"I will be taking care of her from this point on." A gentle, feminine voice replied.

She had long, flowing silver hair, a silver and white MAGI bodysuit underneath an ornate, yet skimpy, silver and black kimono, and a purple and white Duel Disk shaped like the top of a circus tent. Her face was a porcelain white with silver facepaint and a small red clown nose over her own, yet the woman's face happened to faintly resemble Itsu's. In fact, where Itsu looked to be around 30, this newcomer appeared to be 20, which was the apparent age Itsu had during the Paaradox War.

"Pandora!"

Itsu ran over to the young woman and lovingly embraced her. Pandora hugged back.

"It's been a while, Mom."

"I missed you so much!"

"Yeah, that'd be the one." Topaz said, "Yukis and Andersons have never been known to get in trouble by halves, why should Anderson-Yuki's be any better?" The tiger leaped off Rainbow's back, batted away a decent sized artillery shell, and bounced back onto the long Dragon, "So, do you happen to know where exactly Ameterasu is? I could always ask the rest of Ruby's Spirits, but, well, Honest is exhausted after having to use his Effect so much when he was fighting with Neos, Neos and Yubel are probably doing things I can't mention with the kid around, Carbuncle's the only one of us that can understand a word Winged Kuriboh says, but, well, those two don't exactly get along." He let out an annoyed sigh, "And the Neo Spacians and I haven't spoken since I caught Dark Panther putting the moves on Amy. By the way, I don't care what the Hell they tell you, he started it, and I was well within my rights as a husband to kick his extraterrestrial ass. Which I did."

Ana Lucia was getting bored waiting for Itsu to answer her questions and decided to talk with Ruby. She seemed to be having a hard time like her. But Ruby was having Trouble wth her spirits. Ana didn't know if she had any. She walked over to Ruby. " I don't think we met yet. Im Ana Lucia." She said to ruby holding out her hand for her to shake.

" i think it is towards the south west of satelite. i think we should know considering it's a city within a city." DJ said pointing towards where he thought is Ameratasu.

"That's low enough." Protheus said after a while. He landed and then touched the ground. He was somewhere nobody was. He sensed DJ, Itsu, another Itsu, Damian, himself.....oh, that person from a few minutes ago. He looked around the place and then proceeded to intercept a member's weak mind. "Amaterasu. Along with Susanoo and Tsukuyomi, they are complete. But either way...." He looked around once more, this time scanning the appearance of the city. "Should I make myself known, or should I not?"

Carbuncle started meowing cutely and plopped down on DJ's shoulder, her tail wrapped around his neck like a scarf.

 

"Carbuncle asked if you knew what happened to this world's Andersons." Topaz translated as Carbuncle kept meowing, "She really wants to meet Jesse's descendants in this world, or are you one of them?" Carbuncle meowed some more and Topaz chuckled as the seventy-plus year old kitten started pawing playfully at DJ's hair, "She thinks you dyed your hair to cover up the classic Andersen blue, though she quite honestly can't believe anyone would do that."

DJ laughed started to pet Carbuncle on the head. " Im not an anderson sadly. Unfortantley the ancestor of Jesse Anderson in this timeline turned out to be a major @$$hole. He commited many crimes and abused the crystal beasts. he died and became a minor Dark signer. Who I as a sky signer easily defeated. I inherited my beasts after the ancestor became a dark signer. im first non- Anderson to have the crystal beasts actually." DJ said to carbuncle and Topaz.

Carbuncle sniffed DJ and gently whacked him on the head with the ruby on the tip of her tail, though it still hurt a little since he was, after all, getting hit on the head with a ruby attached to a mass of fluff before meowing cutely and hopping off DJ onto Rainbow's back and then padded up between the Dragon's eyes, where the two, somehow, began carrying on a conversation.

 

Topaz chuckled and gave Carbuncle a playful nip of her top left ear, "She says you pass." He translated, looking down below them, "And, we're officially on the outskirts of the Satellite, do you see anything that shouts 'Ameterasu this way'?" The tiger asked as Amy yawned and vanished, tapping her left front paw three times before she did, "Hey, Boss, you mind being the lookout for a few hours?"

 

"Topaz, Carbuncle really doesn't need a sibling." Sapphire muttered, despite the fact that Topaz had already vanished. The winged horse landed next to DJ and sighed, "Half the time he's complaining that he left that Amazoness Tiger he met when we were stuck in the Spirit world 70 freaking years ago, half the time he and Amy are completely unreachable." He sighed, "I'm..."

 

"Don't finish that sentence." Emerald piped up from halfway down Rainbow's back.

[Princess Judai]

"Wait, did you say Ameratasu?" A woman's voice asked.

A beautiful woman with long, flowing blonde hair that had red streaks in it, warm, hazel eyes, and a red and gold MAGI bodysuit walked up to DJ and the Crystal Beasts from behind a nearby building.

"I know how to get there. But it's a pretty long walk, so I hope you're ready for some exercise!" The woman cheerily told DJ. Her happy-go-lucky personality was very reminiscent of Itsu, but her accent was British like Damian's.

DJ turned to the woman. " Yes I would love for some directions. Do you mind heling us." DJ saidpolitley then he realized this woman was a MAGI and gasped. " Do you by any chance know Itsu? I need to find her and these eight beasts master Ruby." DJ informed her. Dj snesed the accent too. Man have i been out of the communication loop for long. I wonder what Itsu and her group is doing with the steel rose anyway. DJ thought to himself.

The MAGI chuckled. "Well, of course I would know Itsu! She's my sister-in-law!" The woman then looked at DJ. "Oh yes, I forgot. You do have a bit of a problem remembering people's names, don't you, DJ?"

 

Trixie had decided to head up to the surface to get some fresh air from being in the sewers. Vicky was going to wait for her, then the two of them would head to the Gates of Tsukuyomi. Trixie was thinking about how much she hated being underground, and how very few people knew she was, in fact, claustrophobic. That's why she preferred to work on the surface instead of in the tunnels. She decided that she was going to ask Pandora if she could enroll as a Blackbird when she saw a young man with a MAGI, and decided to head over.

DJ looked at the woman. She looked familiar yet he couldn't place her in his head. " hmmmmmmmm I think I remember you....... can you give me a hint?" DJ asked her. He wanted to remember. It's been a while since he has been in the action. He sorta rebuilt kaibacorp and sorta stopped there.

 

Ana lucia looked at Ruby waiting for her to answer. Man this girl must be really shooken up if she can't shake my hand. Ana thought to herself.

Suddenly, the air around Itsu and anyone around her became cold as an evil laugh filled the air. Then, Protheus appeared above them. He walked around, in the air as if he was walking on ground. He then looked down and saw Itsu and the others.

"I followed you here. Surprising. I never thought a city would reside here." He said, completely confident of his new powers. He then began walking down as if he was walking down invisible stairs and got to the ground. "I decided to take a visit. Surprised to see me here, perhaps? Maybe you should reconfigure your defenses to be able to detect ghosts. But anyway, let's get down to business, shall we? Now that I now know of your 'secret base', I can easily reveal it to your enemies, Yliaster, because I'm bored. But first, what say you idiots?"

Itsu and Desna were about to step forward, but Pandora blocked their advances, and went up to Protheus instead.

"Father, why do you do this? I thought you were our ally!"

 

Desna and Itsu were worried about this, and Itsu slowly raised her hand to her chest and placed two fingers on her amulet while Desna inched his arms back to draw a weapon from his bottomless tranchcoat.

"Ally? I was never an ally, you pathetic amalgam of people. Hell, I don't even know who you are. Besides, I only have one child, and he's in a completely different multiverse, I have absolutely no clue who you are." Protheus said. He then turned to Itsu. "Circumstances may have changed because of the Paradox Wars but those days are over. Long over. But seriously, Itsu....." He unsheathed his black sword and removed the mysterious red ribbon from it. "Did you honestly think I was ever the good guy?"

Itsu intervened. "What about all of the times we helped you?!? Desna, Pandora, and I broke our backs putting you back together, and this is how you repay us?!?"

Desna also took the stage. "Come on, Protheus! You used to be cool! I looked up to you! You were my role model, man!"

Pandora and Itsu were stunned.

"What? After one of his little fragments kicked my ass, I wanted to become stronger. That's the first time since my father that I've wanted to be better than someone."

"You know, you never told me about that part of your past..."

"Umm...uhh...I...never got around to it..."

"Would you tell Trixie?" Pandora smoothly asked.

Desna blushed. "Umm...why would I tell L-T Trudge?"

"Oh, come on! We all know how you act around her! You're lucky she's so occupied with her parents that she hasn't noticed yet!"

[Ace Daimon]

Vicky was tired of waiting for Trixie, and went on ahead. After dropping off what was left of Nikki and Cassie in Tsukuyomi, she proceeded into Ameratasu, where something was happening. Everyone seemed to either be looking at some giant ethereal guy, or running for their lives.

"Noah? Itsu? Pandora? Desna? Where is everybody?!?" She walked up to a girl standing nearby with some soldiers. "Hey! Small fry! What the heck is going on here?!?"

"How very charming." Protheus said sarcastically. "But after so many days, so many months, so many years, after having faced fates worse than death thousands of times....Now why shouldn't I just do what I do best and destroy every last one of you? Saizen may have held me back a long time. Sayer may have held me back a year later. Joshua, Leo, and some other person whose name escapes me may have held me back. And Paradox and mind-controlled Itsu may have held me back after that. And then THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS may have held me back even further. And I couldn't even succeed on my revenge. And now? I'm sick of that."

"I'm sorry, Protheus, but I can't allow you to do that."

Protheus had suddenly shifted to a white expanse with a strange mechanical bring shaped like a comma.

"Hello, Protheus. It has been a while, my son."

 

Itsu, Desna, Pandora, and many others were about to attack Protheus when he vanished into thin air. Pandora saw Vicky, and ran over, wondering why the Dark Signer was talking to a comatose girl with her eyes open.

"And th-....wait, what?"

Protheus looked around, confused. He then saw the mechanical being.

"Son? My father died shortly after I was born, and that was over six millennia ago."

He gave off an evil laugh and then continued.

"I wouldn't see why it's possible. My father was no more than a servant to Akhadenan's father, as I was to Akhadenan and his son."

"And who do you think gave you that initial spark of power? Like you did to Pandora Atlas, who is also my servant, I am your second father, and you are my heir. You have managed to tame those who seek to use me as a weapon to control and instill fear instead of an instrument to promote and instill knowledge, yet you refuse to show them the true path. Why do you rebel against me, my son? Why do you want to destroy the very thing that can save the human race from stagnation and corruption at the hands of greedy monstrosities that only care for the short-term gains instead of the long-term losses? Why do you seek to get vengeance against your allies and friends? Why do you choose to advance entropy instead of combat it like I do? And why do you deny the truth that I am one of your fathers?"

And the One Master, lord of the primordial darkness, knew that the time had come to end this world. But he's gone now, due to an unexpected event. Now, all I can do is share his point of view and destroy everything. You Gods always give the humans more chances. Horakhty gave them chances. Quatzelqoatl gave them chances. Even Odin gave them chances. There is no redemption. I refuse redemption!"

"The religions that mankind have created says that there is light, which is good, and darkness, which is bad. But that is not necessarily true. There is balance. Balance is good, but too much of one or the other is evil. You cannot have light without darkness, sin without virtue, black without white. The universe is full of contrasts, and it is my job to keep things balanced, as it is yours. Destroying humanity will prove nothing to anybody, except that humanity can be destroyed, which has already been proven many times over by someone with a similar goal: Paradox."

"My point is that you are at a crossroads. If you persist down this road that you want so badly to go down, then you are sealing your own fate, and the fate of those you command. I am not telling you that I will strike you down, which I am unable to, but you do have a weakness that you do not know of. An Achilles heel that only I am aware of, yet I cannot divulge. By the time you find this chink in your armor, it will be too late."

"However, if you choose to assist me, then humanity will be left to their own devices. I will teach you how to not only see all of our multiverse at the same time, but how to alter it as well. This power I will entrust to you, hoping you use it wisely. I will guide you through your first millennium, then leave you to govern this multiverse as I ascend."

"The choice is yours, my son. I will not dissuade you from what your heart desires, only lay out your options in front of you."

Protheus thought about this.

"And what if I say Yes?"

That was all he could say. This was truly a difficult choice.

"Let's say for one second that I accept, then what? I just watch over humanity and govern them until I'm succeeded, as you did?"

"Essentially, yes, but trust me, it will take you a while to get bored. It took me several dozen millennia for me to get tired. In fact, I tried a little bit of an experiment with a little boy named Paradox and a large explosion of Ener-D. Look how that turned out. Anyways, if you accept, you will take my place as master of this multiverse, and acquire all of the power that is endowed with the title. I will teach you how to use this power properly for a millennium, then let you free as I ascend to a higher plane. I have no idea what this entails, but it means that you will be in charge. Are you ready for this challenge?"

Duke didn't receieve an answer, so there was only one place to go for it. He hit a small button on his desk to activate an intercom. 'Maria, please get my car ready please' he said into it. There was a reply over the speaker and Duke rose form his desk, this would be quite a little adventure.

 

Only his maid/second chauffeur Maria knew of Duke's business ventures with the Steel Rose. the car he was in was different to his main car and the license plates were missing from it. The care stopped at the gates of Tsukuyomi, and Duke strode out of the car. 'I will call when I wish to be picked up' he said to Maria and she drove off. Normally Steel Rose members hve to participate in the virtual duels to enter, but as Duke didn't possess a chip nor was openly allied to them, a special measure was in place for him. Next to the terminal was a small slit in the wall. Duke removed a credit card from it and swiped downwards. A small number pad came out of the wall and he punched the pin in and the doors opened. he didn't say anything about the transaction he just made to the Steel Rose, he was used ot this by now as he made his way into Amaterasu.
