Satellite District Demilitarized Zone

UNPF Neo Domino Area of Operations

1253 Local Time

June 10th, 2047

 

A green spark arced through the rubble. Then another small green spark, then another, until what used to be a lobby in an upscale hotel in Satellite was riddled with green motes of electricity that trned into lightning bolts, wich then formed a swirling sphere of green energy. This sphere then exploded, covering the lobby with light, eventually forming the outline of a female figure. The light receeded, allowing the woman to set foot on the dusty, shattered floor.

"Boy, it's good to be home!" Itsu proclaimed as she looked around. "But this can't be right. I know I was a little off, but I'm pretty sure I didn't land in the B.A.D., did I?" She walked out of the bombed-out hotel, then gasped at what she saw.

The hotel was located a block away from the coast of Satellite, near Daedalus Bridge, but, with the exception of the monument, the actual bridge network connecting Satellite with the mainland was destroyed, along with most of the buildings for miles. A duststorm was coming in from the east, and she could see the similarly-destroyed buildings across the Domino Channel, with naval ships patrolling the divide between the two, and the lights of military activity in the distance.

"No." She started to walk to the murky water. "No, no, no, no, no!" She ran to the edge, and continued to stare until she knelt down and started to cry. She then edged herself into a cave made of rubble and curled up into a ball, crying herself to sleep.

 

"Duelephant Number Nine, this is HQ, over." A scratchy, distorted voice asked over the radio.

"HQ, this is Bun-Bun. Package delivered. Requesting new orders." The voice of a bored young man in charge replied.

"Nine, we have reports of a surge of massive amounts of bosons in Sector Charlie-November-Seven-Three-Niner. We want you to investigate before the Unos can. Sixteen's also en route."

"Will do, HQ. Bun-Bun out."

"So, sir, orders?" A male voice asked.

"Northeast. We have a report of a possible break in the space-time continuum."

"Sir, the last time we went to go check for high amounts of boson emissions, it was just a small shower of very dense neutrinos."

"In other words, nothing." Another voice, this one female, added.

"Orders are orders. Now, get this hunk of scrap metal moving. I want us at the coordinates yesterday."

"Yes, sir!"

Ruby was walking down the street, trying to blot out some of her memories of the Paradox Wars when Itsu landed in Satellite. Is that... A C3 Agent? She thought, her heart skipping a beat, Are they here to fix this timeline? Is my timeline still intact? Can Rayos go back to his home timelime? She thought, excited. She drew a card from her deck and smiled, "Honest, take me to that hotel room." She said, playing her card, showing a bearded angel, though the angel that appeared was clean shaven without so much of a five o'clock shadow.

 

Honest, who had been ingrained in the souls of all Yuki's since Jaden partnered with him, smiled, "My, my, aren't we bossy today." He said wryly, picking up the teenage girl and flying up to where Itsu was.

 

"You shaved again." She mused, "You really shouldn't, you're supposed to match your card, didn't Grandpa Jaden ever tell you that?"

[Ace Daimon]

"Ma'am, we have reports of a massive burst of bosons on the northern coast of Satellite!"

"And?"

"A few sources confirm seeing a flash of green light."

"Hmm...Send a few Hatchets, two troop carriers and two vehicle carriers with Razorbacks, to the site. Take care of any Steel Rose forces that show up."

"Radar detects two Duelephants with attached Runner and Duelhog squads en route, along with a strange, bird-like flying signature that we still have yet to identify. Whatever this is, Steel Rose thinks this is big."

"Good. If it's Itsu Solace, take care of her. She must not be allowed to link up with any members of Steel Rose."

"Yes, ma'am!"

"Status report."

"Intel inside the Green Zone reports four Hatchets loading up Unos and Razorbacks and getting fuled for takeoff."

Hatchets were the UNPF's main battle vehicle. The cosmic offspring of a Blackhawk helicopter of a Harrier jumpjet, Hatchets were highly versatile VTOL gunships that could be easily be refitted for a variety of missions. They had a forward cockpit with a pilot and a co-pilot, two turret slots, one on each side behind the nose, two pivoting turbines, one each connecting a wing to the body of the craft, a heavy missile pod underneath each wing, a jet turbine on the back, and a torpedo bomber-esque tail. The three common variations were the factory model troop transport, with a troop bay in the back and a pair of Uno-manned gatling turrets, a supply craft with two automated gatling turrets and a series of magnetic clamps, and a heavy support version with six 90-mm heavy cannons where the bay would be that allowed for an almost 360-degree field of fire, heavier armor plating, and an extra pair of thrusters on the duel tail. With this customizability, the Hatchets easily lived up to their named, and chopped up Duel Runners in the process.

Razorbacks, on the other hand, were the designation for the Unos' mass-produced military Duel Runner. Dubbed this, interestingly enough, because of their bladed multi-wheels and sharp edges, Razorbacks were designed for patrolling rough landscapes, but were quickly refitted for use as Duel Runners as well. Sporting a 30-mm autocannon on either "wing", they can blast out any enemy tires, as well as the usual Duel Runner accomodations. They can also sport two sidecars with weapons pods equipped.

Both would spell trouble for Duelephant Number Nine, also called 'Bun-Bun' due to the psychopathic bunny rabbit wielding a switchblade proclaiming "Let's Rock, Uno-Boy!" on either side of the massive vehicle, and the Duel Runners that drove or rode with it.

"Prepare the turrets and get the boys in formation. We may be entering the OZ hot."

"Roger."

Ruby saw the UNPF forces heading towards what she assumed was a C3 Agent before she notice Bun-Bun, "Neos, Neo Spacians, I need your help." She said, causing seven of her Duel Spirits to appear, "Honest, I want you to help them. Drop me." She commanded, which the Fairy-type Monster obeyed, "Make sure that the UNPF don't get a shot at the Agent!" She said, Sapphire Pegasus appearing beneath her, "Hurry, I don't know how long I can have the eight of you out for." She said, which her Neo Spacians took as the signal to scatter and obstruct the Hatchet's gunners' lines of sight as much as possible. "Ugh, it woulda been easier.. To use Rainbow Dragon..." She muttered, "Too strong, though, Neos is even a bit of a risk for the Razorbacks..." She took slow, deep, even breaths, "At least that Monster did something good though, I was never able to call out more than two of you guys." The Duel Spirit hybrid said, stroking Sapphire Pegasus's mane, "Ugh, Rayos is gonna kill me when he sees them."

Bun-Bun stopped several yeards in front of Ruby, and several Steel Rose resistance fighters, complete with "confetti maker" .5-cal autoguns and hybrid Duel Disks, stepepd out, as if securing the area. A man also stepped down from the Duelephant's hatch, this onw wearing a three-piece suit with a black tie that had a giant red "R" on it. He wore polarized sunglasses, and white-blonde hair. He took off the sunglasses, revealing blood-red eyes, and looked at Ruby, seeming a bit mad.

"I really hope you weren't the one that caused those boson readings we just got." Desna told Ruby as he signaled for Bun-Bun to open fire on the Hatchets, which it, along with Sweet 16, did with great aplomb. "Because, if you did, you just got on the wrong side of me. And trust me, you really don't want to get on the wrong side of me."

"Bite me Desna." Ruby said, calling the Neo Spacians back to her soul, leaving just Neos and Honest to distract anything currently being shot at, "I'm still not sure what a boson is, but if it wasn't caused by those green lights, then yeah, that was probably me because you two were gonna start shooting each other and probably kill-slash-destroy who or whatever made those things." She held her head, "Ugh, I'm too young and gorgeous for this bull@#$%..." She told Desna, taking a bottle of ibuprofen out of her pocket. She shook three or four into her hand and downed them dry, "OK, so, let's see who checked in before this hangover gets any worse." She suggested, scooting forward so Desna could hop on Sapphire Pegasus.

Sweet 16 maneuvered to give Ruby and Desna cover as the troop carrier Hatchets got shot down, with only minimal damage to Sweet 16 and Bun-Bun. But, the Razorback-transporting Hatchets pulled away from their approach vector and behind the cover of some still-standing buildings.

"HQ, this is Desna. Where are those Hatchets going?"

"They appear to be en route to an LZ the Unos have used several times before to drop off troops. ETA 'til those Razorbacks get to your current position: 5 minutes."

"F**k! Any other Hatchets inbound?"

"Glad you asked. Six more Hatchets, four troop carriers and two vehicle transports, being fueled up in the Green Zone. ETA: 20 minutes."

"Well, we'd better find the source of those bosons before the Unos get-"

Something crawled out of a cave made from the rubble, and several fighters trained their confetti makers on them.

"Ugh...what's causing all that racket?" Itsu groggily asked before realizing that she had weapons pointed at her, and a familiar face standing nearby.

"Desna?"

"Itsu?"

"Itsu!" Ruby shouted, throwing herself off of Sapphire Pegasus and wrapping her arms around the cyborg "You're back! Finally! Does this mean that you're done fixing everything? Can Rayos go back to his home timeline? Did you manage to recreate my timeline?" She asked, firing off questions at a mile a second, before Yubel manifested herself and pulled her off, "Hey, put me down." She complained, "It's not every day I get to see the girl that saved me from an omnicidal maniac."

 

"Yes, but did you forget that Miss Solace got half a building dropped on her? I doubt one of your superhuman welcome hugs did any good for her servos, you probably dislocated a gasket or a rib or something."

 

"Well sor-ry for getting a little excited." Ruby told Yubel, "But come on, you're part of my soul, you know what Paradox did to us and was planning on doing to us. You can't blame me for missing the girl that saved me from him, can you?"

Protheus was calm as he started to slowly descend to the ground, but suddenly hit it with a thud. At first, he wasn't worried, but then he forgot he was weakened since the Master died. It hurt, a lot. Though he had faced worse, such as Paradox and Itsu blasting off 2/3 of his entire body and organs, but he would save that for later. He simply had to stare down to see Itsu, and Desna, AND Ruby. "Surprise, surprise." He muttered. He jumped down, unnoticed by the gunners, that's what he nicknamed them until he could find out their faction's name. He landed with another thud, still forgetting he's not as immortal as he used to be. It would take a while to get used to pain, but at least he was over 6000 years old, so he wouldn't squeal like any other person. "Surprise, surprise, surprise, and yet more surprises. Am I right, people?" He asked, not minding the guns pointed at him. Even though he could now feel pain, he was still immortal.

DJ was in his prison cell. Readying his deck for any challenger. He had to be strong. For neo domino and for the rest of the signers. He was still mourning over his friend Iggy. He was shot down when flying with his angel wings that the arcadia movement gave him. It was a chance of derangment. Iggy had gone insane and when trying to fly away he was shot down. DJ only barely managed to recover his body. "Izzy..... Damian.... why did you let this happen to us?' DJ said. His duel disk worked properly but DR- Alpha67 his new duel runner with crystals embedded was at his garage.

 

He remebered when he first met Damian he called nine-one-one for him when a duel runner crash happened. He met Izzy near a dark signer tower. When she was just AKI.

Jack was looking out the window of his "room" "Yusei...." he stated. Crow to was looking out the window of his "room" as well "Yusei...." he stated as well. "Yusei......" both Jack and Crow stated at the same time. Both Jack and Crow pulled out half of Yusei's deck "....." they both changed some of the cards from their decks. "You aren't gone forever....." Jack stated holding onto his deck, tightning the grip he had on it. "Part of your spirit is in your cards." Crow stated. Jack was through with staying in that room. He turned to the door which he put a ton of dents in while doing failed escape attempts. He walked up to it and kicked it. Failed. Then again. Failed. And then the third time, the door fell over! Crow heard a noise in the room next to him "Huh? Jack! Jack?! Jack is that you?!" he asked. Without an answer, Jack walked up to Crow's room door, he kicked it once. Crow heard a noise hit his door, he walked up to it in confusion. Jack kicked the door once again. Crow was getting even more confused with the dents in his door. Jack kicked the door a third time. The door fell over on top of Crow. "Ow." Crow stated, lying under the large metal door.

Several UN soldiers appeared in front of Jack and Crow, their guns traind on the two. The soldiers blocked the passageway, and there was no other way out.

 

"Well, this is one big happy reunion, isn't it?" Desna interrupted. "Just FYI, our position is about to be hammered by enemy forces!"

"Hold on, hold on. What happened here? What year is it? Where's Damian?"

"I promise, I will explain later, but right now, we've gotta fight off these idiots before they kick our collective asses!"

"Calm down, calm down. It's not like they can seriously hurt us."

Itsu suddenly had a large hole taken out of her midsection, and looked down to see the gaping puncture. Eight Razorbacks were heading straight for the two Duelepahnts, which opened fire on the motorcycles. Itsu concentrated, and the hole started shrink until it was healed. "Point taken. Let's send these SOBs back to their mothers' wombs!" She pressed her amulet, and a black and red Duel Runner that resembled Paradox's, but was sharper and more angular, appeared.

"Turbo Duel rules?" Itsu asked Desna, who had commandeered a Duelhog.

"You really think the guys that just shot at us use Turbo Dueling?"

"I had to ask." Itsu replied as she sped off towards the Razorbacks.

"Hey! Old man!" Desna called out to Protheus. "You wanna take the backstand? You can use your Duel Disk on the combat platform attached to the top of the backstand."

[Ace Daimon]

Giannina finished up her duties at the office she had in the penthouse suite of the Hotel Cipher, the current UN HQ that happened to double as the primary holding area for any political prisoners that Yliaster had under their custody. She then teleported to a strange room with nine chairs arranged in a figure-8. They were connected together by a figure-eight made out of motes of light above the thrones, and the room seemed to stretch for forever.

"So, it turns out that Itsu Solace, against our best wishes, has returned from her exile. She is our only link to our God, and therefore we need to either execute her, capture her amulet, which I have been told is irremovable, or capture her, and convert her like we have done with one of her closest friends. This is a critical time, as we are about to enact Operation Judas' Kiss, which will reveal the location of the Steel Rose base. We destroy that, we eliminate any opposition to our expansion of the Central Domino Green Zone, and severely cripple the morale of any other resistance in the Occupational Zone. Any suggestions?"

Crow had finally got from under the large metal door. Jack and Crow both had their Duel Disk strapped to their backs. Jack and Crow unstrapped them and placed them on their arms. "You'll have to duel us if you want us to return to our 'cells'." Jack stated. Crow drew five cards then his sixth "I summon Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind!" Crow declared "Now I special summon Blackwing - Bora the Spear! Now I tune my Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind with Blackwing - Bora the Spear! I synchro summon! Blackwing Armor Master!" [lvl 7 Synchro ATK: 2500] "I end my turn with two face-downs!" Crow stated "Your up.".

"This is Green Eye Six. We have confirmed liftoff of six Hatchets, vector towards Sector Charlie-November-Seven-Three-Niner. ETA: 10 minutes."

"Roger, Six. Anything else?"

"Green Eye" was the codename to a series of rotating platoon of scouts that watched the Green Zone for any activity. Six was positioned on top of what used to be Tops, now a bombed-out shell that was barely standing, but gave a good vantage point to one of the two airfields inside the Green Zone.

"We have a patrol group of borrowed Meshers en route."

"Meshers", known as "Yeying" or "Nightingale" in their native Chinese, are a unique series of attack helicopters that received their nickname from their two main rotors, each one at 45 degrees of horizontal and at a right angle to each other. Combined with an additional rotor on the tail, and the basic-model Mesher could maneuver much better than even the most heavily-customized Hatchet.

"Understood. Head back to Green Eye Base."

"Got it. Trixie out."

DJ hard the noise outside and wondered what was going on. he went to the window and was shocked too whom he saw. it was itsu. "Hey itsu!!!!" DJ said almost not remembering that he was 22 not a kid like he was the last time he saw her. He then tried calling to her again. DJ thought this was a chance to get out of this prison. He readied his deck and turned on his duel disk. I cant believe she is back.......... wow I cant beliveve that i thought I wouldnt see her again. DJ thought.

"Yubel, what do you think?" Ruby asked, turning to her demonic Spirit Partner, "Should I bring out the big guns?"

 

"I really wish you wouldn't refer to my true form and Rainbow Dragon as 'big guns' Miss Ruby." Yubel said, shaking her head, "But no, I don't think it would be wise. You're already psychically exhausted, the strain of Summoning out two Spirits as powerful as Rainbow Dragon and myself would probably put you into a coma."

 

"Well, since you're already out here, maybe you should go help out Neos instead of straining my subconscious mind." Ruby suggested, leaving Yubel at a loss for words. Defeated, the Duel Spirit flew off to run interference with Neos and Honest.

The guards just looked down at the two escapees that they were easily able to knock unconscious with rubber bullets. After checking to make sure they weren't injured, the guards hauled the duo back up to their holding areas.

 

When the two awoke, a pale, buxom, magenta-haired, golden-eyed cyborg in a slightly armored white and pink rubbery bodysuit with silver plugs was angrily staring at the middle-aged Signers. "You two tried to escape again, didn't you?" Aki hissed. "What is this, the seventeenth time since we were captured that you attempted to break out? You're lucky we're too valuable for them to break."

Suddenly a small seemingly transparent cut in space appeared nearby Desna, out came a silver haired scarred man with a insane grin apparent on his face. "So I heard a whole lot of stuff is going down and I'm not invited to the party?" Clearly as overjoyed and battle hungry as ever, Itosuki stood around the area, looking for chances to battle. He then saw a familiar face, Desna. "You Magnificent Bastard! You have a event this big and you don't ask over me! I'm hurt man! Hurt!" Suddenly a bullet came about one centimeter away from hitting Itosuki's face. "So! Got any plans for my position?"

"Actually it's about the nineteenth." Crow corrected her as he walked up to the fragile window, he looked out of it and saw that they were just one room away from their runners. Jack pushed crow out of the way and kicked the window open. He looked out of it and jumped out, before falling to his doom, he grabbed the railing and went in the direction of their runners, followed by Crow. "This time, we're free!" Crow declared as Jack jumped down and landed safely on his Duel Runner, he revved the engine loud and started his escape, followed by Crow.

Akiza snapped them out of their daydream. "You know, it's kinda fun messing with your heads." She then got serious. "But you need o stop this. Sooner or later, they will punish you for trying to break out. We're on the 52nd floor. The windows are bulletproof. Your Duel Runners are miles away in an impound lot on the opposite side of the Green Zone. The only thing we can do is wait it out and hope someone rescues us, or our requests for political asylum in various countries are accepted." She then looked Jack in the eyes. "Besides, who would take care of Carly while you're gone?"

Trixie cursed as she knocked over a garbage can near the wall dividing the Green Zone from the rest of the city. She knew she wasn't supposed to get this close, but it was the most direct route to Green Eye Base. She then looked up to see DJ Kaiba in one of the windows facing the wall, and waved to him before sinking back into the shadows.

 

Carly stepped into the room slowly, as if she wasn't at full strength. "Jack..." She hugged him as tight as she could, which was relatively loose, resting her head on his chest. "Please..." She then coughed and wheezed heavily. "Don't leave me..."

 

((I came up with the idea of Carly having lung problems due to breathing too much dust from the bombings.))

Damian hastily hurried into the room, following his mother. Seeing Carly coughing so, he quickly ran to her aid. He quickly took her out of his father's arms, gave him a scornful look for his lack of reaction, and then lay Carly down.

"M-Mother? Are you ok?! How...?!" His eyes were full of stress and tears of shock. He then looked up at Jack. "How can you just stand around like that?! HELP HER, FOR GOD'S SAKE!"

Carly coughed up more blood, and smiled weakly at Damian. "It's alright...(cough)...I'm fine..." She coughed up a bit more blood into the napkin Damian had with him.

 

Trixie finally arrived at Green Eye Base.

"You wanted me, sir?" She saluted to the on-base commander.

"The Leader wants you back in Ameratasu. Now."

"But sir, I'm the best scout in the entire organization! What could possibly be that important?"

"Itsu Solace might be back."

Trixie stood there, her mouth agape.

"Really?"

"Who do you think you're relaying that info to? Why do you think all of these Hatchets are lifting off now? I'm the lowest-possible rank to know this, so I'm letting you know. Now, get to Ameratasu ASAP!"

"Yes, sir!" Trixie smiled as she hopped on her Duel Runner and entered the tunnels to get to Satellite.
