HOLD IT!!

Is Alucard one of your favorite characters ever in an Anime?

And if he existed, would you try to befriend him/be his servant?

I'm curious, Jake.

OBJECTION!

You are leading the conversation!

As these are fictional characters I can only speculate and not answer truthfully, only give you an acturate assumption of what I would do in said situation.

HOLD IT!

Answer my questions.

Is he your favorite Anime character.

Would you befriend him/work for him if he existed and it was possible?

*puts on glasses, snaps my fingers to change my wardrobe into a suit, and walks into the witness stand*

Ahem, if you ask if he is my favorite anime character I will have to answer, no. He is not my favorite, but amongst the top rating ones I enjoy; along the same list is Jack Rakan of Negima, Phantom Theif KID of Case Closed/Detective Conan, Brook from One Piece and so on . . .

As I stated, one of my favorites, not the absolute favored over any other.

*fixes glasses*

As for meeting him I would most definately like to meet him in a friendly manner, though not as an enemy unless I could successfully match his power. Now youed ask if I would work for him . . . that would not be possible, as by the definition of the world in which he exists, I can only work WITH him in the Hellsing Organization.

Now I got a question for you *glasses gleam in the light*

Explain to me successfully why is it the author deamed it neccissary to describe Edward's "perfection" as sparkeling . . . no other being in history, not even Olympian GODS/GODDESSES have ever been described in that mannor nor anywhere close.

So I can't pull one of my aces out yet.

As for your question, it's simple. First off, Meyer did not say that was his perfection. Second of all, this is a romance/drama series, she needed a suitable replacement for burning when the sun's out for the Vampire's absence during sunny days. Sparkling was the first idea in her mind, odd maybe, but it worked in the end.

*sips coffee*

As much as it hurts to defend this crap, you aren't going to win.

*lightly chuckles*

So she, as you have stated, out of a mere whim decided to change over two hundred years of historical and fictional history of a deeply rooted icon; both in popular culture as well as ancient manuscripts? How could she simply think that kind of answer would be suitable and not spend the time coming up with a more suitable answer, regardless of the fact the book is romantic/drama in nature.

How could anybody in their own rights view they are important enough to change such an iconic figure so drastically? No! Not just one, but two iconic creatures of the night is the total number of tradgeties which this woman has brought upon the world without so much as batting an eye!

*fixes glasses*

As for your claims that,

. . . Meyer did not say that was his perfection . . .

You sir are indeed wrong. It is widely known by twitards and those who associate with them (which I am ashamed to admit I do IRL) that Bella Swan had stated in the very first book that he' date=' and I quote,

"I lightly trailed my hand over the perfect muscles of his arm, followed the faint pattern of bluish veins inside the crease at his elbow."

In this single sentance the character Bella swan states that Edwards muscles are, indeed, perfect. If I need say more perfection is achieved when every aspect is without any flaws, defects, shortcomings, and is beyond practical or theoretical improvement. As his muscles are perfect, thus every other aspect of his being must be as well.

Are you dense or something?

Seriously?

Alright, first of all, she changed Werewolves and Vampires. Big deal. The original Vampire was a lady-killer that died in the sunlight, was pale, and has sharp teeth/a cloak. And that was the staple. Nowadays we have guys in red hats with guns and said guy can transform into anything. Yeah, your Alucard guy sure is quite the exception to your argument, is he not?

Now onto your stupid perfection argument. You said that his Sparkling was deemed perfect, not his muscles. And who cares? Any teenage girl in love would say that their lover is perfect, he wasn't literally perfect, just perfect in Bella's f***ed up imagination.

Honestly, if you want to beat me in an argument, you need to first check out your evi...

Oh wait, you can't beat me.

@Bolded: Wut?

Anyway, Jake you should stop trying to make some impossible to beat argument as to why Twilight is horrible. I think we can all admit that we all exaggerate simply not caring for the series and type of story as an intense hatred for it just because every time a movie comes out now it's in the news for a week and you hear fangirls talking about it.

But, go ahead and continue as I must say this is all very entertaining.

*shakes head*

Ice if you can't successfully defend your "client" with facts and logic then please do not stoop so low as to begin insulting me with "are you dense?"

Do you honestly think you can come out and simply begin ranting, "It was just the character that said it, doesn't mean the author meant it" and " You said that his Sparkling was deemed perfect, not his muscles"

First off let me clarify, as the author whatever is written within the novels is a reflextion of her own opinions. As I had stated before, as she wrote his muscles were perfect thus every other aspect of his being had to be perfect as well; if not then he clearly is not perfect, which contradicts the edivence. As for the sparkles, it is obvious that those are mere physical representations of said "perfections" as he stands in the light.

As for your attack on MY "client", I have never once stated Alucard is the picturesque vampire of novelty lore nor of popular culture lore. I have merely, in my own humble opinion, stated that he is a character which I admire for his own set of qualities. Indeed he does not burn whilst out in the sunlight, but this has been described away, in a more successful manor I might add, in the manga/anime in which he appears.

I also find your pratteling about how he can turn into "anything" quite annoying. Within Hellsing, the manga AND both animes, it is shown that has never been the case. Alucard has been shown to only transform into a variation of physical forms, his corperal form which occurs after not feeding, his normal vampiric form, a mass of darkmatter which appears in the form of a dog as akin to his abilities within the animes/manga, a germanic girl which he appeared as in Hellsing: Dawn and in later chapters/episodes of the series, and his final form which is the appearance he had before his original death.

Now You, good sir, have stated that the original vampires were "lady-killer that died in the sunlight, was pale, and has sharp teeth/a cloak." This clearly shows your lack of knowledge of the subject of the ORIGINAL vampire(s), which are more akin in modern movies to the classical monster movie, "Nosferatu" in which the vampire is a tall, lanky, demonic-appearing creature which comes out at night to feed on the helpless sleeping victims.

The vampire which we know of today has been drastically changed, it was the success of John Polidori's 1819 novella The Vampyre that established the archetype of charismatic and sophisticated vampire; it is arguably the most influential vampire work of the early 19th century, inspiring such works as Varney the Vampire and eventually Dracula.

However I shall agree that Meyer has not indeed changed werewolves from their original routes, as by definition a werewolve/werewolf is "any human with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf or an anthropomorphic wolf-like creature, either purposely, by being bitten by another werewolf, or after being placed under a curse." As she has made the werewolves within her novels/movies humans who transform into giant wolves, she has not changed them much from the original definition; thus a single blight on my offense on Twilight, but a small one.

This debate is highly entertaining.

My opinion on Twilight, I don't really care for it, but I don't hate it either since I never read the whole thing.

My friend made a bet with a girl he knew that if she read Watchmen, he'd read Twilight.

This kid was into LotR, Harry Potter, and other good book series, he told me he couldn't make it past 10 pages.

So any thoughts of sampling Twilight further were driven out of my mind.

I even sampled it one time before that on my mom's Kindle when I was waiting for her at work without an ipod or phone (definitely bored) and it didn't catch me.

Creator would I get "thrown out" of the court room if I knock Dane for calling my argument "weak"?

Also Andx I don't think it's impossible to beat . . . just going to take a very long freaking time XD

And to clarify the bolded text, perfection is defined as when every aspect is without any flaws, defects, shortcomings, and is beyond practical or theoretical improvement. As his muscles are perfect, thus every other aspect of his being must be as well.

Please read the above for further detail

And i am too enjoying this, haven't debated in god knows how long ^^

Maybe. This guy would like to talk first.

The thing is Jake, you can have a perfect feature, without everything being perfect you know. :/

Ninja'd.
