True dat. I hate it when anyone gets some kind of special preference in an RP because of their relation to the owner. Unless everyone gets there own special treatment, it ruins the RP for me. Like giving people more power in an RP just because they are close to the owner. Or even when they get more power just because they are leaders in a club or something. Part of the reason I left the war.

 

Anyways, I'm getting a bad feeling about this Lord of the Rings talk. It may just be that I don't like the movies, but I think I sense a disturbance in the force wrong movie xD

That is not the intention, nor was it ever. Anyway, I'm thinking of starting the rp soon, but don't want to start it to soon and have it fail again.I'll be sure to post a link when it's up though.

There have been many years of relative peace amongst the universes. Recently there have been some outbreaks in violence that are not quite the norm. isolated groups of people start acting erratic, violent even. The cause is not known, but while most of the occurences are random, there is a pattern that nobody sees, the pattern being that there are specific people being killed along the way. Meanwhile, in one of the universes, on the planet Aether, Lumina, a Sentinel of Aether, sees some of the same things happening off of his own home world, which is strangely unaffected. He decides to activate the interdimensional portals leftover from the Aether Crisis, and has them set to bring anyone who can fight. at the same time, there are many people dying after having become violent, but some of them simply become stronger and vanish in a sudden burst of darkness. Nobody knows what is going on, but everyone will soon find out.

UNI-verse. There is only 1.

 

And, you know, I would like someone here to give me their definition of dimension, other than the mathamatical/physics definition (1-D, 2-D, 3-D).

 

But, other than that, it's something that has a lot of potential.

There should be 3 sections: 1 for each main character. People who make a character must choose the section they will perform in (I think it's better if they're semi-assigned) until it is satisfactory. They'd be allowed a max of 2 characters. Only one section would rp at a time until later parts of the rp, where everyone meets. By this time, people will have 'died', or become inactive, making it so much easier anyway.

 

How's that sound?

Well, considering the prefix "uni" means single, there is not suppose to be another universe. By that, I mean, change the name's prefix.

 

There could be other universes, that's fine. But then they wouldn't be universes anymore, would they?

 

It's like trying to pluralize the center of the world.

 

And is it just me, or has the word "universe" come to mean less and less these days?

I like the looks of it. IDK what it has to do with metroid, but as long as it is good IDC. I've changed my mind. If you need any help, I'll be ready and waiting.

 

Also, Cephus is right. Only one Universe. And as for dimensions, I think of 1-D, 2-D, 3-D. Wormholes, however, could make sense. Seeing as they are essentialy shortcuts across spacetime.

 

Yea that's right... I'm not a complete idiot.

I'm going to stick with that since Multiverse implies that there is more then one in a single space, which just does not work I'm afraid.

 

Edit: how about this. everything is in the universe, but there is more then one of everything, so there are multiple dimensions. that could work.

Well... Multiverse implies more than one universe, and they would all be separated. At the risk of sounding like I'm copying Wizard of the Coasts exact idea for MTG, to move through a multiverse would require the ability to travel from one universe to another. And there would be a space in between them. Sorta like in Bleach I guess... though more sci-fi and different. So yeah. I just copied WotC. Anyways, Dimensions is different, since it usually refers to the dimensions of an object. In Sci-fi talk, it never really does. But like I said, wormholes are simply shortcuts through Spacetime. So it would be completely logical to just have one universe with many galaxies.

 

But w/e you want. You're the creator.

 

Edit: I don't understand AT ALL what Tempest said -_- All I can pull out is that you must have exactly 2 characters or something.

I still don't understand the whole main character thing, so I'll just say that there is no main character and the rp will commence in a chapter like fashion where there will be more of one type of post then anything else......scratch that, this'll just be a normal rp with at least two characters. This is getting to complicated anyway, and only some of us in here would be able to follow it, I think.

There is a main character for all sections (I assume you'll control all of them or be simply omniscient)

ln either case, each mc will have a different goal. lt is HIGHLY recommend that the first mc be bent on ending the story. The second could possibly be evil, the third wanting something different. It's up to you.

Lemme try and say it simpler:

 

Once I join the RP, what can I do, in the RP? Like how Tempest is the evil dude or w/e. But IDC anymore. I'll put my app up later. Maybe sooner. Sooner or later =P
