He simply took the back-stand place and used his Duel Disk on the combat platform attached to the top of the back stand. "I don't think you remember who I am, let alone know. Such surprises...ah!" He got shot by a bullet. It hurt a lot and all, and would have killed any ordinary person, but he was near immortal. "It's official, as soon as I die, I'm going to kill Paradox, kill myself, kill him again, kill myself again, kill him again, and so on, assuming reincarnation is just a joke."

 

Faze smiled a fair smile. Excluding the unaccounted reappearance of Itsu, of course, but that just makes things better. "All possibilities must be made equal." She muttered, just loud enough for some others to hear.

"Akiza dont you even hope to get out of here. I mean when we are in here all we have is hope." DJ says in a stern voice amazed at how Akiza the woman with the most hope here is finally defeated. He had to stay strong for all of them. " I mean maybe Itzu may come back for us. Jack and crow please dont give up we can all do this. Together maybe we can figure something out." DJ said to them all.

Desna looked at Itosuki for a few seconds, then drove off.

 

Akiza sighed. "There's a little thing you, DJ, along with Jack, Crow, and even Yusei never understood, and that is the status quo, the way things are in our favor. Right now, the status quo is against us, but not too much. However, we cannot shift the status quo to a position that is favorable, only make it worse for us. So, we need to wait until outside forces can shift the status quo for us inthe right direction, and try not to shift it ourselves in the wrong direction. Understand?"

 

Several Duel Runners managed to break off all but three of the Razorbacks from formation and started to fight them, leaving those three for Itsu, Desna, and Protheus.

"Just like old times, right, Desna?"

"The circumstances may be different, but this still feels like that tournament we went to while you were on 'vacation'."

They both laughed, then focused on the soldiers.

Sadly DJ looked at akiza and finally decided she was right. he sighed at how this looked. "Did you guys here about Iggy being shot down? Or were you guys here the whole time?' DJ asked them remembering his winged friend and his twilight deck. DJ thought about what would be the right time. h was angry about Iggy's death. he was a signer for a short time. he actually along with Damian saved him from dying.

 

"Now about this 'status quo' when will this chance of opportunity be?" He asked Akiza a again with a more stern voice.

"I'm not sure. And I apologize for being so cold, but Yliaster can use Carly's condition as leverage against us. The worse she gets, the more desperate we will become. All Damian and I can do is ease her pain, nothing more." Akiza knelt down and brushed the hair out of the now-sleeping Carly's face, tears forming as she heard Carly wheeze in her sleep, then cough. "And DJ, I don't like the way things are right now, but I know how the odds are stacked up against us, and there's nothing we can do."

Jack started at Damian angrily. Crow was now asleep, snoring a storm. Jack kicked Crow to wake him up. Jack saw how Carly's conditions were getting worse....... he also wanted to kick his son for talking to him like that.... but he had a better idea in mind.... first he walked up to Carly "Don't worry Carly..... things will be alright...." Jack stated before turning to the door, he tried to open it, it was locked. Crow walked up beside Jack, they both nodded at each other, then they both kicked the door at the same time. Failed, again. Failed, and again. Failed, then one more time with all they're strength, the door busted open and hit the other side of the hallway.

DJ looked at his aunt with compassion. Besides Damian and Jack, she is his only family member left alive. his mom and dad were killed in a dark signer duel. DJ was left in control of Kaibacorp which he knew like the back of his hand. "Akiza, maybe do you think i can hook up with the spirit world and see if there is any help there? Ancient Fairy dragon and the spirit of my shining dragon may offer some advice." DJ said mentioning a glimmer of hope.

Several cries along the sameline of "Shut up! I'm trying to sleep!" echoed through the hallway. Several of the floors above and below Jack and Crow were all part of a makeshift holding facility. Akiza's room was a few floors up, while Crow's was on the floor below. The Unos had decided to cut off the prison block of the building from the rest by rigging the elevators so that the normal elevators stopped at Floor 35, the floor below the start of the prison block. Then, you had to get on a special express elevator to go up to Floor 45, the floor above the prison block. From there, you could ride all the way up to Floor 72, the top. The prison block's elevators only went from 36 to 44, and the stairs, the only thing connecting the prison block to the rest of the building, were heavily guarded at Floors 35 and 45, probably even more so now that an escape attempt had occurred, making things difficult for Jack and Crow, who were on Floor 40.

DJ held his fingers to his mind trying to concentrate to get back to the world that he visited in his childhood. He felt dizzier and dizzier the more he concentrated but he kept on doing it. He sat down thinking harder and harder until his eyes went blank and he was in. he walked through the spirit forest. 'DJ you're not supposed to be here...." Cried the familiar voice of Ancient fairy dragon.

"I've never been a fan of Turbo duels....whatever." He said. "And I suppose I'm making the first move, so be it." He drew his cards, and simply looked at them. It's been a while. "Let's just say I summon this Dark One Quealathos in attack position (ATK 1800), and set two cards." Instantly, a snake appeared out of nowhere, it was like a viper, only bigger and black with green stripes, and as soon as that, two face-down cards floating appeared behind it. "I activate the effect of Dark One Quealathos, by sending a face-down card to the graveyard, I can special summon one level three monster from my deck." And so, a face-down card disappeared into the grave. "And the one I special summon is Dark One Aqualathos, in attack position (ATK 1000), a tuner by the way."

Another snake appeared, it was like Quealathos, but with blue stripes instead of green. "By darkness long twisted, by earth long ignored, wreak havoc on my command, whether you are useful or not! Synchro Summon! Dark One Zealathos! (ATK 2700)" The two snakes twisted against each other, and then squeezed each other, and then they both broke, but the bodies began twisting into another shape, another snake, only a lot bigger, and more blacker. And it hissed at the Razorbacks. "I activate it's effect. When there is a face-down card when it is Synchro summoned, I can inflict half it's attack to my opponent."

The enormous snake suddenly fired a black fireball from it's mouth, hitting Razorback 1 (-1350). "And now I activate the spell card in my hand, Undo Synchro Summon." Zealathos disappeared and Quealathos and Aqualathos reappeared. "And yes, I like annoying you. By darkness long twisted, by earth long ignored, wreak havoc on my command...again, whether you are useful or not! Synchro Summon! Dark One Zealathos!" And thus, Zealathos was summoned, again. "And now I activate it's effect! Again!" Zealathos again fired a black fireball from it's mouth, hitting Razorback 1, again(-1350). "I end."

Damian looked at Jack and rolled his eyes, yet not taking them off Carly.

"Stop bothering. It's only going to get you hurt." His relations with Jack seemed to be deterierating at an alarming rate. "I want freedom as much as the other 900-odd prisoners, but just ramming the door is only going to damage our bodies...your elderly one much more than mine."

There was a massive flash of Ener-D that showered the city repairing some buildings and making the prisons systems shut down only after every door in the complex had been opened. A massive hole could be seen for miles as a giant dragon came through it with a duel runner no one could notice. The dragon even before leaving the hole had begun to deteriorate so no one could make out what monster it was supposed to be. At the same time the rider landed and stopped his duel runner trying to figure out were he was. "What happened, where's ZONE!" The duelist looked at his duel disk and put in a few commands telling it the conditions of his hand, field, graveyard, and deck so he could continue this duel latter. "This almost looks like the satellite but that's impossible."

And while that Mysterious duelist appeared from a Hole in Spacetime, A violent duel had just ended at the edge of United nations Green zone. It was A trench like area, only that they were wider then ones could have been seen in WW1 and had curved metal plates above the surface to dodge Bullets and other Incomming threats. Within the mud, All slimy and wet from rain, was two UN duelists. They sunk slightly as there weight was displacing the soft mud. Standing above then was a Mysterious Boy, Duel disk retracting and his deck being sloted onto his Leather belt. Golden, Cat like eyes looked down without any emotion showing. Apon his neck layed a strange pendent, A silvery like Shard of Metal with even stranger Marking eched apon its surface of white and Black, Alit with a Creepy glow.

 

The creepyness continued as Helix's of light flowed like water from the Fallen duelists to that amulet, somehow becoming one with it. This lasted for several seconds, a vary of colours from red, silver and Green emmiting from them before the flow was cut off. With that the amulet seaced its Draining ability; the Boy swiftly making a exit to south of the city's Green zone.

DJ turned to her. "why is there trouble here as well?' DJ asked. He then looked at the trees and he saw that some of them had a a dark rook that seemed to be spreading up the trees. "Yes Yliaster is trying to destroy this world. Shining Dragon is very ill he's wanted to see you since you two lost eachother. But Im afraid i am going to have too send you away. if you stay to long yliaster might trap your soul like the Dark signers did back when the rose again." The dragon said sadly.

"Oh, sure, you guys just up and forget about me!" Ruby shouted, running after them, calling Topaz Tiger as she ran. The human/Spirit hybrid hopped onto the Crystal Beast and took off after the six of them, "Come on, someone give me something to do here!"

 

Rayos looked out what used to be Crow's window and sighed, "Ruby... What the Hell have I been telling you?" He sighed and shook his head, "I swear, Shinigami-sensei, this girl's gonna be the death of my. I don't know how you managed Nicko and West."

An armored knight appeared next to his Duel Runner.

"Now, I can Special Summon X-Saber Airbellum from my hand!"

A bestial warrior leapt from the rooftops and ran alongside the Razorback.

"Now I'll tune!"

Airbellum roared and became 3 rings, which Trident Warrior entered becoming 4 stars.

"Synchro Summon! X-Saber Urbellum!"

A warrior with a mask and several weapons appeared from the array. (2200 ATK)

"I set 2 face-down cards and end my turn."

 

"I draw, and I place a face-down card. Then, I end my turn."

 

"I draw, and I Normal Summon XX-Saber Boggart Knight!"

A creepy warrior was summoned next to the second Razorback. (1900 ATK)

"Now I will Special Summon X-Saber Palomuro due to my Knight's effect!"

A reptilian knight with a thin blade appeared from a portal. (200 ATK)

"I will now tune my monsters!"

Palomuro hissed, turning into a single ring, which Boggart entered, causing him to turn into 4 stars.

"Synchro Summon! X-Saber Wayne!"

A gunslinger appeared out of the array. (2100 ATK)

"Now I can Special Summon Command Knight in Defense Mode!"

An imposing knight raised her shield against her foes. (1900 DEF)

"I end my turn."

 

"My turn!" Itsu declared as she drew her card. "I remove Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my Deck from play to Special Summo Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

A dark portal appeared, and an armored Blue-Eyes erupted from it, flying protectively over Itsu and scaring the Razorbacks. (3000 ATK)

"I set two cards and end my turn."

 

"M-m-my t-turn! D-draw!" The final Razorback stuttered.

"I p-play XX-Saber G-Gardestrike f-from my h-hand!"

Another reptilian knight, this one larger and scarier, hissed at the Blue-Eyes. (2100 ATK)

"Now I will S-special S-summon XX-Saber F-Faultroll from my hand a-as well!"

A huge armored warrior with an even bigger sword stood stalwartly towards his foes. (2400 ATK)

"I s-set a c-card and e-end my t-turn!"

The hybrid said, "That being said, proceed with caution and tell me where you want my Spirits. And keep in mind that you're buying me a root beer and a bottle of Tylenol after this." She added, clipping her walkie talkie to her front pocket. "Yubel, some days I wish I was a Psychic Duelist." She told her Spirit, steadying her breathing "At least when they overexert themselves they can go see Dian Keto and get back to relative normal."

 

"You can always have Air Hummingbird heal you." Yubel suggested, shrugging and idly knocking away an anti-tank missle, "Ra almighty, what is wrong with these people?"

Jack thought about it for a while...... maybe it wasn't yet time to escape. So he walked to the other side of the hallway and picked the dented door up and backed up. when he was inside he tried to place the door as close to its original spot as possible. Crow was surprised about what he had just seen "Jack! What on earth are you doing!?" Crow asked while yelling before punching Jack in the face, knocking him out.

"And it's my turn again, draw." He paused for a moment to look at his cards.

"I normal summon Dark One Pyrolothos (1900 ATK), and it's a tuner. So....In the pitch darkness of the pitch night, as they slither on their belly forever, you fly like an eagle and destroy like a dragon! Come, wreak havoc, it's the night! Take flight again as the winged snake before your brother! Synchro Summon! Dark One Alphalothos!"

Instantly, a black viper with red stripes appeared, but then just as suddenly, it and Zealathos twisted against each other as hard as possible, and then squeezed each other as hard as possible, and then they both broke, but the bodies began twisting into another shape, another snake, only bigger, and more blacker (3500 ATK). And it hissed at the Razorbacks with a terrible sound.

"I activate it's effect. For every tuner monster in my graveyard, when it is Synchro summoned, I can inflict 800 points of damage to my opponent. And now say goodbye to Razorback Number One."

It fired something at Razorback 1, but it was invisible, so nobody could see it coming.

"Damn Desna..... He knows that there coming for me....." He looked around and saw, to his dismay that the Yliaster members that were tailing him were around him, swords drawn. "How many times do I need to tell you! I'm not joining your damn club!" Itosuki ran, creating holes in space wouldn't work anymore, they would follow him to the edge of the earth to have the goal of their boss completed. Just like he would. Itosuki gave a angered snarl, should he ask them for help directly? No, a true man would never do that, he would take this into his own hands. Grabbing his sword, he ducked into a alleyway, where he hoped to lose the Yliaster momentarily.

The first Razorback tried to flip up a Trap Card, but failed, and vanished from existence.

 

Jack woke up with Akiza staring him in the eye. "At least you tried to come back. Fortunately Crow managed to knock you out before he realized that you had come to your senses. Now, we need to talk about what we're going to do from here, especially about Carly. Could you please go get your son and bring him in here as well? And make sure it's just the three of us."

"One down, two to go, attack phase, Alphalothos, destroy X-Saber Wayne." Protheus said quietly.

Alphalothos flew above the Malefic Blue-Eyes, and fired some kind of dark laser at the gunslinger.

"Say bye."

 

Faze looked around, everything was so dull, and boring. She decided to wonder around a bit, she was waiting for a mission, but it seemed there were none at the moment, or the slots were full. But then again, there's no such thing as full. She went to get her D-Wheel and then began driving out of headquarters.

A metallic ball of slime with spikes in it floated next to his Duelhog. (3000 DEF)

"I'm only chaining my activation with your attack. I have no intent of negating our attack, just Summoning this. That cool?"

 

Meanwhile, the third Razorback flipped his Trap Card up. "Negate Attack!" A shimmering barrier protected their monsters. "Never leave home without this little number!"

"Effective but pointless. Too bad you can't negate my attack. Alphalathos is unaffected by any non-monster card effect." He said. Alphalathos's attack simply went past the shield like a ghost and destroyed the gunslinger X-Saber Wayne. (-1400)

"Surprising enough for you idiots? Yeah, I know. Turn end."

 

Faze was still riding on her D-Wheel. It was fast, but not built for going this fast. Well, she was almost there, anyway.

Since Razorback 1 was destroyed, the turn order went over to Desna. "I draw, and I Tribute my Metal Refect Slime to Normal Summon Launchpad Base in Defense Mode."

A rocket shot up from the lunchpad and went into space. Up there, it deployed into a very heavily-modified cannon. (500 ATK)
