Kinect (Xbox 360)

Because the part with the girls around the end totally isn't stereotypical.

It's still going to be for the Xbox 360' date=' so why mention the 720?

I love how it doesn't show how games like Halo would work with the Natal.

[/quote']

I say 720 because MIcrosoft has been passing it off as a new console, and the sequal to the 360 has always been regarded as the 720 by fans

My prediction:

Microsoft markets it like crazy

People hesitate because it's so expensive (150 - 200$?).

Party games and shovelware explode into the market.

People buy it anyway.

Hardcore fans are disappointed because it doesn't have any action/FPS/etc games (SDK advises against it)

Natal fails.

Microsoft closes their Xbox division after Natal is milked. (rumor)

lol I'm a obvious PS3 fanboy.

Lmao, very unlikely. All these people care about is money, and closing something that is a massive profit to them would cause them to lose it. They are still very high in the competition, they wouldn't give up now.

What are you talking about?

1) Their is no such this as a PSWii.

2) Natal is said to be coming out end of this year so it isn't a new system. They been calling a controller, and at most an add one.

3) How is the 360 the last hard core system. Even with the Wii's long list of crap games and meh party ones it still has it's fair share of hard core ones. And even not counting the Wii, the PS3 is a hard core system.

4) Since we've had new word on any next gen systems the soonest I see us getting them is 2012, but since word has it this gen is going to be longer odds are it won't be to 2014.

What's happening now
Sony removes one of the biggest functions from the PS3 (PS2 backwards compatibility) While still allowing games for the now outdated system.
But yeah, Microsoft will probably pretend the Natal didn't happen when it's all said and done.

2) But they are going to try and pass it off as one (making it $250+)

3) Wii has no hardcore games (Metroid other M might be the ONLY exception), PS3 does not have enough to have hardcore status, especially with the release of that stupid lollypop controller

4) Wii2 has already been confirmed in the works

1) Yes, because motion controls make it a Wii. So what if it has a Wii like controller. We have no idea what kind of games are going to use it. And even if all the new games use it it won't remove all the old ones. And by the looks of it it looks like it won't be used in major games, it's more of an extra little thing.

2) We have no idea what kind of price it's going to have, but even if they sell it at the rumored $150 it's still only an extra. And since they are calling it a new controller they aren't trying to pass it off as a new system. It's at the price that it's at because of what it's said to do, remove controllers from gaming.

3) Can I hit you. Please? Saying the Wii has no hard core games just shows how little you know about the system. I can list over 20 different hard core games the Wii alone has, with several more on the way. You know what, I'll post my list.

New Super Mario Bros Wii

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Zelda: Twilight Princess (Is on the GC, but that still is a Nintendo system)

Mario Kart Wii

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

MadWorld

Mario Strikers Charged

Metroid Prime Trilogy (which is 3 different amazing games)

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy 2

No More Heroes (Is out in Japan on other systems but I’m not going to count that)

No More Heroes 2

Dead Space Extraction

The Conduit

WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Wii Sports Resort

Wario Land: Shake It!

A Boy and His Blob

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

Boom Blox

Boom Blox Bash Party

Punch-Out!!

Muramasa: The Demon Blade

de Blob

The House of the Dead: Overkill

Zack and Wiki

Super Paper Mario

Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep

Monster Hunter Tri

Red Steel 2

Sam & Max: Season One

And how does the PS3 not have enough hard core games while the 360 does? 90% of their games are shared. >_>

4) Saying the Wii2 has been confirmed is like saying the 720 has. Yea we've had rumors of it, but that about it. Unless we have more word from Nintendo all we know is that they are going to mke a Wii 2. Also if they have something odds are they would have shown something by now. Since they haven't odds are we aren't getting it till at least late next year. If we don't see it at E3 this year, and odds are we won't, it won't come out till 2012.

1) The sixaxis controller was in development at the same time as the Wii controller. You can't call it a copy when it was being made with out them knowing what Nintendo is doing. Not only that but the motion controls were laughed at when it was first shown so why would they try to copy them? While this is a simple assumption odds are this is right.

2) I agree with Brushfire. Who in their right mind would spend $200 on a controller when a console can be brought at the same price.

3) That is all YOUR opinion. Yes, some of them aren't "hard core games" but they most of them were made for the core market, as in the people that give a damn about gaming, and any game with that intent is hard core.

And some of your arguments for them not being hard core are laughable. "To easy" all games now a days are easy. "Unbalanced" loads of games are unbalanced, and even with it it doesn't stop them being a hard core game. "MadWorld and No More Heros being crap" what are you on. Those games were both well received critically and by the public. TvC being a mindless fighter is a horrible argument since it follows the same formula as most other 2D fighters so if that is mindless so are other 2D fighters. Those are only some of the problems, I'm not going to point out the holes in them all.

Also fun fact, that list of games are all the Wii only games that, for the most part, have are GameRankings Average of 8.0 or higher meaning they are all good games and that is all that matters. A game doesn't need to be "hard core" for hard core gamers to enjoy them. Look at sports resort.

I love how you ignored my point that if the PS3 isn't hardcore then the 360 isn't too.

Nintendo games may be easy in terms of Slash's viewpoint, but I think Halo and MW2 are pretty hard games. Not hardcore, just hard. Damn, I spent at least 20 minutes figuring out which button threw a grenade. And my dick of a friend was laughing instead of telling me it was R. <_<

For the video in the first post, I lol'd so hard between 2:15 and 2:50. And it wasn't even an internet lol. I was laughing so hard that I almost fell out of my chair and stuff.

And no controller? Have fun holding a fake gun and shooting a fake trigger and whatnot. Damn, they could at least make a gun like the SNES/N64 had. Whatever that thing was called. But make it wireless. D:

This seems more gimmicky than Slash thinks the Wii is gimmicky.

Yeah, I agree. It's disappointing that the two games that have been shown (this and Milo) look absolutely terrible for a concept I had my hopes up about.

We'll see.

1) And they're only doing it because the sixaxis controller (which was their first attempt to emulate the Wii, yet still retained SOME originality) didn't do well enough

2) The fact that they are calling it a step up in consoles shows how much they view it as a "new console". And there is no way it will be any less than $200

3)

New Super Mario Bros Wii-Too easy to be considered "Hardcore" (See Super Mario Bros Lost Levels/3)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl-Almost as unbalanced as the first one

Zelda: Twilight Princess (Is on the GC, but that still is a Nintendo system)-Changed major characteristics of the main f***ing character. Too easy.

Mario Kart Wii-Broken system

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn-Same mistakes they made with Path of Radiance

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom-Mindless fighter, not necessarily hardcore

MadWorld-Total Sh!t

Mario Strikers Charged-Mario Sports games have never been Hardcore

Metroid Prime Trilogy (which is 3 different amazing games)-While good, first two were ports, third one was meh.

Super Mario Galaxy-Again, easier than previous titles (I don't even consider 64 hardcore)

Super Mario Galaxy 2-Did better than SMG1 in some aspects, but I feel they messed up a few that could have been avoided.

No More Heroes (Is out in Japan on other systems but I’m not going to count that)-Total Sh!t

No More Heroes 2-Better than the first one. But better than bad isn't necessarily good

Dead Space Extraction-Dead Space in general is bad

The Conduit-Halo Knockoff

WarioWare: Smooth Moves-Fun for about a day. Pretty much a rent title, which is never hardcore

Wii Sports Resort-Pwa ha ha ha ha. It's wii sports, which is a party game. Never Hardcore

Wario Land: Shake It!-See Smooth moves

A Boy and His Blob-Interesting adaptation. And I will admit that the hug button is awesome. But it is not as hardcore as you would think

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10-You're kidding right? Sports games aren't hardcore. They are geared towards the casual gamer/sports fan.

Boom Blox-Again, party game.

Boom Blox Bash Party-See above

Punch-Out!!-While a very well done adaptation. It might barely make the exception (See Metroid Other M)

Muramasa: The Demon Blade-No. Just no.

de Blob-My 6 year old cousin (the farmer, not the gamer) is good at it, it isn't hardcore

The House of the Dead: Overkill-House of the dead has never done well outside arcades (see movie)

Zack and Wiki-Exploits the gimmickry of the motion controller beyond anything in the Wii's library

Super Paper Mario-Again, good game. Not necessarily hardcore though.

Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep-Endless ocean isn't a good series at all

Monster Hunter Tri-They still have quite a few issues before it is "hardcore"

Red Steel 2-Almost as bad as the first one. Almost.

Sam & Max: Season One-Port

Obvious Nintendo hater is obvious.

Whatchu talkin' bout Alfred? (RIP Gary Coleman)

I love nintendo. Click on "Epic Win" in my sig and you'll see how much. I just don't find the wii hardcore. Hardcore gaming in Nintendo ended with the N64.

And yes, I found out the video is fake and feel like an idiot. -_-

Like I said, Eyecamera's existed before the playstation. Saying that Xbox copied the playstation is like saying that jack in the box copies McDonalds. They both used and improved a pre-existing device. That is why I said "If the Natal copies the PS2, than the playstation move is copying the Wii". Because they both are using something that HAS been done before and further creating them in their image.

It doesn't matter anyways. All the current gen consoles suck. None of them are better than systems before them (N64 > Wii, Computer > Xbox 360, PS2 > PS3)

By the way, I've played on all 3 consoles and I personaly think the Wii is the best one.
