Protheus thought for a bit. He scratched his head and thought for a while.

Becoming a God myself?.......No, that's not my goal. That was never my goal. I can always change goals though....another millennium, huh? Perhaps......

"With all due respect, for now, I shall decline this offer. Perhaps some other possible time. Right now, despite my seven thousand years of lives, I feel I am just not ready yet."

The woman finally sighed. "I'm Delilah Atlas!"

Trixie pulled up to the duo. "DJ! Delilah! I heard you two were captured! How did you escape?!?"

"Well, I was being transported...somewhere...when we hit a mine or an explosive in the road, which killed my guards but allowed me to get free. I finally salvaged the key from the wreckage, and got out, so here I am."

DJ looked happy to see both Delilah and Trixie. He took a deep breath knowing this might take some time. He then turned to Trixie. " Well Trixie I was captured by the machine emperor lackies and taken to Prison after Iggy was shot down by the same guys. Me being a major export of weapons was a target because I had some many connections. A girl named Ruby from another dimension lost her crystal beasts. Her's joined with mine and now we are going to Ameratasu to return what I accidently took." DJ said to Trixie.

Trixie nodded. "Alright. Enough chit-chat. Let's go."

Trixie hopped back on her bike, while Delilah grabbed DJ and they got on the back. The trio sped back into the tunnels, and after several minutes of driving, sped through the gate, which promptly shut behind them. They got off inside of Ameratasu where things were picking up again.

"Itsu?" Delilah noticed her sister-in-law. "Itsu!" Delilah ran over to the cyborg and hugged her. "It's been so long!" Meanwhile, Trixie went off to go find Vicky.

As soon as Ruby was in sight, all the Crystal Beasts, and Rainbow Dragon, who had somehow managed to sneak by unnoticed, despite the fact that he was as tall as a Skyscraper in Hero City, immediately vanished and returned to the portion of her soul that was cordoned off specifically for them, though the barrier between the Crystal Beast area and the Neo Spacian area was more suited for an imminent nuclear attack than anything.

 

"If that smooth talking bastard goes anywhere near my wife again, I'm going to kill him..." Topaz muttered to the group as they walked down the hallway leading to the six soul rooms shared between the eight of them. As he spoke, spikes slowly started growing from behind his paws.

 

"Topaz, honey, you've got nothing to be jealous of," Amy reassured him, "Just calm down, you're starting to Advance."

 

Ruby, meanwhile, jolted awake fast enough to get a minor case of whiplash, and immediately hugged DJ, though only non-Anderson she ever met with Crystal Beasts, and the only person with just under half as many Spirit Partners as she had, though, admittedly, her namesake was also guiding her from her subconscious, Carbuncle's way of showing appreciation for DJ introducing her to her counterpart, while also staying near Amy and Topaz to prevent a fight from breaking out.

Itsu hugged Delilah back. "It's so good to see you too!" Pandora started directing people just in case Protheus came back and she then coordinated the recent arrivals to their places.

 

Desna waited patiently, until he was ignored, and then decided to walk around until he saw a

limousine, and noticed who it was as he walked over to it. "Duke, you old b*****d, get your ass out of your fancy car!"

Protheus began tapping his foot, waiting this futuristic God to reply to his refusal. "So? Are you going to teleport me out or am I supposed to faze out?"

 

Meanwhile, Faze was still on her D-Wheel, searching. She had looked up to check for a base in the sky, but there wasn't any. She looked around for a suspicious building in plain sight, but there still wasn't any. Where, oh where could their base be? She thought. She then drove onto the main road, and when there was a sewer hole, she jumped off her D-Wheel, it vanishing in the process, and went into the sewer. She then began searching around in the sewer, for some reason the water not making her wet, but it didn't save her from the smell. "Ugh, it's so smelly here!"

[The Warden]

Duke smiled at the crass sign of freidship, but he let it pass. 'It is nice to see you again desna, it has been a while since I've been here. Truth be told that I don't like bothering the Steel Rose, but some questions have begun arising amongst my staff, as well as with me. I would like to begin with the flash of green light that appeared in the city several hours ago. and secondly, whilst at a dig site with a pair of the Yliaster, I heard them mention the word 'tablet', is there any significance behind that?' he inquired.

Desna pulled out a lollipop, unwrapped it, then placed it in his mouth. "Mmm...coconut." He then remembered the task at hand. "The green light was Itsu. Remember Itsu? Itsu Solace? The one we've been waiting on for months now? She's here, and she's the reason why Yliatser has their pants all tied up. As for a tablet, no idea."

 

ZONE sighed. "If you must, leave, but do know that the next time you appear before me, you will be on your last legs."

 

Several soldiers in UN attire appeared around Faze, surrounding her and preventing her from escaping. "Halt! You're under arrest for trespassing in a restricted area! If you come back with us and answer a few questions, we'll-"

Faze never found out what the Uno was going to do with her, because he suddenly cried out as a bullet shot through his chest. The other guards tried firing back into the darkness, but to no avail, and they went down within seconds of their leader.

Three black-suited soldiers with gas masks that had glowing red eyes appeared around Faze, two at her side and a leader who mimed for her to come with them.

[The Warden]

Duke's eyes brightened, it was THE Itsu Solace. 'I would like to meet Itsu, from what you have told me she has done a good deal for us all. So I would like to personally meet her, which I doubt you would deny such a request' he said, a broad grin on his face. The Steel Rose had constantly mentioned Itsu many times, Duke hearing parts of her greatness. It was exciting that she was actually here.

"I've been on my last legs thousands of times." He said as he disappeared away.

He then reappeared in a secret cave deep in the Atlantic ocean. This cave would never be discovered even if you give the world over nine thousand years. The cave was filled with raw diamonds and pearls, tossed around the place. It had air, but the thing was, there was no way in or out. That's the thing. He just sighed and began meditating, trying to figure out something wrong before he goes back to face Amaterasu again.

 

Faze just scratched her head. "Aww....but I guess wherever it is we're going is better than this place." She said happily, and skipped off with with the three black-suited soldiers.

"Huh?" Faze had to ask.

"Oh.......oh, right." She happens to get empty-minded.

"I hope wherever you're taking me is good." She muttered.

"Don't tell me it's a deeper part of the sewer."

DJ shocked by the sudden show of affection from a girl she has clearly never met before, he hugged back for a second and them held Ruby away from him for a minute. " So Im taking you must be Ruby." DJ asked her blushing from the hug a little. He looked the girl down. She was VERY pretty and the fact that she too also wielded and were friends with the crystal beasts scored her extra points.

 

Meanwhile Ana lucia saw what happened with the Ruby-DJ hug thing. " wow DJ is finally scoring points with a girl. I guess his hormones must be kicking in." Ana Muttered under her breath.

"Yes, I am." The hybrid replied, pulling herself away from the much older man and regaining her composure, "Ugh, though I believe it was Carbuncle that just hugged you. She occasionally hijacks my body for some reason." She shook her head and sighed, "I guess she's grateful that there's another person in this universe that's like me... Or... Somewhat like me, I guess, since I'm assuming you're completely human, unlike me." The girl shrugged and looked away, embarrassed, OK, Carbuncle, we are going to have a talk next time you're out here. Not now, mind you, because I'm already hungover, but soon enough. She flashed her eyes upward at DJ and addressed the other occupants of her soul, Oh, and you guys need to calm down already. Panther, you were way out of line hitting on Amy like that, but Topaz, you overreacted when you split my soul in half and cut all ties with the Neo Spacians. Seriously, you guys are going to be stuck together for the rest of eternity. Think about it.

Ana Lucia looked at Ruby and DJ and walked over to them. " Okay since you two now have fianlly met I think it's time we all get down to buisness. I think Itsu might have a plan for us. Desna too." Ana Lucia said to them calmly. DJ turned to Ana Lucia nodding at her comment then his face turned serious, then he turned to Ruby once again. " Ruby do you have the slightest idea why we are here? I just came here to help you and to help Itsu with whatever I can." DJ asked her calmly. DJ needed to know where he was needed and also where he wasn't so he could stay ou of their way.

"Actually, truth be told I'm only here to scare Rayos." Ruby told DJ, "Despite the fact that we're posing as siblings in this reality, he thinks of himself as my dad. It's just frustrating. He keeps keeping tabs on me, so I sorta sneaked out of the house, and then I sorta engaged Yliaster with my Spirits after I saw that flash of light that turned out to just be Itsu, unfortunately." She sighed, and closed her eyes, trying to get the small army of Spirits living in her soul to shut up already, "OK," She said, not opening her eyes, "I have half a mind to track down my most recent relative in this dimension and figure out how in the name of all that is good and holy she manages to get these guys to calm down. Yes I'm talking to you... Ge... Will... Yubel, Neos, quiet the Neo Spacians down, Rainbow, Honest, you two make sure that the Crystal Beasts don't start a civil war... AGAIN." She opened her eyes again and flushed bright red as she realized that she was talking out loud. "Uh... I can kinda explain... Not really, actually, but I swear I'm not crazy, despite Kuriboh and Carbuncle's best efforts."

DJ looked at Ruby and smiled and laughed a bit. He was happy to see someone besides Luna and himself can actually see spirits. Yet DJ's and Ruby's situation is that they harbour their spirits in their own soul. The Ancient Gears don't talk that much Rainbow translates mostly what they say through beeping, booping and clanking. His crystals beasts are usually calm. Maybe because he wasn't in a whole different dimension like Ruby was. Thank you Lord for giving me crystal beasts that don't annoy the piss out of me. DJ thought. " DJ we want to annoy the piss out of you but since you had to rebuild Kaibacorp start off of nothing and have your best friend die in front of you we gave you some slack. Also because you don't 3/4 of the souls that Ruby has. She must be overwhelmed." Amy said appearing out of DJ's soul.

Topaz leaped out of nowhere and growled at DJ's Amy, "My, my, my..." He said, eying the cat, "Aren't you a seductive little thing you."

 

Ruby's Amy, however, landed next to Topaz and threw the tiger straight into Ruby, who didn't so much as flinch when the tiger was reabsorbed into her soul, with the cat soon following, "Ignites a war when i] try flirting, then he goes off and hits on a girl that's pretty much my sister. The NERVE." She growled before disappearing again.

 

Ruby swooned a little after the two felines were back inside her soul, "OK," She said aloud to her Spirits, evidently unable to separate thought from speech in her exhausted state, "That's it... All you guys are under house arrest... Yes, Kuriboh, I realize that you don't have a house... Yes, Carbuncle... OK, forget it. Everyone but Rainbow, Yubel, Neos, and Honest, go to your room." She sighed again and, once again, realized that she had been speaking out loud, "OK, I swear, I don't usually do that." She told DJ, "I'm just too exhausted and hungover to focus." She realized what she said and immediately started backpedaling, "Not that I drink or anything, it's just, well, I have a splitting headache, I'm woozy as all hell, and I'm probably going to be throwing up in a couple minutes."

Before Ruby's Amy left though DJ's Amy spoke saying, " Males. When you cheat on them they call homeland security yet when they get a little too excited they think they could roam all over God's creation." She said to her sister.

 

DJ watched this event take place and laughed again. Then he looked at Ruby again. " Im not laughing at you, just because the humor of the situation. Do you need some Aspirin 45,000? I have some with me. By the way when are going to do something about the machine emperors we are just sitting here talking and not out there doing something. Man this really chaps my Khakis." DJ said folding his arms. He was tired of sitting around. he looked at the gates surrounding them and resisted the urge to just leave.

 

Ana Lucia on the other hand thought it was best to stay with the group. Her battle with Regulus was too dangerous. She felt like now they would have advice before versing a machine emperor.

The soldiers finally escorted Faze to the gate, and they opened, only for Pandora, some more soldiers, and a few scantily-clad clown women with weapons that appeared to be equal parts goofy and deadly walked out, and cuffed Faze.

"Did you seriously believe we were going to just let you walk in here? When we heard that your own troops didn't recognize you, we decided to step in. Now, you're going to enjoy a nice long siesta in one of our maximum-security holding cells."

 

Desna sighed. "You know, she's right over there." He pointed his thumb over his shoulder for emphasis. "You can probably just go up to her and talk to her. She doesn't appear to be too busy."

Faze then blinked. "You mean you just like, walked out of nowhere, and revealed yourself to me? Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! I like, caught the uhh........oh, right. Sorry, I forgot I haven't unleashed my super special awesome powers on you yet and well.....yeah." She said sadly. "I can always do that now." She then just opened up her arms and the cuffs broke like string. She then began rubbing her wrists. "You know, it isn't nice to handcuff a person without any warning whatsoever. And with that cause, I shall like, destroy you or something. I don't think destroying is the right word. What was that right word again....? Gimme a moment." And she drifted off into her thoughts, trying to figure out the correct word.

More Clown Warriors appeared and prepared to either attack on Pandora's orders or defend their beloved princess. The soldiers also prepared themselves for combat. Pandora stepped forward, surprising both groups, and walked until she was a few feet away from Faze. "How about we just settle this the old-fashioned way?" She asked nicely as she activated her Duel Disk. The Clown Warriors started to protest until Pandora shot them a brief glance that said <I know what I'm doing. Just back me up.>, and the clown entourage stopped, and waited alongside their human counterparts.

Faze then found the correct word.

"Oh, that's right! It's 'assimilate', whatever that means. And huh? What did you say?"

She paused for a moment to remember. "Oh, right, right!" She then activated her Duel Disk. "Duels are fun! Fun, great fun! Play for fun! Illumal will assimilate you in the light of me! You go first! Duel!"

Both Ana Lucia and DJ saw Panora and Faze and saw them raise their duel disks. They both walked over to where the duel field was going to be. This kid fights with Clown warriors. Interesting. She must be a good duelist considering Itsu is her mother. Ana Lucia thought. DJ walked over to Itsu. " Hey Itsu long time no see. I heard that's your daughter over there." DJ said pointing at Pandora then turning back to Itsu he opened his mouth again saying, " Is that true?" DJ asked smiling at his old friend. Hopefully with Ana's resistance, DJ's company, Itsu's Steel Rose and anyone else's contribution Neo Domino might be restored to the way it was before.

"OK, DJ, remember this: I'm sixteen." Ruby said, "All of this stuff is massively outta my depth. I'm not strong enough to take down the Machine Emperors, I can't even take out one of them, let alone seven of them. I'm not going to be much good." She paused, sensing that she was getting off topic, and rewound her thoughts, "OK, all that stuff I just said aside, we don't even know where the Machine Emperor's are. It's hard to take the offensive when you have no idea where to offend, don't ya think?" The hybrid shrugged, "I'm not cut out for this world saving crap like you guys. I'm not strong enough." She closed her eyes and placed one hand on her side, between her ribcage and her waistline, and started shaking slightly, trying not to remember what happened to her because of Paradox.
