Itsu squinted at Pandora starting to duel Faze. "Yep, and I'm so proud of her! She apparently made the whole 'Steel Rose' thing possible, you know. She went back in time, altered a few events so this place would be built, and moved all of these people in here during the invasion. Even better, this place is specially designed to act as an amplifier to my amulet, so I could feasibly move this entire city through space and time!" Itsu saw Ruby crying, and decided to cheer her up. "Well, let's see how strong you are! Want to duel me? I'll go easy on you, I promise!" Itsu told Ruby with a combination of a reassuring motherly tone and an energetic, positive disposition of life.

 

Pandora shook her head. "I am afraid I must insist that you be the one to start us off."

Faze blinked, and then sighed., "Fine, fine.....I'll draw." And she drew her card. "I summon Illume Core." And then she took a card from her hand and summoned it. Just then, a silver metallic egg with an infinity symbol appeared. "Now I activate Double Summon, and with that I summon Chaos Hero Ilidan!" And then a demon appeared. He had fanged gauntlets and hair that looked like it wasn't taken care of in a thousand years. He also had blue skin and was wearing a blindfold. He was also muscular, and wore an onyx tunic and trousers. "And with its effect, I shall select one light card on the field, and that card cannot be targeted by an attack! Go go go Attack Barrier on Illume Core!" Ilidan pointed his hand at Illume Core, before a blast (Like a Kamehameha) came from it, and then the blast covered Illume Core, protecting it from harm. "I set a card, and like, end my turn!"

Giannina cursed as she waited from an update from her subordinates. She was just about to check on them personally when she received a summons from the Supreme Leader of Yliaster, a being that has been directing Yliaster's goals for centuries. She opened up a portal to a place similar to the throne room, but this place had a giant floating dais with a large, infinity-shaped golden ring on it. Chained to the ring was a figure clad in white robes, its face obscured.

"You summoned me, Your Excellency?" Giannina asked as she bowed before her master.

Cesar was sitting on a throne in the center of a room. He was, as usually, smoking, and was watching Faze's duel on a big screen in front of him.

"She better not mess this up..." He blowed out a cloud of smoke. "But who am I to give orders?" He chuckled and then threw what remained of the cigarette to the floor, but before it landed it simply disappeared out of thin air.

"This world's going to hell..."

Cesar's view of Faze's Duel, however, was interrupted when the screen switched to show a Machine Emperor tablet rocketing through space, shooting around the moon, and looping twice around the Earth before generating a boson cloud and crash landing in the desert at roughly three in the morning, local time. The angle of Cesar's screen changed once more, revealing a large stone card, Machine Emperor Shadel Infinity, taking the appearance of a human skull, albeit sans jaw and with an infinity shape circling the eyes. The latitude and longitude of the card's location, somewhere in the Australian outback, by the looks of it, flashed onto the screen for three seconds before returning Cesar to the Duel.

"Hm..?" Cesar watched the spectacle taking place on his screen and then sighed. "It's not my tablet. Wy would I care about it?"

Cesar then kept watching the duel as he thought about how he was probably now the last of the Yliaster members to get his Infinity monster.

"My deck is too weak to duel without it, I must wait for it to..."

The screen changed again to show another tablet on course for Earth. For the first time since he joined Yliaster Cesar smiled, but it was not your nice guy smile. This was a smile that contained evil and hatred. He watched as the tablet was on course to a place on the other side of the world, and it then landed straight into the middle of the Mexican Gulf, causing great tzunami waves around it. Cesar didn't care about the waves, but he stopped smiling.

"Of course it had to land in the sea. Well, time to go swimming!" He now stood up, lit a new cigarette and staretd to walk outside the room, once again smiling.

As soon as Shadel's tablet entered Earth's atmosphere, Rayos doubled over in agony in his house, formerly Crow Hogan's base. His mechanical hand slammed shut with enough force to shatter the titanium wrench in his hand like it was made of dirt and he managed to back away from Ruby's Duel Runner, his birthday present to her as soon as he finished building it, before the pain had him collapsed on the floor in the fetal position, his hands held against his head, as if he were trying to keep something inside, though he was using enough force in his metal arm to punch through a bronze statue like it was paper. As the tablet orbited the Earth, his agony reached a crescendo and an inhuman sounding scream, agony and murderous hatred in equal measure, came from his throat, loud enough and rough enough to shred the vocal cords of any normal human. Then, the instant that the tablet crashed in Australia, the pain ceased, though Rayos was still collapsed over in shock. After having been obliterated numerous times during the Paradox War, this was the first time he'd ever felt pain. He touched his fingertips to his lips and, when he pulled them away, they were red. The first time he's ever bled. "What am I..." The one question that had plagued Rayos for the entirety of his existence. His true identity and how he awoke on a street in New Domino with no memory seemed inconsequential as soon as he met AKI, and, even after her death, he never once uttered those questions again, but he never could cope with knowing that he was inhuman but not being able to be any more specific. Each time he died and revived, each time he walked away unscathed from a more minor wound, that was always the first question on his mind, the only exception being when he walked away unharmed from the blaze that claimed the life of Shinigami sensei. No, that time the only question was "Why me?"

Cesar returned to the Yliaster HQ, his hair soaking wet from returning his tablet, but he didn't mind. He know possessed the power of a Machine Emperor, and it would be enough to make this world go to hell. He was still wondering about the other tablet that he had seen, however, and as he sat there on his throne, with all the other emperors and empresses minding their own business, he started to think.

"Wait a minute." Something wasn't right. "We're short one member, it appears. Well... Maybe I should go get that tablet for myself then..." He smirked, and then did the...

 

~GO GO WORMHOLE POWERS!~

 

A moment later, in the outbacks of Australia.

"Well look at that!" Cesar looked at Shadel's tablet. "My deck will be even stronger with this one in my deck!"

However, at the moment he touched it he saw something before his eyes. A boy, lonely, at a D-Wheel, in a house in Neo Domino.

"Mehehe!" He touched the stone again and it disappeared, warped to the location of the HQ. "Time to pay a visit to Neo Domino then..."

Rayos, by now, had somehow managed to make his way to the couch that was his bed, allocating the only bedroom in his 'home' to his 'sister' Ruby. While the actual agony had passed by him, he was still shivering from its echo. He tried to pry open Ruby's bottle of acetaminophen that she used whenever her Spirits got the best of her but his shaking metal hand crushed the bottle like paper, leaving him to wait out the painful echo of his mysterious agony. If I could get passed AKI's death, I can get past this. He thought, steeling his resolve as his hands stopped shaking and his vision cleared. This mysterious surge of unspeakable agony was absolutely no match for having to watch the woman he loved more than everything in the universe die before he admitted his feelings towards her. That was a pain that Rayos carried with him every day, undiluted by time. If he could live with himself after letting his soul mate die without having fallen in love, he could live through this. Already, that thought had built up his mental defenses, walling away whatever it was that hurt him so and set about getting the blood cleaned off him. He had to go into Ruby's room for a mirror, having detested them, and his own reflection, after allowing both AKI and Shinigami sensei to die before his eyes. He took the girl's small mirror to his sink and started wiping off the blood, surprised at how easy it came off. It wasn't just coming from his nose and mouth, but also his eyes and ears, giving the apparent sixteen year old a grisly look, especially given his massive metal hand. All in all, it only took him five minutes to get all the blood cleaned off his face and clothes, with the floor and couch being conspicuously clean.

[Ace Daimon]

Giannina appeared behind Rayos, smiling as she leaned against the doorway of his bathroom.

"Hello, Rayos. I am Giannina, leader of the UN forces in this city, and I have an offer for you. You see, we are planning on a little expedition into Itsu's past, back when Itsu was two separate entities, Yuki Fudo and AKI 24-18-7, and we would like your presence on this journey. If we alter the timeline correctly, you could have your precious AKI back again. Even better, you can have the ONLY AKI left!"

Several UN soldiers burst in and dragged a familiar, albeit unconscious, pink-haired robotic angel.

"This is the Aki from the Fusion of Worlds timeline. You can either have her, or you can have the original from this timeline. Your choice."

Faze frowned for a bit. "You don't wanna.....?" She asked. She sniffled a bit before deactivating her Duel Disk. "Delayed enough, time, I think I'm your friend, later!" And then her monsters and face-downs disappeared as she turned and jumped into the wall, where she then instantly fazed into and then disappeared.

 

Protheus stopped his meditating instantly. Something else, something familiar whose aura has already changed. Someone from the past. That. That meant something. He stood up. Yliaster, a thousand years ago around ten years in the future, they had never planned this, whatever 'this' was. Something was wrong, too wrong, and something that may prove to be beyond his new-found power. Would he have to once again fight side-by-side with that amalgamic woman? Would he have to bring his son into this? He could wait another universal week. His son was almost reborn after that plane crash. It was nearing time to pick him up. One more week, he told himself. And then he went out of the cave, and flew straight to the top of the ocean and busted into the sky. This was going to be troublesome. And it was all happening so suddenly.

Cesar was just about to open the door to Rayos' place when he felt a disturbance, as if the planet itself was screaming in terror a greater power didn't want him to enter the house. He did as his instincts said and sneaked around and peaked into a window, but the room was empty. However, he heard voices and used his WORMHOLE POWERS to get into the empty room, looking around. The voices were getting louder and clearer, and there was apparently more then one more person inside the house, other then Cesar and Rayos.

Rayos pulled out the small bag he kept on a cord around his neck and pulled out AKI's CPU, "This is the essence of the AKI that I know and love." He told Giannina, replacing the CPU and tucking it back in his shirt, "I don't need your help getting my AKI back. I don't need to murder all of his sisters. I don't need to sell my soul. All I need to do is wait for Itsu to return. She promised me she would rebuild AKI, just as I remember her." He held up his Duel Gauntlet and closed his hands into a fist, "Now, I really don't feel like Dueling to settle my problems, though ripping you to shreds as Shadow Slayer does have a certain appeal to me, so I'm just going to give you this choice." His orange eyes narrowed as he closed the gap between himself and Giannina and gripped her throat with his Gauntlet, "Leave, or I'm going to kill you."

 

((Aesir, you can come in and get Giannina out of harms way and forcefully activate Rayos' Duel Gauntlet))

((Cesar was watching the conversation from behind a wall, unnoticed. FYI.))

 

Cesar saw his chance, at the speed of light he drew his sword, hacked it into Rayos' Gauntlet and did a swing so that Rayos dropped Giannina, and the sword also left a small scar in the Gauntlet.

"Sorry if I'm late to intorduce myself." As he spoke he pulled a cigarette out of his pocket, put it in his mouth and tried to get his lighter to start. "My name is Cesar. Why won't this damn thing wo- Oh!" A small flame appeared on the lighter and Cesar calmly lit his cig. He blew in and then moved then placed the cancer stick between his index and long finger and pulled it away, blowing out a cloud of smoke. "Anyway. I'm here to get you" He nodded at Rayos, not even looking at Giannina. "And don't tell me that crap about not wanting to duel, because I'm going to force you."

 

((I apologize in advance if you see the first part of this post as godmodding, but hopefully not. I'll let you have Rayos say something like "NO WAI! IAM NUT GOIN TO DULE YOO!" before his Gauntlet forcefully activates =3))

Giannina got back on her feet. However, her robes were ripped, revealing the cybernetic armor underneath. She glanced at Aki, who was now rebooting. As Aki looked up at Rayos, Giannina drew her sword.

"Rayos! I-" Aki started when Giannina stabbed the robot through her chest, puncturing her CPU. Aki remained paused with a look of pain on her face, then slumped over, dead.

"Pity you two forced my hand." Giannina muttered as she ripped through Aki's chestplate to reveal her chest cavity. The cyborg removed Aki's damaged CPU, then crushed it into pieces.

"Here, Rayos. You can insert your Aki's CPU into this Aki, solving your problem and allowing you to be reunited with your beloved. How does that sound?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"All at the low low price of my immortal soul?" Rayos asked, the infinitesimally small cut in his Gauntlet repairing itself, "My immortal body kinda needs my immortal soul, so I'll have to decline." The immortal 16 year old 18 year old told Giannina, "I love AKI more than anything, but I will not sell my soul to get her back. I don't want to have to sacrifice her Rayos so I can get my AKI. That wouldn't be fair to my AKI." The immortal then reached out and yanked Cesar's cigarette out of his mouth and crushed it, "No smoking in my house." He said, his smoldering to the point where Cesar could have literally lit another cigarette off it, "Now, get out of my house before I rip your throats out." He commanded, his flesh hand freezing solid.

Cesar looked at the boy with shock in his face.

"It's so sad..." Cesar's expression of surprise soon turned into a malicious grin. "But I cannot allow you to decline!"

He threw the uppermost layer of his robes aside, revealing a Duel Coat underneath. At the same time, the place where the scar had been located on Rayos' Gauntlet started to glow, and the Duel Gauntlet was automtically activated.

[Ace Daimon]

Giannina frowned as she replied. "I never asked for your soul! I simply wanted you to assist us by altering the past! You can find out your beloved's backstory, and change it for the better! That's all we ask for!" She secretly placed her Dueling circuits on standby in case the negotiations went completely sour, waiting for Rayos' confirmation. "I am offering you a shot at getting your beloved Aki back by placing her CPU in this body! In fact, I will even let you have her for free! You may come with us if you wish, but there is no obligation for you to join us in the past! You can have what you always wanted right now, and be reunited with your one true love at long last!"

And then a flash of light went through Protheus. He saw visions. The chaos worsening. He collapsed to his knees and ended up falling back into the ocean. She drifted there, as visions continue, and clenched his fist. He hit the floor of the ocean after an hour or so, and stayed there. Chaos that was not even started by him was starting. How was Yliaster able to do things like this? He had overpowered Yliaster in the mainstream before the madman Paradox came and appeared. What changed their strength so vastly within the Paradox Wars? It was strange. Too strange.

 

He decided to attack Yliaster head-on. Last time he had his army, but he had just obliterated it. He regretted that decision now.

 

Then, another flash.

 

A green-haired girl.

 

How odd.

Rayos smirked as his Duel Gauntlet activated and closed his eyes, a mysterious smoke billowing out of him like a cloud of tangible death hanging around him, every Ylliaster Agent he's killed, and countless of Paradox's soldiers, being represented. "During the Paradox War," He explained, still not opening his eyes as the tendrils of death crept around the former base of the Fifth Signer, "I was forced to kill Paradox's henchmen to save my own life, an act that I will never forgive myself for for the rest of my endless life. But a part of me, deep in the back of my mind, relished as I watched the life drain from them, a split persona brought on by the hardships I've endured, or the cause of my immortality, I don't know. But, after having killed your soldiers time and again, I began to learn how to call the monster out. You see, Giannina, I know about time travel. You just murdered the love of my life before my very eyes. And I'm going to kill you now, and I'm going to take her CPU, and I'm going to wait. I'm going to restore my AKI with Itsu's help, and then I'm going to fight you, in the past, in the future, I don't care, but I'm going to crush Yliaster, and, if I don't change AKI's fate, then I'm going to use her other CPU to revive her. But I can't do that if you two are alive, so I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to call out the monster in my soul so he can murder you." Rayos opened his eyes, revealing that the DARK Attribute symbol replaced his orange pupils, while his slcera turned ebony black. "It's my turn, prepare to die." Rayos told his adversaries, drawing six cards, "I Summon Evil Hero Black Onyx and set three cards face down."
