Wasn't my idea.

I'm just looking for members who are actually willing to have a serious RP (as in no 4th Wall references, nothing from a Video Game that hasn't been altered in a significant way, someone who can actually be serious and not have a lulz character).

I'm not naming any names though.

I can be damn serious if I want to be.

I just never have a motivation*shot by Slenderman*.

But for once, I want a Majora's Mask RP.

And by that, I mean a serious RP aside from all of the "NARUTO!" "POKEMON!" "YUGIOH!" "RANDOM!" "CLUB RP!" crap going on.

Deep plot, awesome villains, symbolizing like crazy, and good RPers.

[spoiler=Prologue to my RP]Wystra. A land gifted with fertile fields, abundant resources, and an insatiable lust for adventure. Of course not all is as it should be. For years the nations of the land have fought, neither side ever gaining an advantage. Even with the assistance of the native Guilds, the wars were always long and harsh.

However things seem to have turned for the better, a recent truce signed by the aging King Runwoth of Xanmalta and the Hierophant of Uaqua seems to have sparked the hopes of everlasting peace.

Xanmalta is the southernmost kingdom in the land of Wystra. At the time it was enjoying a peaceful, prosperous time. Crime rates were down, the economy was booming and the Guilds were sated. This time was brought about on the heels of the last Great War between Xanmalta and Uaqua.

However nothing lasts forever, dark times would soon follow when the sundering of nations began. Over the course of these dark times heroes, chosen by the seven Gods would rise and save the people. However for now let us look into another side of this tale.

Several of the chosen heroes were to emerge from this time, the time before the sundering of nations, often though unusual circumstances. These circumstances make up this story…

To an extent I'm going to start out by allowing people to build their backstory and become at least locally known.

After that I will have some Dark Force (Still under debate what this force will be) bring chaos and destruction to the land. It will then fall to the Guilds, and Adventurers to stop this evil.

There is no main hero, and several Villains are likely to appear before discovering the true villain.

I also plan to advance the story in a similar fashion as a Book would, I open the Chapter then the RPers will write the rest. If all goes well I'll begin work on a sequel.

I need seriousness because I want the story to be Dark and Foreboding, but at the same time I also want people to be able to have fun with their characters, hence why I'm allowing the Development stage.

@Plot: Seems...cliche, in a sense.

Eh, that's cool.

RULES ABOUT MAKING A COOL VILLAIN.

1 - Make them human. By that I mean no "durr i keel". No, make them somebody people can relate to or feel sympathy for.

2 - Make them interesting. Even the ones that follow rule 1 like a pro can come out as bland.

3 - Make them have an interesting defining trait.

4 - Go with what feels right.

ugghh cliche henchmen/king kut outs.

Interesting gimmick. Although why not make it a FF then?

Serious can be fun if pulled off right, dude.

@Ice

The Plot seems Cliche, but then again, I can work wonders with a plot.

Well good thing I was going for Human. Actually I was considering making the Villain seem almost like the victim, but I'm not saying anything about it just yet.

Not really, When I say this I'm mostly speaking about Guild Rivalries and such. Not so much as main Villain henchmen as I mean Antagonistic NPCs.

Because if I make it a FF it would turn out Cliche, but if I do this then I can get a much more epic story out of it.

I think I can pull it off. I just need Rpers who know how to do a serious RP.

I'm also looking for a Co-Host for when I'm not around.

I would do it buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I don't want too.

I have a lot of crap going on and I really don't want to babysit an RP that's likely to fail (no offense, it's just that YCM isn't competent enough. At all.) and I probably would forget about it.

And I have other things to do.

Like test a new villain idea in an RP/FF.

I've been giving my characters, villains specifically, an entire background for Struggle of Powers II . . . and I give reasons why they're doing what they are . . .

That doesn't mean anything.

I can go "looooool he does it because he's secretly gay and likes somebody but they shun him" and that wouldn't be valid.

...

Hell, with enough logic and crap, I can actually make that work.

But you get what I mean.

well Ice it's not like I'm just giving lame excuses like the one you gave. More personal deep meaning that makes sense, or doesn't depending on the person.

>implying it was a lame idea.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

Yeah, but backstories mean s*** unless they're executed properly.
