also wondered that question. "Yeah. I've been wondering that too. Where's Damian?"

Desna and all of the other soldiers hung their heads in shame.

Itsu started to frown. "What? Did something happen to Damian? Is he alright?"

"Itsu, it's time I told you about what's happened while you've been away. For starters-"

Desna was cut off by some cackling in the tunnels.

Two Duel Runners drove up to the group, one green and one yellow. Their riders were also similarly colored, one with flowing blonde hair and a gold-colored bodysuit, while the other had spiky green hair and a jade bodysuit.

"Trixie, Itsu, wonderful to see you two again." Cassie sneered. "It's just like a family reunion! All we need is Saizen. You two seen her?"

"What are you two doing here?" Trixie asked.

DJ looked at Damian with a frown. Damn I knew Damian had depression problems but not like this. I know his mom is sick but that gives him no right to ignore me. Itsu! where in the name of HELL are you? DJ thought to himself. Itsu has been gone since Yusei's funeral. DJ just saw Damian again. DJ wondered if they broke up or had a row. Oh well i guess im going to die in this S**thole. I never thought i'd end like this. thought to himself.

"Well, we've been very busy." Nikki continued. "For one thing, we're no longer Nicole and Casey. We've changed our names...to Nikki and Cassie!"

The name change elicited no reaction from the group, except a few sweat drops.

"But our name change isn't important. What is important is that we are now under the employ of the local United Nations Peacekeeping Forces to help them hunt down rebellious MAGI and exterminate them!"

Itsu was about to take them on, but Trixie held out her arm to stop her elder "sister".

"How about I make you a deal? You two and me, we duel. You win, you can take me back with you to the Green Zone. You lose, you go back empty-handed. How does that sound?"

"Of course we're going to take that deal!" Cassie chuckled. "There's one of you and two of us!"

Damian looked up at DJ, managing to fake a smile.

"Does it really look like I'm ok with my mother dying in front of me...?" He shed a tear before just suddenly rising up and embracing his cousin. "But I caused so many deaths before...And not being able to help Carly makes me feel responsible for her pain..."

 

Rui finally found her way out of the corridor maze, and was now standing in a larger hall remeniscant of a ballroom. She quickly walked through, trying to have as little notice of her taken as possible.

Another motorcycle drove up, this one black and spiralesque. Its rider was cloaked in a black material that seemed to be equal parts nanites and shadow. The woman pulled back her cloak to reveal a pale face with piercing purple pupils in two pools of black with an X-shaped mask of nanites across her face. A girl with pale blonde hair and a silver armored outfit also got off of the bike, along with a sandy-haired boy with brown clothing.

"I'll join Trixie in this little reunion duel." Vicky simply replied to the two, as if it was a fact. "Besides, I never got to properly kick your asses last time we fought."

"You think it was easy for me? My mom and Dad were killed by Aslla Piscu when I was FOUR. great time to lose your parents and see their dead bodies right?" He embraced Damian back. "How do you know she is going to die? Maybe help will come. Hope is the only thing we have. If we lose that then we are done for." DJ said to him.

 

Mean while Ana pulled over Regulus. "You do realize the speed you were going is past any speed limt on the world right? Im sorry but Im going to have to take you in." Ana said to him. her team were already in full security outfit. Ready to take regulus if he tried to escape.

Regulus chuckled slightly

"I´m surprised you could catch up to that"

He reached for a button on the right handle and in what would probably seem like seconds, he started his D-wheel and pushed the button that activated his over boost, resulting in him leaving a small trail of flames.

"But can you match this!" He shouted back and laughing almost like a maniac, already very far away from Ana and rapidly disappearing even further away.

 

From what he had seen through the red visor of his helmet and due to her having a Sector Security styled D-wheel, the woman that pulled him over seemed to be an officer.

 

Regulus sighted slightly, feeling the effects of his over boost disappearing and his D-wheel loosing even more speed.

"Why does Sector Security always have to interfere with our work when we´re only doing what´s best for mankind?" He thought to himself while trying to hear if the woman from Security seemed to catch up to him.

Just in case she would, Regulus made his deck and a wrist dealer materialize on his right arm.

 

No doubt had his little escape caused a lot of noise and whatever it was down here in these tunnels that Regulus originally was going to check, it was likely to have heard it.

 

But no matter, if it did escape, Regulus could easily destroy the tunnels to stop them from being used as transport for Steel Rose.

"Okay team lets chase this mutherfu**** down." Ana Lucia pulled up a map on her duel runner and then pressed a secret button near the wheels. Her turbo engine was powered by the thing that powered the machine kings. She sped after regulus and activated Speed world and dragged Regulus into it. A rumble was heard behind Regulus. Ana had caught up to him. "You think you can get away from me?" Ana said to him. Her turbo deck ready. She got ready to rumble and take-down her opponent this time arond.

Trixie and the others hopped back on their Duel Runners.

"So, you ready?"

"Of course."

Trixie revved off, with the other three behind her. She plotted a course through the tunnel system, and sent it to her companions.

"LET'S DUEL!!!"

"I Normal Summon Psychic Snail in Attack Mode!"

A snail-like creature with a humanoid torso burst out of some nearby scrap and hovered over to Nikki, floating beside her. (1900 ATK)

"Now I will set 2 cards, then end my turn!"

Regulus started to chuckle as soon as he heard the roaring sound which he guess was from some kind of booster system that Sector Security must have upgraded their D-wheels with.

 

"You don´t know when to give up, do you?" He said almost mockingly when he noticed his D-wheel activated Speed World 2 on its own and plotted a course.

"However, this duel is going to have a little twist" He added as the infinity symbol appeared around their D-wheels.

 

Regulus: 4000 LP

Ana: 4000 LP

 

"Since I´m the one that was challenged, I will be going first" Regulus said as he drew five cards and then an additional one.

 

He took a moment to inspect his hand

 

"And I´ll start by summoning my Blaze Core"

What could easily be described as a red version of Wise core with an amber pattern in the same style, appeared on the field.

In the middle, a small flame was burning.

"And two face-downs should be enough"

Two cards appeared behind Blaze Core

"Now, show me what you got, officer" The last part almost seemed like a taunt when he said it as Regulus ended his turn.

"That's Officer Cortez to you, you scum. I start by activating Speed spell- Cold wave which means we both cant use spell or traps until my next turn at the cost of one speed counter. I then special summon Gilasaurus in attack mode." Ana said as a dinosaur appeared next to her. I then set one monster in face-down defense position. I lay two face-downs and I'll have Gilasaurus attack Wise- core." Ana Lucia said as her monster ran over to his side of the field to bite down on Blaze core. If the attack went through.

"My turn! Draw!" Trixie declared as they changed tunnels. (SPC: 2)

"I Normal Summon Genex Undine from my hand!"

A blue robot girl with a water theme popped out of a blue portal. (1200 ATK)

"Now I will activate her effect, sending Fishborg Gunner from my Deck to add Genex Controller to my hand!

Genex Undine created a blue portal, and a two cards shot out. One went into Trixie's hand, while the other entered her Graveyard.

"Now I can activate the effect of my Gunner, Special Summoning him from my Graveyard by discarding a card!"

Another blue portal opened up, and a robot with a fish in it washed out. (100 ATK)

"But I'm not done, because the card I discarded can come onto the field!"

 

 

A beautiful silver angel descended from a ring of light. (2700 ATK)

Trixie shifted gears, causing her Gunner to get destroyed and a strange robot to appear in its place. (1100 ATK)

After the standard Synchro Summoning sequence, an upgraded version of Undine was flying next to Trixie. (2300 ATK)

Regulus grinned as Blaze Core exploded and covered what would be his monster card zones with flames for a few seconds.

 

"Due to Blaze Core´s effect, I can summon these" He said as five monsters appeared on the field in a amber light.

"They´re known as Blazel Top, Blazel Guard, Blazel Attack, Blazel Carrier and Machine Emperor Blazel Infinity!"

The five monsters reshaped, joined together, and were once five scattered pieces had been, there now stood a monster that crudely resembled a purely mechanized and slightly darker version of Scar-Red Nova Dragon, but without a tail and a infinity sign on the chest that glowed amber.

Ana looked at the machine emperor with fear. For once in her life she was scared at the thoguht of losing. She studied her field and her options. I'm not going to lose. Believe in your self Ana. she thought to herself. "Okay I summon Cyber-Tech alligator(2500) by sacrificing my Gilasaurus. I then activate Speed spell- Burden of the mighty. Which means your monster loses 100 attack points times it's own level. I then end my turn. Good Ana that should hold him off for a bit considering that it is a continous speed spell. She wondered if he had a counter but probabley not considering she already ended her turn. She worried herself not to get her hopes up. This guy could still very much win.

"This is so tiresome!" Faze said after a while. She then left the building. Regulus left, so why couldn't she? She summoned her D-Wheel and then began driving off. She hadn't used her Machine Emperor in quite a while, in fact, she hadn't used it before. So she had to use it on someone.

 

Protheus, meanwhile, simply watched this reunion unnoticed. He had decided if he was going to continue this plan, he needed Itsu's amulet. But he should wait for the correct moment, which was definitely not now. He could catch another time. But in the meantime, he sensed a Machine Emperor being summoned, this one being extremely hot, which means it was a FIRE attribute monster, but he didn't tell the others. But then he just remembered something. The Overmind, stolen from Sayer a few seconds after he was defeated, Skybound Immortal Drakkiyel Chiri, stolen seconds shortly after Oyuki was defeated, and Earthbound Immortal Akribis Thanatos, brother to Earthbound Immortal Scar-Red Nova, and gifted to Protheus by the Master...........all three of those cards all lost their power and became blank cards during the Paradox Wars. But what about that other Protheus? He still has them, and at full power. If he could steal them.....He would consider more of it later.

Duke was growing slightly annoyed by the odd lights and flashes occuring across the city, he knew Yliaster had the answers, and he was very well hoping to learn them. With a final glance to his statues, he returned to his desk made of mahogany....mahogony. Underneatht he desk was a conveniantly placed button will caused a section of the desk to move away and reveal a screen used to communicate. He punhed in the numbers to access one of the commanders to learn the answer. He waited patiently for a responce.

Desna watched Trixie and Vicky lead the potential intruders away, then turned back to his crew.

"Alright, people! Let's get moving! I want Sweet 16 in the Ameratasu repair bays yesterday!"

Bun-Bun started moving again, dragging the fallen Duelephant with it. Desna relocated to Bun-Bun's bridge, and Itsu followed.

"Will Vicky and Trixie be alright?"

"Of course. Besides, I deployed a probe to watch over them."

Desna pulled up a screen that showed the duel from the point of view of a flying camera.

Regulus was laughing close to manically.

"Good move, but since all my monsters are lvl 1, Blazel only loses 400 ATK points total"

 

He had felt her fear the very moment he summoned Blazel, and he loved it.

 

"I draw"

 

"I lay two more cards face-down and end my turn"

 

He smiled as the after effects of his over boost seemed to wear of and his D-wheel accelerated back to its normal speed.

 

Ana had managed to keep him in check for this long, but when Cold Wave wore of, she would feel the full fury of not only Blazel but Regulus entire deck.

His smile was now turning into a grin when he thought about it as his D-wheel changed tunnel, it was years since anyone even was close of accomplishing the feat Ana had, this duel had actually been exciting thanks to that.
