They both used and improved a pre-existing device. That is why I said "If the Natal copies the PS2, than the playstation move is copying the Wii". Because they both are using something that HAS been done before and further creating them in their image.

 

It doesn't matter anyways. All the current gen consoles suck. None of them are better than systems before them (N64 > Wii, Computer > Xbox 360, PS2 > PS3)

 

By the way, I've played on all 3 consoles and I personaly think the Wii is the best one.

Honestly, you can't compare consoles in different generations. Standards and technology are always improving and hindsight does make things better (it may be 20/20 but it's also a little drunk as it were). There are always previous consoles that are worse (ie Xbox to 360, which you neglected to mention). Now out of the current gen, Nintendo can be called the best because they have made the most profit out of all three companies. Although a lot of their titles are gimicky, and good ones that are fun to play are few and far between. On the flip side, 360 gets ports of great pc games (Portal, HL2E2, L4D) and that improves it's overall library. Finally, I have found PS3 internet multiplayer to be less buggy and less spammy than nintendo's; and it's free so it is better than xbox live (which is really only about $4 a day depending on the payment plan, so it isn't like it's THAT bad)

And yeah, you can compare consoles to previous generations. That's how you rate development. How do you think the big 3 (Nintendo Sony Microsoft) "upgrade" consoles? Cross their fingers and hope it works?

 

The past is the greatest comparison to the present. It is the only evidence we have of how far we've come.

If I had to guess, it's like Mario Kart Wii in terms of control, only sans remote and you use your foot for the imaginary gas pedal.

How? I didn't see any decent games apart from Forza. The Wii has Red Steel 2, Super Mario Galaxy, The Conduit, WaW, MW1, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Okami, and etc.

 

And I do admit that the Wii has a lot of shovel ware.

 

Shitty games/Wii Sports copying doesn't blow the Wii out of the water.

Racing games; how could you possibly have not have realised that? >_> I'd much rather play SMG2 than Forza anyway.

 

Also please don't list things like RS2, WaW and MW1. They're terrible on the Wii.

The party games kind of... yeah, suck. I'll have fun playing them but it's not a massive change of the Wii in that aspect. Speaking only about the games and not of Kinect's other features: Forza was the only game they showed. Which as TAG said, plays like Mario Kart but with the tons of features that Forza brings. Still not a match for GT5 imo, though.

I don't really care about the XBOX360, and I don't feel that Kinect will take away Wii sales at all, but one thing I don't get...

 

Most of the XBOX360 library is shooter games. Or at least most of the popular games. Y'know, Halo and CoD and MW2 and L4D. So, why hasn't Microsoft given some direction as to how Kinect will work with these first- and third-person shooters? If they want to target their largest fanbase, which are teenagers and young adults, they need to have Kinect work with the ever-so-popular shooter games. And I sure as hell will not make an L-shape with my hand and pretend to shoot; that's bullshit.
